Four Voices Saying Win Souls To Jesus

THE MACEDONIAN CALL

1) The Voice From Without

The first voice saying win souls to Jesus is the voice from without (the Macedonian call) of people all around us. Listen and you will hear these people saying come over into our country, help us, and tell us about the Lord Jesus. Paul heard the Macedonian call and was willing to travel everywhere to help lost sinners and tell them about the Lord Jesus. Acts 16:9 says And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

Like Paul, can you hear the Macedonian call of people all around you (at Walmart, in your neighborhood, at the laundromat, on your job, at Cracker Barrel, and all over this earth) saying help us and tell us about the Lord Jesus. Brother Bob has heard the Macedonian call of people in many nations that want to learn about the Lord Jesus saying help us that read preachbrotherbob. I'm determined to keep writing for Jesus until I leave this earth and tell people everywhere to get saved, repent, stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Like Brother Bob, use this internet (by blogs, emails, and texts) to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus with people all over this earth and win souls.

To give your life meaning and purpose win souls to the Lord Jesus. People that are selfish and don't win any souls to Jesus get bored with life and experience empty meaningless lives. But if your goal is to win souls, your life will be full of joy and peace. Brother Bob has reached half a million people all over this earth with the message of our Lord Jesus. My goal is to reach 1 million people with the gospel of our Lord Jesus before I leave this earth.  Proverbs 11:30 says The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Everyone should win at least one soul to the Lord Jesus every year. There is so much joy to see a lost sinner get saved and live for Jesus. Jesus said at Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

James 5:20 says Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. In other words, if you witness and save a soul, you save that person from death and prevent any harm he could have done to multitudes. When anyone receives the Lord Jesus, they always become a better person.  Let's obey the Lord's command at Luke 14:23: And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Remember when someone took time to tell you about the Lord Jesus. Therefore take time to tell people everywhere about the Lord Jesus.

Pictured above can you hear the voice from without all around you saying help us and tell us about Jesus. People are saying Psalm 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. These people are saying Psalm 142:7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Let's help these people and obey Jude 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Let's help billions of lost people all around us and tell them about the Lord Jesus. A sure sign that you are saved with the Holy Ghost is when you want to witness Jesus everywhere to everyone in the uttermost parts of this earth. Jesus said at Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. In other words, you know that you have the Holy Ghost when you have a desire to win souls by telling people all over this earth about Jesus.

2) The Voice From Within

The second voice saying win souls to Jesus is the voice from within our hearts desiring to see souls saved all around us. The Word speaks about the voice from within our hearts at Romans 10:1 saying Brethren, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

King David spoke about this voice from within our hearts to win souls at Psalm 51:10 saying Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit (Now notice the result after you obey the voice from within your cleansed heart). Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Like Paul, listen to the voice from within to save souls and become a debtor to offer salvation with our Lord Jesus to everyone around you. Paul said at Romans 1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise. So as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. In other words, like Paul, owe a debt to every lost sinner around you all over this earth to tell them about the Lord Jesus and save their souls.

3) The Voice From Above

The third voice saying win souls to Jesus is the voice from above seen at Isaiah 6:8 that says Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I: send me. And He (the Lord Jesus) said, Go, and tell this people. Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Anyone reading this, can you hear God's voice from above calling Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Like Isaiah, let's all say Here am I: send me. I'm willing to go and tell people everywhere about the Lord Jesus and how to be saved. Friends time is short and our lives are like a vapour that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Ephesians 5:16 tells us Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Let's get busy and tell people everywhere how to get saved because after this short life on earth, it's either eternity in heaven with Jesus or hell without Jesus.

Tell people everywhere to repent, stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Let everyone know to say every day I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Let everyone know to tell the devil daily with just a mustard seed of faith that the blood of Jesus has defeated the devil, evil must pass over me, and the blood of Jesus has cleansed me of all my sins.

4) The Voice From Beneath

The final fourth voice saying win souls to Jesus is the voice from beneath recorded in a letter from hell by the rich man Dives at Luke 16:27: Then he (the rich man in hell) said, I pray thee therefore, father (Abraham), that thou wouldst send him (Lazarus the beggar) to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest thy also come into this place of torment.

Right now billions of lost souls in hell are saying please send someone to everyone alive on the earth and tell them about the Lord Jesus and how to be saved so no one has to come to this place of torment called hell. These people in hell are telling us to warn everyone to escape the two deaths experienced by billions that reject the Lord Jesus and refuse to believe the gospel about Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. Brother Bob has heard this fourth voice from beneath and says instead of dying in hell and the second death of the lake of fire, get saved and have victory over the second death with the Lord Jesus, receiving eternal life with peace and joy forevermore.

Check out the two poems below telling us to win souls to Jesus

Lead Me To Some Soul Today
By Will Houghton

Lead me to some soul today
Teach me Lord just what to say
Friends of mine are lost in sin
And can not find their way

Few there are who seem to care
Few there are who pray
Melt my heart; Fill my life
Give me one soul a day

A blessed poem by an unknown author telling us to win souls to Jesus

Let me see this world dear Lord
As though I was looking through your eyes
A world of men who don't want you Lord
But a world for which you died

Let me stand high above my petty problems
And reach for souls hellbound eternally
For if once I could see this world the way you see
I'd just know I'd serve you more faithfully

I pray in Jesus name this little bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength and compels everyone to win souls to our Lord Jesus Christ. Josiah: A Blessed King; Better Than Anyone Anytime, Except Jesus

Outside Of Jesus, Josiah Is The Best King
That Ever Lived Or Will Ever Live
Proven By 2 Kings 23:25

Today, let's look at Josiah; A blessed King; Better than anyone anytime, except Jesus. This is proven by 2 Kings 23:25 that says And like unto him (Josiah) was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses, neither after him arose there any like him. According to the Word of God, outside of Jesus, Josiah is the best King that ever lived or will ever live. Therefore, let's see what made King Josiah so great.

If you ask anyone who do you think outside of Jesus is the greatest King that ever lived, most people will say David or Solomon. But, David had faults and committed adultery with Bathsheba. planning the death of her husband Uriah the Hittite in the front lines of battle. Solomon also had faults and began to worship idols to please 1000 heathen women. But, Josiah did everything right and outside of Jesus is the greatest king that ever lived or will ever live.

What Made King Josiah Better Than Anyone Anytime Except Jesus
A Summary Of Josiah's Life

THE CHILDHOOD OF JOSIAH

First, let's study the childhood of Josiah. 2 Chronicles 34:1 says Josiah was 8 years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem 31 years (note that Josiah died young at 39). And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord; and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.

OK, note that Josiah had a wicked father named Amon and a wicked grandfather named Manasseh. Both Amon and Manasseh were evil and made all the people worship idols. God was angry at Amon and Manasseh and determined to punish Israel for their sins. But Josiah chose to live a holy blessed life and refused to be wicked like Amon and Manasseh. God blessed Josiah for living holy and allowed Josiah to live peacefully before Israel received punishment for their sins of idolatry.

We see that Josiah's father Amon was very wicked at 2 Chronicles 33:21 that says Amon was 22 years old when he began to reign and reigned two years in Jerusalem. But he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord as did Manasseh his father; for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made and served them. And he humbled not himself before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more. And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.

So we see that Josiah had an evil grandfather named Manasseh and an evil father named Amon who was murdered. But, like the sons of Korah who escaped the pit of hell by refusing to rebel with their father Korah against Moses, Josiah refused to rebel against God by worshipping idols like his father and grandfather, Amon and Manasseh. The result is that Josiah is now remembered as the greatest king better than anyone anytime except Jesus.

Josiah was a blessed child like the sons of Korah who escaped the pit of hell where their daddy Korah is forever because they determined to live holy for the Lord Jesus, unlike their parents. Hallelujah Psalms 42-49 are written to honor the sons of Korah who are in heaven for living a blessed life, even though their parents were wicked and are in hell. Numbers 26:11 proves that the sons of Korah were blessed and escaped the pit of hell by saying Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

You see we all got to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. There can be wicked parents and blessed saved kids like Josiah. But, there can also be blessed saved parents and wicked kids. The priest Eli was a blessed father but he had wicked sons named Hophni and Phinehas. The prophet Samuel was a blessed father but he had wicked sons that took bribes and perverted judgment. 1 Samuel 8:1 tells us And it came to pass when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel. Now the name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abiah. They were judges in Beersheba. And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

So remember, like Brother Bob and Josiah, just because your parents and grandparents deny the Lord Jesus and are wicked, you can choose to get saved and live holy and be blessed forevermore. Brother Bob's orthodox Jewish grandparents and great grandparents who all rejected the Lord Jesus are in hell forever. But, Brother Bob like Josiah broke the generational curse and chose to live holy and be saved. Unlike my past unsaved Jewish relatives, Brother Bob decided to get saved and will be in heaven with Jesus in peace forevermore. Like Brother Bob and Josiah, get saved right now; repent, stop sinning, confess Jesus to be your God, and daily believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Notice that 2 Chronicles 34:2 says that the child Josiah did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. It's interesting that his grandfather Manasseh at 2 Chronicles 33:2 did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. These two scriptures show us that God sees everything (the good and the evil). Proverbs 15:3 says The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Since God sees everything, choose to live holy and blessed like Josiah to receive peace and strength from our Lord Jesus and avoid punishment like Manasseh who was put into prison for his sins. But note that Josiah's grandfather Manasseh repented in prison and lived holy during his old age before death.

Next we see that 2 Chronicles 34:2 says that Josiah walked in the ways of David (not Amon or Manasseh) his father. It's interesting to see that Josiah chose to walk in the ways of David instead of Amon or Manasseh. David was Josiah's role model because David was a man after God's own heart. Even though David lived hundreds of years before Josiah, Josiah chose David to be his role model and pattern his life after David.  Like Josiah, if you have wicked parents and grandparents, choose a blessed saint who lived hundreds of years ago to be your role model like DL Moody from the 1800s or John Bunyan from the 1600s.

Now note that 2 Chronicles 34:2 goes on to say that Josiah declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left. In other words, Josiah was unwavering and not easily influenced by peer pressure. The child Josiah did not stop living holy to please crowds and did not allow the world to influence his decisions. Josiah remembered Psalm 119:9 that says Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy Word. Proverbs 20:11 proves that it is possible for a child like Josiah to have unwavering, steadfast, holy faith saying Even a child is known by his doings; whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

JOSIAH THE TEENAGER

OK, let's move on and learn about Josiah the teenager. 2 Chronicles 34:3 says For in the eighth year of his reign (when Josiah was a teenager and 16 years of age), while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father. At 16, Josiah sought after God and determined to learn all about the bible every day. When most teenagers today become 16, instead of seeking God like Josiah, they seek out girls or boys to marry, jobs for money, and the pleasures of this world. Teenagers, make Josiah your role model and choose today to seek the God that David worshipped, determining to learn all you can about the blessed Word of God. Psalm 1 says if you memorize the bible day and night, God will fix all your problems and whatsoever you do will prosper.

Like Josiah, remember King Solomon's warning to teenagers that forget God and enjoy the fading pleasures of this world. King Solomon warned at Ecclesiastes 11:9 Rejoice O young man in thy youth and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes; but know thou, that for all these things, God will bring thee into judgment; therefore remove sorrow from thy heart and put away evil from thy flesh; for childhood and youth are vanity.

After Josiah remembered the warning from Solomon at Ecclesiastes 11:9, Josiah decided to obey the wise words of Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say I have no pleasure in them. In other words, avoid saying when you are older, I have no pleasure in my life because of the consequences of the sins from my youth.

JOSIAH AT AGE 20

Alright, let's move on and see what made Josiah great when he became 20 years of age. 2 Chronicles 34:3 goes on to say in the 12th year (of Josiah's reign when he was 20) he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images. In other words, King Josiah was blessed because he totally removed all sin from his life and from his nation.

2 Kings 23:7 tells us that King Josiah brake down the houses of the sodomites that were by the house of the Lord where the women wove hangings for the grove. 2 Kings 23:10 then tells us that Josiah defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech. In other words, Josiah did not allow any same sex marriage by sodomites or abortion (the killing of innocent babies) in his nation.

King Josiah was blessed because he did not allow any idolatry, sodomy, or killing of innocent babies in his nation. If King Josiah was alive today he would burn down all the casinos which are idolatry covetousness involving the greed and lust for money called avarice. Josiah would make the sale of lottery tickets illegal and ban this form of idolatry worship of money. Josiah would redefine marriage to be between a man and a woman and make same sex marriage and sodomy illegal. Finally, Josiah would say abortion and killing of innocent babies is illegal and close down all the abortion clinics that have murdered 70 million babies since the ungodly Roe v. Wade decision.

Let me just write down in detail how 2 Chronicles 34:4 describes how Josiah removed sin from his nation. Like Josiah, let's do a thorough job and totally eliminate all the sin from our lives and from our nations.  The blessed text says And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images he brake in pieces, and made dust of them and strawed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.

2 Chronicles 34:5 goes on to say that Josiah burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem. And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim and Simeon, even unto Naphtali with their mattocks round about. (In other words, Josiah not only removed sin from his own nation Judah, but he removed sin from the surrounding nations of Manasseh, Ephraim, Simeon, and Naphtali). And when he had broken down the altars and the groves and had beaten the graven images into powder and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

JOSIAH AT AGE 26

Alright. let's move on and see what Josiah did at age 26. 2 Chronicles 34:8 tells us In the 18th year of his reign (when Josiah was 26) when he had purged the land and the house, he sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah and Maaseiah the governor of the city and Joah the son of Joahaz the recorder to repair the house of the Lord his God. And while Josiah's servants were repairing the house of the Lord, they found a bible.

When Shaphan began to read the bible to King Josiah, Josiah rent his clothes. Josiah learned that God was going to punish the nation of Judah because of the sins of his father and grandfather Amon and Manasseh. Therefore, Josiah sought counsel from Huldah the prophetess if God would spare his life after he lived holy by removing all the sinful idols from Judah. Huldah comforted Josiah and told him that his life would be peaceful where he would not experience any of God's wrath.

Josiah kept his promise to Huldah to purge and remove all the sin from his life and from his nation. Like Josiah, we all need to purge and purify ourselves and our nation daily by removing sin from our lives. Jesus told us at John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. In other words, the more we remove and purge away the dead sins of our lives, the more God will bless us with peace.

The law of spiritual relativity tells us that for every action there has to be an equal and opposite reaction. In other words, the more a person loves the Lord Jesus like Josiah, the more that person will hate evil and remove all the sin around them. Psalm 97:10 states the law of spiritual relativity saying Ye that love the Lord, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Isaiah 58:1 tell us Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

JOSIAH AT AGE 30

Now let's see how Josiah lived at age 30. After Shaphan read the Word of God to Josiah, Josiah realized that he was a sinner and was blessed to remove all sin from his nation. Like Josiah, read and memorize the bible daily to cleanse you from sin. John 15:3 tells us Now ye are clean through the Word which I have spoken unto you.

When the light of God's Word shines on our dirty flesh, we can see our sins and make a decision to live holy. Hebrews 4:12 says For the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul an spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Like Josiah, after you cleanse yourself and your nation from all sin, you will want to tell everyone around you about the Lord Jesus. 2 Chronicles 34:32 tells us Josiah caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it (obey the Word of God). And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their fathers. And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the Lord their God. And all his days they departed not from following the Lord, the God of their fathers.

And then Josiah had the greatest passover in the history of Israel. 2 Chronicles 35:18 says And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet. Neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel that were present and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Finally 2 Chronicles 35:23 records how King Josiah died at the young age of 39. It says And the archers shot at King Josiah and the king said to his servants have me away, for I am sore wounded. His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah. And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day and made them an ordinance in Israel and behold they are written in the lamentations.

I pray in Jesus name that this little bible study about Josiah blesses multitudes all over this earth with peace and strength. How To Have Victorious Faith

Two Steps That Must Be Taken For Victorious Faith

1) Instead of a huge increased faith in a little God
Have just a tiny small mustard seed faith in a huge God

2) Make your faith happen with works

Today, let's see how to have victorious faith. First to be blessed say Lord Jesus thank you that all I need is little mustard seed of faith in a large awesome God for my prayers to be answered. Luke 17:5 tells us And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord (Jesus) said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Notice that the apostles thought that they had to increase their faith to get their prayers answered. Like the apostles, the devil lies to everyone and says you need to increase your faith (you don't have enough faith) before you can get blessed. But Jesus says just the opposite: Saints all you need when you pray is just a tiny mustard seed of faith for any prayer request and our large awesome God named Jesus will grant your requests and honor your mustard seed faith.  I encourage all my friends everywhere to try praying with just a tiny mustard seed of faith and watch Jesus start answering all your godly prayer requests. Matthew 17:20 promises If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

When you pray believing that just a mustard seed of faith will get your prayers answered, you will receive confidence and move away any mountain that is blocking your blessings. Jesus said at Mark 11:22 have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever will say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mustard Seed Faith In Our Lord Jesus Is Required To Be Blessed

Mustard seed faith with our hearts in the Lord Jesus to grant any prayer request is required to be blessed. Hebrews 11:6 says But without faith it is impossible to please Him (Jesus); for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. And when several blind men asked Jesus for a healing, Matthew 9:29 says Then touched He their eyes, saying  According to your faith be it unto you.

You see unbelief (no faith) blocks blessings. We must believe our prayer requests to Jesus by faith before they are granted. Matthew 13:58 tells us that even the Lord Jesus did not many works there because of their unbelief. Jesus will not honor unbelief. Jesus won't even save anyone unless they believe that Jesus is God. Right now get saved, stop sinning, repent, confess Jesus to be your God, believing that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Activate Your Faith By Works To Get Your Prayers Granted

There is no such thing as dormant inactive faith. Faith always takes on action and direction. Faith always attempts something to lift up and praise our Lord Jesus. James 2:17-18 tells us Even so faith, if it hath not works is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say Thou hast faith, and I have works; shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Now notice that faith alone without works saves someone. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. But, after anyone is saved, they will have good works to activate their faith and let Jesus shine to lost sinners. Notice the next verse at Ephesians 2:10 that says For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Notice how Jonathan and his armourbearer (just 2 men with only one spear) pictured above activated their faith with works by climbing a steep cliff to defeat thousands of Philistine enemies. 1 Samuel 14:6 tells us And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, come and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us; for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few.

Jonathan said to his armourbearer we will show ourselves to the enemy Philistines at the bottom of the cliff, and if the Philistines say Come up unto us, we will go up the cliff, for the Lord hath delivered them into our hand. Wow, Jonathan and his armourbearer (only two little men with one sword) activated their faith with works by climbing a steep cliff to fight thousands of  Philistines when the Philistines told them Come up to us and we will shew you a thing. It looked impossible for Jonathan and his armourbearer to defeat the Philistines after climbing a steep cliff. But, all things are possible with God to them that believe.

I can see Jonathan telling his armourbearer while climbing the steep cliff, Yep, we're outnumbered, but God is with us. For there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few. And when Jonathan and his armourbearer just killed only 20 Philistines, God honored their faith activated by works, and God sent an earthquake that destroyed the Philistines and gave Jonathan and his armourbearer the victory with King Saul. And notice that God didn't send the earthquake until the two daring men (Jonathan and his armourbearer) said let's just try to defeat the Philistines by faith.

Another bible story at Mark 2 illustrates how four men activated their faith by works by busting an opening through a roof to lower their lame friend down to the Lord Jesus in a crowded house. These four men heard that the Lord Jesus was in Capernaum. The four men believed that they could get their lame friend on a stretcher to Jesus to be healed. When they got to the house where Jesus was preaching, the house was packed with people and there was no way to get in.

But, these four men were determined to get their lame friend healed by Jesus. These four daring men of faith somehow got their lame friend up to the roof of the house and started to bust up the roof by faith. After they lowered the lame man on his bed through the roof, Jesus healed the lame man because he saw the four men's faith activated by works (not the lame man's faith). This proves that the prayers of saints can heal anyone (even when the sick person can't pray for themself). Jesus told the lame man, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee; take up your bed and walk.

Nehemiah activated his faith by works and rebuilt the walls in Jerusalem

Finally, we see Nehemiah who activated his faith by works and rebuilt the walls in Jerusalem. Nehemiah had a comfortable job in a palace as the king's cupbearer. Then after Nehemiah saw that the walls in Jerusalem were broken down by the Babylonians, he left his comfort zone to start rebuilding by faith the walls of Jerusalem. Are you willing to be like Nehemiah and leave your comfort zone to bless the poor orphans and widows around you with food and rent money?

While Nehemiah was rebuilding the walls, he was persecuted and opposed by Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem. But, God honored Nehemiah's faith and allowed the walls of Jerusalem to be completed. In other words, keep working for Jesus and God will make your persecutors disappear, while you get the work done for our Lord Jesus. Remember, rejoice through persecutions; keep working for Jesus like Nehemiah, and the work for Jesus will be completed.

1 Thessalonians 1:3 says Remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labour of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father. You see faith involves a labour (work) of love. You can't just pray and do nothing. We must activate our faith with good works to be blessed like Nehemiah.

Romans 12:11 says Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. Proverbs 23:21 warns us For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. Finally, Proverbs 20:13 warns us Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. Don't be like water that sits still and becomes filthy and useless; Keep moving with good works to activate your faith like a mighty waterfall to be a refreshing blessing wherever you travel.

What Is The Unique Sin

The Unique Sin Is Fornication

Today's sermon is about the unique sin of fornication. Fornication is defined to be any type of premarital or extramarital sexual relationship with another person or beast. This includes adultery, incest, homosexuality, lesbianism, pedophilia, and beastiality. Pictured above, we need to be like Joseph who refused to commit adultery (a type of fornication) with Potipher's wife, obeying 1 Corinthians 6:18, and flee fornication. In other words, deny, run from, and totally avoid fornication.

And notice that fornication is a unique one of a kind sin because 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. Think about this; Why would anyone want to harm their own body and fornicate. Be blessed and wait till you are married before any sexual relationships. Hebrews 13:4 says Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Women, notice that the bible says that after you get saved, you are not your own; you are bought with a price (the blood of Jesus), and your body belongs to God. Therefore, it is a sin for a woman to say it's OK for me to have an abortion because I have a right to do whatever I want with my body. Ladies, it's not your body; it's God's body holding a living precious little baby. Abortion (the killing of innocent babies) is premeditated murder because a baby is a life at the moment of conception. The Lord Jesus said at Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Also, the baby John the Baptist in the womb of Elizabeth was a life that leaped for joy in the presence of the Lord Jesus in Mary's womb.

Homosexuality And Lesbianism Are Types Of Fornication

Two types of fornication are homosexuality (men with men) and lesbianism (women with women). The bible says if anyone commits the sin of homosexuality or lesbianism, they will suffer the vengeance of eternal fire, burn in hell tormented forevermore, and die before their time. Jude 7 tells us Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication (homosexuality where men wanted to have sex with men angels and lesbianism) and going after strange flesh are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire (in hell where the fire burns forevermore).

Also remember that the bible says at Romans 1:28 that when anyone is guilty of committing the sin of fornication by homosexuality or lesbianism, they will get a reprobate mind and not be able to pray for themselves. When anyone becomes a homosexual or lesbian, they risk crossing a line of no return to God and commit a sin that is exceedingly sinful. There are many sins, but the sin of homosexuality and lesbianism is exceedingly sinful, where people risk eternal punishment from God. Genesis 13:13 tells us But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.

Ecclesiastes 7:17 warns be not over much wicked (don't be exceedingly sinful committing homosexuality or lesbianism), neither be thou foolish; Why shouldest thou die before thy time? Statistics prove that homosexuals and lesbians who fornicate die before their time. The average life span of a gay homosexual man today is 43 years, and the average life span of a lesbian woman is 49 years. Normally men live to an average age of 78, and women live to an average age of 80. In other words, without repentance and abstinence from fornication, people will die before their time, suffer the wrathful judgment of God, and burn in hell tormented forevermore.

I must state though that if anyone reading this is guilty of any type of fornication in their past, Jesus can forgive the sin of fornication and save you. 1 Corinthians 6:11 says And such were some of you; but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. Right now get saved, decide to stop fornicating and sinning, confess Jesus to be your God, and believe daily that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

There Are Many Bible Verses That Speak About
The Unique Sin Of Fornication

Friends, deny fornication that is usually the first sin noted in most lists of sin in the bible. Many bible verses tell us to avoid fornication. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 says Abstain from all appearance of evil. And 1 Corinthians 10:8 warns Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day, three and twenty thousand.

Please avoid fornication (any premarital or extramarital sex of any kind) because statistics say that 1 out of every 2 Americans that fornicate by the age of 25 has an STD (sexually transmitted disease like AIDS or the HIV virus and die before their time). Acts 15:20 warns But that we write unto them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.  And Acts 15:29 goes on to say That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well; Fare ye well.

After reading all these statistics, someone might say Brother Bob you just don't want us to have any fun fornicating. Respond by saying why settle for fun when you can have joy living for Jesus? And Jesus cares about you and wants you to deny fornication, so you can live past 43 years of age and avoid many STD's (sexually transmitted diseases).

Pictured above we see some more scriptures that warn us to avoid fornication. Colossians 3:5 says Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. And Ephesians 5:3 says But fornication, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. 2 Corinthians 7:1 says Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. James 1:21 says Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Take a look at Romans 8:8 that says So then they that are in the flesh can not please God. In other words, if anyone commits the sin of fornication, they can not please God. Fornication should be denied because according to Revelation 4:11 we were created for God's pleasure. This scripture says Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Instead of fornicating to please yourself, please God and others around you. Take time to say Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves (by fornicating).

How To Overcome The Sin Of Fornication

We learn from the bible that in order to overcome the sin of fornication, we must get our hearts right with God. This is because the sin of fornication proceeds out of the heart according to Mark 7:21 that says For from within out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts; adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these things come from within and defile the man.

And Proverbs 4:23 tells us Keep thy heart with all diligence (this is done by daily looking by faith with your heart to the cross of Jesus) for out of it are the issues of life. You see when you keep your heart by looking daily to Jesus crucified, you will get victory and overcome fornication and your flesh. Galatians 5:24 promises And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Fill your heart daily with the Word of God because if you hide the Word of God in your heart you will not sin and commit fornication. And when we focus on Jesus crucified daily, the Holy Spirit that is one with Jesus comes alive and stops us from sinning. Galatians 5:16 promises that if we walk in the Spirit, we shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (and avoid fornication). And when we allow the Spirit to control our lives, temperance will occur where we will have self control to deny and avoid fornication.

The final way to avoid fornication is to get married. 1 Corinthians 7:2 says Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife (a woman, not a man), and let every woman have her own husband (a man not a woman). Human sexuality is a beautiful gift given by God to mankind to be unwrapped after marriage on an undefiled bed and enjoyed for a lifetime.

And it's OK to be single and blessed to avoid fornication.  Realize that Jesus is all you need to be satisfied. Godliness with contentment is great gain according to 1 Timothy 6:6. And according to Psalm 16:11 in the presence of our Lord Jesus there is fulness of joy. And finally the bible tells us that Jesus alone is sufficient for single people who choose to not be married. 2 Corinthians 9:8 promises And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

JESUS IS SUFFICIENT AND ALL YOU NEED
BEING SINGLE WITH JESUS IS A BLESSING

MAN'S EFFICIENCY IS A DEFICIENCY
BECAUSE GOD IS OUR SUFFICIENCY

2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves
to think anything as of ourselves
but our sufficiency is of God

If You Are Hungry
Jesus Is The Bread Of Life

If You Are Thirsty
Jesus Is The Water Of Life

If You Are Tired And Weary
Jesus Says Come Unto Me All Ye That Labour
And Are Heavy Laden, And I Will Give You Rest

If You Are Lost And Can Not Find Your Way
Jesus Says I Am The Way, The Truth, And The Life
No Man Cometh Unto The Father But By Me

If You Are Afraid Of Death And Dying
Jesus Says I Am The Resurrection And The Life
He That Believeth In Me, Though He Were Dead, Yet Shall He Live
And Whosoever Liveth And Believeth In Me Shall Never Die
Believest Thou This
