How To Stop Worrying
1) Remember The Word Of God And Jesus' Promises That Remove Worrying
The first way to stop worrying is to remember the Word of God and Jesus' promises that remove worrying. Jesus said at John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (Remember God's retirement benefits with Jesus and you won't worry). In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Receive the peace promised by Jesus to stop worrying. Jesus promised us at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says Now The Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. Rejoice and stop worrying because Jesus' peace passes all understanding according to Philippians 4:7 that says And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
George Muller
A Man That Listened To God And Had All His Prayers Answered
Let's learn from history's man of faith George Muller who listened to God and had all his prayers answered. George Muller started an orphanage in Bristol, England during the 1800s after 26 orphan children were left abandoned at his doorstep. Eventually by faith George Muller took care of 10000 orphan children at his blessed orphanage (2100 orphans every year) for 40 years. For 40 years, none of the orphans ever lacked food, clothing, shelter, or education. And 163 of the 10000 orphans became missionaries that traveled to foreign lands to preach the gospel and win souls.
During George Muller's life, George read and memorized the KJV bible from cover to cover 200 times (100 times on his knees). George listened to God daily by reading and memorizing the bible, and therefore God listened to George and answered and granted over 50000 prayer requests. George made a catalog of all his 50000 prayers and told no one during his life about these noted prayers.
After George Muller died, his notebook was found with 50000 specific prayer requests and the day God answered each of the 50000 prayer requests. George Muller said he couldn't remember any of his prayers that God did not answer. Because George Muller listened to God, the Lord Jesus allowed George to print 111 million gospel tracts, and God gave George Muller over 5 million dollars for his orphanages.
George Muller never asked for money from individuals. Instead he prayed specifically and waited for God to move people to give. For example he once received an exact amount of money from a friend who felt led by God to give the exact amount of money that George Muller was praying about. On a morning when there was no money for breakfast, George Muller went for a walk in the woods to pray. A friend met him on a road he hadn't planned to take and handed him the exact amount of money needed for the breakfast meal just in time to feed the children in the orphanage.
When a boiler broke during the freezing winter of December 1857, Muller prayed for two things: that the repairmen would be willing to work through the night and that the weather would stay mild. Both were answered when the workers volunteered to stay late, and a warm south wind blew until the heat was restored.
While George Muller was traveling to Quebec by ship, a dense fog halted the vessel. George Muller told the captain that he had an engagement he could not break and asked to pray. After a simple prayer, George Muller told the captain not to pray because the captain didn't believe God would do it. When they stepped back on the deck, the fog had completely lifted, allowing the ship to arrive on time.
About 30000 of George Muller's recorded prayer requests were granted the same day and hour that they were prayed. Some of his prayer requests were answered years later. But eventually all of George Muller's prayer requests were granted. George Muller said "There was a day that I utterly died to George Muller and his opinions, preferences, tastes, and will. Died to the world, its approval or censure, and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God."
George Muller prayed daily for the conversion of five friends. One became a christian after five years, two others after ten years, and the fourth after 25 years. He prayed for the fifth friend for 63 years, and the man finally converted and became a christian shortly after George Muller's funeral.
George Muller trusted daily that the Lord Jesus would provide food for thousands of orphans that he cared for. One morning there was no food or milk for 300 children. George Muller had the children sit at the tables with empty plates and thanked God for the meal. Shortly thereafter, a baker knocked on the door, saying God had woken him up at 2:00 a.m. in the morning to bake bread for the orphanage. Minutes later, a milkman's cart broke down directly in front of the orphanage. The milkman gave all his milk to the children so he could repair his cart.
The opposite of worry is faith. George Muller said that the beginning of worry is the end of faith and that the beginning of faith is the end of worry. In other words faith in the Lord Jesus stops worrying and gives peace to overcome the troubles of this world. Romans 5:1 promises Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Every day see your problems and fears disappear on the cross of Jesus by faith saying I am crucified with Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. Right now defeat worry, get saved by faith and receive peace from Jesus to overcome any problem in this world. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.
A Blessed Poem Telling Us To Stop Worrying
Don't worry about what you eat; Don't worry about shoes on your feet
Don't worry about a place to stay; Let Jesus take your troubles away
Don't worry in the book of Matthew Chapter Six; Jesus preached our worries He'll fix
He said I care for the birds and the flowers too and I'll take care of you
Blessed Sayings To Help You Stop Worrying
Read Jane's Response Below To The Question What Do You Worry About?
Jane said I don't have a house; I don't have to worry about that
I don't have a car; I don't have to worry about that
I don't have any furniture; I don't have to worry about that
If I die I'll go home to be with Jesus so I don't have to worry about that
Therefore, I ain't got nothing to worry about
Remember there's nothing to worry about until there's something to worry about
Stuff in this world makes people worry. Instead follow Paul's advice at 1 Timothy 6:6 and rejoice with the peace of Jesus. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
The Best Way To Stop Worrying Is To Start Praying
The cure for worrying is to start praying. In other words to defeat worry, don't react to your problems without prayer. Instead pray and ask Jesus how to solve all your problems. Philippians 4:6 says Be careful for nothing (don't worry); but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Jesus either answers Yes with Peace to your requests or No with No Peace to your requests.
According To Philippians 4:6
Bother God About Everything
Or
Everything Will Bother You
Let Go And Let God; Let God Handle All Your Problems
Worry Is Like A Rocking Chair
It Gives You Something To Do But It Doesn't Get You Anywhere
Instead Stop Worrying About What Can Go Wrong
And Get Excited About What Can Go Right
1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon Him (Jesus); for He careth for you. In other words don't hold onto your problems and worry handing each one slowly to Jesus. Instead quickly throw and cast by faith all your worries and problems as far as you can to the cross of Jesus and Jesus will catch them and fix them. And according to Psalm 34:8 you will taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.
Remember we are in this world with Jesus but we are not of this world. According to Hebrews 11:13 with Jesus we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth traveling to our heavenly home with Jesus. Jesus told us at John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. In other words you cannot keep birds from flying over your head (with the troubles of this world) but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair (where the blood of Jesus will overcome the devil and the worries of this world).
Don't Worry; Be Like The Birds; Birds Have Bills But They Keep On Singing
If Jesus Takes Care Of The Sparrows; Jesus Will Take Care Of You
Matthew 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows
How To Stop Worrying
2) Don't Worry About The Future Or Tomorrow
Instead Live For Today According To The Will Of God
Most people worry about the future and tomorrow. To stop worrying take one day at a time rejoicing by faith that Jesus promised to fix all your problems and supply all your needs. James 4:13 says Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
Don't Ruin Today By Worrying About Tomorrow
The bible tells us not to worry about the future and tomorrow. Proverbs 27:1 says Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Matthew 6:34 says Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Instead place Jesus first in your life witnessing daily about Jesus, going to church, and studying God's Word, and Jesus will fix all your problems and remove all worries. Matthew 6:33 says But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Don't Worry About The Future
Instead Rejoice About The Future
Where We Will Rejoice In Peace With Jesus In The Kingdom Forever
Don't worry about the future. Rejoice because the future is looking pretty good for christians with Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. And 2 Peter 1:4 says Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Don't worry about the future. Rejoice about the future because today and billions of years from now saved saints will always be running and leaping for joy down the kingdom of God's street of gold that is transparent glass pictured above worshipping the Lord Jesus where there will be no night, no death, no sorrow, no crying, no pain, and no devil. There will always be joy, peace, and happiness forever. Revelation 21:4 says And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Get your eyes off your troubles and worries in this world. By faith obey Colossians 3:2 and Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Remember 2 Corinthians 4:18 says While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. And according to 1 Peter 1:8 when you rejoice in the unseen eternal promises of heaven, note the following promise. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Stop Worrying And Sing Saved By Grace By Fanny Crosby
Fanny Crosby wrote the hymn Saved By Grace to help people stop worrying. Fanny Crosby was a blessed christian who was blind and wrote 9000 hymns (Blessed Assurance, To God Be The Glory, and Near The Cross are some of Fanny's blessed hymns). Fanny would visit Jerry McCauley's mission in New York City and comfort homeless people by singing her blessed hymns. While attending a DL Moody revival meeting, when they asked Fanny Crosby why she wrote Saved By Grace, Fanny gave the following testimony. Fanny said, "One hymn I wrote called Saved By Grace has never been published; I call it my souls poem. Sometimes when I'm troubled to remove worry, I repeat it to myself for it brings comfort to my soul." I pray in Jesus name that anyone who sings the blessed words below of Saved By Grace will overcome all their worries and troubles in this world. Jesus bless you all.
Some day the silver cord will break; And I no more as now shall sing
But Oh the joy when I shall wake; Within the palace of the King
And I shall see Him face to face; And tell the story saved by grace
And I shall see Him face to face; And tell the story saved by grace
Some day my earthly house will fall; I cannot tell how soon twill be
But this I know my All in All; Has now a place in heaven for me
Some day when fades the golden sun; Beneath the rosy tinted west
My blessed Lord will say well done; And I shall enter into rest
Some day till then I watch and wait; My lamp all trimmed and burning bright
That when my Saviour opes the gate; My soul to Him may take its flight
I pray this bible study in Jesus name removes worry from anyone who reads it. Feel free to email Brother Bob anytime at rz9tlm@gmail.com or write to Brother Bob Malkin, 2233 Pinetree Lane, Apt.
