Forward A Year Ago

2 Corinthians 8:10
Instead Of Begun Before
Be Forward A Year Ago

Let's look at a wise saying from Paul at 2 Corinthians 8:10 that says And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. In other words don't just say I've begun before starting anything without completing your goals. Instead say I was forward a year ago and will continue to move forward for Jesus completing all my plans to tell everyone around this earth about Jesus.

Don't say I've begun before promising to read the whole bible and stop reading at Genesis. Don't say I've begun before starting to pray for people and become too busy to finish your prayers. Don't say I've begun before starting to diet and lose weight while you keep eating and gain weight.

If you are struggling and getting persecuted for serving Jesus, struggle forward; Don't struggle backward. Eventually you will become a winner and succeed if you don't quit. Galatians 6:9 promises And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

If you made a commitment a year ago, don't just begin but keep going forward and complete your commitments.  Don't quit. Be forward a year ago. Restart your commitments and do them again and again, refusing to stop. Don't just say I'll complete a task. Perform the task. Paul said to be forward a year ago because you performed and completed all your promises. Paul said at 2 Corinthians 8:11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

God places desires in our hearts to reach people for Jesus and we have to be willing and finally perform these desires to reach and witness Jesus to multitudes all over this earth. Brother Bob today is going to complete his promise and tell people everywhere reading this bible study how to get saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Don't just begin to serve Jesus and throw in the towel because of persecution saying Why should I even try again? Just keep trying to witness and tell everyone everywhere about Jesus and eventually you will be successful, while millions of souls all over this earth become saved.

Keep Moving Forward Like William Carey

Be like missionary William Carey who plodded for God witnessing Jesus to the people of India in the 1700s. Plod means to work and persevere slowly with effort refusing to quit. The bible tells us to plod for God at Galatians 6:9 saying And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. In other words keep telling people everywhere how to be saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Eventually your labor for Jesus will be rewarded and you will be blessed. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

When William Carey began thinking about going to India as a missionary pioneer, his father told him that he had no academic qualifications that should fit him for such a task. William Carey replied the following three words: I can plod; I can go to India and I can plod for God. William Carey plodded and went to India where he slowly won souls to Jesus daily. It took William Cary seven years of relentless missionary labor to baptize his first Indian convert to Christianity.

William Carey arrived in Calcutta, India, in November 1793. After seven years of poverty, illness, and language study, he finally baptized a local carpenter named Krishna Pal on December 28, 1800. Krishna Pal did not just convert. He went on to become an ordained minister, preached the gospel for more than 20 years to his fellow countrymen, and authored several well known christian hymns. Eventually thousands of people in India got saved because William Carey translated the bible into the languages spoken by the people of India. Let's all follow William Carey's blessed advice: Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.

Why William Carey Said
Expect Great Things From God; Attempt Great Things For God

William Carey's blessed saying tells us that the confidence and vision for our lives should be measured by the vastness of God's power and not by our own human limitations. Faith must precede action. Notice the order of William Carey's blessed statement. He did not say attempt great things first. He said that you must first expect God to move. Your expectations dictate your actions. If you have a small, limited view of what God can do, you will only try small, comfortable things. High expectations of God's faithfulness expand your capacity to serve the Lord Jesus.

When William Carey delivered this message, he was a self educated, working class shoemaker. He had no wealth, elite status, or institutional support. "Expecting great things" meant trusting that God could take a flawed, ordinary individual and use them to impact the world. It shifts the pressure of achieving results away from human talent and onto the divine capability of the Lord Jesus.

William Carey preached this blessed statement during a historic speech called the "Deathless Sermon" to a group of complacent ministers. At the time, church leaders actively dismissed the idea of global missions, believing that if God wanted to convert people, He would do it without human help. William Carey used this phrase to shock people out of their spiritual comfort zones, challenging them to believe that God wanted to work actively and globally through them.

William Carey told us to obey God's command at Isaiah 54:2. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. For William Carey, expecting great things was a firm reliance on biblical promises that God desires his grace and love to reach all corners of the earth.

Because William Carey expected great things, he went on to attempt them. He moved to India, mastered complex local languages, translated the bible into multiple dialects, and effectively launched the modern global missionary movement. William Carey translated the entire KJV bible into 45 different indigenous languages and dialects, including Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, and Assamese.

Like Missionary David Livingstone Say
Anywhere Provided It Be Forward

A blessed missionary to Africa from the 1800s named David Livingstone won multitudes to the Lord Jesus in the jungles of Africa because he kept moving forward. Reese's Encyclopedia Of Christian Biographies tells us that David Livingstone was a pioneer missionary and explorer to Africa who preached the gospel to the central part of Africa. David Livingstone never looked backward and was determined to tell everyone in Africa about Jesus saying "Anywhere Provided It Be Forward." Let's all be like David Livingstone and go anywhere telling everyone about the Lord Jesus, provided it be forward. Don't ever go backward and fall away from Jesus. Just keep going forward like David Livingstone.

David Livingstone studied theology and medicine while he was working in a cotton mill in England during the 1800s. He was converted to christianity at age 20. David Livingstone traveled 30000 miles throughout central Africa during his life to witness and win souls to Jesus. He first arrived in Africa in 1841 and married Mary Moffitt, daughter of the missionary Robert Moffitt. They were separated half of their 18 years of marriage (wow what a commitment to tell the African people about Jesus). David Livingstone successfully witnessed Jesus to thousands of native Africans who got saved for the Lord Jesus.

His wife Mary Moffitt died in his arms on the remote Zambezi river in central Africa. David Livingstone's ministry included preaching the gospel, healing the sick, recording African geography, helping to stop the Portuguese slave trade, and seeking the source of the Nile river. Early in his expeditions he was attacked and maimed by a lion. He discovered Lake Ngami, the Zambezi river, Victoria Falls, and Lake Nyasa.

David Livingstone originally served under the London Missionary Society and under the British Government and finally under the Royal Geographical Society. He wrote Missionary Travels; A best seller. After being considered missing for some time, he was finally found by Henry Stanley at Ujiji Africa in 1871. When Stanley found Livingstone he said the famous words Dr. Livingstone I presume.

Just before David Livingstone's death, he said build me a hut to die in. I am going home. He was found dead on his knees praying. The natives of Africa buried his heart in Africa but his body was buried in Westminster Abbey back in London, England. His favorite bible verse was Matthew 28:20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

A Song About Going Forward
By Palmer Hartsow

I am resolved no longer to linger
charmed by the world's delight
Things that are higher; things that are nobler
These have allured my sight

I am resolved to go to the Saviour
Leaving my sin and strife
He is the true one; He is the just one
He hath the words of Life

I am resolved to follow the Saviour
Faithful and true each day
Heed what He saith; Do what He willeth
He is the living way

I am resolved to enter the kingdom
Leaving the paths of sin
Friends may oppose me; Foes may beset me
Still will I enter in

I will hasten to Him
Hasten so glad and free
Jesus greatest highest
I will come to thee

Don't quit; Keep serving Jesus; Keep moving forward for Jesus
The christian life requires resolution and determination
to keep moving forward and witnessing
Jesus to multitudes all over this earth

A Blessed Quote From Carl Bard
Memorize and Perform This Blessed Quote

Though no one can go back
And make a brand new start
Anyone can start from now
And make a brand new ending

Stop feeling guilty about your past mistakes. The blood of Jesus has washed away your past sins and the Lord Jesus has forgotten your past mistakes. Start from now and make a brand new ending. If Jesus can forgive the thief on the cross who murdered, raped, and lied all his life, Jesus can forgive you and use you to be a great soul winner for Jesus. The thief on the cross asked Jesus Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Jesus saved him and replied To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. In an instant, all the thief's past sins were forgotten and he was saved forevermore. The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain (of the blood of Jesus) in his day, and there may I though vile as he wash all my sins away.

How To Be Forward A Year Ago

According to the Lord Jesus, let's see how we can be forward a year ago. Each year the earth revolves one time around the sun at a distance of 93 million miles away traveling at a speed of 67000 miles an hour. We are not standing still. We are continuously moving. And the earth revolves around the sun every year with unbelievable consistency. Meteorologists know the exact time and minute of the sunset for every day of the year.

In other words every second and every time you snap your fingers the earth has moved 18.5 miles around the sun. And while the earth is revolving around the sun every year at 67000 miles an hour, the earth's equator is spinning around at 1000 miles an hour while the earth wobbles back and forth at a 22 degree angle. Praise and worship the Lord Jesus who is driving all this. Job 26;7 says He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in His thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

And then our entire solar system (the sun and nine planets) are moving north at a speed of 43000 miles an hour while the earth is revolving around the sun at 67000 miles an hour. In other words Brother Bob who is 64 years old has made 64 revolutions around the sun at 67000 miles an hour while the entire solar system is moving north at a speed of 43000 miles an hour. Praise you Lord Jesus for driving and creating these heavens and earth.

Therefore God measures and schedules things by years. Determine to be forward a year ago and keep moving forward. Determine each year to learn all you can about the Lord Jesus. Keep reading and memorizing your bible so you can say I am forward a year ago. Keep getting better each year and determine to reach more souls for Jesus every year.

The Benefits Of Being Forward A Year Ago

If you started to read your bible last year and stopped at Genesis, this year start reading your bible again at Exodus and read it to Revelation so you can be forward a year ago. Don't ever quit reading, memorizing, and studying your bible so you can be forward a year ago. Psalm 1 promises that if anyone meditates and memorizes the bible whatsoever they do will prosper, and God will fix all their troubles.

If you become forward a year ago by daily reading and memorizing the Word of God, 2 Peter 1:2 promises Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. Notice that the more you read, know, and memorize the bible, that grace and peace will be multiplied (not added) unto you. When something is added it's 1+1=2; 2+2=4; but when something is multiplied it's 2x2=4; 4x4=16; 8x8=64; I'd rather have things multiplied unto me than added unto me; And if anyone reads, knows, and memorizes the bible, grace and peace will be multiplied unto them. Right now praise Jesus and say Thank you Lord for multiplied peace and grace that is exceeding abundantly above all I ask or think while I am forward a year ago in my bible reading.

Finally here's some more suggestions to become forward a year ago. Determine to pray for more people every year. Have prayer time every morning. Pray all the time while you work, shop for groceries, do the laundry, and pay your bills. Pray for people whenever God places them on your heart.

And be determined to attend every service at your local church. Hebrews 10:25 says Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Since we see that the day of Christ is soon approaching, we need to go to church more, assembling ourselves together so we can all become forward a year ago.

Don't just say you will pray more and go to church more. Pray more and go to church more so you can become forward a year ago. Take time to read the parable about two men (one who just talked and promised but did not perform his goals while the other completed and performed the request) at Matthew 21:28.

Matthew 21:28 says But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his Father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Everyone let's be like the son that completed the father's request. Instead of saying I've begun before, tell the Lord Jesus I've become forward a year ago. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Start from now and make a brand new ending. Let's complete all our promises and reach more people every year for Jesus, while more and more souls all over this earth become saved.

How To Stay Clean

Why Christians Need To Deny Sin

Today let's learn how to stay clean after we get saved. If we look at the pictures above we learn that when anyone gets saved by faith without works, God stops imputing or remembering their sins by cleansing their sins with the blood of Jesus Christ. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

After salvation, 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light (Jesus), as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. In other words when anyone gets saved, God no longer imputes or keeps a record or account of their sins in heaven. Romans 4:8 says Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. And 2 Corinthians 5:19 says To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

How comforting to know that after salvation by faith in Jesus alone with no works, the blood of Jesus washes away all our sins past, present, and future. Rejoice and say Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And say Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He (the Lord Jesus) hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

In other words Jesus doesn't have to be crucified over and over again to sanctify and cleanse us all from sin. This is why Jesus said at the cross It is finished. Jesus made the payment of His blood for our redemption and salvation from our sins once at the cross of Calvary. It requires no work from us. Just believe what Jesus has already done at the cross of Calvary to be saved and don't add your own works. It's enough without our works what Jesus did at the cross to obtain salvation. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

But christians can sin again after salvation, and this is why christians need to daily confess their sins and stay clean. The next verse at 1 John 1:8 says that after salvation when the blood of Jesus cleanseth us from all sin, christians can sin again because if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth (Jesus) is not in us. And then 1 John 1:10 says that we can sin again after salvation. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him (Jesus) a liar, and His word is not in us.

After salvation, a person's soul and spirit are redeemed and no longer sin. 1 John 5:18 says We know that whatsoever is born of God sinneth not (the soul and spirit no longer sin); but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. But after salvation, a person's body (flesh) can keep sinning (lost as a golf ball in high weeds) and will not be redeemed until the rapture when Jesus appears in the air. Romans 8:23 says that christians groan within themselves, waiting (until the rapture) for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of their bodies. After the rapture christians will receive glorified bodies that will no longer sin.

Philippians 3:20 says For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body (during the rapture when the Lord Jesus appears to His saved saints in the air), that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

The apostle Paul explained that the flesh that can sin wars against the soul and spirit of christians. Even Paul the greatest christian that lived admitted that his body could sin. Paul said at Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. Paul went on to say at Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am. Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Since christians can sin again after salvation, christians should stay clean and daily try to stop sinning to avoid trouble, problems, and death. Ephesians 4:27 says Neither give place to the devil. Romans 6:1 says What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? After salvation by faith in Jesus, a christian can not lose his or her salvation but can commit a sin unto death.

The sin unto death that saved christians can commit is listed at 1 Corinthians 5:5 where a saved christian sinned and died because he had sex with his father's wife. This christian was delivered unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Notice that this christian was saved with eternal life, but experienced a premature death because of his sin.

Why Jesus Told Peter He Had To Wash His Feet

Pictured above Jesus explained to Peter that his soul and spirit was cleansed by the blood of Jesus of all his sins, but he had to wash his feet to stop his flesh from sinning after salvation while walking through this world. John 13:6 says Then cometh He (Jesus) to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Tremble at these words and notice that the Lord Jesus said if anyone is not washed by faith in Jesus alone without good works and religion they can not be saved. Only the Lord Jesus can save anyone.

Now notice Peter's radical change of mind at John 13:9 where Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Now Peter wants his feet along with his hands and head washed by Jesus. Notice Jesus' response at John 13:10: He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. In other words Jesus told Peter that he was cleansed of all his sins, but after salvation, Peter could sin again in his flesh and needed to stay clean and wash his feet daily to avoid trouble from the devil.

Therefore like Peter, when christians walk through this world, they need to daily wash their feet and deny sin by staying clean. When anyone practices or commits sins, even christians, they block God from blessing them. This is why we need to stay clean and avoid sinning daily. Psalm 66:18 says If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. God will not hear the prayers of people, even saved people, that practice sin and fail to stay clean by confessing their sins daily. And notice that Romans 8:13 says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Four Ways To Stay Clean After Salvation
1) Confess Your Sins Daily To Stay Clean

The first way to stay clean after salvation is to confess your sins daily. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, He (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. One of the daily benefits anyone receives when they confess their sins is listed at Psalm 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. And rejoice because Psalm 68:19 says Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits (those listed in Psalm 103), even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Everyday say Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ and let the devil know I am covered by the blood of Jesus that cleanseth me from all sin, overcomes and defeats you devil, and evil must pass over me. You will feel the blood of Jesus take away all guilt from your sins and be able to boldly enter the throne of God by faith in heaven to make requests for your prayers.

     2) Read And Memorize The Word Of God Daily To Stay Clean

The next way to stay clean after salvation is to daily read and memorize the Word of God. The following scriptures tell us that the Word of God will wash us and keep us clean. Jesus said at John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you. And Ephesians 5:26 says That He (Jesus) might sanctify and cleanse it (the church) with the washing of water by the Word.

Now why should anyone read and memorize the bible and stay clean? People should deny sin and stay clean because it just feels good to be clean. It feels better to be clean than be filthy and living in sin. When we are clean with the Lord Jesus it makes us happy with peace and strength. Also it's blessed to listen to the Word of God. Just listen to some blessed preaching on the internet or at your church and you will experience peace, joy, and happiness. Romans 10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Most people bathe or shower every day early in the morning to avoid stinking and being offensive to everyone around them. If anyone bathed or showered only once a week or once a month, they'd stink and offend many people around them. Also they'd feel dirty, lousy, and filthy, and be a bad witness to everyone.

Not only do we need to daily cleanse our outward bodies, but we also need to cleanse our inward bodies by daily reading and memorizing the bible with the water of the Word. When anyone just listens to preaching (even if you can't remember the scriptures), the water of the Word will flow over you and make you feel good with great joy and peace.

Most people bathe or shower every day. But most people don't read the bible every day to stay clean and stop sinning. If anyone tells you I haven't read or even thought about the bible for years, they are a bad witness and are offensive like a person that has not bathed for years. But when anyone daily reads and memorizes the bible, they are a joy to be around and their peace can be felt by everyone around them.

It's good to read and memorize the bible daily because it helps us stay clean by revealing sins that need to be washed and stopped. The bible teaches us how to live pure, holy, and sanctified lives for Jesus. Sometimes the only way we can be aware of our sins is to have the Word of God correct and reveal sin to our flesh. Hebrews 4:12 says For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (the Word of God separates by spiritual circumcision your soul and spirit from your flesh-joints and marrow, to recognize sins that must be stopped), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Colossians 2:11 explains the spiritual circumcision made by the Word of God that is sharper than any twoedged sword saying In whom also ye are circumcised (By the Word Jesus) with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.

3) The Fear Of God Helps Us To Stay Clean

When anyone daily reads or memorizes the Word of God, they will learn about the fear of God. It's good to fear God. The fear of the Lord has a cleansing effect and will stop people from sinning so they can stay clean. Psalm 19:9 tell us that the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever. And Proverbs 3:7 tell us that when anyone fears the Lord they will depart from evil.

And the fear of the Lord is not a bad thing. Proverbs 10:27 says The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. It's good to stay clean, fear God, and live holy every day. The bible promises power and strength to anyone that daily stays clean and lives holy. Like Jesus, Romans 1:4 promises anyone power if they have a spirit of holiness. The scripture says that Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Be like King David and determine to stay clean by saying Psalm 51:10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free Spirit. Jesus will reward us at the bema judgment seat for staying clean with good works when we meet Him after we are caught up in the clouds during the rapture. It's a blessing to stay clean with good works to widows, orphans, and needy poor people because the Lord Jesus will reward us with eternal blessings in earth and in heaven.

Remember the promise of 2 John 8 that says Look to yourselves (stay clean with good works), that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. And remember the warning of 2 Corinthians 13:5. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

4) The Love Of God Helps Us To Stay Clean

Finally the love of God will help us stay clean and keep us away from the filthiness of this world. Be like the woman who loved Jesus much by washing His feet with her tears and hair. This woman's great love for Jesus cleansed her of many filthy sins. Jesus spoke about this woman at Luke 7:47 saying Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

No sin should keep you from coming to Jesus today. According to Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will (this is for everyone no matter how much sin they've done), let him take the water of life freely.

You see the love of God occurred when our Lord Jesus died on the cross of Calvary. John 15:13 proves this by saying Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. If you ever get a bad thought, just look with your heart at Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and that bad thought will disappear immediately and you will stay clean. If you look with your heart at Jesus Christ crucified on the cross of Calvary, it is impossible to think a bad thought. This revelation is stated at 2 Corinthians 10:5 that says Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Who Are The Heroes Of Heaven?

Earthly Heroes Will Be Forgotten
And Are Not Heroes In Heaven

The heroes on this earth are not the heroes of heaven. The world's heroes can be found at the baseball, basketball, and the hockey hall of fame, the walk of fame in Hollywood, California and Cleveland, Ohio's rock and roll hall of fame. The world admires the greatest hero of basketball Michael Jordan and the greatest hero of hockey Wayne Gretzy. But the bible says that earthly heroes will be forgotten when this earth burns up. Only the heroes of heaven will be remembered and honored.

2 Peter 3:10 says But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. All the memories of earthly heroes will be burned up and forgotten. The Lord Jesus will create new heavens and a new earth where all the memories of this sinful world will be forgotten. Isaiah 65:17 says For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

How blessed to know that we will not remember any bad memories or bad thoughts from this world that won't even come into our mind. This is because the devil is not in the new heavens and new earth. The only thing saints will remember in the new heavens and new earth will be what they did for Jesus. It's like a woman after she has a baby; The woman forgets the suffering and pain of her labor during childbirth and rejoices to see her child. Soon all the saints will forget the sufferings on this fading earth when they see the Lord Jesus and rejoice forevermore

And the Word of God will remain forever. Jesus said at Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Therefore, keep reading and memorizing the bible every day and invest your time into the Word that lasts forever. If anyone tells you that you are too spiritual and talk too much about Jesus, tell them Correction: I need to talk more about Jesus and thanks for the compliment. People are gonna talk about you anyway; Give them something good to talk about and leap for joy while you give them a Forrest Gump and run for Jesus.

The Heroes Of Heaven
Soul Winners, Servants, Saints
The Stedfast, The Sufferers

1) Soul Winners Are Heroes Forever In Heaven

Soul winners will be heroes forever in heaven. This earth admires the stars of sports, Hollywood, and rock and roll that will soon be forgotten. But the bible says that soul winners that help save lost sinners are heroic stars forever honored, rewarded, and remembered in heaven. Daniel 12:3 says And they that be wise (you are wise if you win souls because Proverbs 11:30 says he that winneth souls is wise) shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Let's be stars forever and become soul winners for Jesus that turn many to righteousness instead of the forgotten stars of this fading earth.

Get saved today and become a soul winner hero of heaven that will be honored and remembered forevermore. Like Brother Bob, tell people if Jesus asked you why should I let you into heaven; when they say because I'm a good person, go to church, a good Catholic, or I got baptized; Tell them the only way to be saved and go to heaven is to repent, stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Tell them only faith in the Lord Jesus and the gospel with the gift of repentance can save anyone. There is no other substitute for salvation.

Be like the apostle Paul, the angels of heaven, and Jesus by rejoicing every time a new saint repents and get saved. 1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For ye are our glory and joy. Jesus said at Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels over one sinner that repenteth.

Take as many people as you can with you to heaven by being a soul winner. The people that you lead to Jesus will appreciate you during this life on earth. But boy they'll really appreciate you in heaven. These saved saints will tell the soul winners thank you for telling me about Jesus and saving my soul from the torments of hell and the lake of fire. When these saints realize that they are not in hell or a burning lake of fire, they'll thank and honor the soul winners forevermore in heaven. The soul winners will be the heroes in heaven honored forevermore.

And remember to support financially missionary soul winners that tell people all over this earth in remote countries about the Lord Jesus and save souls. If you support missionaries, when you get to heaven, many saints will tell you thanks for giving money to the missionaries who were able to tell us about the Lord Jesus so we could be saved and be in the peaceful heaven forever. Now this is what I call heroic stuff.

2) Servants Are Heroes Forever In Heaven

Next we see that servants are heroes forever in heaven. Jesus is the greatest servant of all time and forevermore. Because Jesus is the greatest servant, Jesus is the greatest hero of heaven, and the name of Jesus is the name above all names. Philippians 2:6 tell us Who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Because Jesus died on the cross for lost sinners like you and me, now Jesus is called the greatest hero of heaven. Philippians 2:9 goes on to list Jesus' reward for being the greatest servant: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him (Jesus), and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (even the devil has to bow to Jesus). And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Like Jesus, become a servant and a great honored hero of heaven. Jesus told us at Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. Jesus also said at Luke 22:26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. In other words, the humble, quiet, unseen servants that helped orphans, widows, and the homeless on this earth will be the honored heroes of heaven forevermore.

To Be A Good Servant
Quit Crying For Your Rights
Start Embracing Your Responsibilities
Be Last In This Life And Put Others First

To become a servant hero of heaven honored forevermore, be last in this life and put others first. When everyone sits down in the kingdom of God, the servants who were last on this earth will become first and the heroes of heaven. Jesus said at Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west; and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And behold, there are last (the servants for Jesus) which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

A little obscure unknown old lady that constantly prayed, helped the poor, and won souls to Jesus all her life as a servant will become one of the most honored heroes of heaven. She might not have been known or remembered on this earth; But God will remember and reward her forever in heaven as a blessed hero of heaven.

Jesus is going to say to all the servants for Jesus on this earth that were last and forgotten by the world, send them up to the front to be honored as the greatest heroes in heaven. And Jesus is going to say to all those that loved the preeminence and limelight of this fading world like Diotrephes (a terrible church member) you go to the back of the line and stay there forever.

3 John 9 speaks about Diotrephes saying I write unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Jesus is gonna tell Diotrephes you stay in the back of the line forever because you wanted the preeminence and refused to be a servant in my church. Let the unknown servants of the world come up front as honored heroes in heaven because they believed the promise of Luke 14:11: For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Jesus said at Mark 10:31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last (who are few) first.

3) Saints Are Heroes Forever In Heaven

Next we learn that saints are heroes forever in heaven. A saint is a sanctified person made holy by salvation. Hebrews 10:10 explains how to become a sanctified saint saying By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. In other words, when anyone gets saved, repents, stops sinning, confesses that Jesus is God, and believes the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again they become a sanctified saint.

The Catholics got it wrong when they said a saint is someone canonized (declaration that a dead person is a saint) for being a good person that performed two verifiable miracles. Good works don't save anyone and even the devil can perform miracles. The beast and the false prophet in the book of Revelation get power from the devil to cause fire to come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of man. Only repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus and the gospel can save anyone and make them a saint. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

OK, the saints are gonna be heroes in heaven when Jesus tells His saints mount up on white horses to overtake, rule, and reign on this earth for 1000 years with Him. Revelation 19:8 describes the saints saying And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Then Revelation 19:14 tells us that the saints are the armies of heaven that will rule and reign on the earth saying And the armies which were in heaven followed Him (Jesus) upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And when Jesus returns to this earth on a white horse with his saints, Jesus isn't coming like a shepherd with a rod and a staff; Jesus is coming with a rod of iron to rule as the King of this earth for 1000 glorious years. Revelation 19:15 tells us And out of His (Jesus') mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And the bible says that the saints will be heroes reigning as kings and priests with Jesus on this earth for 1000 years and forevermore in the kingdom of God. Revelation 20:6 promises Blessed and holy is he (the saved saints) that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Change And Decay All Around I See
O Thou That Changest Not; Abide With Me

4) The Stedfast Are Heroes Forever In Heaven

And the stedfast are heroes forever in heaven. These stedfast saints always pray, always read their bible, always witness and win souls to Jesus, and always attend church. They are not quitters and cowards like Calvinists who won't witness because they think God has already determined (predestined) who will be saved. Tell the Calvinist the bible says whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. And what about 1 Timothy 2:4 where Jesus said Who will have all men (not some predestinated selected men) to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Instead of being a Calvinist that keeps and cleans aquariums by feeding select predestinated fish, be a soul winner fisher of men that offers salvation to every lost sinner on this earth. There is no such thing as a predestinated sinner; there are predestinated saints. When I go fishing, I fish for anything that bites and offer the bait Jesus to all fish (not just predestinated fish); and when I get the fish in the boat in the live well secure, then the fish are predestinated and saved (they are my property and I know where they are going).

Alright, back to my discussion about stedfast saints. Matthew 25:21 promises that the stedfast and faithful saints will be honored as heroes in heaven when Jesus tells them Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

The people of this world might overlook and forget all your kind deeds for Jesus. But the Lord Jesus remembers everything you do for God. Hebrews 6:10 promises For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And Jesus told us at 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

After reading these blessed promises, decide to be stedfast and faithful for Jesus in everything in this tiny, dinky, short, vapour of life. Don't be sporadic where you start missing church services and stop reading your bible. Be stedfast, keep going to church, keep reading and memorizing your bible, and keep blessing the poor widows and orphans. Jesus will reward you for your faithfulness and make you a ruler over many things. Don't be a quitter that says I used to pray and go to church. Decide to start serving Jesus again and always attend your church services.

Just keep helping your pastor and church. Keep shoveling the snow off the sidewalks around your church; keep cutting the grass and weeding the flowers around your church; and keep serving at banquets for your church. Don't quit; Say I'm going down with the ship; If I have to I'll be the last one out who locks the doors and shuts the light out, but I'm going down with the church; I'm on the Lord's side.

Be stedfast and do a bunch of little things for the church for a long time that will equal a big thing. A stedfast Sunday school teacher who taught only 10 different students for twenty years reached thousands for Jesus, and Jesus will reward her faithfulness. DL Moody, one of the greatest preachers in the 1800's that saved thousands in England and America got saved when he heard an unknown little Sunday school teacher named Ed Kimball at his church.

5) The Sufferers For Jesus Are Heroes Forever In Heaven

Finally, the persecuted saints that suffer for our Lord Jesus are heroes forever in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:12 promises If we suffer (for Jesus through persecutions), we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful; He cannot deny Himself. And Romans 8:17 promises And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together. In other words, if you are verbally assaulted and people call you brainwashed for serving Jesus, rejoice because you are a hero in heaven that will be honored forevermore.

Forty years ago, Brother Bob suffered for our Lord Jesus and was persecuted by his entire Jewish family. I went from having millions of dollars to living homeless in a 1978 Dodge Aspen in a Rea and Derrick pharmacy parking lot. My parents told me it's either Jesus or them. I chose Jesus and the Lord Jesus always took care of Brother Bob all these years. I know I will be rewarded in heaven for leaving all the money and fading wealth of this earth to write this book for Jesus and live totally for Jesus.

When I was in the parking lot homeless when I called my father for help; my dad hung up the phone and said let Jesus help you. I looked up to heaven and said Jesus you are all I have left: My family and everyone has left me. And I heard Jesus say good now I can help you. And the next day, my little brother found me at the parking lot and gave me a place to live in his apartment. And the next week I got a job that I still work on thirty years later. Truly the bible is true; I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. Remember, if you have Jesus in your life, you are a winner. 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Check out the following heroes of heaven that suffered for Jesus on this earth. The christians executed and killed in North Korea for owning a bible will be honored as heroes in heaven. And the chinese christians forced by their government to work in sweat shops for fifteen hours a day because they were christians will be honored as heroes in heaven. And the thousands of christians killed by Isis and Muslims because they believed in our Lord Jesus will be honored as heroes in heaven. Romans 8:18 says For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

I pray in Jesus name that this little bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength. Three Lessons Learned From Plants

Christians Like Plants Daily Need
Light, Heat, And Water

Let's learn three lessons from plants to help us become better christians. Christians are like plants according to Psalm 1:3. Whenever we read and memorize the bible we shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Since christians are like plants, christians must have the same three things plants need to survive (light, heat, and water). My friend Rebekah Kohl did an experiment with four healthy plants. One plant was placed in a dark room with no light for one month. The second plant was placed in a refrigerator and deprived of heat for one month. The third plant was deprived of water for one month. The fourth plant was given light, heat, and watered for one month. The first three plants slowly died because each of them was deprived of one of the necessary ingredients for plant survival (light, heat, and water). Only the fourth plant lived.

Christians like plants also daily need light, heat, and water to survive. Let's see how the bible explains how christians can daily receive light, heat, and water. There are many bible scriptures that say the Lord Jesus and the Word of God give christians light, heat, and water daily. Therefore daily look to Jesus Christ crucified and the Word of God to be blessed like the plants. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again, receiving peace forever with Jesus.

1) Christians Like Plants Need Light To Be Blessed

The Three Sources Of Light For Christians Are
The Lord Jesus, The Word Of God,
And Your Fellow Believers In Jesus At Your Local Church

Christians like plants daily need light to be blessed and survive. Plants are placed in clear greenhouses so they can receive light to survive. Like plants, christians need to receive light from three sources: First, christians receive light from the Lord Jesus according to John 8:12 where Jesus said I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Jesus also said at John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Every day allow the light of Jesus to bless you with peace and strength by looking to Jesus Christ crucified. Every day say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Tell the devil daily that the blood of Jesus (the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever) has overcome and defeated you, evil must pass over me, and the blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sins. Just keep looking at Jesus Christ crucified every day for light to overcome any darkness in this world.

Second, christians receive light from the Word of God according to Psalm 119:105 that says Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Daily meditate, read, and memorize the bible to receive great peace and strength. Psalm 119:165 says Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 1 promises that if you memorize and read the bible daily whatsoever you do will prosper (in other words if you daily memorize the bible, God will fix every problem in your life and deliver you from all your troubles).

Third, christians receive light from fellow believers in Jesus at their local church according to Philippians 2:15 that says That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world. Attend your local church every week to receive light from your fellow believers that shine the light of Jesus to us through preaching, teaching, and counseling.

Christians should shine their lights everywhere to bless people because Jesus said at Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

2) Christians Like Plants Need Heat To Be Blessed

Christians like plants need heat daily to survive. The bible says christians receive heat from the fire of the Word of God according to Jeremiah 23:29 that says Is not my Word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Also Jeremiah said at Jeremiah 20:9 Then said I, I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name. But His Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Let the Word of God be your heat source daily so you can be blessed and survive like plants. According to Psalm 119:11 stay warm and say Thy Word (Lord Jesus) have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. This is why King David said at Psalm 39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing (fervently memorizing God's Word) the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue.

And don't sin because sin will put out the fire of God. Sin makes people wax cold according to Matthew 24:12 that says And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Stay on fire for God and deny sin daily. Keep leaping for joy and rejoicing when you are persecuted for Jesus. Shout for joy at your nearest Walmart bathroom when people separate from you and want nothing of you because of Jesus. Determine to stay on fire for Jesus and let nothing wax your life cold.

Christians are like plants and need heat to survive. If I took a plant and deprived it of heat by placing it in a refrigerator all month, the plant would die. It would still die if I took it out of the refrigerator every day and watered it and gave it a little light but put the plant back every night into the refrigerator with no heat.

Like plants, christians need to daily remain by their heat source (the Word of God). If someone stops reading their bible for weeks and months they will wax cold, wither away, and perish. It's just the natural tendency of anything to cool down. If I turn off my space heater during a cold day, soon my house will cool down. Therefore stay warm daily and keep reading and memorizing your bible, while you keep attending your local church to hear God's Word.

Don't get cold or lukewarm. Instead of being cold as ice, stay hot and on fire for Jesus. Keep witnessing and winning souls to the Lord Jesus. Keep witnessing Jesus everywhere. Keep praying for everyone with a mustard seed of faith and rejoice when all your prayers are answered. Don't just talk to people in your church only on Sunday. Show kindness to everyone everywhere and at your church all week.

Stay hot and on fire for Jesus by sending uplifting postcards and notes of kindness to all your brothers and sisters in Jesus all week long. Make encouraging phone calls to your brothers and sisters in the Lord always. Tell everyone I'm praying for you and asking Jesus to bless you. Tell them Is there anything I can do to bless you? Can I take you to Cracker Barrel and bless you with a meal? When we fellowship and rejoice with our brothers and sisters in Jesus, we will stay on fire for God with strength, peace, and joy. We are the branches of God and if we rub our branches together during fellowship we'll get a Holy Ghost fire and keep warm.

Have compassion and be concerned about people, making a difference. Jude 22 says And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. And I pray in Jesus name everyone will obey 1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. In other words contribute to the heat of your local church and to everyone around you, so people can grow and be blessed like plants. Decide to obey 1 Peter 1:22 that says Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.

3) Christians Like Plants Need Water To Be Blessed

Christians like plants daily need water to be blessed and survive. Notice how plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create food for survival by photosynthesis. First plants use chlorophyll (a green pigment) in their leaves to absorb sunlight for energy to convert water from their roots and carbon dioxide from the air into sugar (food for growth) and oxygen. Notice that God made plants to convert light into oxygen so people can breath and survive. The plants allow people to breath oxygen and live on this earth. Human activities create carbon dioxide that allow the plants to survive.

Like plants, christians need to daily receive their water source (the Word Of God) stated at Ephesians 5:26. That He (Jesus) might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word. And if we daily read and memorize the bible, like plants we will receive food and strength to live.  Notice that the bible also says that the Word of God is our necessary food to survive. Job 23:12 says Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. Jeremiah 15:16 says Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy Word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

And finally note that another source of water for survival is the Lord Jesus Christ. Just look daily to Jesus Christ crucified saying I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus to overcome the devil and survive like the plants. Jesus told us that He is our water source at John 4:13 saying Whosoever drinketh of this water (from Jacob's well) shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Plants need water to survive. Christians also need to look at Jesus Christ crucified to survive. Thank you Lord Jesus for the well of water you've made available to all people that springs up into everlasting life.

When Jesus was whipped with 39 stripes before His crucifixion, it was because punishment by flogging or whipping was limited by law to 40 stripes save 1. Now the reason Jesus took 39 stripes was so that saints could rejoice daily and say with Jesus' stripes I am healed. Medical science has proven that there are 39 categories of every illness that ever existed. Look this up on google and you will see that there are 39 categories of sickness. Therefore the 39 stripes that Jesus took at the cross of Calvary cover every type of sickness anyone could ever have and truly when we say daily I am crucified with Jesus Christ we can claim the promise of Isaiah 53:5 that with Jesus' stripes we are healed. Isaiah 1:18 says Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength.
