Let's look at some more goings forth of Jesus. Pictured above we see another goings forth of our Lord Jesus when Jesus (the capital A Angel of the Lord) went before Moses and the children of Israel in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to give them light to travel by day and night. This capital A Angel of the Lord that led Moses and the children of Israel was the Lord Jesus because this Angel of the Lord had the power to pardon transgressions.
Exodus 23:20 speaks about this Angel of the Lord who was the Lord Jesus who forgives sins and says Behold, I send (a capital A )Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him, and obey His voice, provoke Him not; for He will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in Him. This scripture is saying to beware, fear, and obey this Angel of the Lord who is the Lord Jesus who can pardon transgressions.
Exodus 23:22 goes on to say But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine (capital A) Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
Jesus is the capital A Angel of the Lord who is God having the power to forgive sins. Jesus proved He is God that forgives sins when He said to the man sick of the palsy at Matthew 9:2 Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. The scribes responded to Jesus at Mark 2:7 saying Why doth this man speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? Then Jesus proved to the scribes that He is God who forgives sins by healing the man sick of the palsy proving that the healing of the soul is more important than the healing of the body. The healing of the body is important but Jesus showed us that it is more important to rejoice with good cheer when we save and win souls to the kingdom of God.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again
The Rock that Moses smote was Jesus because 1 Corinthians 10:4 says And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. God had Moses initially smite the Rock Jesus once because Jesus at the cross of Calvary was smitten one time for our sins. Romans 6:10 says For in that He died, He died unto sin once (not many times): but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Hebrews 10:12 says But this man (Jesus), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. After Jesus died once on the cross for our sins, Jesus did not have to be smitten or sacrificed any more for our sins.
God was telling Moses smite the Rock Jesus only one time to remove sins. But when Moses disobeyed God and smote the Rock Jesus twice, Moses could not enter the promised land because he disobeyed God's instructions to speak to and not smite the Rock Jesus a second time. Hebrews 12:11 says And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But our high priest Jesus' one offering (not many offerings) and sacrificial death at the cross of Calvary removed our sins forever.
Hebrews 9:12 says Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He (Jesus) entered in once (not many times) into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
First God told Moses to smite the Rock at Exodus 17:6 that says Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the Rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the Rock and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. But the next time the people wanted water from the Rock, God told Moses to speak to and not smite the Rock.
The second time God told Moses to speak to and not smite the Rock is recorded at Numbers 20:7: And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye (notice God told Moses to speak to and not smite the Rock) unto the Rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth His water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the Rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
Moses disobeyed God's command and Numbers 20:11 says And Moses lifted up his hand and with his rod he smote the Rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

You might say Brother Bob why are you posting a picture above of a remote monastery built on a Rock that is accessible only by an aerial tramway? The reason is to prove that our bodies are the temple of the living God that needs to be built upon the Rock Jesus to live and have peace. Daily with your hearts, look by faith to Jesus Christ crucified while you build your house by faith on the Rock Jesus, telling the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:20) and the blood of Jesus has overcome and defeated you devil forevermore (Revelation 12:11). Jesus said at Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a Rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a Rock (Jesus).
Our Rock Jesus is not like the other rocks of this world that people worship. Their rock is not as our Rock Jesus. Deuteronomy 32:30 says How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up? For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. Our Rock Jesus is greater than any other rock in this world. 1 John 4:4 says Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He (Jesus) that is in you, than he that is in the world. Pictured above we see that our Rock Jesus encouraged us and said at Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this Rock (Jesus) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (the Rock Jesus).
Jesus is called the captain (general commander) of the Lord's host (army of angels). James 5:4 tells us that Jesus is the Lord of sabaoth (captain general over an army host of angels). Psalm 91:11 says For He (Jesus) shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
The scripture that talks about captain Jesus who is the God man that appeared to Joshua is at Joshua 5:13: And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And He said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship (notice Joshua worshipped captain Jesus who is God), and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? And the captain of the Lord's host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.
When Joshua asked captain Jesus, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? Jesus responded and told Joshua, Son I didn't come to take sides, I came to take over. And Jesus went forth with His angels as the captain of the Lord's host to win the victory for Joshua at the battle of Jericho where the walls of Jericho fell down (descended from a higher place to a lower place and sunk into the earth). Today at Jericho the walls exist and can be seen that were discovered by archeologist Kathleen Kenyon in the 1950s.

Now after Jesus won the victory for Joshua at the battle of Jericho, pictured above we see that the Lord Jesus gave Joshua great authority. Joshua said sun stand thou still upon Gibeon and the sun stood still in the midst of heaven. Then Joshua said moon stand thou still in the valley of Ajaon. God honored Joshua's prayer and the moon and the sun didn't move until God's people won the victory.
Joshua 10:12 says Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
Joshua 10:13 says And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.
Daniel 3:23 tells us how Jesus freed the three Hebrew boys from the burning fiery furnace. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered, and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Note that the KJV bible correctly says at Daniel 3:25 that Nebuchadnezzar saw a fourth man in the burning fiery furnace who is the Son of God (Jesus). Note that the corrupt translated NIV, RSV, ESV, and the New King James version with a corrupt footnote deny that Jesus, the Son of God, was the fourth man in the burning fiery furnace that freed the three Hebrew boys. These corrupt bible versions say that the fourth man in the burning fiery furnace was a son of the gods, denying that Jesus is the only begotten virgin born Son of God. Daniel 3:25 in the NIV says He said, Look. I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods. Don't preach or study from these corrupt bible translations. Only preach and study from a 1611 KJV bible.
Daniel 3:26 goes on to say Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Note that after Nebuchadnezzar sinned through pride, he became an animal for seven years that ate grass like oxen, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. But Nebuchadnezzar humbled himself, got saved, and became king again. Nebuchadnezzar is a child of God and is in heaven. Brother Bob wants to meet Nebuchadnezzar when he gets to heaven. Jesus said at Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Rejoice while you read Nebuchadnezzar's blessed praise after he got saved and worshipped our Lord Jesus. Daniel 4:34 says And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured Him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation. And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest thou?
Daniel 4:36 goes on to say At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of thy kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: and those that walk in pride He is able to abase.
Rejoice while you read these blessed sayings. When the Lord Jesus returns during the rapture, the dead in Christ will rise first and say O grave, where is thy victory? Then we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and say O death, where is thy sting? 1 Corinthians 15:55 says O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? We're getting out of here like Superman during the rapture, but we're coming back like the Lone Ranger on white horses to this earth after the seven year great tribulation period.
