Scientific Facts Proven By The Bible Before Man's Discovery

1) The Oldest Weather Forecast Ever

     Genesis 8:22 records the oldest weather forecast ever that was written in 1491 BC by Moses. Genesis 8:22 says While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. God's weather forecast is 3510 years old and has been consistently accurate every year. Every year we see seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night. And this weather pattern will not cease while the earth remaineth. So don't worry about global warming and climate change.

     Today climatologists use short 120 year records of weather patterns predicting that global warming and climate change will soon occur that could destroy our planet. Don't fear these climatologists: Fear God and believe God's accurate weather forecast that has been consistent for the last 3510 years. The polar vortex happened during January 2019 and Chicago, Illinois experienced a temperature of -30 degrees that was colder than Antarctica.

     Don't believe the climatologists. Believe God's 3510 year old weather forecast that has always worked consistently every year like clockwork. Every May of every single year we see the buds of daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses, and tulips appearing. Every May of every single year we see farmers everywhere drilling corn and wheat and planting peppers and cucumbers. God's weather forecast is an accurate scientific and prophetic fact that will continue while the earth remaineth.

2) There Are Springs In The Sea

     Four thousand years ago God told Job that there were springs in the sea. God didn't speak to Job for the first 37 chapters of Job. But then from Job 38-41 God asked Job 84 consecutive questions that Job could not answer. One of the questions was about the springs in the sea. God told Job at Job 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth? Man always thought that the seas were filled by rain and rivers. But God told Job that the seas were filled by springs of water on the ocean floor coming up into the sea.

     In 1960, Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard invented a submarine that could withstand 6000 pounds of pressure per square inch. They sent this submarine down to the ocean's floor in the Mariana Trench. When a light from the submarine lit up the ocean's floor, springs of water were found everywhere coming up into the sea. But God said 4000 years earlier that there were springs in the sea. This proves that the bible is accurate and the truth. The bible is not some fictitious book about fables, fairy tales, contradictions, and superstitions. Just do a google search on the internet for springs in the sea and see thousands of pictures of the springs in the sea.

     Just recently three mineral rich hot springs were discovered near the middle of the Atlantic Ocean floor by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. And several hot springs were discovered on the Pacific Ocean's floor. These hot springs of the sea occur where water bubbles out after being heated under the ocean floor where it also dissolves a wide variety of minerals. 

     And note that no man has ever reached the deepest depths of the ocean floor that is 37000 feet deep called the Challenger Deep located in the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean because the pressure there is too enormous. This is why God placed our sins in the deepest depths of the sea where no man could find them and God would remember them no more. 

     Job asked Hast thou walked in the search of the depth? In other words God has made it impossible for man to search for and walk in the deepest depths of the ocean. American oceanographer Don Walsh could not walk in search of the depths of the sea after his submarine touched down at 35000 feet below sea level while exploring the Mariana Trench. Don Walsh found fish at that level living in temperatures of 38 degrees but could not get out of the submarine and walk around the ocean's floor. God's Word is true. Hast thou walked in search of the depth? I don't think so. 

     I'm glad that God didn't place my sins on the backside of the moon. Man discovered the backside of the moon when some bird built a flying contraption and landed on the moon but man can't find my sins that Jesus placed in the lowest depths of the sea. This is why after salvation, God cast all our sins into the depths of the sea never to be remembered or found again by man. This is why Micah 7:19 says He (Jesus) will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 

     Soon God will remove the sea with our sins that will be forgotten and removed forever. Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. No more sea with its storms, scares from sharks and squids, or sin that separates us from God.

      When you get saved with the Lord Jesus your sins are forgotten forever and placed in the lowest depths of the sea that can not be found. Your sins are not floating on the surface of the sea where they can be found by man or God. Corrie Ten Boom said that God buries our sins in the depths of the sea and then puts up a sign that reads, "No fishing." Our sins separate us from God. But when you get saved with the Lord Jesus, your sins will be forgotten forever and the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all your sins that are placed in the undiscoverable lowest depths of the sea. 

Get saved today and receive eternal life

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning

Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel

That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

3 Light Can Part  

     Then God asked Job another question at Job 38:24. By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? God told Job that light can part. Man didn't know that light could part until Isaac Newton (1643-1727) discovered that if white light passes through a prism it will be parted into the seven different colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). 

4) Light Can Speak

     Then God asked Job another question at Job 38:35. Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are? God told Job that light can speak. Then man discovered that light can manifest itself in speech because light waves and radio waves are two forms of the same thing called electromagnetic waves. When you turn on a radio, whether its amplitude or frequency modulation (the variation in strength, tone, or pitch of one's voice), the radio (a form of light) will start speaking.

5) There Are Paths And Channels In The Sea

     God spoke through King David (who was not a seaman) three times in the bible that there were paths and channels that existed in the seas. Psalm 8:8 says The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 2 Samuel 22:16 says And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils. Psalm 18:15 says Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

     Matthew Fontaine Maury (1806-1873) believed the bible and God's promise that paths and channels existed in the seas. While Maury was in the navy, he discovered and charted the paths and channels of the seas in a book and became the father of oceanography. Today every ship in the sea uses Matthew Maury's book to find the quickest route by following the paths and channels of the seas.

     A monument brass statue that is nine feet tall is dedicated to Matthew Maury in Richmond, Virginia on Monument Avenue. And another plaque of Matthew Maury exists in Goshen, Virginia overlooking the Maury River. The plaque quotes Psalm 8:8 and other verses of scripture about the paths and channels of the seas that encouraged Matthew Maury to map out oceanography to the benefit of mankind. These blessings occurred because God had King David tell us that paths and channels existed in the seas.

6) The Ideal Dimensions Of A Ship

     When Noah was building the ark, God told him the ideal dimensions of a ship. God told Noah at Genesis 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, the breadth (width) of it 50 cubits, and the height of it 30 cubits. In other words God said Noah the length of your ship needs to be six times greater than the width of your ship. In other words the ideal dimensions of your ark need to be 6 to 1 for it to float and survive the flood.

     And today every engineer absolutely agrees with the bible that the best cruise, sailing, or military ship you can make has the ideal dimensions of 6 to 1 where the length is six times greater than the width of the ship. Just look at every picture of a ship on the internet and you will discover that they all are made by God's ideal dimensions of 6 to 1. Just follow the instructions of the road map (the bible) and your life will be blessed like Noah.

7 The Earth Is Round

     God told Isaiah that the earth is round at Isaiah 40:22 saying It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in. Then in 1969 the news reporter David Brinkley stated that the astronauts on the moon confirmed that the earth was round. But God had already stated that He sitteth upon the circle of the round earth 2800 years earlier at Isaiah 40:22.

 

     Most people believed that the earth was flat during the time of Christopher Columbus in 1492. But Columbus believed God's promise at Isaiah 40:22 that the earth is round and began to sail around the world. Columbus wrote in his diary "It was the Lord who put it into my mind to sail around the world. The Lord Jesus comforted me with rays of marvelous illumination from the Holy Scriptures."

8) The Universe Is Comprised Of

Time Space Matter Motion And Energy

     Scientists tell us that the universe is comprised of time, space, matter, motion, and energy. But 4000 years earlier God told us that the universe is comprised of  time, space, matter, motion, and energy in the very first verses of Scripture. God said at Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning (Time) God created the heaven (Space) and the earth (Matter). And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved (Motion) upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light (Energy): and there was light. Not a bad beginning for the bible that is accurate and true. 

9) The Universe Is Expanding

     God spoke through Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah that the universe is expanding. Job 9:8 says Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Isaiah 42:5 says Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens, and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein. Jeremiah 51:15 says He hath made the earth by His power, He hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by His understanding. Zechariah 12:1 says The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the Spirit of man within him.

     Albert Einstein (1879-1955) initially believed that the universe was static where space is neither expanding nor contracting, remaining the same size and density over time. Other scientists believed that the universe would collapse because of gravity. But God said through the bible that these theories were wrong because the universe is expanding and getting larger. God's universe is infinite beyond man's understanding.

     Then in 1929, American astronomer Edwin Hubble published findings showing that galaxies are moving away from the earth, and the farther away they are, the faster they recede. This observation, which became known as Hubble's law, provided groundbreaking evidence that the universe is expanding. Hubble's work built on earlier observations and techniques for measuring galactic distances, demonstrated that the universe is not static but dynamic, always changing, and ever growing.. And then Albert Einstein changed his mind and told Edwin Hubble I think that the universe is expanding. Job, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah all spoke correctly from the bible that the universe is expanding and today people can see spectacular images of an expanding universe on the internet from the Hubble telescope. 

10) The Second Law Of Thermodynamics

Entropy (Randomness and Disorder) In A System

Can Stay The Same Or Increase But Not Decrease

Everything Proceeds From Order To Disorder

     God spoke about entropy at Psalm 102:25. Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed. Hebrews 1:10 also speaks about entropy saying And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

     Truly the second law of thermodynamics about entropy is correct because everything proceeds from order to disorder. If you try to spin a penny, at first the penny will spin around real fast but eventually the penny will slow down and fall over. If you wind a string around a top and jerk the string and let the top spin, eventually the top will slow down, start wobbling, and finally stop, and fall over.  

     Evolution says everything is getting better and progressing to a better state. Evolution is wrong because entropy exists on this earth and everything proceeds from order to disorder. God is going to destroy this heaven and earth with fire and create new heavens and a new earth where no devil or sin exists. 2 Peter 3:10 says But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. This sinful world will eventually be destroyed so God can create perfect new heavens and a new earth with peace and joy forevermore.

Make Prayer The Very First Thing You Do Every Morning

     If you want to be blessed every day, make prayer the very first thing you do every morning. Right when you get out of bed each morning start the day in prayer before you do your daily chores. Find a blessed place in your home or apartment that you daily have prayer and devotions to our Lord Jesus. If you honor the Lord Jesus first every day in morning prayer, Jesus will honor and bless the rest of your day. 

     Morning is the best time of the day to find Jesus because Proverbs 8:17 says I love them that love me and those that seek me early shall find me. Wake up in the morning, get out of that bed, and pray because Proverbs 20:13 says Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. And remember the warning of Proverbs 23:21 that says For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

I have so much to do today

I need to spend the first three hours in prayer

     When Martin Luther faced a busy day he said I need to spend the first three hours in prayer. He realized that he could accomplish more and fix all his problems after morning prayer because God would help him all that day instead of using his own strength. Martin Luther realized that if he honored the Lord Jesus first every day, Jesus would honor him all that day and fix his problems. 

     James 4:2 says we have not because we ask not. Jesus is waiting every day in the morning for you to tell him your problems. The people that get blessed the most ask and tell Jesus the most about their problems that get fixed. In other words instead of reacting to a problem, tell Jesus the problem first thing every morning and Jesus will help you fix and solve any problem. And with Jesus helping you every day you will always be a winner and overcome any obstacle. 

     No matter how busy you are each day, take some time (even ten to fifteen minutes) first thing every morning in prayer and Jesus will bless your day. King David was a very busy man but David took time every day early in the morning in prayer and got blessed. Psalm 5:3 tells us that David said My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Edward Praying Payson Got Blessed With Early Morning Prayer

     Edward Praying Payson was a pastor in the early 1800s in Maine. Prayer was the main focus of his life. After praying many hours early every morning, he wore grooves into the wooden floorboards by his bed creating an indentation from his knees to his feet. Over 700 people in Maine got saved and believed in the Lord Jesus because of Edward Payson's daily prayers for hours. His most famous book written in 1814 was The Bible Above All Price.

     Praying Payson of Portland, Maine had the highest quality of intimacy with God. Most of us are but sparrows in prayer and flutter no higher than the lowest branches but this eagle soared into the heavenlies. Remember the promise of 1 John 5:14 when you pray to our Lord Jesus every morning. And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us. And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. Get saved today and get blessed every day with morning prayer. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

J Wilbur Chapman Became A Blessed Preacher

Because A Deacon Prayed Early Every Morning For Him

     A young preacher named J Wilbur Chapman became a pastor in Philadelphia and his preaching was boring. Several deacons in his church wanted to tell him to resign. But one blessed deacon convinced the church members to allow J Wilbur Chapman to preach for one more month. This blessed deacon told J Wilbur Chapman "You are not a strong preacher and in the usual order of things you will fail here, but my friends and myself have agreed to meet every Sunday morning to pray in the basement under you while you preach." Eventually 300 people would pray every Sunday for this imperfect pastor named J Wilbur Chapman in the basement under him while he preached. 

     Because of the blessed deacon and his friends' prayers, J Wilbur Chapman became one of America's greatest preachers and won thousands of souls to our Lord Jesus. J Wilbur Chapman had the honor of leading a former baseball player named Billy Sunday to our Lord Jesus. And Billy Sunday also became one of America's greatest preachers. Now consider that millions of souls would have been lost had it not been for an unknown blessed deacon that daily prayed early every morning for his friend named J Wilbur Chapman. Keep praying friends early in the morning for your brothers and sisters in the Lord. Your prayers will result in millions getting saved.

1) Pray Effectively By Asking And Telling Jesus About All Your Problems

Don't React To Any Problem; First Tell Jesus The Problem In Prayer

And Jesus Will Fix All Your Problems

     Instead of reacting to problems and trying to fix them without God, first tell the Lord Jesus about the problem in prayer, and the Lord Jesus will fix every problem with a solution. The bible promises that Jesus will answer all your problems after you pray at Matthew 21:22 that says And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. In other words tell Jesus about every problem in your life and you will receive an answer and peace to overcome any trouble. Unfortunately most people try to fix problems on their own before seeking an answer from God for their problems. Take God at His Word and tell Jesus about every single problem bothering you instead of reacting and trying on your own to fix anything. Jesus will give you the solution to fix any problem and give you deliverance from any trouble. 

     Jesus told us at John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. James 4:2 tells us you have not, because you ask not. The Lord Jesus is waiting for you to tell Him your problems so He can fix them. The saints that ask and tell Jesus the most about their problems get blessed the most. Philippians 4:6 says Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Make all your requests known to God while you praise the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving and you will receive peace that passeth all understanding and deliverance from all your problems. 

     Finally remember that Jesus will not answer requests for sinful pleasures. James 4:2 says Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Psalm 66:18 says If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. Get saved today so your prayers can be answered. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.  

     In order to deny sin daily to have your prayers answered, daily meditate on the Word of God, attend church, and pray daily. While you meditate and memorize the bible daily, your faith will increase and you will believe your prayer requests. The result will be answered prayers because of faith from the Word of God. Romans 10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. And the more you read and memorize the bible and attend church to hear the Word of God, the more God will answer your prayers. Listen to God and God will listen to you. You listen to God by reading the Word of God and hearing the sermons by preachers at church. 

    Deny sin daily and walk in the perfect will of God to get your prayers answered by God. If you're walking with God and denying sin you will ask for the right things and get answers and solutions. 1 John 5:14 encourages us saying And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will (not according to our lusts), he heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. 

     Finally pray with a mustard seed of faith in Jesus name and Matthew 17:20 promises that the mountain in your way will move and nothing will be impossible for you. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. And get in the habit of praying immediately when you get out of bed in the morning before doing any chores. If you first tell Jesus every day about your problems early in the morning, the rest of your day will be blessed. Proverbs 8:17 promises that you'll find Jesus if you seek him early every morning. The blessed scripture says I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.   

A Woman That Prayed Effectively Named Holy Ann Preston

     Ann Preston was a blessed woman that knew how to pray effectively. She lived 96 years from 1810 to 1906 in Canada. Ann was a humble lowly servant that received many amazing answers to her prayers. She always prayed two hours every day and tried to deny sin. Ann Preston didn't know the alphabet and couldn't even read a newspaper. But Jesus blessed Ann to memorize and quote most of the bible. People from all over the world would request Ann Preston to pray for them and they got healed with victory over many problems. Three Incredible Miracles That Occurred After Ann Preston Prayed

1) The Miracle Of Water In A Dry Well  

     While Ann Preston was a housekeeper for a family of children in Thornhill, Canada, a long and scorching summer had completely dried up the well in the farmyard. For many weeks the children had to haul water from another well miles away from the farm. One night after the boys were tired from hauling the water, a little boy named Henry asked Ann Preston to pray for him. Henry asked Ann, "Why don't you ask your God to send water in that well and not have us boys work so hard?"

     That night in childlike faith, Ann Preston prayed this prayer. Father you have heard what Henry said to me tonight. Will you please send water into the farm's well tomorrow morning?  Jesus immediately told Ann that her prayer was answered. The next morning Henry saw to his great surprise and amusement that Ann was on her way to the well with two empty pails in her hands. 

     Ann by faith lowered the two pails into what had been a bone dry well not many hours before. Now instead of the thud of a pail striking the hard bottom of the well, there was a splash as the pails hit what was quite a depth of water. Soon the two pails were filled to the brim and Ann Preston returned in a joyful triumph to the house. And it has been reliably reported that never again was this well known to be dry either in summer or winter. If you went to visit this well today by the farm where Ann Preston lived, it would always be full of water. 

2) The Miracle Of A Path Created In The Snow To Attend Church

     One day Ann Preston wanted to go to church. But when she woke up, to her dismay she noticed that there had been a heavy snowfall. Ann prayed Father will you please send someone to make a path in the snow for me so I can attend church tonight. When Ann prayed the prayer, there was no man in the house to shovel a path to the church that was two miles down the road. 

     After Ann prayed, she heard several girls in her house laughing and saying "Come and see what is making a path for Ann." When Ann looked out the window, there were five horses running up and down the street in colt like fashion making a perfectly beaten path through the deep snow from Ann Preston's house to the church. And then the five horses went back into the main road and scattered in different directions. When Ann attended the church meeting that night, she told everyone with a smiling face how God had opened a path through the deep snow for her to attend church.

3) The Miracle Of Money Found In The Snow By A Small Hill

     One night several girls returning from a church service lost money in the snow. The girls looked all evening with a lantern for the lost money with no success. After the girls told Ann Preston about the lost money, Ann prayed Father God keep the money for these little girls wherever it is. Early in the morning, Ann was wakened by God with the following instruction: Arise and get the money that you told me to keep for you last night. While Ann Preston went outside and walked down a path, God stopped her and had her look at the money lying almost hidden in the snow by the side of a small hill.

     Then Ann Preston picked up the money and returned joyfully to the little girls. Ann told the little girls here's the money that you were searching for all night. The girls replied "Please Ann don't mention this at Sunday school or the people will think that we were so careless." Like Ann Preston, a lady once asked Brother Bob to pray that God would provide forty dollars to pay her bills. While we were walking in a CVS Pharmacy right after praying, God placed forty dollars on the floor in front of the lady. The lady rejoiced and picked up the money and paid her bills.

A Man That Prayed Effectively Named John Praying Hyde

How John Praying Hyde's Prayers Blessed India With A Revival

     In 1888 a young man named John Hyde went to Bible College in Carthage, Illinois. After praying all night, John Hyde decided to travel to India to be a missionary. When John arrived in India he found the people very unreceptive to the gospel. For eight years he labored without any results. It seemed that no matter how hard he worked, no matter how many people he witnessed to, nothing happened. 

     Finally John Hyde decided to pray and fast until there was a revival in India. For thirty days he did not eat and he spent each day on his face before God praying for revival in India. At one time during the thirty days, John Hyde spent thirty six continuous hours on his knees begging God for His power. While John was praying, the people of India called him "The man who never sleeps." And all the people of India called him "Praying Hyde." After the thirty days, christian saints everywhere in India became convicted about a great need for revival. All the christians in India agreed to pray every day for a half an hour until revival happened in India.

     And revival occurred in India because of the prayers of John Praying Hyde. During the first year of the revival, John Hyde determined to win one soul a day for one year. After one year, Mr. Hyde personally baptized more than 400 of his own converts. Then the next year, Praying Hyde determined to win two souls a day for one year. At the end of that year 800 precious souls had received the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. And finally the next year, Praying Hyde determined to win four souls a day for one year. At the end of that year, 1600 precious souls had received the Lord Jesus. 

     In my study of great men, I don't know of a man that had any greater burden or prayed more fervently for a foreign field as John Hyde did for India. He had accomplished what his predecessor William Carey had said years earlier "Expect great things from God; Attempt great things for God."

Taps And Reveille

Taps is a bugle call played at dusk proclaiming the day is done

Reveille is a bugle call played at sunrise proclaiming wake up

     Winston Churchill planned his own funeral down to the last detail. According to his direction, following the benediction, a bugler positioned high in the dome of a church played Taps-the univeral signal that the day is over and ended. Then after the last note of Taps, from the other side of the great dome, another bugler played Reveille-the universal signal for a new day beginning. 

     Remember friends, at death Taps may be played here on earth, but Reveille will instantly be played in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body (Taps), and to be present (Reveille) with the Lord. Jesus took away the sting of death for all saints. When any saint leaves this earth, they won't hear Taps. They will hear Reveille

     Christians should never say goodbye at the graveside. There is hope for saints and they can say "I'll see you again my friend." Don't dread death. Taps may play here, but we will have Reveille there in heaven. Listen for the Reveille trumpet. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20.

     Friend reading this anywhere, you can hear Reveille instead of Taps by getting saved today. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. You will escape death, hell, and the lake of fire and be blessed with eternal life, peace, and happiness in the kingdom of God forevermore.

The Two Trumpets Heard By Christians During The Rapture

     Numbers 10:2 speaks about two trumpets heard by christians during the rapture. This is a beautiful picture of the rapture. Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door (Jesus) of the tabernacle of the congregation.

     The two trumpets heard by christians at the rapture will be God's voice (called the trump of God) and has nothing to do with seven angels blowing seven trumpets during the tribulation after the opening of the seventh seal (Revelation 8:1-2). In other words the rapture won't occur during the tribulation. The rapture will occur before the tribulation where God's voice will be the sound of the two trumpets.

The Scriptures Below Proving That God's Voice Is The Sound Of A Trumpet

     When Moses and the children of Israel heard God's voice at Mount Sinai, it was the sound of a trumpet. Exodus 19:18 says And Mount Sinai was altogether on smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice. When John heard God's voice it was the sound of a trumpet. John said at Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice (from the Lord Jesus), as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. John also said at Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet (God's voice) talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

     1 Thessalonians 4:16 describes the two trumpet sounds (God's voice) heard by christians during the rapture. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout (first trumpet sound), with the voice of the archangel (Michael), and with the trump of God (second trumpet sound or last trump of God's voice that has nothing to do with an angel blowing a trumpet during the tribulation): and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

     Finally, there will be an interval between the first and second trumpet sounds of God's voice during the rapture. I don't know how long the interval will be between the first trumpet sound heard by the dead in Christ and the second trumpet sound heard by the living saints. It might be a moment, 1 second, 15 seconds, 15 minutes, a day, or a half hour of silence (like the half hour that will occur when God opens the seventh seal before the seven trumpets of tribulation wrath happen on the earth noted at Revelation 8:1): And when He had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

     I believe that there will be two trumpets of God's voice sounding during the rapture. When the living saints hear the first trumpet sound of God's voice for the dead in Christ, it will be a warning before they get caught up to the clouds during the second trumpet. What would you do if you heard that first trumpet sound and had a half hour to be on this earth before the rapture? Instead of saying like Paul Revere-The British are coming. Tell everyone everywhere Jesus is coming. Get ready for the rapture. But Brother Bob says always be ready for the rapture that is a mystery where no one but the Father knows the exact time for the rapture. Luke 21:36 tells us Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

     CT Studd was a very wealthy man that gave away all of his money to be a missionary in China, India, and Africa. CT Studd said "If Jesus Christ be God and He died for me, then there is no sacrifice too great for me to make for Him. I may never be what I wish to be for Christ, but one thing I can be is loyal. I want to hear Him say to me, Well done, thou good and faithful servant." CT Studd inherited millions of dollars from his family and gave it all away to help win souls for Jesus by blessing the ministries of DL Moody and George Muller's orphans. 

     Because of CT Studd's sacrifice, millions of souls were saved in China, India, and Africa. CT Studd said "Only one life twill soon be past, only what's done for Jesus Christ will last." He also said "Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell but I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell." Remember replace the Exit sign in your church with the words "You are now entering the mission field."

     George Muller said "There was a day that I utterly died to George Muller and his opinions, preferences, tastes, and will. Died to the world, its approval or censure, and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God." George Muller trusted daily that Jesus would provide food for thousands of orphans that he cared for. One day when there was no food for breakfast, George Muller thanked Jesus by faith for food and milk. Then immediately a woman knocked at the door with enough bread and molasses to feed all the orphans. Then a farmer's wagon lost a wheel in the front of the orphanage that was carrying many bottles of milk. The farmer said that George Muller could take all the milk for the orphans.  

A Blessed Story About A Boy Picking Up Starfish

     A man was walking along a beach at sunset. He could see a young boy in the distance. The boy kept bending down, picking something up, and throwing it into the water. The boy was picking up starfish one at a time that had been washed up and he was throwing them back into the water. 

     The man asked the boy "What are you doing?" The boy replied "I am throwing these washed up starfish back into the ocean or else they will die." The man told the boy "You can't possibly save them all. There are thousands on this beach. You can't make a difference." The little boy smiled, bent down, and picked up another starfish and as he threw it back into the ocean he replied, "I made a difference to that one."

     Jude 22 says And of some have compassion, making a difference; And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. In this troubled world be a difference maker. Have compassion on someone today and tell them about the Lord Jesus. Don't be selfish. Witness Jesus everywhere. Be a soul winner for our Lord Jesus one at a time. 1 Corinthians 3:6 says I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
