Everyone needs to be humble and only exalt the Lord Jesus and not ourselves daily. If you look at the picture above you will see King Nebuchadnezzar who learned to be humble and not boast that he built Babylon by his might without the Lord Jesus. Nebuchadnezzar's boasting and pride made his body wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws when he lost his reason for seven years. The only way Nebuchadnezzar's reason and kingdom was restored to him was when he acknowledged the Lord Jesus as the builder of Babylon proving that when anyone humbles and denies himself, giving glory only to the Lord Jesus, a blessing will occur. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Take time to read the wise words of King Nebuchadnezzar at Daniel 4:37 that says Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: and those that walk in pride He is able to abase. Notice that Nebuchadnezzar warns us all that when a person is proud he will be abased and humbled by the Lord Jesus.
DL Moody said It is wisdom for a man to humble himself and only glorify the Lord Jesus daily to escape the necessity of being humbled. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. James 4:10 says Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
1 Corinthians 8:2 says And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing as he ought to know. Brother Bob has always told people The more I know, the less I know, realizing that when someone says they know all about Jesus, they can not grow anymore because the wisdom of Jesus is infinite and proven by John 21:25. John 21:25 says And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. Brother Bob states that all the wisdom noted at preachbrotherbob is like a little dot compared to the vast infinite wisdom and knowledge that exists forever about Jesus. Keep studying the Word of God and you will never be bored with the infinite wisdom of Jesus while you daily learn new revelations that glorify the Lord Jesus. Ransack the blessed KJV 1611 Word of God. Psalm 119:162 says I rejoice at thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil.
For my next example notice King Saul pictured above being reminded by the prophet Samuel that he was allowed to be king only when he was little (humble) in his own sight where only the Lord Jesus was glorified. Unfortunately King Saul became proud and made sacrifices and decisions without consulting the Lord, and therefore lost his anointing when David became king and replaced Saul.
1 Samuel 15:17 says And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel? Notice that Psalm 84:10 says For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. DL Moody said "It is more blessed to be at the lowest position in the house of God as a lowly doorkeeper than to live as the most rich exalted emperor in an elegant palace in this wicked world."
Blessings happen when the Lord Jesus is exalted while we daily humble ourselves. 1 Peter 5:5 says Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Paul said at 1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Paul acknowledged that it was the grace of God and not himself that blessed his life. I pray in Jesus name that everyone everywhere can say along with John the Baptist at John 3:30 He (the Lord Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease.
Pride not only occurs when a person boasts in himself without Jesus, but also occurs when a person looks at and lifts up others around him instead of glorfying the Lord Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:12 says For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. These people who compare themselves to others lose wisdom who is Jesus because 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that the Lord Jesus is wisdom. Note that 2 Corinthians 13:5 tells us to examine ourselves instead of looking at others to avoid becoming reprobates and losing our minds. 2 Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Notice the Lord Jesus pictured above and praise Jesus for being our best example of humility when He states to the Father at Luke 22:42 Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. The Lord Jesus was our perfect example of humility and was willing to die on the cross of Calvary for everyone, taking away all their problems forevermore. I pray in Jesus name that everyone reading this bible study can daily say to the Father like the Lord Jesus, Not my will, but thine, be done.
Jesus was exalted and blessed for being humble and dying for lost sinners on the cross of Calvary. Jesus is our example and we all should learn to be meek and lowly like Jesus giving all the glory to God that will produce rest, peace, and blessings. Philippians 2:8 says And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. The Lord Jesus told us how to receive rest. Become meek and lowly in heart daily while you exalt the Lord Jesus and you will receive rest.
Another bible verse that shows how Jesus was blessed for being humble and dying on the cross of Calvary for our sins is Hebrews 2:9 that says But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Note that the Word of God tells us to be humble daily and bless others around you.
Jesus showed Brother Bob that when we are concerned about others needs, our needs will be taken care of. I used to tell other people when you get on a bus, let others get on before you, and you eventually will get a blessing and be allowed to get on the bus. Philippians 2:3 says Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Finally note that according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, the first thing we must do for God to hear us is to daily humble ourselves. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The other day Brother Bob discovered a precious gem in the Word of God at Isaiah 45:3. I encourage all my friends in the many nations to open their bibles to Isaiah 45:3 and I claim in Jesus name for all who forevermore read this bible study the promise of Isaiah 45:3 from our Lord Jesus that says And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
The Lord Jesus is greater than all the silver, gold, or choicest treasures of this world. Psalm 119:72 says The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Oliver Heywood said in 1629 "A mountain of gold and silver heaped as high as heaven is not as rich a treasure as the Word of God and the Lord Jesus." We should all rejoice about the Lord Jesus and the Word of God like a gold miner rejoices when he discovers gold worth millions of dollars. Psalm 119:14 says I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. Psalm 119:162 says I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
The Word of God tells us that a little with the peace and contentment from Jesus is better than the riches of many wicked. Psalm 37:16 says A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. Proverbs 15:16 says Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Proverbs 16:8 says Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. Proverbs 15:17 says Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Proverbs 17:1 says Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife. Remember little is much when God is in it. One person plus Jesus is more powerful than the mightiest army on this earth.
I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength.
