The Assurance Of Salvation; Once Saved Always Saved

The Assurance Of Salvation; Once Saved Always Saved
Scriptures Proving Once Saved Always Saved

After anyone gets saved with our Lord Jesus, they can not lose their salvation. Right now get saved; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. The following scriptures prove that once anyone is saved with Jesus, they are always saved. 1 John 5:13 says These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life (After salvation you will know with a witness that you are saved with eternal life that can not be lost) and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Jesus promised at John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my Word and believeth on Him that sent me hath (presently right now) everlasting life (that can not be lost) and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life. 1 Peter 1:5 promises Who are kept by the power of God (not our good works) through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Jesus promised at John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Once saved always saved. You don't hope to have salvation, think you might have salvation, or wait to find out if you have salvation when you die; When you get saved and believe Jesus is God and the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again, you know right away presently that you have salvation and eternal life that can not be lost. Ignore people that say you have to keep doing good works to assure your salvation. If our good works saved us, we wouldn't need to trust in Jesus for salvation. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith (in Jesus alone); and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. You don't work to be saved; You work because you are saved. I would not work my soul to save for this my Lord has done but I would work like any slave for love of his dear Son. We do good works after salvation to let others see Jesus where later at the bema judgment seat after the rapture we will receive rewards for our good works.

A Preacher Once Said That The Two Greatest Things In Life Are
1) Be saved and know it
2) Be in the perfect will of God and know it

Be like Peter walking on the water trusting only Jesus to save him from sinking. Matthew 14:30 says But when he (Peter) saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord (Jesus) save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Peter didn't twiddle the beads and say Hail Mary mother of God remember a sinner in the hour of trouble; Peter didn't say the Lord's prayer (Our Father which art in heaven); Peter just said Lord Jesus save me by faith and Jesus saved him. Remember it's all summed up by saying Trust Jesus and go to heaven; Trust anything else and go to hell.

Just Trust Jesus Only For Salvation While You Sing The Blessed Hymn
My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less Than Jesus Blood And Righteousness
Once Saved With Jesus Always Saved

And sing the words below for My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name

On Christ the solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

When darkness veils His lovely face; I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale; My anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, His blood; Support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives way; He then is all my hope and stay

When He shall come with trumpet sound; O may I then in Him be found
In Him my righteousness alone; Faultless to stand before the throne

Trust God's Word For Assurance Of Salvation

To have confidence that you have salvation that can not be lost, put your trust totally in God's Word; Not by how you feel or don't feel; Not by a dream or what anyone tells you. Just trust the Word Jesus by faith and not yourself for salvation. Romans 10:17 tells us So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. John 10:28 promises salvation that can not be lost where Jesus said And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

In other words, I might look like a rooster but I ain't ever been plucked out of God's hand and lost my salvation. I'm not holding God's hand where I can lose my salvation; Jesus' nail scarred hand is reaching down and holding my hand forever with the promise that Jesus gives me eternal life that can not be lost. And I can't jump out of God's hand because I'm in Christ married to Jesus and bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh (the bride of Christ). Romans 12:5 says that we are in Christ as His bride; So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 2 Timothy 1:12 also assures that we can't lose salvation saying For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He (Jesus and not our good works) is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.

A lot of preachers doubt their salvation and think they have to keep believing and doing good works to be saved. When a preacher doesn't even know if he's saved, he won't be able to witness and win souls to Jesus effectively. When anyone doubts their salvation, they will lose joy and peace. Instead keep rejoicing and believe God's promise in the Word that once someone is saved they are always saved. Luke 10:20 tells us to keep rejoicing that we are always saved saying Notwithstanding in this rejoice not that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

You'll Get More Done For Jesus With An Assurance Of Salvation
Builders Successfully Finished The Golden Gate Bridge
When They Realized A Safety Net Under The Bridge Protected Them

When builders were constructing the Golden Gate Bridge, they put bolts into steel very high in the sky. If any of them slipped, they could fall into the water and die. To prevent any casualties, a huge net was installed under the bridge to save workers if they fell. As soon as the net was installed, the builders got more work done, were more effective, and no one fell into the net because they knew that they were safe. These builders said if I fall, I know that the net will catch me and as a result they successfully finished building the Golden Gate Bridge.

Like these builders, we can get a lot more done for Jesus when we believe that we can not lose our salvation where we are saved forever and safe in the arms of Jesus. If we are confident about our salvation, we'll continue to witness and have joy to give us strength to survive in this wicked world. It's depressing when a preacher says you can lose your salvation by doubt or lack of good works. Note that when I say you can't lose your salvation, I'm not telling people it's OK to sin. After salvation if you continue to sin, God will chastise and punish you for correction. If after the chastisement, a person continues to sin, they might die. Romans 6:1 says What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein. Remember for all people (saved and lost) Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rejoice With The Assurance Of Salvation
Receive Peace While You Sing The Hymn Safe In The Arms Of Jesus
Written By Fanny Crosby In 1868

Safe in the arms of Jesus; Safe on His gentle breast
There by His love oershaded; Sweetly my soul shall rest

Hark tis the voice of angels; Borne in a song to me
Over the fields of glory; Over the jasper sea

Safe in the arms of Jesus; Safe from corroding care
Safe from the world's temptations; Sin cannot harm me there

Free from the blight of sorrow; Free from my doubts and fears
Only a few more trials; Only a few more tears

Jesus my hearts dear refuge; Jesus has died for me
Firm on the Rock of Ages; Ever my trust shall be

Here let me wait with patience; Wait till the night is oer
Wait till I see the morning; Break on the golden shore

Assurance Of Salvation Is Like A
Passenger Trusting A Pilot To Safely Fly Him To A Destination

When anyone travels on an airplane they can either relax and trust the pilot to safely fly them to a destination or they can worry about the safety of the flight. Whenever I travel on an airplane I relax and quote Deuteronomy 33:27 that says The eternal God is thy refuge and underneath (the airplane) are the everlasting arms. We should all be like the man who doesn't worry when he puts a newspaper over his head the entire flight and sleeps peacefully. Note that the man resting peacefully and another man worrying about the safety of the flight are both safe while the pilot steers the airplane safely to its destination.

Choose to be like the man resting peacefully and trusting the safety of the flight. Like this man, don't worry about your salvation and whether Jesus will take you safely as your pilot to heaven with eternal life. Worrying about your salvation every day will make you ineffective for Jesus and is a waste of energy. Instead keep shouting for joy about Jesus daily while you witness Jesus everywhere around this earth trusting that pilot Jesus will take you safely to heaven and give you eternal life.

Learn About The Assurance Of Salvation From
Indians Who Set Fires Around The Outskirts Of Their Camps For Safety

When there were prairie fires in the west of America in 1842 around the camps of Indians, the prairie fires moved so fast that the Indians had to create a way to save their camps. To prevent the prairie fires from burning the Indian camps, the Indians would set fires around the outskirts of their camps for safety. The Indians said that the fire can't come where the fire's already been. This worked and kept the Indians' camps from being destroyed by fire.

Like the Indians, after salvation saints believe that Jesus already suffered our fire and judgment for sin when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary. And the fire of judgment for sin with death in hell can't come where the fire's already been. Jesus already took the fire at the cross of Calvary and saved us from the lake of fire. The fire can't come where the fire's already been. According to John 16:33 and Revelation 2:11 we overcome with Jesus and He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death which is the lake of fire.

Learn About The Assurance Of Salvation
Because Jesus Promises That We Will Pass Over Unto The Other Side
After Salvation We're Going To The Other Side With Jesus In The Kingdom

Jesus told his disciples to get into a ship and let's go to the other side. Jesus promised that they were going to make it safely to the other side regardless of any trouble. Mark 4:35 says And the same day when the even was come, He (Jesus) saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. Like these disciples, even after salvation when we face storms and troubles in this world, we're going to the other side safely to live with Jesus in the kingdom forever. The disciples made it to the other side safely while Jesus rebuked the storms saying peace be still. After salvation Jesus will rebuke our storms and take us safely to the other side that is peaceful heaven.

We Have Assurance Of Salvation
Because We Live Forever With Our High Priest Jesus Who Never Dies
In The City Of Refuge Called The New Jerusalem

In the old testament at Joshua 20:7-8, when sinners entered six cities of refuge, they were safe from harm and trouble as long as the high priest of the city lived and did not die. These six cities all represent safety in Jesus who is our high priest that lives forevermore. I'll list the hebrew meanings of the six cities which all represent Jesus. Kedesh means a holy place; Shechem means shoulder where we lay our burden on the shoulders of Jesus; Isaiah 9:5 says The government shall be upon His shoulders. Hebron means a city of the friend of the merciful God who is Jesus. It also means joining and associating with Jesus. Bezer means gold ore or a remote fortress. According to Psalm 18:2 the Lord Jesus is a Rock, fortress, deliverer, God, strength, buckler, horn of my salvation, and high tower. According to Psalm 19:10 the Word Jesus is to be more desired than much fine gold. Ramoth Gilead means heights in the precious region of the Rock Jesus according to 1 Corinthians 10:4. Finally Golan means rejoicing with Jesus through persecutions and troubles. With Jesus there is an assurance of salvation that can not be lost because our high priest Jesus shall never die and lives forevermore; Jesus promises us after salvation eternal life in the everlasting city of refuge called the new Jerusalem.
