Jesus The God Man

The man Jesus got tired
The God Jesus said
Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden
and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28
The man Jesus got thirsty at Calvary
The God Jesus gave us living water
The man Jesus got hungry
The God Jesus fed thousands with a lad's lunch
The man Jesus slept on a pillow in a ship
The God Jesus rebuked the wind and said unto the sea Peace Be Still
And the wind ceased and there was a great calm Mark 4:39
The man Jesus wept at Lazarus' tomb
The God Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead
The man Jesus was despised of men
The God Jesus is worshipped by all the angels of God
The man Jesus sorrowed over separation from friends
The God Jesus promised never to leave us comfortless
and to come to us John 14:18
The man Jesus was tempted in all points like as we are
The God Jesus was without sin baffling his enemies with the question
Which of you convinceth me of sin John 8:46
He Did It For Us

This poem was inspired by Romans 4:25
He was delivered for our offences and was raised again for our justification
His sacrificial death means that atonement was made for our sins
His resurrection means that the repentant sinner stands justified before God
In His death He assumed our guilt
In His resurrection He declared our acquittal
In His death He bore the penalty
In His resurrection He proclaimed our pardon
In His death our sins were judged
In His resurrection our freedom is pronounced
On the cross our condemnation was transferred to Christ
From the empty tomb our complete redemption is assured
The dying Saviour suffered the agonies of the cross
to rescue us from eternal damnation
The risen Saviour brings triumphant liberation
to every trusting soul
The dying Saviour displayed the forgiving love of God
The risen Saviour gives us the power to show our love for Him
The crucified Saviour revealed to us the hopelessness and doom of sin
The risen Saviour gives us a living hope both for time and eternity
Receive deliverance from your sins and get saved right now
Repent, confess Jesus to be your God,
believing Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose again

What Would You Do If Jesus Showed Up At Your House

If Jesus came to your house to spend some time with you
If he came unexpected I wonder what you'd do
Oh I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored guest
And all the food you'd give to him would be the very best
And you would keep assuring him you're glad to have him there
That serving him in your home is joy beyond compare
But when you saw him coming would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched and welcomed to your heavenly visitor
Or would you have to change your clothes before you let him in
Or hide some magazines and put the bible where they'd been
Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out
Could you let Jesus walk right in or would you rush about
And I wonder if the Saviour spent a day or two with you
Would you go right on doing the things you always do
Would you go on saying the things you always say
Or would life for you continue as it does from day to day
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you go
Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or so
Would you be glad to have him meet your closest friends
Or would you hope they stay away until his visit ends
Would you be glad to have him stay forever on and on
Or would you sigh with great relief when finally he was gone
It might be interesting to know the things that we would do
If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you
