Jesus Wants Us To Be Humble

For today's bible lesson Brother Bob wants to state how important it is for us to be humble and only exalt the Lord Jesus and not ourselves daily. If you look at the picture above you will see King Nebuchadnezzar who learned to be humble and not boast that he built Babylon by his might without the Lord Jesus. Nebuchadnezzar's boasting and pride made his body wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws as he lost his reason for seven years. The only way Nebuchadnezzar's reason and kingdom was restored to him was when he acknowledged the Lord as the builder of Babylon proving that when anyone humbles and denies himself, giving glory only to Jesus as Lord, a blessing will occur. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says That according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Take time to read the wise words of King Nebuchadnezzar at Daniel 4:37 that says Now I, Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment; and those that walk in pride He is able to abase. Notice that Nebuchadnezzar warns us all that when a person is proud he will be abased and humbled by the Lord Jesus. DL Moody stated it is wisdom for a man to humble himself and only glorify the Lord Jesus daily to escape the necessity of being humbled.1 Corinthians 10:12 warns us all Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Also, note that 1 Corinthians 8:2 says And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing as he ought to know. Brother Bob has always told people the more I know the less I know, realizing that when someone says they know all about Jesus, they can not grow anymore because the wisdom of Jesus is infinite as proven by John 21:25. John 21:25 tells us And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. Hallelujah, Brother Bob states that all the wisdom in this book from Brother Bob is like a little dot compared to the vast infinite ocean of knowledge that exists forever about Jesus. Saint reading this keep searching the Word and looking for Jesus daily and you will never be bored with the infinite wisdom of Jesus as you daily learn new revelations that glorify the Lord Jesus making joy abound to every area of your life.

For my next example we see King Saul pictured above being reminded by the prophet Samuel that he was allowed to be king only when he was little (humble) in his own sight where only the Lord Jesus was glorified. Unfortunately, King Saul became proud and made sacrifices and decisions without consulting the Lord, and as a result lost his anointing and position as king. 1 Samuel 15:17 tells us And Samuel said, when thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel? Saint take time to think on Psalm 84:10 that says For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand, I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Meditate on this gem from DL Moody that says it is more blessed to be at the lowest position in the house of God as a lowly doorkeeper than to live as the most rich exalted emperor in an elegant palace in this wicked world.

Take time to meditate on the following scriptures that prove that blessings only happen when the Lord Jesus is exalted as we daily humble ourselves. 1 Peter 5:5 says Likewise ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder; Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility; for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. Let us all be like the apostle Paul and recite 1 Corinthians 15:10 that says But by the grace of God, I am what I am. Hallelujah, Paul acknowledged that it was the grace of God and not himself that made him what he is. I pray also in Jesus name that all my friends in the nations everywhere can say along with John the Baptist about Jesus at John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Also, note another revelation Jesus showed Brother Bob about what causes pride. Pride not only occurs when a person boasts in himself without Jesus, but also occurs when a person looks at and lifts up others around him instead of glorfying the Lord Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:12 warns us all and says For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves, but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. These people who compare themselves to others lose wisdom which is Jesus for Jesus is wisdom at 1 Corinthians 1:30. Note that 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to examine ourselves instead of looking at others to avoid becoming reprobates and losing our minds. 2 Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves, know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Since this bible study is about being humble, my friends everywhere as you look at Jesus pictured above, glorify Jesus for being our best example of humility as he states to the Father at Luke 22:42 nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Friend, Jesus was our perfect example of humility and was willing to die on the cross for you, taking away all your problems forevermore as you daily remember Jesus crucified with your heart. I pray in Jesus name that everyone reading this bible study can daily say to the Father like the Lord Jesus, not my will, but thine, be done.

Jesus was exalted and blessed for being humble and dying for us all on the cross. Jesus is our example and we all should learn to be meek and lowly like Jesus giving all glory to God which will produce rest, peace, and blessings. This is proven by Philippians 2:8 that says And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name. Matthew 11:28 says Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Note, Jesus tells us to receive rest, learn the lesson of being meek and lowly in heart daily as you exalt the Lord Jesus only.

Another bible verse that shows how Jesus was blessed for being humble and dying on the cross for our sins is Hebrews 2:9 that says But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. And finally note that the word of God states to be humble daily, bless others around you. Jesus showed Brother Bob that when we are concerned about others needs, our needs will automatically be taken care of. I used to tell other people when you get on a bus, let others get on before you, and you eventually will get a blessing and be allowed to get on the bus. Philippians 2:3 says Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Finally, note that according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, the first thing we must do for God to hear us is to daily humble ourselves. 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

To end up today's bible study Brother Bob wants to testify that after 30 years of salvation, each day brings new revelations in the Word of God about our Lord Jesus. The other day Brother Bob discovered a precious gem in the Word of God at Isaiah 45:3 which I encourage all my friends everywhere to memorize. I encourage all my friends in the many nations to open their bibles to Isaiah 45:3 and I claim in Jesus name for all who forevermore read this bible study the promise of Isaiah 45:3 from our Lord Jesus that says And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Let me state to all my friends everywhere that Jesus is greater than all the silver, gold, or choicest treasures of this world. Psalm 119:72 tells us The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. A puritan Oliver Heywood in 1629 said a mountain of gold and silver heaped as high as heaven is not as rich a treasure as the Word of God or Jesus. We should all rejoice in Jesus for his word like a gold miner rejoices when he discovers gold worth millions of dollars. Psalm 119:162 say I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. Finally, read these other scriptures showing that we should rejoice in Jesus as one that rejoices in great riches. Psalm 119:14 says I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. Psalm 119:111 says Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Happiness Because Jesus Removed Our Sins

Saints today Brother Bob gives you a special bible study listing the five expressions in the bible about how God covers our sins. As you read this bible study rejoice knowing that your sins are forgiven.  Psalm 32:1 tells us Blessed (defined as happy) is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Friend reading this anywhere no matter what past sins you have committed, today if you confess Jesus as God and believe in your heart Jesus died for you and rose again you will totally be set free from the guilt of your past sins and saved.

First, as you look at the above picture praise Jesus for casting your sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:18 tells us Who is a God like unto thee that pardoneth iniquity and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us, He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. DL Moody said our sins can't be found floating on the surface of the seas for Jesus has removed our sins in the undiscoverable depths of the sea.

Second, as you look at the picture above of Moses looking at the back parts of God, praise Jesus who is God for casting our sins behind His back. Isaiah 38:17 tells us Behold, for peace I had great bitterness; but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

The face of Jesus was so bright that Moses could only look upon His back parts and live. Exodus 33:22 says And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by; And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts; but my face shall not be seen. Hallelujah, all our sins are behind God's back where no devil can find them and haunt us because no devil can pass by the brightness of God's face.

DL Moody said Jesus has taken all my sins and cast them behind His back. Not behind my back. The smallest devil in hell could find them before I got to bed tonight, and haunt me, if they were behind my back, but they can't get behind the Almighty, behind God's back. Also, rejoice as Brother Bob quotes one of his favorite bible verses at Isaiah 65:17 proving that in the kingdom there will be no memory of our past sins. Isaiah 65:17 says For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Third, as you all look at the above picture, rejoice that our sins have been blotted out as a thick cloud. Isaiah 44:22 says I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins; return unto me, for I have redeemed thee. The hebrew defiinition of sins being blotted out means that our sins have been obliterated, exterminated, abolished, and destroyed forever where there is no memory of our sins.

DL Moody described how our sins are blotted out as a thick cloud. DL Moody said you see a cloud tonight, and you get up early in the morning, and it is gone. Can you find the cloud? Never. There may be other clouds, but that cloud will never appear in the history of the universe; God says He will blot sin out like a thick cloud.

These examples of forgiveness of sin caused Brother Bob to think about King Manasseh who was forgiven for enchantments, witchcraft, and burning his own kids in a fire. Friend reading this if Jesus can forgive Manasseh for all this evil, Jesus will forgive you of all your past sins (no matter how wicked be it murder, rape, or any evil) if you repent now, sin no more, and confess Jesus as your Lord, believing Jesus died for you and rose again. Manasseh's forgiveness was recorded at 2 Chronicles 33:12 and says And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord, his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And prayed unto Him, and he was intreated of Him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord He was God.

Fourth, as you look at the above picture, rejoice that God has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. As Brother Bob quoted Psalm 103, this made me think of the daily benefits that Jesus gives us all.
Psalm 68:19 says Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Now to learn the daily benefits which in Jesus name I speak to occur in all our lives, lets all read the listed benefits stated in Psalm 103. Psalm 103:2 says Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth (defined as surroundeth) thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are opppressed.

Fifth, lets all rejoice that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 says But, if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Right now friend reading this anywhere, think on Jesus Christ crucified with your heart, and I claim in Jesus name all thoughts of guilt from past sins will be removed by the blood of Jesus. This is proven by Hebrews 9:14 that says How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge (defined as cleanse) your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Finally, to end up today's bible study, Brother Bob encourages everyone to be wise and seek Jesus. As I've stated many times, to be wise learn about Jesus who is the word of God. 1 Corinthians 1:30 tells us that Jesus is wisdom and says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Note that 1 Corinthians 3:19 says For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. The bible tells us when a man boasts in worldy wisdom without Jesus, this man is a fool. Romans 1:22 says professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Brother Bob always tells people the more I know the less I know. 1 Corinthians 8:2 says And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. I pray in Jesus name we all keep our minds open to learning more about Jesus, never saying I've learned all about Jesus.

The wisdom and knowledge of Jesus is infinite and friend reading this anywhere, keep searching and discovering the infinite wisdom of Jesus. John 21:25 says And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. Job 11:7 says Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven, what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

As always Brother Bob has enjoyed writing this bible study and I pray in Jesus name it blesses all my friends that forevermore read this with peace and strength.
