Studying Nehemiah's 12 Gates To Learn About The Christian Life: The Valley Gate

The Valley Gate

The fourth gate that speaks about the christian life is the valley gate. After getting saved at the sheep gate, witnessing for Jesus at the fish gate, and walking in the old ways at the old gate, christians should become humble at the valley gate pictured above. The valley gate represents the spiritual quality of humility and lowliness. James 4:6 says But He (the Lord Jesus) giveth more grace, Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. James 4:10 says Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

Become humble like Paul who said at Ephesians 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. Become humble like John the Baptist who said at John 3:30 He (Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease. If you become humble giving the glory to the Lord Jesus, God will strengthen and revive you according to Isaiah 57:15. For thus saith the high and lofty one that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. God strengthens and revives contrite sinners who repent and decide to stop sinning.

Become humble, blessed, and strengthened today with our Lord Jesus
Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Nehemiah 3:13 says The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits on the wall unto the dung gate. Note that seven verses from Nehemiah 3:6-12 described the old gate but only one verse at Nehemiah 3:13 described the valley gate. Only Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah built the valley gate. There are not as many named workers at the valley gate as the number of named workers at the old gate. This is because most christians don't want to be humble. Humility is not a popular word among christians. Most christians like self approval with their name in lights. Instead choose to be humble where our Lord Jesus gets the glory and you will be blessed with joy, peace, and strength.

Brother Bob chose to be humble and build the valley gate giving our Lord Jesus all the praise. Brother Bob's name is not in the limelight and only Jesus gets the glory. Like Hanun and the citizens of Zanoah, Brother Bob lives in a poor humble, little apartment in Reynoldsburg, Ohio where Jesus gets all the glory. It's a great joy to write preachbrotherbob blog and bless half a million people in many countries everywhere with revelations about our Lord Jesus. Give your life purpose and meaning. Witness Jesus everywhere and rejoice when lost sinners get saved with Jesus.

Pictured Above Note That The City Of Zanoah
Was Located In A Valley

The inhabitants from the city of Zanoah helped only one person named Hanun build the valley gate. Joshua 15:33 tells us that the city of Zanoah is located in the low country valley of Judah. Therefore the citizens of Zanoah were humble and willing to build the valley gate. Joshua 15:33 says And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah, and Zanoah, and Engannim, Tappuah, and Enam.

The Hebrew meanings for Hanun and Zanoah relate to humility. Hanun means gracious and Zanoah means to cast off. Hanun was gracious and humble, willing to build the valley gate because God gives grace to the humble. The citizens of Zanoah were humble and willing to build the valley gate because they cast off their sinful desires for their flesh and this fading world.

The inhabitants of Zanoah that built the valley gate were unnamed humble servants that allowed the Lord Jesus to get the praise and glory. The citizens of Zanoah obeyed Jesus' command at Luke 9:23 that says If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Be humble like the citizens of Zanoah, willing to work for our Lord Jesus, witnessing Jesus everywhere.

Cast off the cares of this world and the sinful desires of your flesh so you can effectively witness Jesus and save lost sinners souls. Luke 9:62 says And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Be like Paul who said at Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. The way to effectively deny your flesh and the temporary pleasures of this world is to study the Word of God, pray, and fellowship at your local church. Be like the citizens of Zanoah and cast off your sinful flesh and worldly desires while you study God's Word, pray, and fellowship. Then you will become a blessed witness for Jesus able to build God's valley gate.

Don't Be Like The Citizens Of Meroz Who Were Not Humble
The Citizens of Meroz Refused To Help God And Build God's Valley Gate

Don't be like the citizens of Meroz who were proud instead of humble. The citizens of Meroz refused to help Deborah and Barak fight against the Canaanite leaders Jabin and Sisera. The Hebrew meaning for Meroz is a secret isolated proud refuge. God cursed the proud citizens of Meroz because they refused to be humble and bless God's people at the valley gate.

Judges 5:23 speaks about the citizens of Meroz saying Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the Lord, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty. Don't be lazy like the citizens of Meroz and refuse to help poor widows, orphans, and God's preachers save lost sinners from this troubled world. Proverbs 23:21 says For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Don't be proud like the citizens of Meroz and get cursed by God because you refused to help God's people. Proverbs 16:18 says Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 11:2 says When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Proverbs 29:23 says A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Proverbs 18:12 says Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humilty. Instead be humble like the citizens of Zanoah and be honoured forever in heaven and on this earth as a blessed soul winner that saved multitudes for our Lord Jesus.

The Many Benefits Of Being Humble And Willing To Build God's Valley Gate

Note the many benefits that christians receive when they are humble and willing to build God's valley gate. Proverbs 19:17 says He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. In other words if you just pity the poor (not pay the poor with money), you are working on God's timeclock and God will pay you with a great reward.

Take time to be humble and say encouraging words to everyone. A kind word could save a person's life. Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Pray in the name of Jesus for any need, and God will fix any problem. Jesus said at John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name (Jesus), I will do it. In other words if you are humble and live holy, you will ask for the right things and Jesus will do it and bless you.

Psalm 41:1 says Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. Notice again if you just consider the poor (not pay the poor with money), taking time to call, text, or email the poor with kind encouraging words of comfort and visit the poor, willing to help them overcome their troubles, you will receive the following benefits. The Lord Jesus will preserve you, keep you alive, bless you, deliver you from the will of your enemies, strengthen you, and heal you of any sickness.

But note that 1 John 3:17 says But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? In other words if you have the money to bless the poor, it's wrong to ignore the poor and not help them. To any millionaire reading this, remember that you can't take your money with you to heaven. 1 Timothy 6:7 says For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Instead bless the poor and build treasure in heaven that will never fade away. Jesus said at Mark 10:21 if you give to the poor, you will have treasure in heaven. Jesus said at Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

Jesus told the rich young ruler to give to the poor to build treasure in heaven at Mark 10:21: One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Be like the millionaire CT Studd who gave away all his money to bless George Muller and his orphans with food and clothing, choosing to win souls to our Lord Jesus as a missionary in Africa. CT Studd said "Only one life twill soon be past, only what's done for Jesus Christ will last. Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell, but I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell."

If a billionaire wastes his money building space rockets that are useless, how dwelleth the love of God in him? I pray in Jesus name that these billionaires use their money to bless the poor and help needy widows and orphans on this earth. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Jesus said at Matthew 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

The Lord Jesus wants us to be humble, bow down, and only exalt the Lord Jesus. It's wrong to try to rise up into God's territory in space flying to the moon and Mars to only discover space rocks. What a waste of time and money. When Nimrod tried to rise up above God in space by building the tower of Babel, God confused Nimrod and his followers creating many different languages. Instead be humble and give to the poor and God will exalt you with many great blessings. Jesus said at Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased (brought low); and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

The Many Benefits Of Being Humble And Willing To Build God's Valley Gate

Another benefit of being humble willing to build God's valley gate is that God will hear your prayers and not forget your requests for mercy and deliverance. Just keep being humble with continual prayer requests and Jesus will grant and give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 9:12 says When He (the Lord Jesus) maketh inquisition for blood, He remembereth them: He forgetteth not the cry of the humble. Psalm 10:17 says Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

Humility is related to the fear of the Lord. You can't fear God without being humble. A proud arrogant person does not fear God. Only humble meek people fear God. And when you fear God, you will become wise with Jesus who is better than silver, gold, rubies, and anything you could desire. With Jesus who is wisdom according to 1 Corinthians 1:30 and Proverbs 3:14-17 christians receive length of days, riches and honour, along with pleasantness and peace. If you choose to fear God and become humble by daily rejoicing while you keep praying and worshipping the Lord Jesus, God will also give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 says Delight thyself also in the Lord: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Keep praying and never quit serving the Lord Jesus. It's never a bad time to pray. Psalm 55:17 says Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He (the Lord Jesus) shall hear my voice.

Remember if you just keep trying to attain your desires and don't quit, you will be victorious and accomplish all your goals. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they quit. Quitters never win and winners never quit. Psalm 55:22 says Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

The Many Benefits Of Being Humble And Willing To Build God's Valley Gate

Note some more benefits of being humble and willing to build God's valley gate. Proverbs 22:4 says By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. When anyone is humble, fears the Lord Jesus and trembles with reverence at God's holy Word, the Lord Jesus will always be present with comfort, blessing that person with unspeakable joy.

Isaiah 66:5 says Hear the Word of the Lord, ye that tremble at His Word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. Hebrews 13:5 says Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. In other words when anyone becomes humble, repents, prays, and stops sinning, the Lord Jesus will heal and bless them. It's a blessing to be humble, receiving riches, honour, and life. Proverbs 3:34 says Surely He scorneth the scorners: but He giveth grace unto the lowly. Be more concerned about other people's needs instead of your own selfish desires. Deny yourself and be humble while you obey Philippians 2:3: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Be Like Manasseh, Uzziah, And Jesus
Who Were Willing To Build God's Valley Gate

Manasseh got blessed after he humbled himself and was willing to build God's valley gate. Manasseh was a wicked king who caused his own children to pass through the fire, used enchantments, and worked with witches and wizards. But after Manasseh humbled himself when he was bound with fetters (chains), the Lord Jesus blessed Manasseh to become king again. It pays to be humble and fear God.

Read how Manasseh became a blessed king when he chose to be meek and humble. 2 Chronicles 33:6 says And he (Manasseh) caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil int he sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.  2 Chronicles 33:11 says Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the King of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto Him: and he was intreated of Him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord He was God.

Uzziah got blessed for being humble when he built the valley gate. 2 Chronicles 26:9 says Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them. Note that the Hebrew meaning for Uzziah is strength from the Lord. Because Uzziah was humble and allowed the Lord Jesus to give him strength, he was blessed to build the valley gate.

Be like Jesus who was the greatest servant to ever build God's valley gate when He was willing to die on the cross of Calvary to save lost sinners everywhere. Jesus got blessed for being humble when God gave the Lord Jesus a name that is above every name. Philippians 2:5 says Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth (the devil will bow to Jesus); And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Eventually every sinner (even the devil) will be humbled and bow to Jesus. It's better to bow now to Jesus and get saved being blessed to enter the peaceful kingdom of God. Don't wait to bow to Jesus at the great white throne judgment and be cursed with torment forever in the lake of fire. Isaiah 2:11 says that soon everything (people, angels, and the devil) will be humbled where only the Lord Jesus will be exalted. Isaiah 2:11 says The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord (Jesus) alone shall be exalted in that day.

If you want to have peaceful rest, be humble like Jesus, willing to build God's valley gate while you witness Jesus everywhere to lost sinners all over this earth. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Therefore when christians become meek and humble, they receive peaceful rest.

Be Like Peter Who Was Willing To Build God's Valley Gate

Peter told us to be humble and willing to build God's valley gate to receive blessings. 1 Peter 5:5 says Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

When you humble yourself in the low valleys of this troubled world, Jesus will bless you to overcome all your troubles so you can comfort others with wisdom to overcome this troubled world. 2 Corinthians 1:3 says Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Jesus will bless you with unspeakable joy when you are willing to build God's valley gate by helping poor widows, orphans, and lost sinners hear your blessed preaching about Jesus. Hebrews 12:11 speaks about blessings received when you serve Jesus in the low valleys of this world. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Psalm 116:6 says The Lord preserveth the simple, I was brought low, and He (the Lord Jesus) helped me.

Be Humble Like A Little Child Willing To Build God's Valley Gate
And The Lord Jesus Will Give You A Great Reward

Be humble like a little child willing to build God's valley gate and the Lord Jesus will give you a great reward. Jesus said at Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. When we become humble like little children who often are unnoticed, the Lord Jesus will get the glory, remember us, and give us a great reward. Hebrews 6:10 says For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Studying Nehemiah's 12 Gates To Learn About The Christian Life: The Old Gate

The Old Gate

The third gate that speaks about the christian life is the old gate. After getting saved at the sheep gate and witnessing Jesus everywhere at the fish gate, christians need to learn about the old paths of christianity at the old gate. Jeremiah 6:16 says Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Proverbs 22:28 says Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. Walk in the old paths for Jesus and witness Jesus everywhere. Tell people everywhere Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

We don't need a new ungodly way of reaching people with Jesus. The old blessed ways of reaching people with Jesus will save lost sinners. Keep preaching that the Lord Jesus was born from a virgin, died on the cross of Calvary, was buried, and rose again after three days. Keep telling people that the rapture will soon happen where christians will be caught up out of this troubled world to be with Jesus. Keep telling everyone that the most powerful weapon against the devil is the blood of Jesus. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. Ask the angels of God to cover your home, car, job, and everywhere you go in the blood of Jesus to overcome the devil. We can't see the blood of Jesus but the blood of Jesus is real and will overcome any trouble, worry, or sickness from the devil.

Keep telling everyone to look to the cross of Calvary to receive power to overcome the troubles of this world. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it (the cross of Calvary) is the power of God. Keep telling the devil Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever, and my troubles have been destroyed by Jesus at the cross of Calvary. New songs for Jesus are blessed. But we should keep singing the old hymns to get blessed like Amazing Grace, Blessed Assurance, and Are You Washed In The Blood Of The Lamb (Jesus).

Only read the infallible, perfect 1611 KJV bible that has no mistakes. Tell everyone that any translated bible version like the NIV, NKJV, NASB, NLT, RSV, ESV, and hundreds of other false translated bibles should not be studied or read. These translated bibles deny that Jesus is God, the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus, and have errors. The devil attacks the KJV bible because God has magnified the KJV Word of God above the name of Jesus. Psalm 138:2 says I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for the truth: for thou hast magnified thy Word above all thy name. If it's new it's not true. If it's true it's not new.

The 1611 KJV bible is the best translation of the bible because it was the 7th English translation after Jesus died on the cross. Psalm 12:6 says The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Note that the 6 prior English bible translations leading up to the 7th pure and perfect 1611 KJV bible translation are listed as follows: 1) Tyndale 2) Matthew 3) Coverdale 4) Geneva 5) Bishops and 6) Great Bible. Also 6 historical bible translations leading up to the 7th pure and perfect 1611 KJV bible translation are listed as follows: 1) Hebrew 2) Aramaic 3) Syriac in Antioch 4) Greek 5) Latin and 6) German by Luther.

Therefore preach, read, and study only from a 1611 KJV bible (purified seven times) that is the 7th best, pure, and perfect translation that God has preserved from this generation for ever. According to Revelation 3:10, the Philadelphia church that existed during 1611 KEPT and preserved the perfect KJV translation from this generation forever. The scripture says Because thou (the Philadelphia church) hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Nehemiah 3:6-12 Speaks About The Old Gate's Ancient Paths

Nehemiah 3:6 tells us who repaired and built the old gate in Jerusalem. Moreover the old gate repaired Jehoiada the son of Paseah, and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. Jehoiada and Meshullam built the old gate because they had godly fathers that walked in the blessed old ways.

Note the Hebrew meanings for the builders of the old gate. Jehoiada means God knows. Paseah means a lame limper like Jacob who said Lord Jesus I won't let you go until you bless me. Jehoiada built the old gate because Paseah taught him the old ways of never quitting by continual prayer. Meshullam means befriended and rewarded for being a peacemaker. Besodeiah means in the counsel or assembly of God. Meshullam got rewarded for being a peacemaker with many friends who built the old gate because Besodeiah taught him the old ways of fellowshipping and assembling together in prayer to receive power.

Nehemiah 3:7 names other builders of the old gate. And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor on this side (beyond) the river. Melatiah means God delivered. Jadon means God has heard because the people were thankful. Meronothite means a joyful shouter. Note that Melatiah and Jadon came from the cities of Gibeon and Mizpah that walked in the old ways of God. Gibeon means a hill city located by Mizpah that means a watchtower.

Melatiah got delivered and Jadon who was thankful built the old gate because they remembered the old ways taught at Gibeon and Mizpah. They remembered to always watch and pray while they joyfully shouted about their victory over this troubled world. Luke 21:36 says Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Note that Melatiah and Jadon built the old gate unto the throne of the governor on this side (note that the Hebrew meaning for on this side is beyond) the river. In other words the governor beyond the Jordan river of Israel in a foreign land allowed the old gate to be built in his country. This foreign governor and the people of Gibeon and Mizpah prospered because they respected Jerusalem and blessed Israel by encouraging people to build the old gate. Psalm 122:6 says Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. God told Abram at Genesis 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation (Israel), and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I wlll bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Remember any nation that blesses Israel and the Jews will be blessed. Any nation that curses Israel and the Jews will be cursed. It has been recorded that the reason that terrorists attacked and destroyed the World Trade Center in New York City USA on September 11, 2001 was because President George Bush had agreed with Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia to declare a Palestinian state in Israel on September 11, 2001. God did not allow this to happen because when any nation fights Israel, they fight against God and will lose. Zechariah 12:9 says And it shall come to pass in that day, that I (the Lord Jesus) will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Click the following link below proving that President George W. Bush
Planned To Make A Palestinian State on September 11, 2001
Per Agreement With Prince Bandar Of Saudi Arabia

The reason that New Orleans, Louisana suffered from Hurricane Katrina was because President Bush ordered all the Jews to leave Gaza, Israel. The day after the last Jew was ordered to leave Gaza, Israel, Hurricane Katrina landed in New Orleans, Louisana. It was wrong for President Clinton to give Gaza and the West Bank to the Muslims. The Jews don't just occupy Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. The Jews own Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. Genesis 15:18 says In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

Just days after President Barack Obama insisted that Israel must surrender lands it won through military victory with its enemies, around 200 people were killed by a tornado in Joplin, Missouri. Six of the seven costliest hurricanes in US History followed calls by US officials for Israel to make land concessions in bids for peace with its neighbors, and three of the four largest tornado outbreaks followed such calls.

Per God's covenant, Israel doesn't just occupy Gaza and the West Bank. Israel owns all the land from Egypt to the Euphrates river in Iraq including Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emerites, Yemen, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Gaza, and the West Bank. Per God's covenant with Abram, the Jews, and Israel, Israel doesn't just occupy this land. Israel owns this land. Therefore when any nation fights against Israel, they fight against God and will lose. All the saved saints will soon rule and reign with our Lord Jesus in Jerusalem during the kingdom of heaven on this earth.

Nehemiah 3:8 names some more builders of the old gate. Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, of the goldsmiths. Next unto him also repaired Hananiah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall. Uzziel means God is my strength. Harhaiah means fear of God. Hananiah means gracious. Uzziel received strength to build the old gate because Harhaiah taught him the old ways of fearing God to receive blessings. Hananiah received grace to build the old gate because his father was an apothecary (pharmacist) that offered sweet smelling prayers of incense to God.

The prayers of saints are offered with incense by angels before the throne of God. Revelation 8:3 says And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. Note that a censer is a vessel used to burn sweet smelling incense during a religious ceremony.

Nehemiah 3:9 says And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem. Rephaiah means God heals. Hur means a noble man washed white as snow by the blood of Jesus. Rephaiah who was a doctor using medicine built the old gate because Hur taught him the old ways about how the blood of Jesus washes away our sins and makes us white as snow. Isaiah 1:18 says Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Notice that all types of people joined together to build the gates of Jerusalem and witness the Lord Jesus everywhere. Pictured above goldsmiths, apothecaries who were pharmacists, doctors, rulers, priests, merchants and children all were willing to help build the gates of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 3:32 says And between the going up of the corner unto the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants. The gates of Jerusalem were not built by professional gatebuilders. The gates of Jerusalem were built by anyone who was available and willing to help build the gates.

Like the builders of the old gate, Are you willing to work for our Lord Jesus and witness Jesus everywhere? Christians might come from different backgrounds but christians have a common goal to witness the Lord Jesus everywhere. Christians should go the extra mile to encourage their brothers and sisters in the Lord. Galatians 6:10 says As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Let's all obey Jesus' command at Mark 16:15 that says Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Like the goldsmiths, apothecaries, doctors, and rulers that built the old gate, every christian has a part in witnessing Jesus everywhere. 1 Corinthians 12:14 says For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole body were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary.

Don't Be Like Rehoboam Who Listened To The Young Rulers New Ways
Instead Of The Wise Elders Old Established Ways

Don't be like Rehoboam who listened to the young rulers new ways instead of the wise elders old established ways. Rehoboam forsook the old blessed ways and ruled the people with a heavy yoke with no mercy. God punished Rehoboam for failing to follow the old ways. Rehoboam lost ten tribes of Israel to Jeroboam where only Judah and Benjamin remained loyal to Rehoboam.

It's interesting that Rehoboam's Hebrew name means wide and broadened. Rehoboam chose the wide broad new way that leads to destruction instead of the strait narrow old way that leads to life. Matthew 7:13 says Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Don't be like Rehoboam and forsake the Lord Jesus and the blessed old ways. Choose to follow the blessed old ways of the KJV bible, get saved, and witness the Lord Jesus everywhere.

The story of how Rehoboam forsook the old blessed counsel of the old men is at 1 Kings 12:6. And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people? And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever. But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him. And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

1 Kings 12:10 goes on to say And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins. And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

Nehemiah 3:10 names some more builders of the old gate. And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah. Jedaiah means one who is praised because he knows God. Harumaph means dull of understanding with no perception. Hattush means assembled and forsaking sin. Hashabniah means thinking about God. Hattush who assembled and forsook sin, was willing to build the old gate because his father Hashabniah taught him the old ways about always remembering God.

Even though Jedaiah's father Harumaph was dull of understanding with no perception, Jedaiah chose to follow the Lord Jesus after he learned the blessed old ways about God. Note that Jedaiah first repaired the old gate by his own house before he repaired the old gate around other people's houses. Like Jedaiah, first repair your own house and take the beam out of your eye before you try to take the mote out of your brother's eye. Don't find fault with other people when you have not considered your own faults. If you first forsake your own sinful ways, then you can help others to forsake their sinful ways. Remember that your worst enemy outside of the devil is yourself. Matthew 7:3 says And why beholdest thou the mote (twig) that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Be like Jedaiah and build the old gate around your house because your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost that needs to deny sin to receive peace and blessings from God. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. Work on yourself and try to stop sinning every day by studying the Word of God, praying, and attending your local church. Every day when you look in the mirror tell yourself Now what are you up to today?

And while you build the old gate around your home, reverence and praise the Lord Jesus daily to receive strength and blessings. Remember that Psalm 127:1 says Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Jesus is the vine and christians are the branches. Without the Lord Jesus we can do nothing. Jesus said at John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Praise Jesus daily with blessed hymns and spiritual songs to get blessed. David played a harp for Saul and Saul was refreshed. 1 Samuel 16:23 says And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. Ephesians 5:19 says Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Be like Jedaiah and build the old gate around your house by teaching your family to reverence and respect the Lord Jesus. Mothers and fathers teach your children to first learn to shew piety and respect to the Lord Jesus and the KJV bible at home. 1 Timothy 5:4 says But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety (reverence and respect to the Lord Jesus) at home, and to requite their parents (honor your parents by restoring them with kind deeds): for that is good and acceptable before God. Note the qualification for a bishop listed at 1 Timothy 3:4 that says One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity (being pure, holy, and reverencing the Lord Jesus). Proverbs 22:6 says Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Nehemiah 3:11 names some more builders of the old gate. Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hashub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired the other piece, and the tower of the furnaces. Malchijah means My king is the Lord Jesus. Harim means dedicated and devoted. Hashub means intelligent, thoughtful, and considerate. Pahathmoab means a governor of Moab who feared God. Malchijah who worshipped king Jesus was willing to build the old gate because his father Harim was dedicated and devoted to God. Hashub was intelligent, thoughtful, and considerate, willing to build the old gate because his father Pahathmoab was a foreign governor that feared God.

Note that Malchijah and Hashub repaired the tower of the furnaces. In other words they repaired the ovens and stoves for kitchens. They made sure that the kitchens of everyone's homes were dedicated to the Lord. Be like Malchijah and Hashub and dedicate your kitchen and your home to the Lord Jesus. Like the family pictured above dedicate your kitchen to the Lord Jesus. Every time you eat any meal with your family, pray and talk about the Lord Jesus and God's Word. Teach your children to always pray, bless the food, and thank Jesus for the food before you eat any meal.

Be like Brother Bob and dedicate your entire home to the Lord Jesus. Anoint all the doors of your house with olive oil in the name of Jesus. Place the name of Jesus in bold letters everywhere in your house: On the front, back, bedroom, and bathroom doors, on the refrigerator and freezer, in the attic, on your computer and cellphone, and in your car. The name of Jesus and the olive oil will protect your house and property from the devil and any theft or harm.

Jesus said that the name of Jesus will cast out the devil forbidding him to steal, kill, or destroy. Jesus said at Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils. Brother Bob has had the name of Jesus in bold letters on his front door wherever he lived for 40 years and nothing ever got stolen or harmed. Every time I close my door and see the name Jesus, the name Jesus gives me peace and comfort that my house is safe. The name of Jesus is better than any home security alarm for protection. Proverbs 18:10 says The name of the Lord (Jesus) is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Nehemiah 3:12 names some more builders of the old gate. And next unto him, repaired Shallum the son of Halohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters. Shallum means to recompense and make whole or complete. Halohesh means an enchanter that whispered and slandered. Even though Shallum had a wicked father Halohesh who was an enchanter that slandered, Shallum feared God's old ways and built the old gate while he became whole and complete.

Note that the two rulers of the half parts of Jerusalem named Rephaiah and Shallum were willing to work with the citizens and build the old gate. Even though Rephaiah and Shallum were rulers, they rolled up their sleeves, pitched in, helped build the old gate, and witnessed Jesus everywhere. These rulers didn't just supervise. These rulers worked and built the old gate. Be like Rephaiah and Shallum, willing to work and witness for Jesus everywhere. Jesus said at Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. My title is servant Brother Bob.

Don't be lazy. Write about Jesus on the internet, help your local church pastor and its members, visit the widows, orphans, and senior citizens. and call people with kind words of encouragement. Note the following scriptures that warn us not to be lazy. Proverbs 20:13 says Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. Proverbs 23:21 says For the drunkard and glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Note that Shallum was a blessed parent that taught his daughters to serve the Lord Jesus and help build the old gate. Be a blessed parent like Shallum and make it a family activity to serve the Lord Jesus while you build the old gates by witnessing Jesus everywhere. To any woman reading this bible study, be like the blessed daughters of Shallum pictured above who were willing to help build the old gate.

Proverbs 31:10 says Who can find a virtuous woman (called a strong, efficient, and valiant woman)? for her price is far above rubies. I pray in Jesus name that any woman reading this will become virtuous, strong, efficient, and valiant by working and witnessing for Jesus everywhere like the daughters of Shallum.

Final Thoughts About The Old Gate

I conclude this bible study with some final thoughts about the old gate and remembering the old ways of Jesus and the KJV bible. Hebrews 2:1 says Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip (escape from our minds). In other words keep meditating on bible scriptures daily, lest at any time we should let them slip and escape from our minds. Ransack the KJV bible. Meditate on God's Word morning, noon, and night. Rejoice about God's Word like you found buried treasure. Say Psalm 119:162 I rejoice at thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Don't be like the church of Ephesus who left their first love and forgot the blessed old ways of praying, witnessing for Jesus, and studying the Word of God. Jesus told the church of Ephesus at Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Finally be a good householder (master of your house) bringing forth out of your treasure things new and old. Matthew 13:52 says Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. The bible speaks about blessed new things. Christians will receive a white stone with a new name and dwell in a new heaven and a new earth in a city called the new Jerusalem.

But the bible also speaks about blessed old things. Keep singing the blessed old hymns and reading and preaching from that blessed old book called the 1611 KJV bible. The old ways of the KJV bible never get boring and outdated. There are infinite truths to learn about Jesus from the Word of God. The KJV bible is like a christmas present that is always new every time you study and read the bible. John 21:25 says And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written, Amen.

Christians will receive three names in heaven according to Revelation 3:12 (the name of God, the name new Jerusalem, and Jesus' new name). Jesus said Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. What a great joy to learn Jesus' new name in heaven.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength. Feel free to email Brother Bob anytime at rz9tlm@gmail.com or write to Brother Bob Malkin, 2233 Pinetree Lane, Apt. N., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. (614) 746-7071. Studying Nehemiah's 12 Gates To Learn About The Christian Life: The Fish Gate

The Fish Gate

The second gate that speaks about the christian life is the fish gate. The fish gate represents witnessing and soul winning. After salvation at the sheep gate, saved saints should enter the fish gate and become fishers of men, trying to win souls everywhere to Jesus. Jesus said at Matthew 4:19 Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Jesus said at Luke 14:23 Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Proverbs 11:30 says The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Be a soul winner for Jesus and a star that is remembered forever in heaven that is appreciated. Stars on this earth are forgotten. But soul winners in heaven are stars remembered forever that will hear lost sinners tell them "Thank you for saving us from hell and the lake of fire to receive peace forever with Jesus." Daniel 12:3 says And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

The only way to give your life meaning is to witness Jesus everywhere. I never met anyone that regretted getting saved with Jesus. Jesus always makes a person's life better. James 5:20 says Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. When you save a lost sinner, Jesus and the angels in heaven rejoice. Jesus said at Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

A sign that you have salvation with the Holy Ghost from the sheep gate occurs when you have a desire to witness Jesus everywhere and save lost sinners. Jesus said at Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Let's all obey Jude 22: And of some have compassion, making a difference; And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Be like Brother Bob and witness salvation with Jesus everywhere. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Nehemiah 3:3 speaks about the fish gate saying But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. Notice that many no name soul winners (the sons of Hassenaah) helped build the fish gate. These unnamed sons were humble and just lifted up the name of Jesus with no glory to themselves. When you witness Jesus be like these sons and John the Baptist saying John 3:30 He (Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease.

Note that the Hebrew meaning for Hassenaah is thorny one or hated one. Even though the father Hassenaah was thorny and hated, the sons of Hassenaah got saved and became witnesses for Jesus building the fish gate. Philippians 2:12 says that we all have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Even though a father is lost in hell, a son can get saved. Even though a mother is lost in hell, a daughter can get saved. These sons remind me of the sons of Korah. Even though Korah was wicked and rebelled against Moses, ending up in the pit of hell, the sons of Korah got blessed and saved forever in heaven. Numbers 26:11 says Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not. David dedicated Psalms 44-49 to the sons of Korah.

You might be a no name like the sons of Hassenaah but you can become a great soul winner for Jesus who is a great fisher of men at the fish gate. You don't need an educational degree or a popular name to witness Jesus everywhere. If anyone is willing, they can be a blessed soul winner for Jesus. Lost sinners in the world might say that you need a DD, PHD, Or BA from the seminary (cemetery) before you can become a soul winner. Tell these lost sinners that you're a DD (devil disturber) with a PHD (Pentecostal hairdoo) with a BA that is born again.

Be like Andrew pictured above and after salvation with Jesus, become a soul winner witnessing Jesus to your family and everyone. After Andrew got saved, Andrew witnessed Jesus to his brother Simon Peter and brought Peter to Jesus for salvation. John 1:40 says One of the two which heard John (the Baptist) speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Note how humble and blessed Andrew was. We don't hear much about Andrew, but Andrew was responsible for blessing around 8000 people. After Andrew led Peter to Jesus, Peter saved 3000 people. And Andrew presented the little boy with two small fishes and five barley loaves to Jesus that were used to bless around 5000 people. Let's all be humble like Andrew, staying out of the limelight, where only Jesus gets the glory, while multitudes of lost sinners get saved and blessed.

Saved Grandsons Of Wicked Grandfathers Helped Build The Fish Gate

Saved grandsons of wicked grandfathers helped build the fish gate. Nehemiah 3:4 says And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

Note the Hebrew meanings of the blessed saved grandsons and sons that built the fish gate. These grandsons were glad to be soul winners for Jesus. Meremoth means exaltations, elevations, and heights with Jesus. Urijah means the Lord Jesus is my light. But Koz (Hakkoz) means a thorn. In other words even though the grandson Meremoth had a wicked grandfather Koz who was a thorn, Meremoth got exalted and saved by the witness that Jesus is the Light from his blessed father Urijah and became a soul winner for Jesus at the fish gate.

The Hebrew meaning for Meshullam is befriended and rewarded for being a peacemaker. Berechiah means God blesses. Meshezabeel has a bad meaning where one is drawn out because the false god Baal is exalted. Again we see that even though the grandson Meshullam had a wicked grandfather Meshezabeel who worshipped Baal, Meshullam had a blessed father named Berechiah and got saved and befriended by Jesus and was rewarded for being a peacemaker who became a great soul winner at the fish gate. The Hebrew meaning for Zadok is just or righteous. But Baana means son of affliction. In other words even though Zadok had a wicked father Baana and lived in affliction, Zadok got saved and became a witness for Jesus.

Like Meremoth and Meshullam, Brother Bob got saved even though his grandparents did not believe in the Lord Jesus. Brother Bob chose to be a blessed grandson with our Lord Jesus and write preachbrotherbob to save lost souls all over this earth reaching half a million people with a witness for our Lord Jesus. Remember choose to serve our Lord Jesus instead of false traditions that worship false gods and the temporary fading pleasures of this world.

Ephesians 6:1 says Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Notice that children should obey their parents in the Lord. In other words when your parents tell you to deny the Lord Jesus, disobey them and continue to serve the Lord Jesus. Brother Bob's parents told him to deny Jesus and stop reading the Word of God. Brother Bob disobeyed these requests and will serve and honor my Lord Jesus forever while I study God's blessed 1611 KJV bible.

But God wants us to respect and honor our parents as long as their requests don't dishonour Jesus and the Word of God. Today Brother Bob respects his parents while he continues to serve our Lord Jesus. Exodus 20:12 says Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

The Tekoites Of Tekoa Helped Build The Fish Gate

The Tekoites of Tekoa helped build the fish gate. Nehemiah 3:5 says And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord. Notice that the citizens of Tekoa repaired the fish gate while the noble leaders of Tekoa refused to repair the fish gate. Don't let the ungodliness from the noble leaders of your country stop you from serving the Lord Jesus. Be like the citizens of Tekoa and get saved with Jesus while you witness Jesus everywhere to win lost souls building the fish gate. Be like Rahab who feared God and helped Joshua's spies, refusing to obey the ungodly laws of Jericho. Be like Daniel who feared God and kept praying, refusing to obey the ungodly law that forbid prayer in Persia.

Note that Tekoa is 11 miles away from Jerusalem. Tekoa was the hometown for the prophet Amos. The citizens of Tekoa were like the citizens of Jericho and were willing to travel from Tekoa to Jerusalem to witness Jesus everywhere and build the fish gate. These citizens of Tekoa were willing to leave ungodly Tekoa and work for God in Jerusalem. Be like these blessed citizens of Tekoa and obey Luke 9:62: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Keep your eyes on Jesus and off the people. Say Psalm 25:15: Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Unlike the nobles of Tekoa who refused to serve God, pray that your country will respect the Lord Jesus and make godly laws. Psalm 33:12 says Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance. Proverbs 14:34 says Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Psalm 9:17 says The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Note that the word Tekoa means trumpet blast from a shofar ram's horn for a battle signal. Be like the citizens of Tekoa and build God's fish gate while you blow the trumpet of God's voice in Zion to save lost sinners for Jesus everywhere.

Unlike The Nobles Of Tekoa, Nehemiah Was A Blessed Leader
Because He Was Humble, Helped Build The Fish Gate,
And Gave Credit To The Citizens And Not Himself

Unlike the noble leaders of Tekoa, Nehemiah was a blessed leader because he was humble, helped build the fish gate, and gave credit to the citizens and not himself. Nehemiah's name is not mentioned anywhere in Nehemiah chapter 3 because Nehemiah only gave credit to the citizens for building the gates of Jerusalem. A different worker named Nehemiah, the son of Azbuk is mentioned at Nehemiah 3:16. Nehemiah 1:1 says that the leader Nehemiah is the son of Hachaliah.

The leader Nehemiah gave all the glory to his workers that built the gates of Jerusalem. Nehemiah listed the names of many of his workers that built the gates of Jerusalem at Nehemiah chapter 3. Unlike Nehemiah, most CEO's of companies today are proud and have their names in lights instead of their workers. Let's all be humble like Nehemiah with our names in the background where only the Lord Jesus gets the credit while we encourage our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Be Like Jesus Who Was Willing To Leave The Comfort Zone Of Heaven
To Die On The Cross Of Calvary To Save Lost Sinners

Be like Jesus who was willing to leave the comfort zone of heaven to die on the cross of Calvary to save lost sinners. Jesus left the glory of heaven and came down to a barn in Bethlehem. Jesus left the presence of angels to come down to the presence of sinners. Jesus left the continuous praises of all the host of heaven and came down to this earth to hear the curses of men. Jesus left all the beauty of heaven to come down to all of the ugliness of this world and die for sinners on a wretched cross.

Hebrews 2:14 says Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Jesus could have stayed in heaven and let everyone go to hell. But the Lord Jesus loved lost sinners and was willing to die on the cross of Calvary to save lost sinners. 1 John 3:16 says Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Like the Lord Jesus, be willing to leave your comfort zones and witness Jesus everywhere. Jesus said at Mark 16:15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Be a good soldier for Jesus Christ and fight the good fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 says Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Become a servant like our Lord Jesus willing to witness Jesus everywhere. Jesus said at Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. Instead of having a title placed by your name like Bishop, Apostle, Lady, or Evangelist, tell everyone that you are a servant. Call me Servant Brother Bob willing to wash feet like Jesus who made Himself of no reputation so only the Lord Jesus could get the glory. Jesus told us if we are willing to be servants and wash feet, we will receive happiness, joy, and strength. Jesus said at John 13:17 after he washed the disciples' feet, If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
