Quotes Of Wisdom From The Lord Jesus Who Is Solomon's Wisdom

Notice the pictures above of a little boy, a stone, and a vast amount of sand. Proverbs 27:3 says A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. When we serve Jesus, the world will be an enemy and sometimes people around us might persecute us and try to make us frustrated and angry. But rejoice when this happens because 1 Peter 4:14 says If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.

Don't be angry because anger is a wile and trick of the devil. The devil makes people think that their anger is harming their enemy, but this is a lie because anger is harming and weakening the angry person. Jesus said at Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. Unsaved heathen in the world only love people that are friendly to them. But christians need to let the world see that we are lights shining in a dark world who love our enemies and not just our friends. Jesus said at Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

A fool's wrath and anger is like a heavy weight and burden that could harm someone. But Jesus promised us that He would give christians the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. The Hebrew definition for the garment of praise is a mantle or strength. I claim in Jesus name that anyone who reads this will receive strength and the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3 says To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.

It's not the will of God for people to be angry. From experience, to add years to your life, if someone mistreats or mocks you because you believe in Jesus, ask Jesus to bless your enemy. Remember Brother Bob's motto for success. Avoid angry people, forgive forever, and always love your enemies. Job prayed for his former enemies who became his friends and received a doublefold blessing.  Job 42:10 says And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Note the following scriptures that tell us not to be angry. Ecclesiastes 7:9 says Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. James 1:20 says For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Ephesians 4:26 says Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Brother Bob says if you are going to bed, don't lay your head on the pillow if you are angry. Get up and say forgive me Jesus and bless my enemy and don't let the sun go down upon your wrath.

1 Corinthians 1:30 says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. Therefore if Jesus is righteousness and the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God, when someone gets angry, that person turns away from the blessings of Jesus.

Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Ephesians 4:26 says we can get angry only if we sin not. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Since we all are sinners needing to be washed by the blood of Jesus we should not be angry. Only the Lord Jesus who is perfect and has no sin can be the Judge and get angry. Hebrews 4:15 says For we have not an high priest (Jesus), which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

When you look to Jesus Christ crucified daily with your heart who is wisdom, you receive the blessings of wisdom listed in Proverbs 3:13. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom (Jesus), and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand: and at her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.  In other words Jesus and wisdom is better than silver, gold, rubies, anything you can desire, gives us length of days, riches and honour, pleasantness, and paths of peace.

Here's some more scriptures that tell us not to be angry. Ephesians 4:31 says Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Titus 3:2 says To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

Proverbs 16:32 says He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. 2 Timothy 2:24 says And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.

A puritan writer in the 1600s wrote How foolish is the bee that loseth her life and her sting together. She puts another to a little pain, but how dearly doth she pay for it. Ecclesiastes 7:21 says Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others. If you hear someone speak evil about you, be merciful and pray for your enemy because we all have sinned and spoken evil of others and Jesus has forgiven us all and washed us clean with His precious blood. Leviticus 19:18 says Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord. Hebrews 12:15 says Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

Notice the picture above of Judas throwing down the thirty pieces of silver that he received for betraying Jesus. For only a measly thirty pieces of silver Judas betrayed the Lord Jesus. A puritan writer wrote in the 1600s What a dreadful trade Judas made when he sold the incomparable Saviour Jesus for a little corruptible silver. All Judas could do with the thirty pieces of silver was throw it away and never use it. Take heed to the warning stated at Ecclesiastes 5:10 that says He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?

Note the following scriptures about not being greedy for money. Ezekiel 7:19 says They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity. 1 Timothy 6:17 says Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy .Proverbs 15:27 says He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. Mark 8:36 says For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Don't be like the foolish man who built great barns with much fruit and goods and took his ease and said he could eat, drink, and be merry. Luke 12:16 says And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. Notice God's reply at Luke 12:20 that says But God said unto him Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Jesus gives us all a warning at Luke 12:15 that says And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Job 27:8 says For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul? Proverbs 29:6 says In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

Note some more scriptures about not being greedy for money. Proverbs 28:22 says He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. Proverbs 20:21 says An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed. Siblings that fight over an inheritance and finances and cheat their brothers and sisters should pray and change their ways and bless their family with the decedent's possessions and finances and be fair and evenly distribute the inheritance. Proverbs 10:2 says Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

How busy are sinners in this world like bees flying to this and that field to carry a little more honey to their hives, though after all their labour, within a few days they must be consumed with flames and leave it to someone else. And have not I more cause to build treasure in heaven and bless the poor to obtain eternal durable riches in the kingdom of God for ever. Mark 10:21 says Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Remember that when you bless the poor, you bless the Lord Jesus.

Notice the picture above of a 99 cent sale tag telling us to be fair when we sell items. Proverbs 11:1 says A false balance (riches gained by fraud) is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. Paul told us to be honest and fair when we do business with our friends and associates. Acts 24:16 says And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

The prophet Amos warned sellers not to be dishonest and sell small ephahs or quantities of goods for a great shekel price or high dollar value. Amos 8:5 says Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? Because the people during the days of the prophet Amos sold small portions of food for a high price, the result was Amos 8:10 that says And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

A puritan writer in the 1600s wrote Thou sayest, caveat emptor, let the buyer beware, but the Lord Jesus sayeth, caveat venditor, let the seller be careful that he keep a good conscience and not sell defective goods full of flaws. Leviticus 19:35 says Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard (measurement), in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah (a measure of grain), and a just hin (a measure of liquids) shall ye have: I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. 1 Corinthians 10:24 says Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. Psalm 106:3 says Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Praise Jesus At All Times

Notice the pictures above of a palace and a man building a wall. Let's learn about a man named Nehemiah who was willing to leave the palace where he was a cupbearer for King Artaxerxes and become a lowly persecuted labourer that built a wall for Jerusalem and the Jews. This reminds me of Moses who left the prospect of being Pharaoh in Egypt and suffered affliction with his people to lift up the name of Jesus.

Hebrews 11:24 says By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharoah's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible.

Esther also was willing to die for the Lord Jesus to save her people Israel and go before the king at an improper time according to the law. Notice Esther's blessed words at Esther 4:16 that says Go, gather together all the Jews that are present to Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Although Esther was safe in a palace, she was willing to sacrifice her life to save her Jewish people from Haman's law to kill all the Jews. All these stories remind me of Matthew 16:25 where Jesus said For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. If Jesus tells you to go help a poor widow, orphan, prisoner, or anyone in need, be willing to leave everything to help that poor person and you will lift up the name of Jesus like Nehemiah and Esther. Jesus said at Matthew 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Let's be like Nehemiah and no matter how rich we are in life always remember the poor and take time to remember Jesus. Nehemiah, though he enjoyed much prosperity being in great favour and high honour being the cupbearer for King Artaxerxes, yet suffered with Jerusalem's sufferings, and was troubled with Jerusalem's troubles. Oh how holy was Nehemiah who willingly left a rich pleasant king's court for a ragged and tottered city and forsook the company of illustrious lords for twelve years to toil and moil like a day labourer.

When Nehemiah delivered wine to King Artaxerxes, he thought of the water that the poor subjects at Jerusalem drank. And though his own particular condition called him to be merry, yet the sepulchres of his fathers caused him to mourn. While Nehemiah built the wall, he was persecuted by Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, but Nehemiah rejoiced in the persecution and finished building the wall.

The story of the two pictures above is at Nehemiah 2:1. And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, And said unto the king. Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

Job also praised the Lord Jesus when he was both rich and poor. Job remembered Jesus and praised the Lord daily when he had family, wealth, and many material possessions. Job also praised Jesus when he lost everything and his wife told him to curse God and die. This is stated at Job 2:9 that says Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Notice the pictures above of a house and a man sitting in an empty wilderness with nothing around him. This reminds us of David and Ziklag. The house represents what David owned before it was burnt to nothing by the Amalekites. The man sitting in the empty wilderness reminds us of David returning to Ziklag and finding nothing left of his possessions. But David kept rejoicing and encouraged himself in the Lord after he lost his house and wives when the Amalekites burned all his possessions and took away his family. David also continued to praise the Lord Jesus after his own depressed soldiers spake of stoning him blaming David for the loss of all their possessions.

1 Samuel 30:6 says And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. Let's all continue to praise the Lord Jesus at all times like David and encourage ourselves in the Lord no matter what goes on around us. Every day tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and praise the Lord Jesus for dying on the cross of Calvary for you and destroying all your problems past, present, and future (Hebrews 2:14 and Luke 9:23).

The book of Lamentations tells us to place our hope in the Lord Jesus instead of family, friends, money, or any material possessions. Lamentations 3:24 says The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. Lamentations 3:26 says It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. Isaiah also told us to place our hope in the Lord Jesus at Isaiah 25:9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Notice the blessed picture above about how an angel saved Hagar and Ishmael's lives and provided a well of water for them to survive. If you feel like no one is around to help you, the Lord Jesus will send angels to encourage you and provide for all your needs. Hebrews 13:6 says So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. When family, church members, and everyone leaves you, the Lord Jesus loves you and will send angels to bless and keep you alive in peace. Even though Hagar had no more water in her bottle, the Lord Jesus loved her and provided a well for Hagar and Ishmael.

The story about Hagar and Ishmael is at Genesis 21:15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Let's continue our discussion about praising the Lord Jesus at all times. Don't let prosperity cause you to forget about Jesus. Even when you are rich and own many material possessions please help the poor and remember Jesus. Solomon gave us all a warning about this at Proverbs 1:32 that says For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Noah, who had seen the whole world drowned in water, is himself no sooner delivered and becomes drunken with wine. After Lot is delivered from Sodom, he commits incest with his own daughters. Solomon, the wisest king that ever the world had, was notorious for apostasy, worshipping his heathen thousand wives' idols and false gods.

Though thy mercies be like the sail and wind to further the vessel of my soul in its heavenly voyage, yet, except thy Spirit O Lord Jesus steer, I will be driven off course. Lord Jesus keep us all humble in our highest estate, knowing that thy mere mercy and not our merit is the reason for all of our comforts.

Let's be like Obadiah who even though he was a stately governor for Ahab, he feared God greatly and considered the poor when he hid the prophets that Jezebel wanted to kill in a cave and fed them with bread and water. 1 Kings 18:3 says And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly: For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water. Also let's remember how Stephen praised the Lord Jesus through all his troubles. Under a shower of stones about Stephen's ears, Stephen continued to praise Jesus when his eyes beheld one of the greatest sights ever seen by a mortal man. Stephen's testimony is at Acts 7:56. And (Stephen) said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man (Jesus) standing on the right hand of God.

Notice the picture above and praise the Lord Jesus. The picture above represents the monument and stone that Samuel built to glorify the Lord Jesus. Samuel called the stone Ebenezer (Hitherto hath the Lord helped us). So many monuments are built before buildings to remember people or great men. Brother Bob has posted this message about Ebenezer to remember the Lord Jesus and tell everyone reading this that the Lord Jesus hath helped us. Glory to the name of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord (Jesus).

The scripture that speaks about Samuel's stone called Ebenezer is at 1 Samuel 7:12 that says Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us. Like Ezra, praise the Lord Jesus for His mercy of sparing us from destruction and granting us all eternal life and peace forevermore. Ezra 9:13 says And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this.

Like Nehemiah, Esther, David, Job, and Obadiah
Get Saved, Repent, Decide To Stop Sinning,
Confess That Jesus Is God, And Believe The Gospel
That Jesus Died On The Cross For You, Was Buried, And Rose Again

Remember The Poor Humble Servant

Notice the picture above of needy orphans and remember the poor and needy people all around you. We all are one family. If we remember the poor needy children and widows in their affliction, we remember the Lord Jesus. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this. To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Proverbs 22:2 says The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all. The number one thing that Jesus hates in Proverbs 6:17 is a proud look. Jesus tells us to not despise others and mock the poor. When someone gets saved with Jesus, that person becomes a new creation and blesses all people with no prejudice. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Proverbs 17:5 says Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished. James 2:5 says Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love Him? I remember when Brother Bob traveled to Tucson, Arizona and went to a humble little Mexican church. The people in the little Mexican church were so poor but the Lord Jesus was in that church.

Jesus calls his church the congregation of the poor. Psalm 74:19 says O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove (called God's beloved church) unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. Matthew 5:3 says Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said if we give to the poor, we will have treasure in heaven. Mark 10:21 says Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. For 43 years Brother Bob has given away most of his money to the poor and the Lord Jesus has greatly blessed him.

The apostle Paul gave us a warning that when anyone despises the poor, they despise the church. 1 Corinthians 11:22 says What? Have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

Paul defined the enemies of the preachers that preach Jesus Christ crucified. Philippians 3:18 says For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. Lord Jesus help us to not be selfish and fill our own bellies, mind only earthly things, and forget the poor, helpless children and widows in their affliction. Proverbs 11:30 says The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Let's witness the Lord Jesus everywhere and not waste our money on big empty buildings and mansions that will burn away. Don't be a selfish hypocrite that perishes with no treasure in heaven. Job 15:34 says For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

1 John 3:17 says But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? In other words if a person is a millionaire and overlooks poor needy orphans and widows, they have no love of God and will perish in torment for ever in the lake of fire unless they get saved with the Lord Jesus. Job 27:8 says For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

Notice the picture above of a little child who is asking for someone to feed him. This little child like the many people we see everywhere that are hungry and poor need our assistance. Remember that when we see others in need, everyone is part of one big family in Jesus. Be like the Lord Jesus who loved everyone and offered salvation to whosoever would take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17 says And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Jesus blessed the Roman centurion and healed his servant. Jesus blessed the Samaritan woman even though his culture was prejudice and said Jews could not talk to Samaritans. Jesus ate and personally talked with the chief of the publican sinners named Zacchaeus.

Colossians 3:11 says Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. This verse shows us that the Lord Jesus sees no distinctions among people and is not prejudice. Job was not prejudice and tells employers not to mistreat their employees. Job 31:13 says If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me; What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when He visiteth, what shall I answer Him? Did not He that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

Everyone is equal and sinners that need the Lord Jesus to save them. In the world there are distinctions (wealthy, middle class, and poor people). Many people say that they are better than others because of their educational background. But no one is better than his neighbor. We are all equal as sinners at the foot of the cross of Calvary needing salvation from the Lord Jesus. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. The Lord Jesus is our only hope. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Then daily remember with your heart by faith Jesus Christ crucified and daily thank Jesus for crucifying and destroying all your fears, worries, and problems. Every day tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and with Jesus' stripes I am healed (Galatians 2:20 and Isaiah 53:5).

Jeremiah lamented when the precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, were esteemed by the world as earthen pitchers. Saved saints are precious sons of Zion that the world esteems as earthen pitchers instead of fine gold. Lamentations 4:2 says The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter. Luke 16:15 says And He said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. 1 Peter 4:14 says If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit  of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified. While the world reproaches and speaks evil about the Lord Jesus, saved saints worship and glorify the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:27 says But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence.

Notice another picture above of a little boy asking for food to survive. This reminds Brother Bob of the story when David gave bread, water, figs, and raisins to a starving Egyptian servant. Because of David's kindness to the Egyptian beggar, that very same Egyptian beggar helped David find the Amalekite camp and recover everything that the Amalekites stole from David at Ziklag. The poor person that you help might save your life some day. We all are one family and need each other.

The story about David helping the starving Egyptian servant is at 1 Samuel 30:11. And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights. And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick. We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.

And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company. And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah. And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

Notice the above picture of the man on the right who is my good friend David Berkowitz, the former Son of Sam, who gave his life to the Lord Jesus in 1987. Saint reading this there is hope for you. If Jesus can save David Berkowitz, a former serial killer in jail for life who murdered 6 women and burned many buildings, Jesus can save anyone. I write to David Berkowitz regularly and I have to say on the face of the earth, David Berkowitz is one of the most kindest and loving people I ever met. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. You can view David Berkowitz's website by left clicking this link http://www.ariseandshine.org/ and then left click David's journal and read some of David's writings. Watch David Berkowitz's videos of his testimony about how he found the Lord Jesus and got saved.

David Berkowitz reminds me of a modern day Apostle Paul who writes books and letters for Jesus from prison daily at Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Wallkill, NY. When I think of David Berkowitz, I think of Onesimus, and like Paul telling the master Philemon to receive the prisoner Onesimus as a brother in Jesus, I tell everyone that reads this bible study that Brother Bob says everyone receive David Berkowitz as a brother in the Lord Jesus and forgive David Berkowitz of all his sins.

The story about Onesimus is at Philemon 10 and says I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have bogotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me. Philemon 16 says Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account. James 5:20 says Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Everyone should have a forgiving spirit like Paul did for Onesimus and tell others that former sinners like David Berkowitz have changed and should be accepted in the beloved as our dear brother of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:6 says To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Obeying And Disobeying

Let's learn about the importance of obeying and respecting our parents and grandparents. But there is one time to disobey a family member. Disobey a family member that tells you to deny the Lord Jesus or the Word of God. Always show respect for your parents and grandparents, but let them know that the Lord Jesus comes first in your life. In other words call your parents and grandparents and tell them you love them, but remember that the Lord Jesus comes first above family.

Jesus said at Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. If you are reading this and you are so busy with your family and the cares of this fading world that you have taken no time for Jesus, I pray in Jesus name that you will get saved and make time for Jesus, read the Word of God, and fellowship with saved christians. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Deuteronomy 6:6 tells us about a reward that we will receive if we talk about Jesus and the Word of God daily with our family. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Deuteronomy 6:10 says And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildest not, And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

In the above picture the little girl is respecting her grandfather and this makes him happy. There are many scriptures in the bible that tell us to respect our parents and grandparents. Ephesians 6:1 says Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Notice that it says in the Lord. Therefore if your parent or grandparent tells you to do something that is not godly do not obey their ungodly requests.

My orthodox Jewish parents told me to deny the Lord Jesus. They told me it was either Jesus or them with their millions of dollars. To the glory of the Lord Jesus, Brother Bob disobeyed their wishes, chose to serve the Lord Jesus, and openly confessed that Jesus is God to the world. To this day I still respect my parents and honor them, but Jesus comes first in my life. Jesus has blessed me for forty two years and with no Jewish relatives for support, Jesus has supplied all my needs and blessed me to give to orphans, widows, and many poor people. Psalm 27:10 says When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

Here's some more scriptures about honoring parents from my friend Vince the bus driver. Every day when I ride home on the COTA bus in Columbus, Ohio Vince the bus driver and myself talk about Jesus when we ride down the I70 highway while about 50 people listen to the Word of God. Exodus 20:12 says Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 1 Timothy 5:1 says Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren. The Lord Jesus respected and honored His earthly parents Mary and Joseph. Luke 2:51 says And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but His mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Let's learn about some bible stories where children disobeyed their parents in order to serve the Lord Jesus. Jesus blessed these children who chose to serve the Lord Jesus instead of a family members ungodly requests. Notice the picture above of King Asa removing his mother Maachah from being queen because she had made an idol in a grove (unholy trees set up near an altar). Like Gideon who chose to serve God and remove his father's altar to Baal and the surrounding unholy grove trees, Asa also chose to serve God and remove his mother Maachah's idol and grove.

2 Chronicles 15:16 says And also concerning Maachah (whose name means oppression) the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. Because Asa honored the Lord Jesus more than his mother Maachah, the Lord Jesus blessed Asa with great peace in the land. 2 Chronicles 15:19 says And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

Notice the picture above of Jonathan disobeying his father Saul's wishes to kill his friend David. Saul became so furious with rage when Jonathan defended David that he cast a javelin at Jonathan to smite and kill his own son. 1 Samuel 20:27 says And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor today? And Jonathan answered Saul, David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem.

1 Samuel 20:30 says Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die. And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done? And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.

Jonathan disobeyed his father Saul's wishes to kill David and honored the Word of God and the Lord Jesus knowing it was wrong to kill David who was innocent and anointed of God. Because Jonathan showed kindness to David and helped David escape from Saul, after Jonathan died, Jonathan's descendant Mephibosheth was blessed by David and sat with King David at the royal banquet daily. Now my final example of a child that disobeyed his father was when Gideon disobeyed his father Joash and removed the altar of Baal and the grove that his father Joash made.

The story of Gideon disobeying his father Joash to serve the Lord Jesus is recorded at Judges 6:25 and says And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. Judges 6:30 says Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it. And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar. Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

The Lord Jesus blessed Gideon for disobeying his father and removing the altar of Baal and the grove. Joash protected Gideon and said let Baal plead for himself. Of course Baal did not plead for himself and Gideon's life was spared, and the Lord Jesus blessed Gideon to win many battles against the Midianites with just lamps, pitchers, and trumpets. Like Gideon, forty two years ago Brother Bob left everything, money, family, and all his Jewish relatives to serve the Lord Jesus and has been tremendously blessed with joy, peace, and strength that only Jesus and not this world can supply.

Notice the picture above of Daniel refusing to obey the law of the land to stop praying. Pray for your leaders, presidents, governors, and kings while you obey godly laws. Pay your taxes, don't steal, be honest toward all people, and don't speed when you drive a car. Obey the laws of the land. But be like Daniel in the picture above and do not obey a law of the land that tells you to deny the Lord Jesus or the Word of God.

Daniel refused to disobey God's command at 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. Daniel was so bold that he opened his windows toward Jerusalem and let everyone see him praying. Daniel was willing to lay down his life for the Lord Jesus even when he knew that if he kept praying, the law of the land was to throw him into the den of lions. Jesus honored Daniel for disobeying the king's law and delivered Daniel from the den of lions. You can read this story in Daniel 6 of your bibles. Note that the men that accused Daniel of praying were thrown into the den of lions and lost their lives. Psalm 105:15 says Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

Peter and John chose to serve the Lord Jesus instead of an ungodly law. The rulers told Peter and John that it was against the law to mention the name of Jesus. The rulers told Peter and John that if they kept talking about Jesus they would be put into prison. Acts 4:18 says And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Peter and John disobeyed the law of their government and kept preaching about Jesus. Jesus was so good to Peter and John that after they were thrown into prison for preaching about Jesus, an angel released them from prison and told them to keep witnessing Jesus everywhere. Peter, John, and the apostles rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for the name of Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:40 says And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

If you have suffered and been persecuted for serving Jesus like the apostles, rejoice and keep witnessing Jesus everywhere. The Lord Jesus will bless you with great joy, peace, and strength to overcome this troubled world. Jesus said at John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Heavenly Revelations

You all might say what is Brother Bob up to now with a picture above of a compass with only three directions east, west, and south. I guarantee that after you read this bible study the above picture will make you sing praises to the Lord Jesus. Open your bibles to Psalm 75:6 where the Word of God says For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. Now notice that Psalm 75:6 only mentions three directions east, west, and south but does not mention NORTH.

Let's learn why promotion does not come from the east, west, or south. If you look east or west on this earth to man there is no promotion. Of course if you look south to the devil there definitely is no promotion. The outlooks bad and the downlooks worse, but the uplook is looking pretty good. And if you have the right uplook, you'll have the right outlook and win lost souls to our Lord Jesus. Therefore Brother Bob says LOOK UP NORTH TO JESUS and you will definitely be promoted. If we all trust in Jesus daily, Ephesians 3:20 promises Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Philippians 4:13 promises I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Throughout history northern countries have always won battles in war. Promotion and victory always comes from the north. Babylon north of Egypt conquered Egypt. Assyria north of Babylon conquered Babylon. Greece and Alexander the Great north of Assyria conquered Assyria. Rome north of Greece conquered Greece. The Vandals, Goths, Visigoths, and Huns located in Germany north of Rome conquered Rome. After World War II, England and Russia allies with America north of Germany and Japan conquered Germany and Japan. The north beat the south in the American Civil War.  North Vietnam won the war against South Vietnam. North Korea did not lose the war against South Korea. But rejoice because the Lord Jesus who is north of every nation and people will conquer everything, win the final battle, and be King of this earth for 1000 glorious years during the millennium.

Here's some scriptures about looking north to Jesus for blessings. Psalm 24:7 says Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 121:1 says I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 48:1 says Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful for situation, (defined to the heights), the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides (defined to the coasts) of the NORTH, the city of the great King.

What is the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek letters pictured above? The old testament is written in Hebrew and the new testament is written in Greek. The first letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Alef and the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet is Tav. The first letter of the Greek alphabet is Alpha and the last letter of the Greek alphabet is Omega. Jesus said at Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (the Greek definition is Almighty God). Tell Muslims everywhere that at Revelation 1:8 Jesus Himself proclaimed that He is Almighty God.

Revelation 1:8 tells us that Jesus is our Alpha and Omega, our Alef and Tav, and our A to Z. In other words JESUS IS THE WHOLE PACKAGE AND EVERYTHING YOU NEED. JESUS IS THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING. Zechariah in the old testament referred to Jesus as Alef Tav. If you look at the Hebrew letters to the scripture Zechariah 12:10 you will find that Jesus is called the Alef Tav or the Alpha and Omega. Zechariah 12:10 says And I will pour upon the House of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon ME (ME in Hebrew letters is Alef Tav or JESUS) whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only Son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

The prophet Amos also had a revelation about the Lord Jesus in the old testament at Amos 8:9. Now remember when our Lord Jesus died on the cross, there was darkness over all the land from the sixth to the ninth hour. Now in Hebrew time the first hour started at 6AM. So this meant when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, there was darkness on a clear day from 12 noon to 3PM.  Amos 8:9 says And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day. Amos prophesied and predicted the exact time of darkness at 12 noon when Jesus was crucified on the cross of Calvary.

Notice the picture above of the names of the 12 tribes of Israel located on the 12 gates of the kingdom of God. Now another word for gate is door and Jesus is the door or gate to enter into the kingdom of God. Jesus said at John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. Now when we all get to the kingdom of God we will all see the names of the twelve tribes of Israel on three gates in the east, three gates in the west, three gates in the south, and three gates in the north. The revelation Jesus gave Brother Bob is that the Hebrew meanings for every one of the 12 tribes refers to Jesus.

Here is a list of the twelve tribes of Israel with their Hebrew definitions. Every definition refers to Jesus. 1) Reuben-Behold A Son (Jesus is the Son of God) 2) Simeon-Heard (Jesus hears us always and blesses us all) 3) Levi-Joined To (We all are Joint Heirs with Jesus) 4) Judah-Praised (With Jesus There Is Constant Praise) 5) Zebulun-Exalted (Jesus will be exalted to be King of kings forevermore) 6) Issachar-There is Recompense (Jesus is our Reward; Jesus said at Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be) 7) Manasseh-Causing to forget (With Jesus saints forget all bad thoughts and the devil) 8) Gad-Troop (Jesus is the Captain of the Lord's Host defined in Hebrew at Joshua 5 to be the General or Commander in Chief of the Army or Troop of Warring Angels led by the Archangel Michael) 9) Asher-Happy (Jesus will forevermore make us all happy) 10) Naphtali-Wrestling (Jesus suffered for us all on the cross and obtained eternal life for us all) 11) Joseph-Jehovah Has Added (Jesus will give us all exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us) 12) Benjamin-Son Of the Right Hand (Jesus is exalted forever and sits at the right hand of the Father in the kingdom of God). In conclusion, Jesus is the only way, door, gate, and entrance into the kingdom of God.

I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will get saved so they can enter the door (gate that is Jesus) to the kingdom of God. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Notice the two pictures above and say to Jesus, Lord Jesus you are worthy to be crowned with many crowns. Like the 24 elders it would be a privilege for Brother Bob to cast his crowns before the Lord Jesus and sing the old hymn Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all. Revelation 19:12 says Jesus will have many crowns. The scripture says His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.

The scripture about the 24 elders is at Revelation 4:10 and says The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne.

A puritan in 1633 also had a revelation of the above pictures and saw the King being crowned when Joab after conquering Rabbah made sure the crown went on King David's head. The puritan wrote Let's all be like Joab when he took the city of Rabbah with David's soldiers and was willing to have the crown set on King David's head. Likewise, when Jesus hath enabled us all by His Spirit to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ, we should all set the crown of glory upon the head of Jesus alone and not suffer the least part of His honour to remain in our hands.

The puritan was referring to 2 Samuel 12:26 that says And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city. And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters. Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name. And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it. And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

The above pictures of the crowns and Jesus remind me of Melchizedek which is another name for Jesus. Hebrews 7:1 defines who Melchizedek is and says For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of Righteousness (This is Jesus because according to 1 Corinthians 1:30 God made Jesus to be righteousness), and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of Peace (This is also Jesus because Jesus gives us all peace that passeth understanding); Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

Abraham truly gave Jesus a crown and confessed that he won the victory because Jesus died for him at the cross of Calvary when he and Melchizedek remembered Jesus when they both brought forth bread and wine and celebrated the true passover. Jesus who is Melchizedek was having passover with Abraham and told him Abraham do this in remembrance of me. Jesus told Abraham to always daily remember what was accomplished at the cross of Calvary. Genesis 14:18 says And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and He was the priest of the most high God. And He blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave Him tithes of all.

Jesus Remains Riches Perish

Notice the pictures above of large amounts of money and gold and realize that the money and gold can not deliver or give anyone everlasting peace. Only the Lord Jesus gives everlasting peace. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says Now the Lord of peace Himself (Jesus) give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. The Lord Jesus is better than all the billions of dollars on this earth. Jesus said at Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

The Word of God tells us that money by itself is not evil. The love of money is the root of all evil. 1 Timothy 6:10 says For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Everyone has to make a choice. Either you will love and worship the Lord Jesus or you will love and worship money and this world. Matthew 6:24 says No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (riches and money). Right now get saved and choose Jesus instead of this troubled world with the love of money that ends in misery and death. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Avoid gambling at the casinos and buying lottery tickets where people only think about and worship money. People playing slot machines and roulette wheels in casinos and people who buy lottery tickets daily only worship and think about money with no thought about Jesus. The Word of God defines idolatry and covetousness as the greed for money. Therefore avoid casinos that promote idolatry with the love of money. You don't see ministers in casinos preaching the Word of God because gamblers rejoice about money instead of the Lord Jesus. Today choose to love the Lord Jesus by reading the Word of God daily, attending a local church, praying, and witnessing about Jesus everywhere.

Notice Solomon's warning about the love of money at Ecclesiastes 5:10 that says He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

But according to the Lord Jesus, there is a way to be wealthier than a billionaire. According to God's Word at 1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain (greater than all silver, gold, and money in this world). For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment (clothes) let us be therewith content. Therefore when you are happy with the Lord Jesus and His Word (that is Jesus) you are richer than the wealthiest billionaire tycoon on this earth. In other words money has limitations and can not give anyone eternal peace. Only Jesus can give anyone eternal peace that passeth all understanding. Jesus promised at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Note the following scriptures that tell us that money can not give anyone everlasting peace. 1 Timothy 6:9 says But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Timothy 6:17 says Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.

The Word of God tells us that money only gives people temporary pleasures that fade away. Proverbs 23:5 says Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.  But the pleasures with Jesus are for evermore. According to Hebrews 11:25 the pleasures of sin with money only last for a season. But Psalm 16:11 says Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence (Lord Jesus) is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Choose pleasures for evermore with Jesus instead of the fading pleasures for a season from the love of money. Proverbs 10:22 says The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

Read the following limitations about money. There are some things money can buy but there are also many things that money can not buy. Money can buy a house, but not a home. Money can buy a bed, but not sleep. Money can buy a clock, but not time. Money can buy a book, but not knowledge. Money can buy food, but not an appetite. Money can buy you friends, but not love. Money can buy clothes, but not beauty. Money can buy medicine, but not health. Money can buy amusement, but not eternal joy with Jesus. Money can buy luxury, but not peace. And money can buy a passport to everywhere on this earth, but it can't get you to heaven. Mark 8:36 says For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Note The Worthless Endless Cycle From The Love Of Money

Paper makes money; Money makes banks
Banks make loans; Loans make poverty
Poverty makes rags; Rags make paper
Paper makes money

Remember A Little That A Righteous Man Hath Is Better
Than The Riches Of Many Wicked

The Word of God tells us that a little with the peace and contentment from Jesus is better than the riches of many wicked. Psalm 37:16 says A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. Proverbs 15:16 says Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Proverbs 16:8 says Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. Remember little is much when God is in it. One person plus Jesus is more powerful than the mightiest army on this earth.

Don't be like the rich young ruler pictured above who chose the love of money instead of Jesus. Notice that the love of money made the rich young ruler sorrowful. Even though the rich young ruler did not commit adultery, kill, steal, or bear false witness, he refused to follow Jesus and give his money to the poor which only made him sorrowful (Luke 18:23).

Notice the pictures above of a partridge and an abandoned egg. Jeremiah 17:11 says As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days and at his end shall be a fool. You can learn from nature and birds like the partridge. It was said in history that a partridge would steal the eggs of other birds and sit on them and then abandon them. Jeremiah is warning us that if we obtain money unlawfully or by deceit, we will like the partridge abandon or lose the money and at our end become fools.

This reminds me of the rich fool who built barns and stored all his food and said for the rest of his life he could eat drink and be merry. Jesus called him a fool and said at Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall these things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Solomon gave us a warning not to worship money at Ecclesiastes 5:10. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? Jesus also gave us a warning not to worship money at Luke 12:15. And He said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Let's learn about the importance of teamwork. Team means together everyone accomplishes more. We all need each other and when we pray for one another we stay strong and accomplish more for the Lord Jesus. Notice that when Aaron and Hur pictured above lifted Moses' hands in prayer, Joshua was able to defeat the Amalekites. Moses, Aaron, Hur, and Joshua needed one another and had to work together as a team to defeat the Amalekites.

Exodus 17:11 says And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

The bible teaches us that there is more power and blessings with groups of people lifting up Jesus instead of isolated saints praying alone. Gather in groups of prayer daily lifting up the Lord Jesus to receive great blessings from God. I need you and you need me and we all need to worship and praise the Lord Jesus together. Jesus said at Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Ecclesiastes 4:9 says Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow, but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him (the devil), two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Deuteronomy 32:30 says How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. Remember one ant can push a crumb, but ten ants can push the crumb better and faster. When the church gathered and prayed together, it caused an angel to be sent to release Peter from jail when the angel broke Peter's chains and opened three iron gates, freeing Peter from jail.

Pictured above, Brother Bob shows my friends what occurs when people gather together in peace by lifting up and praising the Lord Jesus. In the first picture we see that crooked sticks seem to straighten themselves out when they are tied in a bundle. According to John 15:5, saints are the branches and Jesus is the vine. Brother Bob prays in Jesus name that my friends everywhere can be branches all over this earth gathering together in fellowship and prayer by worshipping the vine who is the Lord Jesus while they create a Holy Ghost fire to destroy the works of the devil. Remember if you rub two sticks together you get a Holy Ghost fire that burns up the devil.

We see again by the second picture above the blessings saints receive by gathering together in peace when they lift up and praise the Lord Jesus. We learn from the second picture that a singing congregation sounds fine, but I wouldn't want to hear them one at a time. I need you and you need me; When we pray for each other all over this earth, Jesus will bless us greatly and the devil will be defeated.

Snowflakes are frail, but if enough of them stick together
They can stop traffic

James 5:16 tells us to pray one for another, that ye may be healed. Notice that this scripture says to pray for others and not for yourself and Jesus will heal you. Most people pray for themselves; I pray in Jesus name we can learn to pray for others and preach the Lord Jesus. Right now Brother Bob prays for others instead of himself and says to all my friends everywhere get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Say every day I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Tell the devil the blood of Jesus has overcome and defeated you, evil must pass over me, and I am cleansed from all my sins.

The man sick with palsy was healed by the faith of his four friends who lowered him down to the Lord Jesus through a broken roof. Mark 2:3 says And they come unto Him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto Him for the press, they uncovered the roof where He was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, He said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts. Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, He said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, He saith to the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. The faith and prayers of the sick man's four friends created the healing. Jesus saw their (the faith of the four friends) and not just his (the faith of only the sick man with palsy). Therefore the prayers of others can heal and save a person who is unable to pray.

Don't be like Dinah pictured above and try to be like the daughters of the Hivites who loved the fashions of this world. Genesis 34:1 says And Dinah, the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her. When Dinah left her safety zone with the Lord Jesus, she walked into the troubled world and got raped by Shechem.

This reminds me of Abner and David. Abner was in a city of refuge called Hebron and safe from his avenger Joab. But when Joab lied to Abner and Abner went outside the city of refuge to meet Joab at the gate, Joab killed Abner. David was safe in the will of God, but when David was tired of running from Saul, David went away from the safety of the Lord Jesus to live with Achish at Ziklag and lost everything to a fire.

It is better to have peace with the Lord Jesus and rejoice through persecutions instead of dying in the world with the pleasure of sin for a season. Romans 8:13 says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Choose to get saved with the Lord Jesus and have everlasting peace instead of enjoying the sinful pleasures of this fading world.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel,
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again
