Comparing The Man Jesus To The God Jesus

COMPARING THE MAN JESUS TO THE GOD JESUS

Jesus is a man, prophet, great teacher, Son of God, and Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. The following scriptures prove that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. 1 Timothy 3:16 says And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God (Jesus) was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Romans 14:9 says For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. 1 John 5:20 says And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

The Lord Jesus became a man in order to free man from sin at the cross of Calvary and destroy the devil. Hebrews 2:14 says Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Hebrews 4:15 says For we have not an high priest (Jesus) which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Now let's compare how Jesus is a man and also is God manifest in the flesh. The man Jesus allowed a ship to carry Him across the sea. The God Jesus walked on the waves of the sea as though they were floors of opal and amethyst and emeralds. John 6:19 says So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

The man Jesus slept on a pillow in a boat. The God Jesus arose from sleep and calmed the raging storm. Jesus made the raging waves lay down like sleeping dogs at His feet and the winds howling like maniacs to whisper like babes softly in sleep. Mark 4:39 says And He (Jesus) arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

The man Jesus pictured above got thirsty on the cross of Calvary. The God Jesus pictured above who is the living water told the Samaritan women at Jacob's well, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink: thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water (John 4:10).

The man Jesus got tired. The God Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The man Jesus got hungry. The God Jesus fed thousands with a lad's lunch. The man Jesus wept at Lazarus' grave. The God Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. The man Jesus was despised and rejected of men. The God Jesus is worshipped and adored by innumerable angels in heaven. Revelation 7:11 says And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

The man Jesus began His ministry in the wilderness hungering when the devil tempted Him saying at Matthew 4:3 If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But He (Jesus) answered, and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. The God Jesus is the Bread of Life for all time and for ever. Jesus said at John 6:41 I am the bread which came down from heaven. The man Jesus ended His ministry thirsty on the cross of Calvary. The God Jesus is the Living Water of Life for all time and for ever. Revelation 7:17 says For the Lamb (Jesus) which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

The man Jesus was often weary. The God Jesus is our rest for ever. The man Jesus tasted death for every man. The God Jesus is our eternal life. The man Jesus paid tribute to Caesar, His only pocketbook was the mouth of a fish. The God Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The man Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver. The God Jesus redeemed and purchased saved sinners with His own precious blood that He shed at the cross of Calvary. The man Jesus was made sin when He took the guilty culprits place on the cross of Calvary. The God Jesus is separate from sin, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens (Hebrews 7:26).

The man Jesus hung in darkness on the cross of Calvary during that dread day when midnight took up its reign on noonday's throne. The God Jesus is the Light of the world for ever. Jesus said at John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. The man Jesus had no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him (Isaiah 53:2). The God Jesus is the chiefest among ten thousand and altogether lovely.

After reading about how Jesus is a man and God, realize that the Lord Jesus did not have to come to the earth and die on a cross. The Lord Jesus could have let all sinners die and go to hell. But Jesus loved lost sinners and was willing to pay his blood (the redemption price) after dying on the cross to save anyone from this troubled world. 1 Peter 1:18 says Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed (bought) with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you. Right now accept Jesus' free gift of salvation. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Look at the picture above and daily remember Jesus who died for you and rose again. Paul said at 2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel. Don't let the troubles of this world stop you from remembering Jesus. Get up early each day and take time to remember Jesus before a busy day takes up your time going to work, taking care of your family, paying bills, mortgages, and rent. Proverbs 8:17 promises I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Remember Jesus every day and don't let the cares and troubles of this life stop you from reading the Word of God daily and praising our Lord Jesus. If you have to work a job for most of the day, take time for Jesus early in the morning. Wake up an hour earlier to pray, read your bible, and worship our Lord Jesus. Note the warning stated by Jesus at Luke 21:34 that says And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (hangover and headache after drinking alcohol), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Hebrews 2:1 says Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

So what if we have telescopes that view landscapes millions of miles away, when we lose sight of Jesus. Sir Isaac Newton said "I can take my telescope and look millions and millions of miles into space, but I can lay it aside and go into my room, shut the door, get down on my knees in earnest prayer and see more of heaven and get closer to God than I can by all the telescopes and material agencies on earth." So what if we have computers, cellphones, tiktok, and facebook that allow our ears to hear whispers from all corners of this universe, when we have dull and disobedient ears to the voice of Him (Jesus) who will sound forth the trumpet during the rapture saying to His saved sheep Come up hither.

So what if we construct big buildings, when we forget that other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. So what if we have satellites that send computer email writings and cellphone texts around this world, when we are inefficient and blundering in writing the literature of godliness upon the fleshy tables of our human heart by daily memorizing and meditating on the Word of God. 2 Corinthians 3:2 says Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

So what if we listen to grand concerts of our favorite musicians in huge stadiums, when we miss life's central melody (Jesus) and become victims of dawdling ditties (waste time listening to meaningless worldly songs). So what if we create jets, airplanes, spaceships, and rockets that fly swifter and mount higher than eagles, when we are slow in service to God and fail to mount up with wings as eagles.

Remember Jesus is greater than any person or man made invention. Compared to any person on this earth, Jesus shines like the sun among lanterns; Jesus towers like a mountain over many valleys. Solomon was correct when he said at Song of Solomon 5:10 My beloved (Jesus) is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. Line up ten thousand stars; Jesus is the brightest and the bright and morning star. Line up ten thousand roses; Jesus is the loveliest and the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys. Line up ten thousand kings; Jesus is the greatest and the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Pictured above remember the voice of Jesus while you ignore the troubling voices of this fading world. Jesus' voice says to us and the woman who committed adultery, Go and sin no more. Jesus' voice says to women and the daughter of Jairus Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. Jesus' voice says to us and Lazarus Come forth.

Jesus' voice says to us and Nicodemus Ye must be born again. Jesus' voice says to us and the storms around us Peace, be still. Jesus' voice says to us and the dying thief To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Jesus' voice says to all saints everywhere Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ because I am with you alway, even to the end of the world. Amen.

For our final thought we see that Jesus is with us alway, even unto the end of the world. The peace of Jesus that passeth all understanding is with us alway, even unto the end of the world. Jesus is with us to the very last second of the very last minute of the very last hour of the very last day of all the years. Jesus is with us to the very last meter of the very last inch of the very last yard of the very last mile of life's way.

Jesus is always with us to comfort us forevermore. Psalm 139:7 says Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

RG Lee correctly said If we journey to poles undiscovered, Jesus is with us. If we journey over unchartered oceans, Jesus is with us. If we plod through trackless forests and impenetrable jungles, Jesus is with us. If we trudge across pathless plains and endless snows, Jesus is with us. If years pass by swiftly and beyond recall, Jesus is yet with us. Centuries go by and Jesus remains with us. Psalm 90:4 says For a thousand years in thy sight (Lord Jesus) are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

Be encouraged because the Lord Jesus will change your bleak limitations to immeasurable expanses of peace and comfort. When Jesus is King of this earth for 1000 years, Jesus will transform dry, infertile, flowerless, and treeless deserts into blossoming gardens around streams wherein fragrant flowers and ripened fruits flourish throughout all seasons and in all weathers.

Isaiah 35:1 says The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God. Isaiah 51:3 says For the Lord shall comfort Zion: He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Isaiah 32:15 says Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. The watermelons, apples, and strawberries will grow so large that they will be like a forest.

With Jesus our inner brooks will expand into flowing rivers that widen into spiritual seas of living water. Jesus promised this at John 4:14 saying But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Jesus also said at John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

A BLESSED POEM CALLED THE MAKER OF THE UNIVERSE
ABOUT HOW THE GOD JESUS BECAME THE MAN JESUS
AND DIED ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY

The Maker of the universe
As man, for man was made a curse
The claims of law which He had made
Unto the uttermost He paid

His holy fingers formed the bough
where grew the thorns that crowned His brow
The nails that pierced His hands were mined
in secret places He designed

He made the forests from whence there sprung
the tree on which His body hung
He died upon a cross of wood
Yet made the hill on which it stood

The sky which darkened o'er His head
By Him above the earth was spread
The sun which hid from Him its face
By His decree was poised in space

The spear that spilt His precious blood
was created in the fires of God
The grave in which His form was laid
was hewn in rocks His hands had made

The throne on which He now appears
Was His from everlasting years
But a new glory crowns His brow
And every knee to Him shall bow

WRITTEN BY FANNY CROSBY

Jesus keep me near the cross
There a precious fountain
Free to all a healing stream
Flows from Calvary's mountain

In the cross, In the cross
Be my glory ever
Till my ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the river

Near the cross, a trembling soul
Love and mercy found me
There the Bright and Morning Star
shed His beams around me

Near the cross, I'll watch and wait
Hoping, trusting ever
Till I reach the golden strand (seashore)
Just beyond the river

Near the cross, O Lamb of God
Bring its scenes before me
Help me walk from day to day
with its shadow o'er me
