Revelations Revealed By Jesus

1 Kings 22 speaks about Micaiah, Ahab, Jehoshaphat, and Zedekiah.

Notice the picture above of Micaiah, Ahab, Jehoshaphat and Zedekiah in the front with a fist ready to strike Micaiah. Also notice the 400 false prophets and the crowd on the tops of buildings all coming against one man Micaiah. Ahab forced Jehoshaphat to bring Micaiah before a crowd of 400 false prophets to be condemned to prison. Micaiah spoke the word of the Lord to Ahab and told him not to fight in war but to be at peace and return home and love his enemies. Ahab was enraged at Micaiah's words of peace and condemned Micaiah to prison for life with Jehoshaphat's approval.

First, let me say that throughout all the old testament bible stories we can see prophecies about the Lord Jesus. This is because the Word of God is Jesus. John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God. Revelation 19:13 tells us that the Word of God is Jesus. And He (Jesus) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God. The picture above of Micaiah, Ahab, and Jehoshaphat reminds us about the Lord Jesus who was before Pilate and the Pharisees, Saducees, and Jews at a trial where all the crowd is saying crucify Him.

Micaiah represents the Lord Jesus because Micaiah's name in Hebrew is Who Is Like God. It's also interesting to note that Micaiah's father Imlah's name means Whom God Will Fill Up signifying the Holy Ghost as the Father of Micaiah because Jesus is Filled with the Holy Ghost. Jehoshaphat represents Pilate because Jehoshaphat's name in Hebrew is Jehovah Has Judged. Jehoshaphat acted like Pilate and brought Micaiah before the false prophets and crowd to be judged and like Pilate judged Micaiah and washed his hands of Micaiah's innocent blood. Jehoshaphat knew it was wrong to judge and sentence Micaiah to prison but Jehoshaphat still agreed with Ahab and the false prophets and allowed the crowd to condemn Micaiah to prison.

Ahab represents the Pharisees, Saducees, and Jews because the name Ahab means Father's brother who agreed with the Jews and Chief Priests to condemn Micaiah to prison like the Pharisees, Saducees, and Jews who condemned the Lord Jesus saying crucify him. It's interesting to note that Ahab's father who is Omri is defined as Pupil of Jehovah. Omri and Ahab were pupils from a family of students and teachers of the law or Pharisees that condemned Micaiah to prison.

The man in the picture above with the clenched fist who hit Micaiah was Zedekiah whose name in Hebrew means Jehovah Is Righteous and Zedekiah was a self righteous Pharisee that hit Micaiah. 1 Kings 22:24 says But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee? This reminds me of Jesus at Luke 22:63 that says And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him. And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee? Note that Zedekiah's father's name Chenaanah means trader and a worldly enemy of God. James 4:4 says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Micaiah did not come out of prison like Jesus who was not freed from dying on the cross. Micaiah like Jesus stood up to the crowds and spoke the truth and was willing to lay down his life for the truth. We should all be like Micaiah and Jesus and speak the truth to powerful political leaders and crowds of nonbelievers who daily mock God. When the record of history is preserved it's amazing that people remember and want to read about Micaiah or Jesus instead of powerful political tyrants like Ahab, Herod, or Caesar. Like Brother Bob you might be a nobody on this earth but when history is recorded people will remember Brother Bob and all the saints that have a testimony for Jesus who have denied this world and its fading riches.

I recommend a website called blueletterbible where the Hebrew definitions of all the names in 1 Kings 22 are listed. When you go into blueletterbible, after you do a search for any word in the bible, above the bible verses, left click the strong's tab and then left click the numbers by each word to get the Hebrew and Greek meanings of each word of the bible. Blueletterbible is a blessed website and it's incredible how a number is by every word of the bible that you can click to study the Word of God.

Notice the picture above and rejoice about the cluster of pure grapes called Eshcol that all the saved saints will enjoy in the promised land called the kingdom of God. Numbers 13:23 speaks about the word Eshcol and says And they (the spies) came unto the brook of Eshcol (called a cluster of grapes), and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff: and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. The Eshcol cluster of grapes represent the abundant blessings in the promised land called the kingdom of God.

You might all say why does God stress that blessings come from Eshcol grapes. Jesus used my friend Tiffany today to tell me that the grapes in the kingdom of God after they are squeezed represent the pure wine of unspeakable joy that christians will forever receive with the Lord Jesus. This is a pure new wine of everlasting joy christians will receive with the Lord Jesus. As a former alcoholic, thank you Jesus that your new wine is pure squeezed grapes that do not ferment. No hangovers from the new wine of Jesus. The happiness and joy from the new Eshcol wine of Jesus will remain forevermore.

The Eshcol Grapes Create Pure Blessed Wine In The Kingdom Of God
Avoid Fermented Wine From Grapes That Cause Sin On This Earth

The following scriptures warn us to avoid getting drunk from wine, beer, or any liquor. Proverbs 20:1 says Wine is a mocker; strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. In other words avoid getting drunk with wine or strong drink because it causes Jesus who is wisdom (noted at 1 Corinthians 1:30) to leave you. Proverbs 23:29 says Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red (fermented), when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.

When you walk through the grocery store don't look at the wine and beer bottles. Don't attend a sporting event where they pass beer down the aisle to spectators. Habakkuk 2:15 says Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Note that 1 Timothy 5:23 says Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. According to this scripture, it's alright to drink just a little wine to heal sickness. But don't sin and drink excess (much) wine to get drunk when you are not sick. Ephesians 5:18 says And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess (called profligacy with reckless behavior); but be filled with the Spirit. Proverbs 23:21 warns us For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

The reason for the picture above of Mount Robson in British Columbia that Brother Bob climbed is to let everyone realize that all the mountains and hills like Mount Robson will depart and be removed but the peace of the Lord Jesus and the Word of God will last forever. The Lord Jesus said at Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee; neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Mountains may depart and hills be removed
But the Lord Jesus always gives us peace
Note the following scriptures about Jesus' peace
That is always with christians

Romans 5:1 says Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:16 says Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means, The Lord be with you all.

2 Corinthians 1:3 says Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. Notice the above verse says Jesus comforts us in all (not some) of our tribulations. Notice also the above verse does not say Jesus hath, or will, or can comfort us if He pleases. Saints reading this Jesus will comfort you all right now in all your tribulations in Jesus name.

Luke 2:25-38 speaks about Simeon And Anna

Notice the picture above of Simeon being allowed to see Jesus before he departed from this earth. Also notice Anna who is also looking at the baby Jesus through a door in a hallway. Anna was blessed by her perseverance in prayer and fasting night and day and was rewarded with the blessing of seeing the baby Jesus along with Simeon. We can all rejoice and think about how blessed it was for Simeon to hold God (Jesus) in his arms as a baby. What a glorious blessing Simeon and Anna experienced.

The Lord Jesus came to this earth with very poor parents. Notice in the picture above that Mary is holding a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons to offer a sacrifice for Jesus because Mary was so poor and could not afford a lamb. The reason poor Mary had to sacrifice two young pigeons is stated at Leviticus 12:8 and says And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles (turtledoves), or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty, might be rich.

Simeon waited to see the consolation of Israel who is the Lord Jesus (Our Peace and Comfort). Simeon got to hold the Lord Jesus and receive the everlasting peace of the Lord Jesus.  Luke 2:25 and says And behold there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

That Jesus Died On The Cross For You, Was Buried, And Rose Again
Like Simeon And Anna Receive Everlasting Peace With Jesus
Scriptures About The Peace Saved Saints Receive With The Lord Jesus.

The Lord Jesus said at Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 35:3 says Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm (strengthen) the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you.

Jesus said at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28 tells us to be meek and lowly in heart to receive rest. Meek means to not argue or be angry. One of Brother Bob's favorite scriptures is 2 Timothy 2:24 that says And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. Ephesians 4:31 says Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
