There Is A God In Heaven Who Sacrificed Himself For You And I
Today like Daniel who told King Nebuchadnezzar at Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets (to interpret dreams), Brother Bob will show you that there is a God in heaven that can bless us in many ways. First there is a God in heaven named Jesus who sacrificed Himself for you and I. This is proven by 1 Corinthians 5:7 that says For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. And 1 Peter 3:18 says For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.
Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself for our sins on the cross at Calvary. Now the blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever can wash away all our sins if we accept the Lord Jesus by faith. 1 John 2:2 says And He (Jesus) is the propitiation (that appeased God by Jesus' expiation atonement at the cross of Calvary that can by faith reconcile and save lost sinners from hell and the lake of fire) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Right now get saved and become white as snow washed clean by the blood of Jesus where your sins will never be remembered. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.
A Poem Showing How Jesus Sacrificed Himself For You And I
The Cross Was His Own
He borrowed a room
On His way to the tomb the Passover feast to eat
They borrowed a cave
For Him a grave they borrowed the linen sheet
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own
He borrowed the ship in which to sit
To teach the crowd that pressed
He borrowed pots which were filled to their tops
And made wine the very best
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own
The thorns on His head were worn in my stead
For me the Saviour died
For guilt of my sin drove the nails in
When Him they crucified
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own
1 Peter 2:24
Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree,
that we, being dead in sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.
Read Below David Livingstone's Response When Praised For His Sacrifice
As A Missionary To Lost Sinners In Africa
David Livingstone devoted his entire life to be a missionary in Africa in the 1800s winning millions of lost souls to Jesus. David Livingstone said people talk of the sacrifice I've made by spending so much of my life in Africa. Can that be called a sacrifice which is simply paid back as a small part of the great debt owing to our God which we can never repay?
Is that a sacrifice which brings its own reward of healthful activity, the consciousness of doing good, the peace of mind, and a bright hope of a glorious destiny hereafter? Away with such a word, such a view, and such a thought. It's emphatically no sacrifice. Say rather it is a privilege.
Anxiety, sickness, suffering, or danger now and then with a foregoing of the common conveniences and charities of this life may make us pause and cause the spirit to waver and sink but let this only be for a moment.
Of this we ought not to talk when we remember the great sacrifice which He made who left His Father's throne on high to give Himself for us. Our sufferings for Jesus are nothing when compared with the glory which shall hereafter be revealed in and for us. Romans 8:18 says For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
There Is A God In Heaven Who Sees And Knows Everything About Us
There is a God in heaven who sees and knows everything about us. Proverbs 15:3 says The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Luke 12:2 says For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Hebrews 4:13 says Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Job 34:21 says For His (Jesus') eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
In other words remember whenever we think no one's watching so I can sin in the dark, God is always watching everything, and we need to daily deny our flesh and live holy for Jesus. Jesus is Lord and can see all things. This was proven when Jesus said He saw Nathaniel under the fig tree before they met. Nathaniel said to Jesus at John 1:48 Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Think about Psalm 139 before you sin because Jesus knows everything about us. Psalm 139:1 says O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 1 John 3:20 says For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
A Story About A Student Who Told His Teacher
Only God Knows The Answers For His Exam
An ill prepared college student was taking an economics exam
just before Christmas vacation.
And he wrote on his paper sarcastically
Only God knows the answers to these questions, Merry Christmas.
The professor graded the papers and wrote this note back to the student.
God gets 100. You get a 0. Happy New Year.
Pictured above we see a former tourist attraction in Gatlinburg, Tennessee (A sculpture of Jesus Christ at Christus Gardens) that was removed. Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a tourist city by the Smoky Mountains with a population of only 1764 people, having many beautiful scenes to photograph. Note though that the most photographed site in Gatlinburg, Tennessee was the sculptured head of Jesus Christ pictured above in Christus Gardens. Unfortunately it has been removed.
This marble figure of the Saviour Jesus Christ was sculpted in such a way that the eyes appear to look in every direction. Regardless of where you stand, Jesus' eyes are upon you. Click the above picture and notice how Jesus' eyes always watch you. Psalm 105:4 says Seek the Lord, and His strength: seek His face evermore.
His Eye Is On The Sparrow And I Know He Watches Me
A Story About How God Comforts Us By Noticing The Tiny Sparrows
I glanced at the bird feeder and smiled. I could understand Jesus noticing if an eagle, falcon, or a hawk fell to the ground. These are the important birds that He created and the kind worth attending to. But Jesus notices every little tiny sparrow. They're a dime a dozen. Jesus said so Himself. Yet from thousands of bird species, the Lord notices the most insignificant and scuffiest bird of all. A pint sized sparrow that even dedicated bird watchers ignore.
This thought alone should calm all our fears. We should feel significant and noticed because if God takes note of every little humble sparrow; Who they are, where they are, and what they're doing; I know that He watches me. Matthew 10:29 says Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. And Luke 12:6 says Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Philippians 4:19 says But my God shall supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
There Is A God In Heaven Whose Word Is True
A Story About Why The Holiday Inn
Couldn't Build A Hotel On The Mount Of Olives
Years ago the Holiday Inn had planned to build a hotel at the Mount of Olives in Israel. They sent a group of engineers to prepare for the building of the hotel. After some investigation they said it could not be done. There is a geological fault under the Mount of Olives that is causing it to split.
This proves that God's Word at Zechariah 14:3 is true that says Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
