Let's all be like the little children pictured above and keep looking to Jesus. Here's some blessed scriptures that tell us to fix our eyes on Jesus Christ crucified. Psalm 25:15 says Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 34:5 says They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Psalm 121:1 says I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Luke 21:28 says And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
While you look to the Lord Jesus, Jesus watches over you and protects you from trouble. People might sleep and forget about Jesus but Jesus never sleeps and is a good shepherd that watches over you and protects you from trouble. Psalm 121:4 says Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:7 says The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. 2 Timothy 4:18 says And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jesus loves us and never forgets about us like a mother remembering her little child but unfortunately some christians forget to serve Jesus. Isaiah 49:15 says Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Jeremiah 2:32 says Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
Brother Bob often asks people I meet in the supermarket or on a crowded bus, when was the last time you thought about the Word of God or took time to talk to Jesus. Unfortunately some people have answered weeks, months, and sometimes years ago. I encourage all who read this bible study to remember Psalm 1 and delight yourself daily in the Word of God and meditate on the Word of God day and night.
Joshua 1:8 says This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. The word success only appears once in the bible at Joshua 1:8. Therefore to have good success meditate day and night on the Word of God. Ransack the 1611 KJV bible daily.
Rejoice about the Word of God like you discovered great treasure. Psalm 119:162 says I rejoice at thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil. Matthew 13:45 says Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Brother Bob says that the pearl of great price is Jesus and when we bless poor widows and orphans we bless Jesus and receive the pearl of great price.
When saved saints see the kingdom of God, they will see twelve gates with twelve pearls. Revelation 21:21 says And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. Gate means door and Jesus is the door or gate to enter the kingdom of God. An oyster creates a pearl when some dirt or sand gets into his shell. This irritates the oyster where the oyster transforms the dirt or sand into a pearl. The oyster secretes layers of nacre (called mother of pearl) around the dirt to create a protective barrier, eventually forming a pearl. Jesus suffered and was irritated at the cross of Calvary because of all our dirty filthy sins and removed our sins forever by His precious blood creating a beautiful pearl in all of the twelve gates of the kingdom of God.
Notice the above picture of the soldiers that came to take Jesus to the cross who fell backwards when Jesus willingly offered himself to be sacrificed for all our sins on the cross of Calvary. No man could kill or harm Jesus because Jesus is God. Jesus loved us all so much that Jesus himself rejoiced to die for us all on the cross of Calvary to deliver us from sin and give us eternal life. Philippians 2:8 says And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Hebrews 12:2 says Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
When Jesus was on the earth, Jesus put the undertakers out of business because no one died in the presence of Jesus. Jesus raised the widow of Nain's son from his bier (coffin). Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after Lazarus was in a tomb for four days. Jesus raised Jairus' daughter with just two words Talitha cumi (Damsel, I say unto thee, arise). With Jesus there is no medicare, hospital bills, or funeral expenses.
The scripture that refers to the picture above of the soldiers and Jesus is at John 18:6 and says As soon then as He (Jesus) had said unto them, I am He, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Earlier when the Roman soldiers went to arrest Jesus, the Pharisees got frustrated because the soldiers got saved and could not arrest Jesus. John 7:43 says So there was division among the people because of Him. And some of them would have taken Him; but no man laid hands on Him. Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought Him? The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? It's amazing that some of the Roman soldiers and officers who tried to arrest and crucify Jesus got saved.
Finally notice the picture above of money with wings. Proverbs 23:5 says Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. A puritan writer wrote in 1644 "Rich men have passed over this life, as men do pass over sleep, imagining themselves to have golden mountains and rocks of diamonds, but when they awake at the day of death, they find themselves to have nothing."

No man could kill or harm Jesus because Jesus is God. The Pharisees tried to throw Jesus off a cliff or brow but Jesus walked right through the midst of the Pharisees unharmed. The Pharisees tried to kill Jesus on the cross by poisoning Jesus with vinegar and gall, but Jesus only tasted but did not drink the poison.
It's remarkable that Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Psalm 69:21 that says They gave me also gall (a poisonous hemlock plant) for my meat; and in my thirst they gave vinegar to drink. Matthew 27:34 says They gave Him (Jesus) vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, He would not drink. In other words no man could kill Jesus. Jesus said at John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
No man could kill or harm Jesus because Jesus is God. Jesus had already given up the ghost before the Roman soldiers killed Him on the cross of Calvary by breaking His legs. Therefore the Roman soldiers did not break Jesus' legs or any of Jesus' bones. If the Roman soldiers broke Jesus' legs, the Roman soldiers would have killed Jesus. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Psalm 34:20: He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. It's amazing that not one bone of Jesus was broken after he was beaten, struck on the face, and suffered with a crown of thorns on His head. Saint reading this Jesus loved you so much and gave His own life so you could live today. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

An ancient puritan writer wrote that the soldiers or officers that went to apprehend Jesus were apprehended by Jesus. Like these Roman soldiers and officers, when you search for Jesus, you will get saved and apprehended by Jesus. Philippians 3:12 says Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
While Jesus was dying on the cross of Calvary, a Roman soldier pierced his side. John 19:34 says But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced His side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. The reason that blood and water came out of Jesus' side is because the blood of Jesus washes away the sins of saved saints. Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood.
One of Brother Bob's favorite songs is There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel's veins; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains. Zechariah 13:1 speaks about the fountain of Jesus' blood that removes sins. In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. Brother Bob believes that the soldier that pierced Jesus' side got saved and washed by the actual blood of Jesus because Mark 15:39 says And when the centurion, which stood over against Him, saw that He so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

And sing the words below for the hymn There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood
There is a fountain filled with blood; Drawn from Immanuels' veins
And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains
The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day
And there may I though vile as he wash all my sins away
Dear dying Lamb thy precious blood shall never lose its power
Till all the ransomed ones of God be saved to sin no more
Eer since by faith I saw the stream thy flowing wounds supply
Redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die
When this poor lisping stammering tongue lies silent in the grave
Then in a nobler sweeter song I'll sing thy power to save

A puritan writer wrote in 1644 "Rich men have passed over this life, as men do pass over sleep, imagining themselves to have golden mountains and rocks of diamonds, but when they awake at the day of death, they find themselves to have nothing."
Brother Bob encourages all who read this bible study to look to Jesus and the Word of God that lasts forever and not at money that flies away and disappears. Jesus said at Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Psalm 119:89 says For ever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven.
Take heed to the warning of Psalm 76:5 and do not trust and love money more than Jesus. Psalm 76:5 says The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. In Hebrew this means that later in life, the stouthearted rich men found nothing in their hands. Money might disappear, but thank you Lord Jesus, the Word of God remains forever and the peace and joy with Jesus is everlasting. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Rejoice while you read some scriptures that prove that Jesus will last forever and never change. Malachi 3:6 says For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Revelation 1:4 says John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne.
Brother Bob asks everyone the following question. Did you do a good thing today? Psalm 92:1 tells us the answer to this question. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Right now do a good thing and thank the Lord Jesus for saving you while you praise His holy name.

Finally Brother Bob gives you all a shortcut to put on the armour of God. Ephesians 6:11 says Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Romans 13:14 says But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. In other words when you daily say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and look with your heart by faith at the cross of Calvary, you have put on the whole armour of God that is Jesus (who is the armour of light). Romans 13:12 says The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light (Jesus). And Jesus said at John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Enjoy two of Brother Bob's favorite quotes noted below
1) A praying man will quit sinning and a sinning man will quit praying
2) Persecuted piety is better than prospering profaneness
