What Shall I Do Then With Jesus Which Is Called Christ?
This Is The Most Important Question Ever Asked
How Will You Respond?
Pontius Pilate spoke the most important question ever asked at Matthew 27:22: What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? Friend reading this anywhere on earth, how will you respond to this question? It's the most important question to consider during your life on earth. What you do with Jesus on this earth will determine your eternal destiny. Trust Jesus and go to heaven with eternal peace. Deny Jesus and go to hell with eternal torment. People study four years in college for a career that lasts 50 years but they won't take 5 minutes to determine where they will spend eternity. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this on earth will get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, say that Jesus is their God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again.
On October 8, 1871 DL Moody preached Matthew 27:22 at Chicago, Illinois telling his congregation What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? He asked the congregation to consider what they should do with Jesus Christ and decide about their salvation the next week. When everyone left the church that day, the entire city of Chicago was on fire and DL Moody's church was burned with nothing left. When DL Moody saw the ruins of his church, he realized that he failed to offer salvation to 2000 people on October 8, 1871. DL Moody vowed that he would offer salvation during every sermon he preached regardless of the number of people. Like DL Moody, if you preach anywhere as a pastor or evangelist, always offer salvation to the people. The one person that gets saved by your offer of salvation could become a great soul winner that helps save millions of lost sinners all over this earth. Remember don't delay your response to an offer of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
The Four Responses To An Offer Of Salvation With Jesus
1) A Denial Of Jesus By Saved People Because Of Persecution
The first response to an offer of salvation with Jesus is a denial of Jesus by saved people during persecution and trouble. Peter who was saved denied Jesus when he faced trouble and the possibility of suffering death because he was a friend of Jesus. Peter's denial is recorded at Matthew 26:69 that says Now Peter sat without in the palace and a damsel came unto him saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee; But he denied before them all saying, I know not what thou sayest.
Peter denied knowing Jesus cussing like a sailor to a damsel in the palace, a maid on the porch, and then to Malchus (the man whose ear was injured by Peter and healed by Jesus; I'm sure Malchus remembered Peter). Then the rooster crowed twice after a thrice denial by Peter where you had a preachin' chicken and a chicken preacher face to face. Eventually Peter repented after Jesus saw him fishing naked with the disciples. Jesus forgave Peter and told Peter three times Lovest thou me to erase Peter's three time denial. After this Peter became a great preacher that won 3000 souls to Jesus after Pentecost with a great anointing where just his shadow would heal multitudes of people.
Don't be like Peter and deny Jesus because of persecution and the troubles of this world. Be a good soldier for Jesus and stay with Jesus through sufferings and troubles. 2 Timothy 2:3 says Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ; No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Remember Jesus said at Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it; For what is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself and be cast away. For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed when He shall come in His own glory and in His Father's and of the holy angels. Brother Bob denied his flesh in 1982 and left millions of dollars and his entire Jewish family to serve Jesus; As a result, Jesus saved Brother Bob and preachbrotherbob blog has reached half a million people all over this earth and multitudes of lost sinners have been saved with eternal life in heaven.
Don't be like Peter and sin where you blame your troubles on God. It's the devil that brings trouble. Remember James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double minded.
Someone once told a preacher I don't have to worry about the devil because he's bound. The preacher replied if the devil is bound before the millennium, he sure has a long chain. But eventually during the 1000 year millennium, the devil will be bound on the chain gang and sealed and locked in a bottomless pit falling with no bottom for 1000 years bound with a great chain. Revelation 20:1 says And I saw an angel come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon that old serpent which is the devil and satan and bound him 1000 years. And cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nations no more till the 1000 years should be fulfilled and after that he must be loosed a little season.

2) Remaining Neutral And Making No Decision About Jesus That Is A Rejection
The second response to an offer of salvation with Jesus is remaining neutral and making no decision about Jesus that is a rejection. Pontius Pilate the politician is an example of someone who rejected Jesus because he made no decision about Jesus by washing his hands of the matter. Matthew 27:24 says When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude saying I am innocent of the blood of this just person; See ye to it.
When you make no decision about Jesus like Pilate you reject Jesus; These neutral people about Jesus always say If Jesus makes you happy Robert I'm glad for you which amounts to a rejection. Remember if you are not for Jesus, you are against Jesus. Therefore if you remain neutral about Jesus as your Lord, you have rejected Jesus. Jesus said at Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Don't be lukewarm neutral about Jesus like Pilate where Jesus will reject you. Jesus said at Revelation 3:15 I know thy works that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot; So then because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Don't be like Pilate and make no decision about Jesus to avoid offending people because you love the temporary fame and flattery of this fading world. Instead be like Joshua who chose to serve the Lord looking forward to eternal rewards of peace and joy in heaven. Like Joshua, Brother Bob says Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; Whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Be like Brother Bob who did not remain neutral about Jesus but chose Jesus and left millions of dollars to witness Jesus everywhere on this earth and save lost sinners. When you choose Jesus instead of the fading pleasures of this world that only last for a season rejoice and say Mark 10:29: And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

3) Betraying Jesus Because Of The Love Of Money
The third response to an offer of salvation with Jesus is betraying Jesus because of the love of money. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus because he loved 30 pieces of silver more than the Lord Jesus. Matthew 26:14 says Then one of the twelve called Judas Iscariot went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me and I will deliver Him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver; And from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
Don't be like Judas and sell Jesus for a paycheck. Don't choose the fame and glamour of this fading world instead of eternal joy with Jesus. Remember earthly fame is a like a snowflake on a river. A moment seen then gone forever. The bible tells us that we can either serve Jesus or serve money: You can't serve both Jesus and money. Luke 16:13 says No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will choose to serve Jesus instead of serving money like Judas.
Money needed to buy food and clothes is not bad; It's the love of money that's bad; 1 Timothy 6:10 says For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Don't let the love of money create sorrow in your life; Instead choose to serve Jesus, rejoicing while you bless the poor fatherless orphans and widows in this world. When you've blessed and done it unto the least of them, you've done it unto Jesus (Matthew 25:40).
Remember James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Don't be stingy; Build treasure in heaven that lasts forever by giving to the poor stated by our Lord Jesus at Mark 10:21. Rejoice and say Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Let's all choose to obey Paul's wise words at Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
The Four Responses to An Offer Of Salvation With Jesus
4) Believing Jesus While You Accept Salvation And Eternal Life
The fourth and best response to an offer of salvation with Jesus is believing that Jesus is God who died on the cross, was buried, and rose again while you repent and get saved. The Roman centurion who watched Jesus die on the cross believed Jesus and got saved. Matthew 27:54 says Now when the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus saw the earthquake and those things that were done, they feared greatly saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
Like this centurion, daily look at the cross of Jesus to get saved from all your troubles on this earth. Instead of alcohol, drugs, and fornication to solve your problems, by faith place daily all your troubles on the cross of Jesus (the same yesterday, today, and forever) and your problems will disappear. Say daily I am crucified with Jesus Christ and by faith with your heart see your problems daily destroyed on the cross with Jesus (Hebrews 2:14). Then praise Jesus daily for dying on the cross for us all and giving us a place to daily place our troubles. Right now thank our Lord Jesus for taking away our filthy sins and giving us His perfect righteousness. Rejoice and say 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He (the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great peace, joy, and strength.
