Ways To Have Power With God

1) Look By Faith With Your Heart To The Cross of Calvary Every Day

     The first way to have power with God is to look by faith with your heart to the cross of Calvary every day. 1 Corinthians 1:18 states that faith in the cross with Jesus (the same yesterday, today, and for ever Hebrews 13:8) is the power of God. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it (the cross) is the power of God. Every day tell the devil Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Jesus Christ and my worries, fears, sickness, and all my troubles have been destroyed at the cross of Calvary (Hebrews 2:14). 

     Remember according to 1 John 4:18 perfect love (Jesus dying on the cross of Calvary for our sins) casteth out fear. God defines love as Jesus dying on the cross at 1 John 4:10 that says Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son (Jesus) to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 3:16 says Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He (Jesus) laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 

     Today we see that many churches according to 2 Timothy 3:5 are having a form of godliness, but denying the power (preaching about the cross of Jesus) thereof. These churches have no love because they only preach about prosperity and money, failing to preach about Jesus, the cross, and the blood of Jesus. 

     Whenever you have to speak or preach before crowds of people, look with your heart to the cross of Jesus and I guarantee that you won't be nervous or afraid. 1 John 4:18 says There is no fear in love; but perfect love (Jesus crucified) casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

     And it's amazing that when anyone looks to the cross, it is impossible to think a bad thought because the blood of Jesus blocks any bad thoughts. Try this once; Look at the cross with your heart and bad thoughts can never enter your mind.  2 Corinthians 10:5 says to look to the cross to remove bad thoughts: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (at the cross of Calvary).

2) Be Like Jacob: Keep Praying; Always Trying To Hold Jesus And His Word

     The second way to have power with God is to be like Jacob who kept praying and always tried to hold Jesus and His Word. Hosea 12:3 says He (Jacob) took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God. Yea, he had power over the angel (who was the Lord Jesus who appeared to Jacob as a theophany manifestation of God), and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto Him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us. To get power with God, be like Jacob and tell the Lord Jesus daily Genesis 32:26: I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. Remember hold onto the Lord Jesus daily in prayer by staying in the Word of God (that is Jesus) to receive power because Psalm 62:11 says God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

Don't Spend More Time Playing Than Praying

A Man Who Kneels Before God Will Stand Before Men

     Be like John Praying Hyde who also kept praying daily and received great power from God to win thousands of souls to Jesus in India. John Praying Hyde once prayed and fasted on his knees continuously for 40 hours pleading for the salvation of lost souls in India. Whenever anyone found John Hyde, he was praying. John Hyde would pray before he preached; then he would preach the Word and after preaching John Hyde would return to his room to continue praying. 

     The first year in India, missionary John Hyde vowed to win one soul a day and successfully won 365 souls to Jesus. The second year in India, he vowed to win two souls a day and successfully won 730 souls to Jesus. The third year in India, he vowed to win three souls a day and successfully won 1095 souls to Jesus. Finally, the fourth year in India, he vowed to win four souls a day and successfully won 1460 souls to Jesus. 

     Note another prayer warrior that received great power to win souls to Jesus named Edward Praying Payson. Edward Praying Payson prayed so much for the salvation of lost sinners that he made two grooves in the hardwood floor by his bed. Every day Mr. Payson would seesaw back and forth agonizing about lost souls while praying for their salvation. Friends let's all be like John Hyde and Edward Payson and daily pray and witness Jesus to lost sinners. In Jesus name, I claim power and strength to my friends everywhere that choose to pray for lost sinners' salvation everywhere. 

     Instead of organizing a dead formal religious church, begin to agonize and pray with power for the salvation of lost sinners. Psalm 126:5 says They that sow in tears shall reap in joy (Are you weeping and praying with power for the salvation of lost sinners)? He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed (preaching everywhere and on this internet the seed Word of God), shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves (saved souls) with him.

3) Be Like Peter; Tarry In Prayer While You Wait For Power Of God

    The third way to have power with God is to be like Peter who tarried in prayer while he waited for the power of God. In other words, continue to keep praying for your requests and don't quit; Quitters never win and winners never quit. God will honor your importunity and persistence in prayer by granting your prayer requests. 

     Now some people say if you pray something more than once you have no faith. This is wrong and does not agree with the bible because Jesus Himself prayed the same words of a prayer three times over and over again in the garden of Gethsemane. Matthew 26:44 says And He (Jesus) left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Now if the Lord Jesus prayed the same words of a prayer three times, don't stop praying for your blessings, and Jesus will bless your faith and grant your requests.  

     God told Peter he had to tarry and wait with prayer to receive power at Luke 24:49 that says And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. After Peter waited (tarried) in prayer, Peter received power to save three thousand souls and heal a lame man. Peter told this lame man at Acts 3:6 Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. History tells us that after the pope showed Aquinas all his diamonds, rubies, and gems, the pope boldly said "Preacher we've come a long way; No longer does the church have to say Silver and gold have I none." Aquinas replied "But neither can the church say with power in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk." 

     Like this ancient pope, churches today have silver, gold, air conditioners, padded pews, carpet on the floors, cameras, and lights. But the church needs God's power to effectively witness, heal, and win lost souls to our Lord Jesus. Saints we need to get in our prayer closets and pray like Peter for the power of God to manifest greatly in our churches so saints can say to lost sinners in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth be saved, rise up, and walk..

4) Be Like Elijah And Jesus; Pray Privately To Witness God's Power Publicly

     The fourth way to have power with God is to be like Elijah and Jesus who prayed privately before witnessing God's power publicly. Because Elijah prayed privately God performed a miracle publicly before 450 false prophets of Baal and 400 false prophets of the groves by consuming a sacrifice with fire. Elijah prayed at 1 Kings 18:37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, He is the God; The Lord, He is the God. 

     Like Elijah, learn to pray privately before you preach publicly (asking other saints to pray privately for your future public sermon) and the power of God will occur when you preach publicly with souls getting saved, healings, and miracles. Remember the victory over the devil is won or lost before you get into the pulpit to preach. Learn this lesson preachers everywhere; Don't wait until the last minute to pray with others before you preach. Have many christians praying for your prayer meetings before you preach so God's power can occur where the devil will be defeated. 

     History tells us that whenever DL Moody or J Wilbur Chapman preached, hundreds of christian prayer warriors would be in the basement or underneath a tent constantly praying while Moody or Chapman preached. The result was that thousands of lost souls were saved for Jesus with many miraculous healings. 

     Be like Jesus who prayed privately all night and witnessed the power of God publicly. Luke 6:12 says And it came to pass in those days, that He (Jesus) went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. Notice the result of Jesus' private prayer where the power of God was manifested publicly (Everyone who sought Jesus the next day got healed). Luke 6:19 says And the whole multitude sought to touch Him (Jesus): for there went virtue out of Him, and healed them all. Notice that wherever Jesus went, everyone who sought Jesus got totally healed.

5) Let Your Church Be Like A Delivery Room Instead Of A Funeral Parlor

     The fifth way to have power with God is to let your church be like a delivery room instead of a funeral parlor. Saints should be like a woman in a delivery room praying for the salvation of her newborn baby. Saints should be like the father waiting to rejoice while praying before his baby appears. Like these parents in the delivery room, saints should be praying for the salvation of lost souls and rejoice when anyone gets saved and gives their life to the Lord Jesus. Right now Brother Bob like the parents in the delivery room is praying that anyone reading this will get saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. 

     Pastors reading this, don't have a dead, formalistic, ritualistic, religious church without the power of God. Don't have the same program every Sunday where everyone knows exactly what will occur at your church. Don't limit the power of God in your church by allowing discrimination, jealousy, and pride to ruin your church. Instead let the power of God occur in every church service through prayer and the preaching about the Lord Jesus, the cross, and the blood of Jesus where the love of God will be manifested with souls getting saved

Don't Have A Maximum Of Organization Where The Power Of God Is Minimum

Instead Let The Power Of God Be Maximum Where The Organization Is Minimum

     Like the parents in the delivery room travail in prayer for lost souls and ask the Lord Jesus to bring forth children unto God. Isaiah 66:8 says For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. Saints we represent Zion and we need to travail for lost sinners everywhere that they will get saved by our witness about the Lord Jesus. If saints everywhere will begin to pray (travail) for lost sinners, children will be brought forth into the kingdom of God. 

     Lord Jesus I pray in Jesus name that you give everyone reading this a burden for lost sinners to get saved where we say like Rachel at Genesis 30:1 Give me children, or else I die. Remember Mark 8:36 says For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? One lost soul that gets saved is worth more than all the riches (gold, silver, and billions of dollars) in this fading world.

6) Forsake And Deny The World To Get Power With God

     The sixth way to get power with God is to forsake and deny the world. James 4:4 says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Instead of wasting time with the fading pleasures of this world, devote your time to Jesus, the Word, the church, preaching, and prayer for lost souls through witnessing. Paul told us that the power of God is not by man's worldly wisdom at 1 Corinthians 2:4 that says And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

John Wesley Said Whatever Cools My Affection For Jesus Is The Enemy (World)

     Don't be like the children of Israel who lost the power of God by desiring in their hearts to return to Egypt (a type of the world). Acts 7:39 tells us To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust Him (Jesus) from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt (a type of the world). Today saved christians act like these children of Israel and lose the power of God by appearing outwardly clean while in their hearts they desire to return to the beer joint, pool hall, and the casino. 

     Deny this world and remember Paul's advice at Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

     I had the honor of preaching at Pastor Jones church called Pure Faith Ministries on 7/2/23.      Remember to bless the poor to receive great peace. Daniel 4:27 says Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness (trusting in Jesus who is righteousness), and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility (defined as lengthening your peace and prosperity when you shew mercy to the poor). Proverbs 19:17 promises He that hath pity on the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Notice that if you have pity (not pay) poor people by considering and listening to the poor (pick up the phone and say an encouraging word to a poor person) you are on God's time clock and God will pay you for your mercy. 

     Remember be like Jesus who after taking 7 steps down was blessed to take 7 steps up. Philippians 2:7 lists the 7 steps down saying (1) But made Himself of no reputation (2) and took upon Him the form of a servant (3) and was made in the likeness of men. (4) And being found in fashion as a man (5) He humbled Himself (6) and became obedient unto death (7) even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:9 lists the 7 steps up and the blessed payoff Jesus received saying (1) Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him (2) and given Him a name which is above every name (3) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow (4) of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. (5) And that every tongue should confess (6) that Jesus Christ is Lord (7) to the glory of God the Father.

Before I List The Ways To Miss Heaven

Remember That Jesus Is The Only Way To Heaven

     There are many ways to miss heaven but only one way through Jesus Christ to get to heaven. Jesus said at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Acts 4:12 says Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name (Jesus) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Just have faith in the finished work that Jesus did at the cross of Calvary (not your good works) and you will go to heaven. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith (in Jesus alone); and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Right now make sure that you're saved and going to heaven with Jesus when you leave this world. 2 Peter 1:10 says Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. The most important thing on this earth to be sure about is knowing that you'll go to heaven after you leave this world. More than knowing that you have your rent or house payment ready this month, be more sure that you're going to heaven when you leave this world. More than knowing that you went to the BMV to get your drivers license current, be more sure that you got your name in the book of life and that you're going to heaven when you leave this world.

 

Avoid These Ways To Miss Heaven

1) Trusting In Church Membership To Get To Heaven

     The first way to miss heaven is trusting only in your church membership to get you to heaven. Being a Catholic, Methodist, or Presbyterian won't get you to heaven. Trusting in a religion won't get you to heaven. It takes a relationship with Jesus to get you to heaven. Attending church every Sunday of your life won't save you and get you to heaven. Judas Iscariot, who is the Son of Perdition, attended church with Jesus and went to his own place in the bottomless pit noted at Acts 1:25 and missed heaven. 

     Judas is the devil in the flesh. Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 1:25 says That he (Matthias) may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place (note that Judas who is the Son of Perdition beast antichrist went to the bottomless pit and is also called Abaddon and Apollyon; Perdition, Abaddon, and Apollyon all mean destruction; Revelation 9:11). Judas Iscariot who is the beast antichrist was, and is not, and yet is (Revelation 17:8).

     Someone could belong to every church in America and die without God and go to hell. Someone could be baptized thousands of times in a lake and go down a dry devil and then come up a wet devil and die without God and miss heaven. Remember we sing Amazing grace how sweet the sound; Not Amazing baptism how sweet the splash. We sing At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light; Not At the millpond, at the millpond where I first got dunked. We sing What can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus; Not What can wash away my sins, nothing but the water. The thief on the cross by Jesus didn't get baptized in water (he was dry cleaned), but instead by faith trusted only in Jesus and received salvation.

Just because I walk into a garage doesn't make me a car

Just because I walk into a barn doesn't make me a mule

Just because I walk into a bakery doesn't make me a donut

(I might look like one but it doesn't make me a donut)

And just because I walk into a church doesn't make me a christian

     I'm not a christian because I go to church. I go to church because I am a christian. Going to church is important but going to church without trusting in the Lord Jesus won't save anyone. Only faith in Jesus gets anyone to heaven. Trust Jesus and go to heaven; Trust anything else and go to hell. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     After salvation with Jesus, attending church is important to get victory over this troubled world. Prayers by groups of christians are more powerful than the prayers of only one christian. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Deuteronomy 32:30 says How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight; except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 

Avoid These Ways To Miss Heaven

2) Doing The Best You Can With Good Works To Get To Heaven

     The second way to miss heaven is doing the best you can with good works to get to heaven without faith in Jesus. The best anyone could possibly do without Jesus falls short when it comes to going to heaven. Psalm 39:5 says Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity; Selah. 

     Doing the best you can without Jesus won't get you to heaven. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. When you ask most people if they're going to heaven, they'll reply I'm doing the best I can; I'm not killing anyone or doing a wicked ungodly vile sin; I hope I'm going to heaven. I'm trusting in my good works to get me to heaven. All these ways by man will not get him to heaven. 

     Galatians 2:21 says I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. If our good works saved us, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross for our sins to save us by grace. God doesn't want us to boast about our good works; Instead God wants us to boast about Jesus and praise Jesus for allowing His blood to wash away our sins unto salvation. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 

     Three people went to heaven. The first man told God "I've been a good person and gave away thousands of dollars to the poor." God said "Cast this man into hell." The second man said "I attended church every Sunday and did many good deeds." God said "Cast this man into hell." Then the third man said "God I'm a sinner that trusted in the blood of Jesus to wash away all my sins and get me to heaven." God said Matthew 25:23 Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 

     Most people think that after we leave this world, God weighs on a scale our good works versus our bad works and whatever weighs the most determines if you go to heaven or hell. I'm glad this isn't the way to heaven because everyone's bad works always outweigh their good works. 

     Romans 7:18 says For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. But rejoice if you're saved because Jesus' righteousness will always tilt the scale where your good works will outweigh your bad works allowing you to enter heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says For He (the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Avoid These Ways To Miss Heaven

3) Trusting In An Organization Like The Masonic Lodge To Get To Heaven

     The third way to miss heaven is trusting in an organization like the Masonic Lodge without Jesus to get to heaven. Becoming a member of the Moose, Goose, Elks, Shriners, or the Masonic Lodge without Jesus won't get you to heaven. People will go to a Lodge instead of church saying that their good works in the Lodge to give food and clothes to orphans and homeless people will get them to heaven. It's good that the Lodge and the Shriners help people everywhere with money from charity. But doing good works in a Lodge won't save anyone and get them to heaven. 

Jesus didn't die for the Lodge

Jesus died for the church

     Remember the Moose Lodge might feed people and build hospitals, but the Moose Lodge and the Masons won't help anyone after they die. Freemasonry is just a fraternal organization of men who share values, traditions, and rituals. On the other hand, the church and anointed preachers are in the business of helping people after they leave this world that is so much better than any Lodge.

     My advice to anyone is to beware of the Masons and the Masonic Lodge. The top leaders of the Masons worship the devil. One of the worst devil worshippers named Aleister Crowley was a Freemason. Even though the Masonic Lodge does good deeds with Shriners, they require their members to keep secrets and only do favors for rich influential members of their Lodge. Christians should not belong to any organization that requires you to keep secrets and respect only certain groups of people with discrimination. Christians should witness openly showing the love of Jesus to all people without discrimination in the light with no secrets about Jesus, salvation, and the Word of God. Jesus Himself said at John 18:20 in secret have I said nothing.

     John 3:19 warns us to avoid Masons and Lodges that do evil deeds in secret to influence wealthy businessmen and control society. John 3:19 describes Masonic Lodges saying And this is the condemnation, that Light (Jesus) is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. After reading these warnings about Masonic Lodges, my advice to anyone that belongs to a Masonic Lodge is to quit. 

Avoid These Ways To Miss Heaven

4) Trying To Keep The 10 Commandments To Get To Heaven

     The fourth way to miss heaven is trying to keep the 10 commandments to get to heaven. James 2:10 says For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. According to the Word of God, if you have a hateful thought about anyone you are a murderer. 1 John 3:15 says Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 

     If you have a lustful thought about a woman, you are guilty of adultery. Jesus said at Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. If you ever tell a lie, you are guilty of bearing false witness against thy neighbor. After reading this you should realize that under the law and the 10 commandments with man it's impossible to get saved. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. 

     But rejoice because when you get saved with Jesus, you are free from the curse of the law and the blood of Jesus removes the guilt of all your past sins. Galatians 3:13 says Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 10:4 says For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another; and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Rejoice and say John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Choose The Strait Narrow Way (Jesus) To Get To Heaven

     Avoid the many wide broad ways to miss heaven; Choose the strait narrow Way (Jesus) to get to heaven. Matthew 7:13 says Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 

     Notice the incredible picture above by Preeti Shinde where a strait narrow gate climbing to faith only in the cross of Jesus will get us to heaven instead of the easy wide broad gate with the pleasure of sin for a season that leads to eternal destruction in the lake of fire. Remember choose faith in Jesus only trusting daily that the cross of Jesus can remove all your problems. Only faith in Jesus can take you to heaven instead of the false broad ways of religion and good works.

Don't Procrastinate And Make Excuses

     Don't procrastinate and make excuses. Procrastinate means to delay or postpone anything. Don't procrastinate and put off until tomorrow what you ought to do today. Procrastination is the enemy of success. Proverbs 27:1 says Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Don't brag about what you'll do tomorrow because you don't know what a day may bring forth. 

     Instead live one day at a time being thankful for your daily food, clothing, and shelter saying if the Lord will, I will do this, or that. James 4:13 says Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

They asked Alexander the Great after conquering the world at age 30

How did you conquer the world at such a young age?

His answer was by not delaying; I just went ahead and did it

     Be like Alexander the Great and don't delay getting saved with Jesus. Don't procrastinate and put off salvation until a later date. Just do it right now before it's too late. It's so easy to get saved and it's the most important decision you'll ever make on this earth. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says For He (Jesus) saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Hebrews 3:15 says While it is said, To day if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation (time of rebellion). Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. 

Don't Join The Procrastinator Club

Instead Get Saved Right Now With Our Lord Jesus

     Don't join the procrastinator club that currently exists and delay getting saved with Jesus. The rules of the procrastinator club are as follows: 1) They have a yearly meeting that is always a week late. 2) If you pay your dues on time they kick you out of the club. 3) Their motto is Anything worth doing is worth putting off. 4) They celebrate Christmas during June and the Fourth of July during January. 5) Finally they have a National Snail race every year. The snail that crosses the finish line last will be declared the winner. I just had to add this humor: Why did the snail paint an S on his racecar ( a blessed word that is spelled the same forwards and backwards)? So when he drove by, people could rejoice and say Wow Look at the escargot (S car go).

That Lived By The Mount Pelee Volcano Pictured Above In 1902

     Don't procrastinate like the people on Caribbean Martinique island that lived by the Mount Pelee volcano. In 1902 the city of Saint Pierre was located below the Mount Pelee volcano on the French Martinique island. On May 8, 1902 at 8:02 AM the Mount Pelee volcano erupted and destroyed the city of Saint Pierre and 28000 residents lost their lives. 

     Note though that all the residents of Saint Pierre were warned for an entire week before May 8, 1902 that Mount Pelee was going to blow up but no one listened. For an entire week, everyone in Saint Pierre was told Mount Pelee is gonna blow. But all the people in this city said "Well it didn't blow up yesterday; It didn't blow up today; When I look around my neighbors aren't scared; I don't see anyone moving out so I'm not moving out." And 28000 people died because they procrastinated and didn't listen to warnings to move out to safety. 

     Right now like the people of Saint Pierre, multitudes of people on this earth are planning on going to heaven and avoiding hell but they delay getting saved so they can enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season. Billions of people on this earth are saying "I feel fine, I'm healthy, the sun is shining outside, all my bills are paid, and I don't need Jesus right now." But Jesus warns us in the bible that after death without Jesus people will go to hell and suffer eternal destruction. Jesus warned us at Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him (Jesus) which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

     Some things get procrastinated with no consequences. People who dread completing taxes procrastinate and wait until April 14 to complete their taxes for the IRS. People procrastinate and wait two months to mow their lawn while others procrastinate and wait an extra week to do the laundry. But you don't want to procrastinate and put off getting saved with Jesus. You could put off getting saved with Jesus one day too many where like Esau you can't find a place of repentance to get saved though you seek it carefully with tears (Hebrews 12:17). Get saved right now with Jesus and escape eternal torment and destruction in hell and the lake of fire.

Excuses By Procrastinators That Delay Salvation With Jesus

1) God hasn't spoken to me yet to get saved

     The first excuse procrastinators say to delay salvation with Jesus is God hasn't spoken to me yet to get saved. Tell these people that God is speaking to you right now through his Word. Isaiah 55:6 says Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near. In other words one day God might not be found and one day God might not be near, so get saved right now. Isaiah 55:7 says Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Excuses By Procrastinators That Delay Salvation With Jesus

2) I can't get saved because I'm living with my girlfriend or boyfriend who's not saved

     The second excuse procrastinators say to delay salvation with Jesus is "I can't get saved because I'm living with my girlfriend or boyfriend who's not saved." These people will say "I know that it's wrong to live together outside of marriage but I love him or her and I don't want to leave them." Tell these people that there's nobody worth going to hell for. Tell them to get saved and get married for Jesus and raise kids for Jesus. Tell them to follow the blessed correct roadmap instructions of the KJV bible for peace at Hebrews 13:4 that says Marriage (between a man and woman; not a man with a man or a woman with a woman) is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. 

     Tell these procrastinators, that a woman at the well lived with six men and got saved by Jesus. You're not disqualified from getting saved because you had an affair with someone for years before marriage. The blood of Jesus will wash away your prior sins to be remembered no more. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 22:17 says And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

3) I'm not ready to get saved

     The third excuse procrastinators say to delay salvation with Jesus is "I'm not ready to get saved." You won't get much of anything done until you do it before you're ready. Jesus is always ready to save everyone and it doesn't matter if you're not ready to get saved or how you feel. 2 Peter 3:9 says The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Don't wait and procrastinate to get saved. You better get saved before you're ready or it might be too late to get saved. People spend four years in college for a career that lasts around fifty years but they won't take five minutes to decide where they'll spend eternity. Get saved today..

Excuses By Procrastinators That Delay Salvation With Jesus

4) I can't get saved and lose the fun of riches, drugs, alcohol, and partying

     The fourth excuse procrastinators say to delay salvation with Jesus is "I can't get saved and lose the fun of riches, drugs, alcohol, and partying." Tell these people that the pleasure of sin with fun is only for a season and ends in misery (Hebrews 11:25). On the other hand the joy with Jesus after salvation is forever and better than any earthly pleasure. Psalm 16:11 says Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence (Jesus) is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. 

     Don't procrastinate about your salvation with Jesus. Read the following story about the picture above where the captain on a ship took the treasure he discovered on an island and hid it under his bed in the bottom of a ship. Several days later the ship began to sink and all the crew members got on lifeboats. But the captain went down to get his treasure under his bed at the bottom of the ship. After the captain grabbed his treasure when he came up on the deck of the ship, all the lifeboats were gone. And the ship went down; the captain, treasure, and everything on the ship.

     Don't be like this captain and hold onto something to stop you from getting saved with Jesus. Don't hold on to smoking pot, drinking beer, or living with a man or woman outside of marriage to stop you from getting saved. Don't go down with the ship. You better let go of that sin and get saved with Jesus right now. Remember you don't straighten out your life and then come to Jesus. You first come to Jesus with your problems and then you let God straighten out your life and save you. 

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today

     Abraham Lincoln said "You can not escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." If you have problems, get saved today with Jesus and go to church. Don't say I can't get saved because I have to work on Sundays. You can get saved while working on your job on Sunday morning or Sunday evening. 

     If you need healed from a sickness, get saved and healed with Jesus who is the balm of Gilead (medicine in the Rock). Jeremiah 46:11 says Go ye up into Gilead (The Rock Jesus), and take balm (medicine from Dr. Jesus by looking to the cross of Calvary saying I am crucified with Jesus Christ daily where your sickness will be healed and removed), O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.

     Blessings always happen when Jesus passes by. I've never met a person that regretted having Jesus in their life. Jesus always makes a person better and changes their sinful life into a blessed joyful life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Psalm 16:11 says Thou (Jesus) wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Right now let Jesus bless you with everlasting peace.      Blessings happened when Jesus passed by the blind Jewish boy. John 9:1 says And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. John 9:6 goes on to say When He (Jesus) had thus spoken, He spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle, and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. 

     Every day say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and Jesus will remove your worry, fear, and sickness and heal you from the cross of Calvary that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. When Jesus passed by the blind Jewish boy, He created two new eyes from clay. When Jesus healed Malchus (the Roman soldier injured by Peter in the garden of Gethsemane), He created a new ear or reattached his injured ear after it hopped onto his head from the ground. Remember it's not getting religion or turning over a new leaf that brings blessings. It's Jesus that brings the blessings.

Blessings Happened When Jesus Passed By The Widow Of Nain

     Blessings happened when Jesus passed by the widow of Nain. Luke 7:11 says And it came to pass the day after, that He (Jesus) went into a city called Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and much people. Now when He came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. Luke 7:13 goes on to say And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And He came and touched the bier (coffin): and they that bare him stood still. And He said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And He delivered him to his mother.

     No one ever died in the presence of the Lord Jesus. And if a person was dead when they met Jesus, the dead person rose from the dead and became alive like Lazarus, Jairus' daughter, and the widow of Nain's son. If Jesus said come forth instead of Lazarus, come forth all the dead people in the graves would have risen and come alive. The two thieves on the cross did not die until after Jesus gave up the ghost. The thieves died when their legs were broken after Jesus died. The Roman soldiers did not break Jesus' legs to fulfill the prophecy of Psalm 34:20. He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken. 

After The Widow Of Nain's Son Got Healed When Jesus Passed By She Said

What food is to the hungry man

What raindrops are to a thirsty land

What the leaves are to the tree

That's what Jesus is to me

Blessings Happened When Jesus Passed By Blind Bartimaeus

     Blessings happened when Jesus passed by blind Bartimaeus. Mark 10:46 says And they came to Jericho: and as He (Jesus) went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 

     Mark 10:48 says And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Be of good comfort, rise; He calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. 

     Matthew 20:30 says that two blind men were healed when Jesus passed by. Bartimaeus and another man were healed when Jesus passed by. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. 

     Like these two men, keep your eyes on Jesus and off the people while you keep shouting praises to Jesus and ignore the mocking and persecution from man. If you keep praising Jesus, you will get healed and the people that tried to silence you will also praise Jesus. Luke's account of this story tells us that the people that tried to silence Bartimaeus praised Jesus after Bartimaeus got healed. Luke 18:43 says And immediately he (Bartimaeus) received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God. 

     Matthew 20:32 says And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him. Note that when anyone is in the presence of Jesus, they will get healed. When you get saved, Jesus lives in you and will heal you. Colossians 1:27 says To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

That's what Jesus is to me

Jesus Is The Greatest Doctor Of All Time Because

Everyone Got Healed When They Met Jesus

No One Failed To Get Healed When They Got Around Jesus

     Jesus is the greatest doctor of all time because everyone got healed when they met Jesus. Blind, deaf, dumb, crippled, lame, and people with any sickness all got healed instantly when they got near or in the presence of our Lord Jesus. This is why crowds and multitudes of people tried to get near Jesus to receive total healing from any sickness. Luke 4:40 says Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto Him (Jesus); and He laid His hands on every one of them, and healed them. Note that Jesus healed everyone. There never was a person that failed to get a healing when they were around Jesus. Matthew 9:35 proves that Jesus heals every sickness and disease saying And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Blessings Happened When Jesus Passed By The Woman At The Well

     Blessings happened when Jesus passed by the woman at the well. When Jesus asked this woman for a drink of water, the woman of Samaria replied at John 4:9 How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldst have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water. 

     Like Jesus who loved the Samaritan woman that the Jews despised, love all people without prejudice or discrimination. 1 John 4:20 says If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?   

     Notice that when the woman asked Jesus for the living water, Jesus told her about her sin of living with six men that needed repentance before salvation and living water. John 4:15 says The woman saith unto Him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband. For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

     Notice that once the woman at the well realized her sin of living with a sixth man outside of marriage, she repented and got gloriously saved. Remember repentance and turning away from your past sins is required before salvation. 2 Corinthians 7:10 says For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. After the woman at the well repented, she left her waterpot at the well because she found the living water Jesus. 

     Notice also that after salvation, christians will want to tell everyone about Jesus. This saved woman at the well who was a harlot preached Jesus to multitudes of men in Samaria (some who she had slept with). John 4:28 says The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and come unto Him. This whore took these men to Jesus for salvation. Jesus said at Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. 

Blessings Happened When Jesus Passed By A Little Boy's Mean Father

     Blessings happened when Jesus passed by a little boy's mean father. This mean father used to get drunk, curse all the time, and yell at his dog. But one day Jesus passed by this mean father and saved his soul. After salvation, this saved father took his little boy to church every Sunday. The little boy's father rejoiced and leaped for joy every Sunday at church. 

     But one Sunday the deacon pictured above told the little boy "Your daddy is just dreaming." The little boy replied "Please Mr. Deacon, if he's dreaming, please don't wake him up. Because when he was awake, he used to drink, curse, and be mean to everyone. So please Mr. Deacon, if he's dreaming, please don't wake him up. Just leave him alone." 

     Friends, this old world thinks that saved christians rejoicing about Jesus are just dreaming and crazy. Brother Bob says reply to these lost sinners "If I'm dreaming, please don't wake me up. Just leave me alone. Because Jesus is better than anything that this world has to offer."
