Wise Sayings About Jesus The God Man From RG Lee, Stephen Charnock, And John Flavel; What Would You Do If Jesus Showed Up At Your House

Wise Sayings About Jesus The God Man
By RG Lee

The man Jesus got tired. The God Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The man Jesus got hungry. The God Jesus fed five thousand with a lad's lunch. The man Jesus got thirsty on the cross of Calvary. The God Jesus told the woman at the well and all christians that He gives living water to quench a thirsty soul. John 4:10 says Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knowest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. Jesus said at John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The man Jesus slept on a pillow in a ship. Mark 4:38 says And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? The God Jesus woke up at Mark 4:39. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? The raging waves laid down like sleeping dogs at Jesus' feet and the winds howling like maniacs began to whisper softly like babes in sleep.

The man Jesus wept at Lazarus' tomb at John 11:35. The God Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after four days after saying three words Lazarus, come forth at John 11:43. If Jesus only said Come forth, all the dead people everywhere would have risen from the dead. No one ever died in the presence of Jesus. If anyone was already dead when Jesus met them, they were raised from the dead to life (Lazarus after being dead 4 days, Jairus' daughter, and the widow of Nain's son all lived again when Jesus met them). And note that the two thieves by Jesus on the cross did not die until after Jesus gave up the ghost.

The man Jesus was despised and rejected of men. Isaiah 53:3 says He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. The God Jesus is worshipped by innumerable angels in heaven. Revelation 5:11 says And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

The man Jesus sorrowed over separation from his friends. Matthew 26:37 says And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. The God Jesus told christians at John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Hebrews 13:5 says Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

The man Jesus allowed a ship to carry Him across the sea. The God Jesus walked on the waves of the sea as though they were floors of opal and amethyst and emeralds. John 6:19 says So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. The man Jesus was in all points tempted like as we are. Hebrews 4:15 says For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. The God Jesus was without sin baffling his enemies at John 8:46 with the question Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

The Lord Jesus Knew No Sin, Did No Sin,
Had No Sin, And Is Without Sin

Many great men of the bible had flaws, but the bible proclaims that Jesus is perfect, sinless, and has no faults. Truly Jesus is the name above all names. The Lord Jesus knew no sin, did no sin, had no sin, and is without sin. The Lord Jesus is perfect and sinless forever proven by the following four bible verses.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says Jesus KNEW NO SIN saying For He (The Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 1 Peter 2:22 says Jesus DID NO SIN saying Who (Jesus) did no sin, neither was guile (deceit or trickery) found in His mouth.

1 John 3:5 says Jesus HAD NO SIN saying And ye know that He (Jesus) was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. Finally Hebrews 4:15 says Jesus IS WITHOUT SIN saying For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Humanity has never reversed the verdict that Governor Pilate gave when he washed his hands and said I find no fault in Him (Jesus).

What Would You Do If Jesus Showed Up At Your House
By Author Unknown

If Jesus came to your house to spend some time with you; If he came unexpected I wonder what you'd do. Oh I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored guest; And all the food you'd give to him would be the very best. And you would keep assuring him you're glad to have him there; That serving him in your home is joy beyond compare. But when you saw him coming would you meet him at the door; With arms outstretched and welcomed to your heavenly visitor.

Or would you have to change your clothes before you let him in; Or hide some magazines and put the bible where they'd been. Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out; Could you let Jesus walk right in or would you rush about. And I wonder if the Saviour spent a day or two with you; Would you go right on doing the things you always do. Would you go on saying the things you always say; Or would life for you continue as it does from day to day.

Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you go; Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or so. Would you be glad to have him meet your closest friends; Or would you hope they stay away until his visit ends. Would you be glad to have him stay forever on and on; Or would you sigh with great relief when finally he was gone. It might be interesting to know the things that we would do; If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you.
