Why Christians Need To Deny Sin

     Today let's learn how to stay clean after we get saved. If we look at the pictures above we learn that when anyone gets saved by faith without works, God stops imputing or remembering their sins by cleansing their sins with the blood of Jesus Christ. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     After salvation, 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light (Jesus), as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. In other words when anyone gets saved, God no longer imputes or keeps a record or account of their sins in heaven. Romans 4:8 says Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. And 2 Corinthians 5:19 says To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 

     How comforting to know that after salvation by faith in Jesus alone with no works, the blood of Jesus washes away all our sins past, present, and future. Rejoice and say Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And say Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He (the Lord Jesus) hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 

     In other words Jesus doesn't have to be crucified over and over again to sanctify and cleanse us all from sin. This is why Jesus said at the cross It is finished. Jesus made the payment of His blood for our redemption and salvation from our sins once at the cross of Calvary. It requires no work from us. Just believe what Jesus has already done at the cross of Calvary to be saved and don't add your own works. It's enough without our works what Jesus did at the cross to obtain salvation. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  

     But christians can sin again after salvation, and this is why christians need to daily confess their sins and stay clean. The next verse at 1 John 1:8 says that after salvation when the blood of Jesus cleanseth us from all sin, christians can sin again because if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth (Jesus) is not in us. And then 1 John 1:10 says that we can sin again after salvation. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him (Jesus) a liar, and His word is not in us.

     After salvation, a person's soul and spirit are redeemed and no longer sin. 1 John 5:18 says We know that whatsoever is born of God sinneth not (the soul and spirit no longer sin); but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. But after salvation, a person's body (flesh) can keep sinning (lost as a golf ball in high weeds) and will not be redeemed until the rapture when Jesus appears in the air. Romans 8:23 says that christians groan within themselves, waiting (until the rapture) for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of their bodies. After the rapture christians will receive glorified bodies that will no longer sin. 

     Philippians 3:20 says For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body (during the rapture when the Lord Jesus appears to His saved saints in the air), that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

     The apostle Paul explained that the flesh that can sin wars against the soul and spirit of christians. Even Paul the greatest christian that lived admitted that his body could sin. Paul said at Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. Paul went on to say at Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. 

     Since christians can sin again after salvation, christians should stay clean and daily try to stop sinning to avoid trouble, problems, and death. Ephesians 4:27 says Neither give place to the devil. Romans 6:1 says What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? After salvation by faith in Jesus, a christian can not lose his or her salvation but can commit a sin unto death. 

     The sin unto death that saved christians can commit is listed at 1 Corinthians 5:5 where a saved christian sinned and died because he had sex with his father's wife. This christian was delivered unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Notice that this christian was saved with eternal life, but experienced a premature death because of his sin.

     When a christian gets saved, the Word of God who is Jesus spiritually circumcises and separates their soul and spirit from their flesh. Christians should daily study the KJV Word of God that spiritually circumcises their flesh from their soul and spirit. It's good to read and memorize the bible daily because it helps us stay clean by revealing sins that need to be washed and stopped. The bible teaches us how to live pure, holy, and sanctified lives for Jesus. 

     The only way we can be aware of our sins is to have the Word of God correct and reveal sin to our flesh. Hebrews 4:12 says For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (the Word of God separates by spiritual circumcision your soul and spirit from your flesh-joints and marrow, to recognize sins that must be stopped), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Colossians 2:11 describes this spiritual circumcision saying In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.

Why Jesus Told Peter He Had To Wash His Feet

     Pictured above Jesus explained to Peter that his soul and spirit was cleansed by the blood of Jesus of all his sins, but he had to wash his feet to stop his flesh from sinning after salvation while walking through this world. John 13:6 says Then cometh He (Jesus) to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Tremble at these words and notice that the Lord Jesus said if anyone is not washed by faith in Jesus alone without good works and religion they can not be saved. Only the Lord Jesus can save anyone.

     Now notice Peter's radical change of mind at John 13:9 where Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Now Peter wants his feet along with his hands and head washed by Jesus. Notice Jesus' response at John 13:10: He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. In other words Jesus told Peter that he was cleansed of all his sins, but after salvation, Peter could sin again in his flesh and needed to stay clean and wash his feet daily to avoid trouble from the devil.

     Therefore like Peter, when christians walk through this world, they need to daily wash their feet and deny sin by staying clean. When anyone practices or commits sins, even christians, they block God from blessing them. This is why we need to stay clean and avoid sinning daily. Psalm 66:18 says If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. God will not hear the prayers of people, even saved people, that practice sin and fail to stay clean by confessing their sins daily. And notice that Romans 8:13 says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

     Brother Bob like the prophet Isaiah states to all the nations Isaiah 58:1 and says Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Friends, it's important to realize that we all need Jesus daily and must know that we are lost helpless sheep and sinners having no direction without Jesus. Jesus said at John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. I pray in Jesus name all my friends everywhere can say Lord Jesus wash me continuously for I admit that I am a sinner that daily needs to be washed by you. After you daily do this, thank and praise Jesus for dying for you on the cross and giving you life and peace daily. Say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and with Jesus' stripes I am healed (Galatians 2:20 and Isaiah 53:5).

     Take time to meditate on all the following scriptures that prove that we are sinners that must be washed daily by Jesus. Job stated at Job 9:30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean; Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me. King David stated at Psalm 53:2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:23 tells us For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Proverbs 30:12 says There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

     The prophets also testified that we are sinners that must be washed daily by Jesus. The prophet Isaiah said at Isaiah 1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it. Isaiah 64:6 says But, we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. The prophet Jeremiah said at Jeremiah 2:22 For though thou wash thee with nitre (soap), and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God. Jeremiah 13:23 says Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. I pray in Jesus name that when you read these scriptures you realize that we are all sinners that daily need Jesus to live and survive in this world. God has provided an answer to deliver us from sin in one word Jesus.

     Look at the picture above and tell the Lord Jesus the words of Psalm 119:176. Say I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments. Say with King David Lord Jesus seek me; I'm a lost sinner that has gone astray. And the good news is that when you say this Jesus will seek for you and save you like the picture above where Jesus sought and saved the lost sheep. Luke 19:10 says For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

     Take time to meditate on the following scriptures that prove that we are all lost sinful sheep gone astray needing Jesus to seek and save us all daily. Isaiah 53:6 says All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 1 Peter 2:25 says For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. Psalm 58:3 tells us The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. But friend after you read the above verses, rejoice when you read the words of Jesus at Luke 5:32 that says I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Brother Bob prays in Jesus name, that all my friends everywhere will do the promise of John 10:4 that says And when He putteth forth his own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.

How God Granted The Prayer Of Jabez 

After His Mother Cursed And Called His Name Sorrow

     Meditate on Galatians 3:13 that says Christ hath redeemed us (where Jesus' blood bought us out of sin and delivered and set us free) from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. Romans 10:4 says For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Therefore any curse in the old or new testament does not apply to you after you get saved and you can not lose your salvation.

     Why then is the curse of the law placed in the bible? There is a reason for this stated at Galatians 3:24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. The letter made us realize that we were sinners needing faith in Jesus to set us free. After we come to Jesus by faith we can now rejoice that we are free and no longer under the schoolmaster law. We need to pray for sinners that reject Jesus because without Jesus these sinners are under the curse of the law. This is why it is so important to be saved and set free from the curse of the law. John 8:36 tells us If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

     Note that when you make Jesus Lord of your life, you will be free from all generational curses. Take time to study about Jabez who was cursed by his mother when she named him sorrow. Remember even though Jabez's mother cursed her son Jabez and called him sorrow and sorry, Jesus blessed Jabez and honoured and answered the prayer of Jabez. If people of this world around you curse you for serving Jesus, like Jabez, Jesus will bless you and grant your prayer requests. 

     Take time to meditate on the prayer of Jabez at 1 Chronicles 4:9 that the Lord Jesus granted. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me. And God granted him that which he requested. Brother Bob prays in Jesus name all my friends everywhere that read this will rejoice that they are blessed with Jesus and free from any curse from their families or the world.

     Brother Bob did a study the other day about the four listed prophetesses of the bible. Even though the old testament prophetesses were named with bad names, Jesus blessed these three prophetesses. The three prophetesses of the old testament were Miriam (rebellion), Deborah (bee), and Huldah (weasel), and the one prophetess of the new testament with a good name was Anna (grace). Also note that Ahab called Elijah a troubler of Israel but Jesus blessed Elijah and allowed Elijah to get caught up alive to glory in the presence of the Lord Jesus on a chariot of fire.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,

Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel,

That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again
