How To See Good Days

1 Peter 3:10-11 Tells Us How To See Good Days

If you want to see good days, notice that 1 Peter 3:10-12 tells us how to see good days. Let's discuss the six ways listed in this bible verse to see good days. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

According to this bible verse you can have a good day every day and lay down at night saying It's been a good day. And when you wake up the next morning instead of saying good Lord its morning again, you'll say Hallelujah good morning Lord. Now let's look at the six ways to see good days. After you read this bible study, Brother Bob says to everyone I hope you have a good day.

How To See Good Days
1) Refrain Your Tongue From Evil

The first way to see good days is to refrain your tongue from evil. In other words learn how to keep your mouth shut. Proverbs 10:19 says In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise. Ecclesiastes 5:2 says Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth; therefore let thy words be few. And James 1:19 says Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man  be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Many people talk too much and have not learned to refrain their tongue from evil. A man once said that my wife speaks 140 words a minute with gusts of up to 180. Another lady traded off her vacuum cleaner for a cellphone because she could pick up a whole lot more dirt with the cellphone than she could using a vacuum cleaner.

Instead, live so that you wouldn't be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip. Let's all see good days and stop gossiping by making our words few without speaking evil. Jesus said at Matthew 12:36-37 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Don't Be Like The Gossiping Athenians

Don't be like the gossiping Athenians who according to Acts 17:21 spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing. Remember the sin of gossip is listed in the same verse (Romans 1:29-30) as murder, fornication, and haters of God. In other words, a gossiper is in the same class as a murderer, hater of God, and a whoremonger. Don't gossip because according to Romans 1:29-30 a backbiter gossiper is equal to the sin of fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, murder, debate deceit, malignity, a hater of God, despiteful, proud, boaster, inventor of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful who knowing the judgment of God that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

How To See Good Days
2) Let Your Lips Speak No Guile

The second way to see good days is to let your lips speak no guile (defined as not being deceitful and crafty speaking lies). In other words if you want to live a happy life and see good days, be honest and speak the truth to everyone. When you sell a used car, be truthful and tell the buyer what's wrong with the car. Don't wiggle around the truth and lie like most politicians. How do you know when a politician is lying? Every time he opens his mouth. How do you know when a politician is telling the truth? When he says that another politician is a liar.

Don't be like people who speak deceitfully with guile by changing the subject to avoid an answer. For example, preachers who don't believe Jesus is God are good at speaking with guile and changing the subject. If you ask them Is Jesus God? Instead of saying yes or no, they'll change the subject and reply Well according to the Greeks and Babylonians idolatry and the concept of God is a vague interpretation.

Sinners who don't want to get saved speak deceitfully with guile by changing the subject. When you ask a sinner Are you saved, they'll change the subject and say I'm a good catholic, I go to church, or I'm a good person instead of saying yes or no. Right now don't choose to avoid getting saved through guile. It's either trust Jesus and get saved or deny Jesus and be damned. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Let's all see good days and stop speaking deceitfully with guile. Tell the truth and be honest. People might say Well if I tell the truth, it will get me into trouble. But if you tell a lie, it will get you into more trouble. And one lie will lead to another lie with more trouble leading to prison and death. Just tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Take your punishment and get it over with. Don't hide your sin by speaking guile. Proverbs 28:13 warns us He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

How To See Good Days
3) Eschew Evil

The third way to see good days is to eschew evil. This means to deliberately avoid and stay away from all evil. Proverbs 4:14 says Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men; Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Years ago, a brother lit up a joint in his house while I was praying for him. Immediately I vacated the premises and eschewed the evil. Now when I minister to drug addicts, I meet them in a public place like Cracker Barrel restaurant to avoid the appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 tells us to abstain from all appearance of evil.

If you are truly saved, the Holy Ghost inside of you won't let you feel comfortable and become grieved at a bar or casino surrounded by evil sin. One time someone invited Brother Bob to a buffet inside a casino. When I learned that I had to walk through the casino to get to the buffet, I eschewed evil and deliberately avoided the buffet and the casino because Brother Bob used to be a gambler in Atlantic City before he got saved.

To the women reading this bible study, learn to eschew evil. Don't be like some women who scream at a mouse but get into a car with a wolf. Don't be like the woman who said I know that my boyfriend is a wicked sinner; but he's funny and he makes me laugh. Eventually he'll be telling this woman funny jokes from a jail cell in prison.

Remember you become like the company that you associate with. Proverbs 13:20 says He that walketh with wise men shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. In other words, if you hang around wild, crazy, and sinful people, you'll become wild, crazy, and sinful. If you hang around good, wise, christian people, you'll become a good, wise, christian person.

In the bible, Amnon became sneaky and sinful when he associated with his sneaky sinful friend named Jonadab. Jonadab told Amnon to pretend that he was sick so that he could rape his sister Tamar. Amnon listened to the wrong advice from his wicked friend Jonadab and raped his sister Tamar while pretending to be sick in his bedroom. Eventually, because Amnon did not eschew evil, his brother Absalom killed him and then rebelled against his father King David. This all occurred because Amnon did not eschew evil and avoid his sneaky sinful friend named Jonadab.

Avoid the Jonadabs of today who want to party Saturday night while they drink beer, smoke weed, and commit fornication. Instead live holy for Jesus while you see good days by eschewing evil; Obey 1 Peter 1:15 that says But as He (Jesus) which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy.

How To See Good Days
4) Do Good

The fourth way to see good days is to do good. Galatians 6:7 says Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. What goes around comes around; If you're kind, forgiving and friendly, people will be kind, forgiving, and friendly to you. If you're mean, selfish, and grumpy, people will be mean, selfish, and grumpy to you. Galatians 6:8-10 says For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (defined as destruction), but he that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith (go the extra mile to bless your brothers and sisters that are in Christ Jesus).

Half of the christian life is to stop doing wrong; the other half of the christian life is to do good and bless people. Find some way to daily do good to help people. Bless the janitor cleaning the Walmart or Kroger grocery store with some money, help a neighbor buy food for their baby, visit the senior citizens and pray for them, and give the waitress at a restaurant an extra good tip with a kind word. When you do good to people around you, you will receive peace and see good days.

How To See Good Days
5) Seek Peace And Ensue It

The fifth way to see good days is to seek peace and ensue it. In other words if you seek peace, peace will ensue and occur afterwards as a result. Remember when you make peace, you're being like Jesus; but when you make war, you're being like the devil. Romans 12:18 tells us If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine: I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head; Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 5:9 says Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Right now say and believe one of my favorite bible verses at 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. How comforting to remember that Jesus said at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

How To See Good Days
6) Always Pray
For The Lord's Ears Are Open To A Righteous Man's Prayers

The sixth way to see good days is to always pray while the Lord Jesus hears your righteous prayers. Be like Harvey Phillips who always prayed to overcome his troubles. Whenever anyone saw Harvey Phillips, Harvey was always praying. When they left Harvey at a hotel room before he preached, the desk clerk said the entire hotel could hear Harvey praying all day long. When the maid cleaned Harvey's room, Harvey told the maid Do you mind if I pray in the corner of this room while you clean? Harvey laid on the floor praying the whole time that the maid cleaned the hotel room.

One time Harvey's wife was worried about their son on a Navy warship in the Pacific Ocean near California. Harvey told his wife he was going to the woods in North Carolina to pray from 12 Noon to 5PM for five hours. When Harvey came home after prayer, Harvey was shouting praises and rejoicing. Harvey said Praise God I just heard from heaven that everything is going to be alright with our son. The Lord lowered down Jacob's ladder and I climbed up Jacob's ladder over North Carolina, and over Arkansas, and over Colorado, and then I could see California by the eyes of faith where the Navy ship with our son was safely docking on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. At the church that night, Harvey shouted the victory saying My boys gonna be alright; God heard my prayer.

The next day while Harvey and his wife were eating supper, they received a telegram from California. The telegram from Harvey's son said The ship has docked; I'm OK; 3:30PM yesterday which was the exact same time that Harvey got the victory in prayer in the woods. Everything is alright. When Harvey's wife saw the telegram, she shouted praises for the victory saying My boys safe. Then Harvey's wife asked Harvey Why aren't you shouting praises? Harvey replied I shouted yesterday when I got my telegram from heaven after I prayed. Remember we serve a God that can answer prayer and work miracles. Continue to always pray like Harvey to see good days. Keep praying for Jesus to save your kids, parents, and your marriage. James 5:16 promises that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I truly have enjoyed writing this bible study about how to see good days. I pray in Jesus name that it blesses multitudes all over this earth with great peace, strength, and joy. Ways To Be Happy

Ways To Be Happy
1) Happy People Trust In The Lord Jesus

The first way to be happy is to trust in the Lord Jesus. Happy people believe that Jesus is God and worship Jesus. Notice that whenever you see the word blessed in the bible it means happy in hebrew. Psalm 84:12 says O Lord of hosts, blessed (defined in hebrew as happy) is the man that trusteth in thee. According to this bible verse, you'll be blessed and happy when you get saved and decide to trust in Jesus as God. Right now get saved and be happy with peace; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess everywhere that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Notice the following bible verses that promise happiness when Jesus is your God. Psalm 144:15 promises Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord. According to Hebrews 1:8 Jesus is God that says But unto the Son (Jesus) He (The Father) saith, Thy throne, O God (The Father called Jesus God), is for ever and ever; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. And according to Isaiah 26:3 when Jesus is your God, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee (the Lord Jesus) because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever; for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

Remember happiness and joy with Jesus will overcome fear. The opposite of fear is faith in the Lord Jesus with happiness. Psalm 56:13 says What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee (Lord Jesus). And after you trust in the Lord Jesus, you'll receive happiness and joy which will give you strength to survive because Nehemiah 8:10 promises that the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Remember faith in the Lord Jesus will overcome fear. When you are afraid, by faith look with your heart at Jesus crucified which is perfect love and fear will disappear. 1 John 4:18 promises There is no fear in love, but perfect love (looking daily with your heart to perfect Jesus crucified saying I am crucified with Christ) casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Sing With The Kids Happiness Is The Lord

Words For Happiness Is The Lord

Happiness is to know the Saviour; Living a life within His favor
Having a change in my behavior; Happiness is the Lord

Happiness is a new creation; Jesus and me in close relation
Having a part in His salvation; Happiness is the Lord

Real joy is mine no matter if the tear drops start
I've found the secret; It's Jesus in my heart

Happiness is to be forgiven; Living a life that's worth the living
Taking a trip that leads to heaven; Happiness is the Lord

Be Happy Like Granny Pictured Above Who Trusts In The Lord Jesus
Remember One Person Plus Jesus Equals Victory Over Any Problem

Granny pictured above lived in Kingsport Tennessee and was happy. Granny never left Tennessee and every day she sat in a rocking chair on her porch and knitted quilts while she read her bible and praised the Lord Jesus. Granny ate biscuits and gravy every day and enjoyed the clean air and clean water. Granny wasn't a millionaire and didn't travel everywhere, but Granny was happy and had Jesus. Like Granny all you need is a blessed little home with Jesus to be happy.

The following scriptures prove that you can be like Granny and happy with Jesus and a blessed little home. Proverbs 15:17 promises Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Proverbs 17:1 promises Better is a dry morsel and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife. Like Granny, Brother Bob left millions of dollars and is happy with Jesus in a poor little apartment writing these stories on preachbrotherbob to bless people all over this earth with great peace.

Ways To Be Happy
2) Happy People Daily Read And Memorize The Word Of God

The second way to be happy is to daily read and memorize the Word Of God. James 1:25 promises But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, (daily reads and memorizes God's Word) he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed (happy) in his deed. Don't just say I'll read the bible tomorrow; Be a doer and get happy and read the bible today. Jesus said at John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. Jeremiah 15:16 promises Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Finally Psalm 119:16 tells us I will delight myself in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.

Here's some more scriptures that promise happiness and delight when we daily read, listen to, and memorize the Word of God. Psalm 119:24 promises Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors; my soul cleaveth unto the dust; quicken thou me according to thy word. Psalm 1 promises if you daily meditate on the Word of God you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. In other words, you'll be happy with strength when you wake up early each day and delight in reading and studying the bible.

Ways To Be Happy
3) Happy People Always Attend Church

The third way to be happy is to always attend church. Psalm 84:4 promises Blessed (happy) are thy that dwell in thy house; they will still be praising thee. Selah. (note that Selah means to pause and reflect on this thought). Happy people attend church on Sunday to worship Jesus instead of selfish recreation. One time a little kid at church said Mom, Daddy wants to watch football; You want to be home cooking; I want to be outside playing; Why are we here? These parents need to tell this kid Hebrews 10:25 says Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Remember when you don't want to attend church and be alone say Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And according to Deuteronomy 32:30 one will chase a thousand, but two will put ten thousand to flight. There is ten times more power in prayer with two people than one person. In other words there is power in numbers to overcome problems. One ant can push a crumb; but ten ants can push it better. We need to attend church and pray for each other to overcome problems.

Don't be like Thomas who missed a church service and doubted that Jesus had risen from the dead. Thomas said I won't believe in the resurrection of Jesus until I see Jesus. Jesus appeared again to the disciples and Thomas saying at John 20:29 Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Learn about the importance of attending church from this story about how a deaf man faithfully attended church. This deaf man went to church every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. Rain or shine this deaf man never missed a church service. His neighbors were amazed at how this deaf man never missed a church service. One day someone asked the deaf man, Why do you drive your car to every church service when you can't even hear what the preacher is saying? You're deaf. The deaf man replied, I just want to let people know whose side I'm on. The moral of this story is that if you lay out of church next Sunday for a lame excuse, please take your car around the back of your house and hide it so your neighbors won't know how sorry you are.

Ways To Be Happy
4) Happy People Realize That Their Sins Are Forgiven

The fourth way to be happy is to realize that your sins are forgiven. Romans 4:7 says Blessed (happy) are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed (happy) is the man to whom the Lord will not impute (take into account) sin. Saved saints get happy when they realize that the blood of Jesus has removed all the guilt from their past wicked sins. 1 John 1:7 promises But if we walk in the light, as He (Jesus) is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Lost sinners without Jesus in the world try to remove their guilt about past sins by drinking liquor, smoking pot, or committing fornication. But after the momentary pleasure and hangover, the problem and guilt still remains. Only the blood of Jesus can remove the guilt after sin. Notice the trade off: Jesus took our sins away upon Himself and gave us His perfect righteousness. Praise Jesus right now as you say 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Take time to read this story about a lunatic without Jesus who went crazy from the guilt of his past sins. This lunatic escaped an insane asylum and visited an abandoned mine shaft every day yelling Down he goes; Down he goes constantly. This lunatic went insane because of guilt every day when he remembered killing a man in a mine shaft. If this lunatic got saved with Jesus, Jesus would have removed his guilt, saved him, and given him peace of mind. The bible tells us of a lunatic thief on a cross by Jesus who got saved and free from past guilt. This thief repented and said at Luke 23:42 Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Right now no matter how wicked your past sins were, repent and ask Jesus to cleanse away your sin in His precious blood, and your guilt will be removed forever where you will have peace of mind.

Criminals in court get happy when a jury returns a not guilty verdict and they are set free. Likewise, guilty sinners get happy when Judge Jesus returns a not guilty verdict by removing their sins with His precious blood to set them free. In other words, judicially, saved sinners are declared righteous and innocent with no memory of their past wicked sins. John 8:36 promises If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Ways To Be Happy
5) Happy People Deny Sin And Wait On Jesus

The fifth way to be happy is to deny sin and wait on Jesus. James 1:12 says Blessed (happy) is the man that endureth temptation (defined as remaining faithful to Jesus when you are enticed by sin); for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. In other words when the devil tempts you with a moment of sinful pleasure, deny sin and live holy for our Lord Jesus.

It's important to daily deny sin by staying in the Word, praying, and attending church because sin makes our prayers ineffective. Psalm 66:18 says If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Isaiah 59:2 says But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. Deny sin daily and get your prayer requests answered while you receive peace, healing, and victory in every area of your life.

Finally, people are happy that don't react to problems but wait on direction from God after prayer. Tell your problems to the Lord Jesus who will give you one of two answers (peace that means yes and no peace that means no). James 5:11 promises Behold we count them happy which endure (wait on the Lord Jesus to solve their problems). Ye have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy. Isaiah 40:31 promises But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
