Jesus Jesus Jesus

Today I give you all the picture above of a precious little girl happy as she drinks a cup of cold water to relieve her thirst. And yes this picture above relates to one of Brother Bob's favorite bible verses. Proverbs 25:25 says As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. Everyone the good news which is so refreshing to our souls as a cup of cold water is the gospel message of Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected with eternal life. Romans 1:16 says For  I am not ashamed of the gospel (defined as good news) of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Let me share a revelation the Holy Ghost taught Brother Bob with you all. Open your bibles to 1 Corinthians 1:17 and meditate on this verse which defines to us all what the gospel is. The verse says For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the GOSPEL; not with wisdom of words, lest the CROSS of Christ should be made of none effect. This verse tells us all that the gospel is the message of the cross of Christ. I encourage anyone reading this bible study to daily with their hearts by faith see Jesus Christ crucified and receive power by knowing as they cast their worries fears and problems on the cross of Christ that they can say I am crucified with Christ and thank you Jesus for destroying my problems forever at the cross. Hebrews 2:14. Lord Jesus let all who read this forevermore remember Luke 9:23 that says And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

The word gospel is also defined at 1 Corinthians 15:1 and says Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; Verse 3 says what the gospel is. It reads For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Notice that 1 Corinthians 15 also includes the fact of the resurrection for the definition of the gospel.

People have asked Brother Bob over the years, Brother Bob why do you only stress Jesus Christ crucified and not also the resurrection. My answer is this: You can't put the cart before the horse. At the cross and not at the resurrection was where the blood of Jesus Christ was shed. And to defeat and overcome the devil we must preach Christ crucified because Revelation 12:10 says we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb shed at the cross and not at the resurrection which is the same yesterday, today, and forever Hebrews 13:8. And, if you preach Jesus Christ crucified you automatically will receive the power of the resurrection. Let me prove this to you by two bible verses. First Romans 6:5 says For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. Philippians 3:10 says That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death. You see you automatically receive the power of the resurrection when you say I am crucified with Christ by faith and see the cross with your heart being made conformable unto His death.

Now since we have established by the Word of God that the message of the gospel is Christ crucified lets study the Apostle Paul's warning about preaching only Christ crucified as the gospel and not any other religious message of good works or prosperity messages. Galatians 1:8-9 says But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Wow, Paul is saying twice if we do not preach Christ crucified we are cursed. After Brother Bob studied this scripture, I vowed to Jesus that I would constantly remind everyone to daily focus on Jesus Christ crucified and daily thank Jesus for dying for them at the cross of Calvary. The Apostle Paul at 1 Corinthians 2:2 stated For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. Also Galatians 6:14 says But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

OK everyone, Brother Bob celebrated when he found the picture above which Brother Bob had been searching for for 10 years. I must state that it is one of the most accurate and phenomenal pictures of a bible scene that I've ever looked at. Whoever drew this cartoon picture was highly anointed. The picture above is of the harlot Rahab's house that was spared from destruction in Jericho because she placed a scarlet thread outside her window. Jesus showed me that since scarlet is red, the scarlet thread represented the blood of Jesus and the Lord told Joshua, I see the blood of Jesus over Rahab's house and destruction must pass over Rahab.

According to the bible Rahab feared Jesus and housed Joshua's spies and protected them. Because of Rahab's kindness the spies made an agreement that if she placed a scarlet thread outside her window, when their leader Joshua came to destroy Jericho and saw her scarlet thread, Rahab's household would be spared and live. Joshua 2:18 says Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by, and thou shalt bring thy father and thy mother and thy brethren and all thy father's household home unto thee. The story of Rahab's rescue from destruction is at Joshua 6:22 and says But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house and bring out thence the woman and all that she hath as ye sware unto her. Verse 24 says And they burnt the city with fire and all that was therein; only the silver and the gold and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.

Now take a good look at the picture above and I'll show you how awesome the picture is. First notice that the priests in the front of the picture are blowing the ram's horns and shouting on the seventh day while holding the ark which is accurately stated in Joshua 6. Also, my good friend Wes Strawser pointed out to me that the priests could not talk until they shouted on the seventh day as they encircled Jericho. Jesus told Wes that if the priests talked they might have been discouraged and lost hope.

But the most incredible thing about the picture above is that currently in Jericho today, the walls of Jericho still exist. Hebrews 11:30 tells us By faith the walls of Jericho fell down (defined in Greek as to descend from a higher place to a lower), after they were compassed about seven days. An archeologist named Kathleen Kenyon in the 1950's discovered these walls of Jericho that sunk into the ground. Yes the walls of Jericho still exist today and prove that the bible is true and accurate. The Jericho walls did not crumble but remained, as they just sank into the ground. As a testimony to the accuracy of the bible, Kathleen Kenyon also discovered Rahab's house on a wall that did not sink into the ground. Joshua 2:15 tells us that Rahab's house was upon the town wall but her house on that part of the wall did not sink and is still above ground to this day as a testimony that the bible is true and accurate.

Jesus gave Brother Bob a revelation about the picture of Rahab's house above several years ago. Jesus showed me that Joshua which means salvation represents Jesus coming to save the saints in the clouds. Notice that trumpets were blown before Rahab was caught up to be with Jesus. Well, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (this is Michael the only archangel of the bible), and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Jesus showed Brother Bob that one of the sweetest sounds a saint will ever hear will be when the trumpet blows to tell us that we soon will be caught up to be with Jesus in a moment and a twinkling of an eye when we all shall be changed from mortality to immortality Hallelujah. Also, it is interesting to note that Rahab was a sinful harlot prostitute and to Brother Bob Rahab represents the true church of God for we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God but thank you Jesus for your blood you shed which saves us all from destruction.

OK everyone my next picture is when the children of Israel placed the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their doors and were saved from the angel of death. It is such a blessing that we all can have a safe place to hide in Jesus from the troubles around us like the children of Israel above and Rahab who also trusted in the blood of Jesus. Jesus showed me that as saints like the children of Israel we might hear great cries of trouble around us but if we stay by faith under the blood of Jesus trouble and destruction must pass over us. I pray Lord Jesus everyone who will read this bible study past present and future will by faith daily hide under the blood of Jesus as they remember Jesus Christ crucified.

The story about the picture above is at Exodus 12:23 and says For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. Verse 29 describes the great cry the children of Israel heard outside their doors. Hallelujah saints, the blood of Jesus will protect us all from these troubles around us. Verse 29 says And it came to pass that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt from the firstborn of Pharoah that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharoah rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Now saints meditate on these listings of scriptures which show that Jesus as God is your safety place from the troubles of this world. One of Brother Bob's favorite scriptures of all time was stated by the prophet Isaiah at Isaiah 26:20 and says Come my people, enter thou into thy chambers and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation (defined as trouble) be overpast (to Brother Bob this means when Jesus sees the blood of Jesus trouble must pass over you).

OK notice that Isaiah above is telling us to shut the door and hide in the chamber of Jesus. Jesus showed Brother Bob this represents the Key of David which all saints in Jesus have and when Jesus shuts a door no man can open that door and cause trouble. Revelation 3:7 says And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the Key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth, and shutteth, and no man openeth. Now remember the flip side of Revelation 3:7 and in Jesus name I claim for all who read this bible study that when Jesus opens a door for any saint of God by favour, no man who is jealous or hates the Jesus in us will be able to shut this open door of favour. Psalm 5:12 says For thou Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Here's some more scriptures of Jesus as God and your safety place from troubles. Psalm 27:5 says For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion (defined as the lair of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah who is Jesus); in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me, He shall set me up upon a rock. Proverbs 18:10 says The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. 1 Samuel 22:23 says Abide thou with me, fear not. For He that seeketh my life seeketh thy life; but with me thou shalt be in safeguard. Psalm 91:4 says He shall cover thee with His feathers and under His wings shalt thou trust. His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Job 5:22 says At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh. Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.

OK to end my bible study today I give you all a great picture of a mom forgetting all her problems and rejoicing to see her beautiful baby. Hallelujah like this mother pictured above all the saints of God when they arrive at the glorious kingdom to be with Jesus forevermore will forget all the problems and persecutions they experienced in this world on earth. John 16:21 describes the picture above and says A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come; but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Here are two of Brother Bob's favorite verses in the Word of God that prove that the saints of Jesus will forget and not remember the persecutions and sufferings of this evil world when we see Jesus in the kingdom. Isaiah 65:17 says For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
