If We Meet With Jesus, Jesus Will Meet With Us

Today, let's all look at Job 22:21 that says Acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good shall come unto thee. Acquaint means to abide and frequently think about Jesus and His Word daily to receive peace. If you look above at the pictures, learn that as we all acquaint ourselves with the Lord Jesus, the Lord Jesus will also acquaint Himself with us. In the first picture, we see that as Jesus knocks on our door, if we open the door, Jesus will come in and sup with us. On the other hand, as you look at the second picture, every time we go to Jesus and knock on Jesus' door, Jesus will always open the door and bless us with the peace of His presence.

The scriptures that speak about the above stated revelation are Revelation 3:20 which refers to the first picture above and says Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  Now compare Matthew 7:7 that refers to the second picture above  and says Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. You see, walking with Jesus daily is a two way street. As Jesus constantly seeks to fellowship with us, we should constantly seek to fellowship with Jesus. James 4:8 says Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you; cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Also, John 6:37 says All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.

Take time to meditate on the following scriptures proving that if we meet with Jesus, Jesus will meet with us. An anointed puritan writer James Janeway wrote in the 1600's Blessed are they that know Him, as they are known of Him. James Janeway supported this quote with 1 Corinthians 8:3 that says But if any man love God, the same is known of Him.

And remember to know Jesus is to be blessed for Psalm 89:15 says Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound (defined as the sound of the trumpet that all saints will hear before they are caught up to be forevermore with Jesus in the clouds). they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. Friend reading this, Brother Bob says one of the most blessed sounds we will ever hear will be the soon sounding trumpet signaling the catching up of the saints (dead and alive) to be with Jesus forevermore. The trumpet will sound and saved saints as the bride church shall be caught up in the clouds in a moment or the twinkling of an eye to be with Jesus forevermore in peace.

One final note as we all look at the pictures above of doors, remember that Jesus is the door. Jesus said at John 10:9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. Jesus showed Brother Bob that gate means door, and that Jesus represents the 12 gates to the kingdom. Therefore, the only way into one of the 12 gates or doors of the kingdom is through our Lord Jesus. I pray in Jesus name that anyone who reads this will enter the gate or door of the kingdom as they become saved by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in their heart that Jesus died for them and rose again.

A person in the bible who was blessed to leave this troubled world to be with Jesus as he daily walked and acquainted himself with the Lord Jesus was Enoch. According to the picture above, Genesis 5:24 tells us And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him. If you look up the hebrew definition of Enoch, you will find that Enoch's name in hebrew is dedicated. I pray in Jesus name, anyone who forevermore reads this will be dedicated like Enoch to follow Jesus and his Word daily as they are blessed to escape the troubles of this world and receive a continuous blessing of peace from our Lord Jesus. Hebrews 11:5 further speaks about Enoch and says By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him; for before his translation, he had this testimony; that he pleased God.

Friend, the lesson Brother Bob wants you to learn from this bible study is to daily acquaint, abide, study, and talk about the Lord Jesus and the Word of God to receive a promised blessing for your dedication and service to our Lord Jesus. Psalm 73:28 says But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. We should be like King David and say Psalm 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Now, friend you might say how do I draw near to Jesus for a blessing. One way to draw near to Jesus is stated at Ephesians 2:13 that says But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Therefore, daily with your hearts look to Jesus crucified and proclaim to the devil Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ as the blood of Jesus gives us victory to overcome the devil and cleanses us from all sin.

Also, our Lord Jesus also taught us another way to draw near to God when Jesus stated at John 8:31 If ye continue in my Word, then ye are my disciples indeed. Notice Jesus said to continously (not weekly or monthly but constantly) study the Word to be a disciple, receiving a promised blessing. Psalm 1 promises that if we meditate on the Word of God day and night, whatsoever we do (this means anything you set your mind to do for Jesus) will prosper. James 1:25 promises But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty (the Word of God), and continueth therein (note this says to continue in the word constantly, not just studying the Word only once a month or week), he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Another person pictured above who was blessed for daily walking and acquainting himself with our Lord Jesus who ignored mockings and persecutions was Noah. Noah received the definition of his name rest for his dedication and service to the Lord Jesus as a preacher of righteousness. Think about the dedication Noah had as a preacher of righteousness who kept preaching one hundred twenty years even though he did not receive one convert. Most of us would stop preaching after a month with no converts, but Noah kept building his ark and was saved from a destructive flood for his dedicated service to God. What a blessed picture above as the people laugh at Noah for his preaching, while one man points to his head calling Noah crazy for building an ark while Noah asks the people to repent and serve God.

The scripture that pronounces the blessing Noah received as a preacher of righteousness is 2 Peter 2:5 that says And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. The scripture that proves that Noah like Enoch walked daily with God is Genesis 6:9 that says These are the generations of Noah; Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.  I pray in Jesus name, we can all be like Noah, staying with Jesus as we all receive the promised blessing of rest where Jesus stated at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Friend anywhere, take time to think how blessed it is that Jesus as the highly exalted God would humble himself to take time to bless us as lowly sinful creatures. Look what King David said to the Lord Jesus at Psalm 8:4 when he said to the Lord What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? But notice the joy David received from an answered revelation to his question above at Psalm 113:5 that says Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, who humbleth Himself to behold the things that are in heaven and in earth! He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill. That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

Notice how Job also praised Jesus for remembering lowly sinful man at Job 7:17 that says What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment. Finally, the prophet Isaiah also praised the Lord Jesus for blessing lowly sinful man at Isaiah 57:15 that says For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy. I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Finally, the prophet Malachi proclaimed that the Lord Jesus would remember and gather his saints that spake often about Jesus and the Word as jewels to be forevermore as Jesus' property or possession. Malachi 3:16 says Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another; and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon His name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels (defined as possession or property); and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
