Our Great God Jesus Christ

     Today, let's consider our great God Jesus Christ. Pictured above we see a beautiful rainbow and clouds that Jesus created. Job 26:7 says He (Jesus) stretcheth out the north over the empty place; and hangeth the earth upon nothing; He bindeth up the waters in His thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent under them. Wow, water weighs 800 times more than air; yet it is lifted against the force of gravity, held in suspension above the earth in clouds, moved to definite locations, and brought down as rain.

     How incredible that clouds can hold so much water and not flood this earth. This is because that after Noah was saved from the flood, God promised by a rainbow not to flood this earth. Our God Jesus said at Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

     After looking at the above picture, only a fool would say God did not create the beautiful rainbow and the clouds that hold large amounts of water without breaking and releasing the floodwaters onto the earth. How heathenish and insane for anyone to say that all things in the world are just the result of a fortuitous concourse of atoms. Friend the bible is the truth and proclaims that our God Jesus created everything at Colossians 1:16 For by Him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by Him, and for Him, and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

     Pictured above we see that John 1:1 proclaims Jesus to be God. Only a fool would say that Jesus is not God because Psalm 14:1 proclaims The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Let's compare two scriptures from the bible proving that Jesus is the Word and God. First say John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Now let's see who the Word is that is God by saying Revelation 19:13 And He (Jesus) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood; and His name is called the Word of God. Jesus is the Word and Jesus is God. Get saved now and repent, decide to stop sinning, make Jesus your God, and believe daily that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

     And here's another scripture proclaiming Jesus to be the true God. Say 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. In other words, if you want eternal life where you live forever in peace, receive by faith with your heart our God Jesus. How foolish was the atheist that asked the judge to make a holiday celebrating atheists who deny God. The atheist told the judge christians have Christmas and Easter; therefore atheists should be given a day to celebrate atheism. The judge replied, you already have a holiday for atheists called April Fool's Day because the bible says The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.

     And what a blessing that Jesus created the stars called Pleiades, Orion, Arcturus, and Mazzaroth pictured above. And beyond this Psalm 147:4 says He (Jesus) telleth the number of the stars, He calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord and of great power; His understanding is infinite. Wow, Jesus knows the names of all the stars and knows the exact number of all the billions of stars in this universe. Only a fool would say that our God Jesus did not create these beautiful stars and galaxies.

     Job asked every person who said there is no God at Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleaides (a cluster of stars in heaven)? or loose the bands of Orion (a distant star surrounded by an impenetrable band)? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth (the stars of the zodiac with 36 constellations) in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons (the star over the north pole with his sons which are three little stars in it's tail)? Job answered these questions at Job 9:9 declaring that our God Jesus maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south; which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. And then Paul said at Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God. How unsearchable are His judgments, and his ways past finding out. For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things, to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

     And think about these facts. No man can guide Arcturus with his sons because this blazing sun, 22 times larger than our sun, moves through space like a rocket gliding forward at over 5000 miles a minute guided only by our God Jesus. And only Jesus could create Orion that is so vast that its glory reaches out some trillion miles in all directions. And our God Jesus also made the milky way that is so big that it would take light one hundred million years to travel from one end of it to the other end.

     And then our God Jesus created this earth with its beautiful high mountains cloaked with clouds and capped with diadems of snow. And then our God Jesus decided to carpet this earth with loveliness by creating grass, herbs, fruitbearing trees, and forests. Right now rejoice and praise our God Jesus as you say Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Also Jesus said at Psalm 50:10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

     Since I have proven today by the bible that Jesus is God; now I will also prove that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one. When you get saved and proclaim Jesus as your God, you also receive the Holy Spirit. Take time to compare two scriptures below that define the words advocate and Comforter to both be parakletos.

     1 John 2:1 says My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate (perakletos) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And John 14:26 says But the Comforter (perakletos), which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. This proves that when anyone receives our advocate Jesus as God, they also receive the Comforter Spirit at the time of salvation. The advocate Jesus and the Comforter Holy Spirit are one and the same (both defined in greek to be perakletos). In other words the Holy Ghost is Jesus our advocate who defends us from the devil's accusations.

     Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one. If I take three cups and fill them with water, there are three different cups but the same water. If you get Jesus, you have the Father, and also have the Spirit the moment you are saved. You don't have to work after salvation to get the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:9 says But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. It's impossible to have Jesus and not have the Holy Spirit. Salvation is not progressive; Salvation is instant. When anyone receives Jesus, they also receive God and the Spirit at the same time of their salvation.

A Blessed Launch

     Today, Brother Bob asks my friends everywhere what are you willing to do for our Lord Jesus? Are you willing to deny your flesh and everything in this world to reach out to this lost world and save multitudes of sinners? Pictured above Jesus told us to make a blessed launch by saying at Luke 5:4 Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. Be fishers of men and offer salvation everywhere; Tell people everywhere to repent, stop sinning, make Jesus God of their lives, and daily remember that Jesus died on the cross for them, was buried, and rose again. Proverbs 11:30 tells us The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. James 5:20 says Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

      How far into the deep and out of your comfort zone will you travel to win a lost soul? Jesus as God said at Isaiah 6:8 Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Right now respond and say Here am I (Lord Jesus); send me. Go from timidity to courage, from profession to possession, from contraction and shrinkage to expansion, from much ado about a multitude of small concerns to much interest in the great purpose of winning souls to the Lord Jesus, and from frivolity in the flesh to fervor in the Spirit.

     Friends, I've found that when anyone launches out into the deep with Jesus to win souls, one must totally trust in Jesus (not any person) for everything. So called friends desert us and become enemies, loved ones pass away, and other friends move away. But Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than any brother and will always be there to bless you. Proverbs 18:24 speaks of a friend that sticketh closer than a brother and this is Jesus. Also Proverbs 3:5 promises Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel (defined as calm your nerves) and marrow to thy bones (defined as refreshment from a cup of cold water).

     Pictured above we see a launch in the wrong direction from the deep waters to the shallows of this world. Acts 27:27 tells us the ship Paul was a prisoner on moved from 20 fathoms to 15 fathoms saying But when the fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in Adria (sea), about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country; And sounded, and found it 20 fathoms, and when they had gone a little further, they sounded again, and found it 15 fathoms. Instead christians must move from 15 fathoms to 20 fathoms and launch out in the right direction into the deep to win lost souls everywhere to our Lord Jesus.

     Saints that live daily for Jesus are not descending into this fading world but ascending to blessedness in the eternal peaceful kingdom of God. When a saint gets saved, they begin with emancipation and end with ascension. They begin with a second birth being born again and end with freedom from the second death (the lake of fire). They begin with a quickening from the dead and end with a triumph over death.

     Friend reading this anywhere, Brother Bob encourages you to rise from things terrestial to things celestial; tire of the microscopic and the cheap and hunger for the majestic and the priceless. Lose life's shallow worries and launch out into the deep with visions of multitudes of souls being saved in the unchartered deep. Instead of toying with trivialities, launch out into this lost world with its restless millions waiting in hunger to hear about the Bread of Life (Jesus) and sitting in darkness longing for someone to tell them about the Light (Jesus). Forget the tiddley winking and contemplate the tremendous.

     Pictured above, Elizabeth Prentiss spoke of a blessed launch into the deep when she wrote in her book Stepping Heavenward the blessed saying below:

Once earthly joy I craved

Sought peace and rest

Now thee alone Jesus I seek

Give what is best

     Alfred Tennyson, a great poet of the 1800's also learned to launch out from the shallows to the blessed deep. First at a young age Tennyson wrote O for a man to arise in me, That the man I am may cease to be. But 50 years later Tennyson learned to launch out into the blessed deep and live for the Lord Jesus writing the blessed saying below. 

I have climbed the snows of the age and gaze on the fields of the past

Where I sank with the body at times in the slough of low desire

But I hear no yelp of the beast and the man is quiet at last

As he stands on the heights of life with a glimpse of a height that is higher

     And look at two examples in the bible of great saints that experienced a blessed launch into the deep. Moses, despising ignoble anchorage in Egypt, launched out into the deeps for God, and God enabled him to bring forth mighty laws and a mighty deliverance. David, spurning the shallows, turned his life toward the deeps and by God's guidance, he gave us matchless music and ruled a mighty empire. 

As you launch from the shallows to the blessed deep

Sing the hymn below

Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night

Into thy freedom, gladness, and light

Jesus I come, Jesus I come

Out of my want and into thy wealth

Out of my sickness and into thy health

Out of my sin, and into thy self

Jesus, I come to thee 

     Pictured above the bible encourages us to launch out into the blessed deep and abound sharing the overflowing blessings of the Lord Jesus to multitudes in this fading world. Philippians 1:9 tells us And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. 

     Jesus wants us to live an abundant life that bears much fruit reaching out to the depths of this lost world instead of remaining in the shallows of a selfish life where one tragically says the poem below:

I ponder not the farthest reach of yon infinitude, the sea

These ripples on the silver beach trace wonder vast enough for me

     No, Jesus wants us to leave the selfish shallows and experience a blessed launch bearing much fruit into the unknown depths of this world to win lost multitudes to our Lord Jesus. Jesus does not want us to be branches scantily clustered, nor trees sparsely fruited, nor field miserly productive. Jesus tells us at John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. Jesus also said at John 10:10 that He came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.

     Jesus always encouraged saints to launch out into the deep to reach lost souls with the blessed gospel all over this earth. Jesus insisted that we go beyond mere requirements saying at Matthew 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain (two miles). Then Jesus told us to forgive anyone seven times seventy. Brother Bob says friend anywhere Jesus will bless you with the promises listed below if today you launch out into the deep to win the lost to our Lord Jesus and leave your selfish shallows.

Jesus will calm you through any conflict

Jesus will direct you through any doubt

Jesus will fan you through any faintness

Jesus will guide you through any gloom

 Jesus will help you through any hazard

 Jesus will prompt you through any perplexity

 Jesus will be your star through sorrowful nights

      Jesus will be your voice through any violence    

     And pictured above notice how John 15:15 speaks of an ascending scale of blessing for any saint who chooses to launch out into the deep to win souls for Jesus and leave the selfish shallows. John 15:15 says Henceforth, I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what His Lord doeth; but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you. Notice the ascending scale of John 15:15 that begins with servantship, growing into friendship, and finally ascending into blessed revelations from God the Father.

     I end today's bible study speaking about a blessed missionary named Robert Moffat pictured above who launched out into the blessed deep to win multitudes of South Africans to our Lord Jesus in the 1800's. Read the story below of how Dr. Robert Moffat's obedience led to the salvation of millions of souls throughout Africa.

     In 1842, Dr. Robert Moffat, the Scottish missionary, returned to England to recruit missionaries to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus to lost sinners in South Africa. One night during a snowstorm in London, Dr. Moffat was greatly disappointed to find only a few women attending a church service he was scheduled to preach. Jesus told Dr. Moffat to preach from Proverbs 8:4 Unto you O men I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. Even though no men were present at this church service, Robert Moffat obeyed Jesus and preached a sermon for men to become missionaries to Africa from Proverbs 8:4.

     As Dr. Moffat said to himself Jesus why would you have me preach a sermon about men to only women, he failed to notice a little boy in the loft of the church who rang the bell. Dr. Moffat was greatly surprised when this little boy came down from the loft at the invitation to be saved and become a missionary to Africa. This little boy came down to the altar, got saved and surrendered his life to go to Africa and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

     The little boy's name was David Livingstone who won over a million souls to the Lord Jesus throughout Africa during the 1800's. It's a good thing that Robert Moffat obeyed Jesus and preached Proverbs 8:4 about men to save David Livingstone. Because of Dr. Moffat's obedience to preach a message about men to women, David Livingstone got saved and millions in Africa got saved. If Dr. Moffat did not obey Jesus and preached a message for women, millions of souls in Africa would be in hell right now. How important it is to obey Jesus when our flesh, the world, and our surroundings say to move in a different direction. Be like Dr. Moffat and obey Jesus no matter what it looks like and multitudes all over this earth will be blessed. The one soul we reach for Jesus could be a David Livingstone that saves millions to the Lord Jesus.

Avoiding Mediocrity

     Today, Brother Bob encourages my friends everywhere to be magnificent and not mediocre christians. Come out of do littleness and do nothingness into doing much for our Lord Jesus Christ. No more halfway for Jesus but all the way for Jesus. Don't be lazy and waste your life away on selfish desires. Life moves fast; so use each moment to witness and save souls. Tell people everywhere to get saved, repent, stop sinning, make Jesus their God and remember daily that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

     Ecclesiastes 9:10 says Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might. When was the last time you shared Jesus with someone and won a soul to our Lord Jesus? Every saint should win at least one soul to our Lord Jesus every year. Luke 15:10 says Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

    Notice the two pictures above and don't be mediocre like a farmer having modern farming equipment that chose to cut his wheat with only an ancient Babylonian scythe from the Euphrates valley. Avoid mediocrity and laziness by choosing to devote all the time of your life sharing Jesus with lost sinners all over this earth. Avoid being mediocre like a man that plows only 4 furrows when he has 10 furrows to plow. Or like a person that plays only 10 strings on a 1000 string harp.

     Avoid mediocrity like the stenographer with two bright keen eyes and ten super fingers who shuts one eye and only uses one finger to type. Avoid mediocrity like the owner of a battleship with 24 guns that only uses 5 of these guns to fight the enemy. Avoid mediocrity where when a piano has to be moved in a church, many members volunteer to move only the chair.

Don't Live A Mediocre Life Like Solomon Grundy

Thus ends the life of Solomon Grundy

     Avoid mediocrity and choose to please the Lord Jesus and not man. Colossians 3:23 tells us And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Don't be mediocre and just subdue sparrows and catch rabbits; Become a lion tamer and be willing to reach out to the untamed lost of this world through witnessing about Jesus on this internet or as a missionary to a remote land. 

     Faithfulness needed, we have been false too many times. Heroism needed, we have shown cowardice too many times. Humbleness needed, we have shown pride too many days, forgetting that God resisteth the proud. Volunteers called for, we have served only through conscription and pressing coercion all too often. Applied christianity is needed, but we have been content with implied christianity. Devotional vitality demanded and we have been content with mere formality. Too many men have chosen to become famous worldly giants and have become spiritual pygmies. The wisdom which is earthly, sensual, devilish we have often manifested instead of the true wisdom (Jesus and the Word of God).

     Instead of being only mediocre, choose to live a normal life and grow by shining Jesus brighter and brighter each day of your life. Learn from nature to become better and reach more souls for Jesus each day displaying growth to shine Jesus to this lost world. From the rill (tiny brook) to the river, from the river to the ocean, from the bud to the blossom, from the blossom to the fruit, from the acorn to the oak, from the microscopic cell to the coral reef. Mark 4:28 tells us For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself: first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. Like nature, grow by reading and memorizing the Word of God daily. Psalm 1 promises that God will prosper and fix everything in your life if you daily memorize the scriptures and the Word of God. 

     I pray in Jesus name that like the picture above, our inner brooks of the peace of Jesus break out into flowing rivers that widen into spiritual oceans of living water. Don't just gather mere handfuls of flowers for petty pleasures and personal adornment when there are fields white unto the harvest calling us to bring in the sheaves and save lost souls for Jesus. Psalm 126:6 promises He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed (the Word of God), shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves (souls won to our Lord Jesus) with him.   

     Get out of your personal comfort zone and launch out into the deep for our Lord Jesus to win souls. What are you willing to do today to win souls to our Lord Jesus? Jesus said at Luke 5:4 Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets (to be fishers of men and win souls) for a draught. Don't be content to keep the anchor of your ship voyaging to save lost sinners busier and more overworked than your rudder.

     Avoid mediocrity with much profession oft and little possession oft; measuring inches oft when God demands yards and miles; weighing inches oft when God demands pounds and tons; appearing as platters clean only on the outside, while filthy sinfulness has dominion on the inside. 

     Avoid mediocrity; Don't just use a pushcart when you can use a locomotive. Don't just be a puny pygmy piddling potter clay in the face of peaks when you can be a magnificent blessing for our Lord Jesus. Don't just choose to creep along like a sluggard; choose to lay hold on the plough handles for Jesus and bear much fruit for our Lord Jesus. Jesus told us at Luke 9:62 No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

     Right now say I'm gonna be magnificent and not mediocre for Jesus because John 15:8 says Herein is my Father glorified that ye bear much fruit (not a little bit of fruit) so shall ye be my disciples. Also say Jesus I'm gonna grow up and put away childish mediocre worldly lusts and become your faithful servant because 1 Corinthians 13:11 says When I was  child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

SAVED AND SAVING BY DL MOODY

     One day I saw a steel engraving that I like very much. I thought it was the finest thing I ever had seen at the time and I bought it. It was a picture of a woman coming out of the water and clinging with both arms to the cross. There she came out of the drowning waves with both arms around the cross, perfectly safe. 

     Afterward, I saw another picture that spoiled this one for me entirely; It was so much more lovely. It was a picture of a person coming out of the dark waters with one arm clinging to the cross and with the other she was lifting some one else out of the waves. This is what I like. Keep a firm hold upon the cross, but always try to rescue another from drowning. Don't just be mediocre and cling to the cross by yourself with both arms. Become magnificent and cling to the cross with one arm, and reach out with your other arm to save lost sinners all over this earth.

Revelations From God's Holy Word

     For our first revelation today say James 4:14 pictured above Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Note that our life on this earth is like a vapour that is seen a moment and then vanisheth away. The time of our life on this earth moves quickly. Therefore make the most of each second of your life to save souls. The bible says that NOW is the time to get saved. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee; behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation. Get saved today and repent, decide to stop sinning, make Jesus God of your life, and daily remember that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Make the most of your lives to live for Jesus daily and do not waste your time on fading worldly pleasures. Satisfaction and joy will only occur when we tell people about the Lord Jesus and win souls. I wish I could relive all the times I wasted on worldly pleasures of watching meaningless sporting events and study the treasures from the Word of God that lasts forever. Life on this earth is so short like a thin footprint upon a sea lashed shore; like the stay of a postman; like a glimpse of a passing ship; and like a quick burst of music down a crowded street. Psalm 90:9 says For all our days are passed away in thy wrath; we spend our years as a tale that is told.

THE GREATEST BARRIER TO GETTING PEOPLE SAVED

People are not willing to be saved by God's WAY and TIME

God's WAY is JESUS

God's TIME is NOW 

     Friends everywhere, TODAY NOW is the time to get saved. Hebrews 4:7 says Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. We are not promised tomorrow and what we do with Jesus on this earth determines where we go forever. There is no purgatory and second chance to repent and be saved after this life on this earth. The rich man in hell had no second chance after he died on this earth; Because he rejected Jesus as God, he could not leave hell and was tormented forevermore. If we repent now on this earth and make Jesus our God, we go to heaven in peace forever. If anyone keeps sinning and denies Jesus as God, when they die on this earth, they go to hell and the lake of fire to be tormented forevermore.

     Unfortunately, multitudes of people say tomorrow I'll get saved while I enjoy sinful worldly pleasures. Tomorrow is the philosophy of fools; the subterfuge (deceit) of procrastinators; the day that never is. Tomorrow is a ship in which many have gone to shipwreck; a lamp that failed and left many in eternal darkness; a key that has locked many in dungeons of despair; and an inexorable (impossible to stop) jailor that has imprisoned many behind hell's bars. Tomorrow is the road that has often led to the house of never. Don't say tomorrow I'll get saved; Say I'll get saved Today NOW.

     The prophet Zechariah told us to get saved NOW at Zechariah 1:4 that says Turn ye NOW from your evil ways and from your evil doings; but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord. Because of the brevity of life and the length of eternity, get saved now today; Because of the horror of hell's infernal drums that beat to the ceaseless groans of the lost who rejected the Lord Jesus amid incessant and unmitigated torment, get saved now today. 

     Just think about the blessedness of heaven where you can go if you get saved now today. Heaven is a place where saved saints shall have an eternity of bliss in Jesus' glorified presence, in a place where there is no unhallowed ambition, no strife, and no sin; where all songs are songs of love; where the trees are trees of life, where there is fulness of joy and pleasures forevermore.

     Today's second revelation is how the Lord Jesus knows everything about this earth and our lives. Pictured above we see that this universe is made of molecules, atoms, protons, neutrons, and electrons. Molecules house atoms that hold protons, neutrons, and electrons. Jesus knows each molecule, atom, proton, neutron, and electron of this universe. How blessed to know that Jesus knows everything in this universe, even to the smallest molecule, atom, proton, neutron, and electron.

Why Can't You Tell An Atom A Secret?

Because they make up everything

     And friends everywhere, how comforting to know that Jesus understands everything about your lives and cares about you. The bible says that Jesus knows the numbers of the hairs on your head, the number of your footsteps, your downsitting and uprising, and all your ways at all times and in all places. Take time to say Psalm 139 and praise Jesus; O Lord thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it.

     Don't worry about anything friends. If Jesus can see the little sparrows and protect them daily, Jesus will fix every problem in our lives. Matthew 10:29 says Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

     I pray in Jesus name that anyone who forevermore reads this will remember that Jesus lives in them and will arise and say to any storm peace be still creating a great calm. Mark 4:39 tells us And He (Jesus) arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Jesus made the raging waves to lie down like sleeping dogs at His feet and the winds howling like maniacs began to whisper softly like babes in sleep.

     For our final revelation today, we see pictured above how several disciples saved Paul's life by lowering him in a basket down a wall to escape from Jews who counselled to kill him. Acts 9:23 says And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him (Paul). But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket. 

     Now note how important the disciples were to keeping Paul alive. If it wasn't for these disciples lowering Paul down a wall in a basket and saving his life, most of the bible would not have been written by Paul. Friend reading this anywhere, you might feel that you are not that important and do only small things for our Lord Jesus. But like these disciples, you are important whenever you do anything to help the saints of God preach the Lord Jesus to lost sinners.

     Remember we are all one team working for Jesus to save lost sinners all over this earth. A kind word, visiting the sick and afflicted, and assisting the fatherless and widows in their affliction helps save lost souls and shine the Lord Jesus to this lost world. Neighbor, our good works don't save us, but Jesus will reward us at the bema judgment seat for all our kind deeds that lets the world see the Lord Jesus in our lives.

     For my final thought today, take time to read how DL Moody, the greatest preacher of the 1800's who won thousands to our Lord Jesus, got saved. When DL Moody was 18, he applied for a job at a shoe store. The owner of the shoe store told DL Moody that he had to go to church in order to get the job. At first, DL Moody said I don't want to go to church but to get the job DL Moody went to church that Sunday. 

     When DL Moody arrived at church that Sunday morning, he attended Sunday School taught by a humble unknown man named Ed Kimball. This humble man taught DL Moody about Jesus and as a result DL Moody got saved and became one the greatest preachers ever, winning millions in the USA and England to the Lord Jesus. Now note that if it wasn't for Ed Kimball, DL Moody would not have been saved and millions of lost sinners would have died and went to hell. DL Moody is one of Brother Bob's heros. In the 1800's before planes existed, DL Moody traveled across the Atlantic Ocean several times to England where thousands awaited him on the shores of Great Britain to hear about the Lord Jesus. Millions of sinners in America and England got saved and made Jesus their God because of DL Moody and a little unknown Sunday school teacher named Ed Kimball who loved our Lord Jesus.

      You see how important each one of us is when we share Jesus with this world. Brother Bob might not have his name in lights like Ed Kimball; but if this book for Jesus can reach one person anywhere on this earth, that person could reach multitudes for Jesus Christ. Right now say with me, it's not about Brother Bob, it's not about DL Moody or his Sunday School teacher, and it's not about me, It's all about lifting up the Lord Jesus. Jesus said at John 12:32 And I, if I (Jesus) be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 

     Note DL Moody's blessed saying pictured above: A little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but a lot of faith will bring heaven to your soul. DL Moody also said go to heaven first class by saying Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust, and not be afraid instead of going to heaven second class by saying Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

What DL Moody saw when he left this earth and entered heaven

     A few hours before entering the homeland, DL Moody caught a glimpse of the glory awaiting him. Awakening from a sleep, he said, Earth recedes, heaven opens before me. If this is death, it is sweet. There is no valley here. God is calling me, and I must go. His son who was standing by his bedside said, No, no, father, you are dreaming.

     No, said Mr. Moody, I am not dreaming: I have been within the gates: I have seen the children's faces. A short time elapsed and then, following what seemed to the family to be the death struggle he spoke again: This is my triumph; this my coronation day. It is glorious.
