A Lesson About Lot's Life

     Today, we will learn to avoid the sinful decisions made by Lot during his life when he looked, leaned, lived, legislated, lost his testimony, lingered, learned the ways of Sodom, and left sinful children. The first sin Lot did was to look at the well watered plain of sinful Sodom and move towards Sodom. Sin usually starts out with a wrong look and a move toward the deceiving beauty of this world.

     Friends unlike Lot, heed to the warning of Psalm 101:3 saying I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes like a hellivsion TV with filthy commercials that can place bad thoughts into innocent children. Instead say Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord (the Word of God) always before me: because He (Jesus) is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Instead of a TV, get a computer and program the computer to only watch and hear daily bible preaching and blessed music about our Lord Jesus.

     OK, the story about the above picture is found at Genesis 13:5 that says And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. And there was strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

     Genesis 13:8 goes on to say And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

     Now notice what Lot did at Genesis 13:10 that says And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

     Lot saw the grass of Sodom instead of the grace of our Lord Jesus. Lot saw the waters of Sodom instead of the wells of salvation. The bible warns us that this material world that appears beautiful is only temporary and passes away, but the unseen blessings from our Lord Jesus are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 tells us While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal (fading and passing away); but the things which are not seen (Jesus and the Word of God) are eternal. Friends let's daily look at the unseen eternal blessings of our Lord Jesus instead of this fading visible wicked world.

     Unlike Lot, Jesus tells us to believe first and then we will see our blessings. Most people though desire to first see a blessing before they believe Jesus. Jesus told me to remind anyone reading this that the bible says at John 20:29 Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. Also Hebrews 11:6 says But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Try this; Say Jesus I believe you even if I don't see or feel any blessings, and Brother Bob guarantees you that your blessings will become visible and appear because Jesus will be pleased by your faith. Jesus responds to faith and not doubt requiring sight.

     Alright, let's move on with our discussion about Lot. After Lot first looked at sinful Sodom, Lot leaned and pitched his tent toward sinful Sodom. Lot's look was followed by a lean. Pictured above we see Lot's tent leaning toward Sodom described at Genesis 13:12 that says Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

     Neighbor, unlike Lot, avoid looking and leaning toward sin by giving no place to the devil in your life. Ephesians 4:27 says Neither give place to the devil. Instead of using alcohol, drugs, and sex before marriage when you are stressed; daily say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. I guarantee you that when your worries, stress, fears, and problems are placed on the cross of Jesus by faith, they will be destroyed and no longer exist. Friend, Jesus is the answer to your problems. Right now get saved, repent, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     OK, next we see that after Lot looked and leaned, Lot lived and legislated in Sodom. This is how sin progresses. First there is a look, then a lean, and finally the person lives in sin. Genesis 14:12 says And they took Lot, Abram's brothers son, who dwelt (lived) in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. Lot became lost in the sins of Sodom and called the sodomites his brethren at Genesis 19:7 where Lot said to the sodomites I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

     Pictured above, Lot also agreed with the sins of Sodom by becoming a judge that legislated for Sodom at Genesis 19:1 that says And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate (a judge in the gate) of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

     Wow, Lot's sin caused him to worship angels instead of the Lord Jesus. Neighbor, only the Lord Jesus and not angels should be worshipped. Notice what an angel told the apostle John when John tried to worship an angel. Revelation 22:8 says And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me. See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Notice a true angel will tell someone to worship the Lord Jesus and not any angel or person.

     Alright, after Lot looked, leaned, lived, and legislated, Lot then lost his testimony and lingered in Sodom. After Lot was told by the angels that Sodom would be destroyed, his sons in law pictured above mocked his warnings to flee Sodom before destruction when Lot lost his testimony by lingering in Sodom. Genesis 19:14 says And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get ye out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city; But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

     The sins of Sodom also made Lot reprobate who could not pray for himself or his family and escape Sodom. Lot lingered in Sodom and the angels had to be merciful to Lot, his wife, and two daughters by setting them without the city of Sodom. Genesis 19:16 says And while he (Lot) lingered, the men (angels) laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lord being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

     Abraham's prayers saved Lot from the destruction of Sodom. Lot could not pray for himself because he chose to tolerate the sins of Sodom. Friends reading this anywhere, Romans 1:28 tells us that the sin of sodomy and same sex marriage will give a person over to a reprobate mind (not being able to pray for themselves). Sodomites or people that compromise and agree with sodomy same sex marriage like Lot can not pray for themselves and need saved christians (like Abraham) to pray for them to be saved.

     Finally, after Lot looked, leaned, lived, legislated, lost his testimony, and lingered, Lot learned the ways of Sodom causing sinful children to be left. Lot and his two daughters learned in Sodom how to drink liquor and intoxicating beverages. After Lot's two daughters got their father Lot drunk, they both committed incest with Lot and gave birth to sinful Moab and Ammon. This left the evil children of the Moabites and the Ammonites. Friends, learn a lesson today from this story; Anyone that leans toward Sodom and this wicked world, will raise up enemies against the cross of our Lord Jesus like the Ammonites and Moabites.

     God punished what Lot did with his daughters by not allowing for ten generations an Ammonite or Moabite to enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever. Deuteronomy 23:3 says An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever. But, Ruth the Moabite who married Boaz and became one of Jesus' grandmothers was the eleventh generation of the Moabites and blessed to enter into the congregation of the Lord. Neighbor, rejoice and read Matthew 1 and count eleven generations to Boaz and Ruth to prove that Ruth the Moabite was the eleventh generation and blessed by our Lord Jesus.

What Will Happen When Saints Are Caught Up To Be With Jesus

     Today, we'll learn what will happen when we are soon caught up to be with our Lord Jesus in the clouds in the air to live in peace forevermore. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 promises For the Lord (Jesus) Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (Michael), and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (snatched away) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

     When the saints are caught up to be with Jesus, they will be changed or transfigured into glorified bodies in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. Our new glorified bodies will be perfect with no sickness like the 30 year old glorified body of Jesus and better than our best moment on this earth. 1 Corinthians 15:51 says Behold, I shew you a mystery (no one knows the exact time of the catching up; it's a mystery); We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed (transfigured into glorified bodies like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly by metamorphosis), In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible; and we shall be changed.

     OK, Brother Bob asked Jesus if a changed transfigured saint in a glorified body is in any building or car with a roof and doors when it's time to be caught up, will that saint be caught up to the clouds through the roof or through one of the doors? Jesus said the answer to this question can be found at John 20:19 pictured above when Jesus appeared in a glorified changed body to his disciples. John 20:19 says Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

     Notice that Jesus in His glorified changed body pictured above descended through the roof to appear to his disciples. Jesus made sure that the Word said that when the doors were shut, Jesus stood in the midst to prove that a glorified changed body can travel through any roof, door, or wall. Friends, rejoice because like our Lord Jesus, when saints are caught up with changed glorified bodies, they will go through any roof of a building or car to be with our Lord Jesus in the clouds in the air forevermore in peace. If Jesus in His glorified body can descend through a roof, saints in glorified bodies can be caught up through any roof of a building or car to be with Jesus in the clouds. No roof, wall, door, or grave will stop anyone from being caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds. And saints will be caught up through roofs and not through walls, doors, or floors because we'll be caught up (not caught out or caught down) to be with our Lord Jesus.

     How encouraging to know that also the saints who have died in Christ will also be raised and caught up to be with our Lord Jesus soon. Romans 8:11 promises But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (restore to life) your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. Ain't no grave gonna hold the dead in Christ down. The dead in Christ will bust open their graves and go through their coffins, tombstones, and the ground alive when they are caught up to be with the Lord Jesus in the clouds.

     Alright, next Brother Bob asked Jesus after the saints are caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds, will the saints' earthly bodies disappear or remain? To answer this question we must look at what happened to Jesus when He rose from the dead and left an empty tomb behind. After Jesus left the empty tomb, His earthly body disappeared and could not be found. Like Jesus, when the saints are caught up, our earthly bodies will disappear and will not be found on the earth. Pictured above when Jesus rose from His tomb, only His linen clothes and wrapped napkin that was about His head remained. Like Jesus, when the saints are caught up, only our clothes will remain and our earthly bodies will disappear. When Brother Bob gets caught up to heaven, people on this earth will only find my dockers pants, my shirt, and my shoes.

     Friends, how encouraging to know that our Lord Jesus is not in His tomb. Buddha and Mohammed are still in their tombs. But, the tomb of Jesus is empty. Jesus is not there. Jesus is risen and lives forevermore. Like Jesus, when saints get caught up, their earthly bodies will not be found on this earth because they will live forevermore with Jesus. This is because 1 John 4:17 says Because as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.

     Matthew 28 tells us about the picture above and how the angels proclaimed that Jesus is not in the tomb; He is risen. Matthew 28:1 says In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

     Matthew 28:3 goes on to say His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

     After Jesus rose from the dead, only Jesus' linen clothes and napkin that was about His head pictured above were found by Peter and John in His empty tomb. Like Jesus, people on this earth will only find saints' clothes after they are caught up in glorified bodies to be with our Lord Jesus. John 20:6 speaks about this and says Then cometh Simon Peter following him (John), and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about His head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

       Finally, let's learn why Jesus wrapped the napkin that was about His head and put it in a place by itself in the empty tomb. Jesus neatly wrapped this napkin to prove that His earthly body was not stolen from the tomb. After Jesus rose from the dead, soldiers were paid large sums of money to lie and say that His disciples came by night and stole His earthly body while the soldiers slept.

      Matthew 28:12 says And when they were assembled (the soldiers and chief priests) with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept. Matthew 28:15 goes on to say So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

     Now friends think about this: If a thief stole the earthly body of Jesus from the tomb, that thief would quickly throw Jesus' unwrapped napkin on top of Jesus' linen clothes. Jesus knew that people would lie and say His earthly body was stolen from the tomb. This is why Jesus wrapped the napkin neatly in a place by itself to prove that no thief stole his body. A thief wouldn't take time to neatly wrap the napkin. Also, Jesus' tomb was sealed by a stone and guarded by soldiers and it was not possible for a thief to enter Jesus' tomb and steal his earthly body.

     Finally, let's learn about what the neatly wrapped napkin left by a master during a meal pictured above meant to his servant according to Hebrew tradition. When a servant set the dinner table for his master, the table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until his master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table until the master was finished.

     When the master was finished eating, the master would wad up his napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. The wadded napkin meant I'm done. But if the master got up from the table and neatly wrapped his napkin and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because the neatly wrapped napkin meant I'm not finished; I'm coming back. Jesus neatly wrapped the napkin in His tomb to let us all know that He's coming back to be the King of this earth for 1000 glorious years and in the kingdom of God forevermore. Get saved today, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. 

     Jesus also told His saints with the neatly wrapped napkin that I'm not finished and I'm coming back for the marriage supper of the Lamb prepared for all my saints. Revelation 19:7 tells us Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him (Jesus): for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife (the church and all the saved saints) hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And He saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And He saith unto me. these are the true sayings of God.

Happy Revelations

     Look above and see pictures of two women in the bible named Eve and Mary. The first woman Eve without a man caused the downfall of the human race by eating of the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then God used another woman named Mary (a virgin) without a man who blessed the human race by giving birth to our Lord Jesus who sets us free from our sins.

     Now look again at Eve and Mary pictured above and learn that Jesus is the promised seed of the woman Eve born through the lineage of Mary stated at Luke 3:38 (that goes back to Adam and Eve) that bruised satan's head while satan bruised Jesus' heel at the cross of Calvary. During Eve's life, God promised at Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee (the devil) and the woman (Eve), and between thy seed and her seed (Jesus); it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.

     The promised seed of Eve (Jesus) bruised satan's head because Romans 16:20 says And the God of peace (Jesus) shall bruise satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Also the promised seed of Eve (Jesus) had His heel bruised by satan at the cross of Calvary: Isaiah 53:5 says But He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He (Jesus) was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

Two Different Genealogy Family Trees For Our Lord Jesus

     There are two different genealogy family trees for our Lord Jesus. Matthew 1:2-16 is the lineage family tree of Jesus' adopted father Joseph. Luke 3:23-38 is the lineage family tree of Jesus' mother Mary. Jesus is virgin born of Mary from the seed of the woman Eve (God is Jesus' Father) (Joseph is Jesus' adopted father). Isaiah 7:14 says Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin (Mary) shall conceive, and bear a son (Jesus), and shall call His name Immanuel (God). Note that Jesus is the son of God but Jesus also is God come in the flesh. 

     The reason Matthew records Joseph's lineage is because Jechonias (Coniah) is one of Joseph's grandparents. Jechonias (Coniah) is not listed in Luke's record of Mary's lineage. Now let's see why Coniah is important to determine that Jesus' is virgin born from God the father where Joseph is just the adopted father. 

     Jeremiah 22:28 speaks about Coniah and says Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.

     According to Jeremiah 22:28, because of Coniah's actions, a prophecy from God said that none of Coniah's descendants would ever sit on the throne of David. Therefore Jesus, who will sit on the throne of David in Jerusalem ruling with a rod of iron for 1000 years during the millennium could not have been a physical descendant of Coniah or his adopted father Joseph. Jesus is virgin born where God is His Father from the seed of the woman Mary. Jesus also came from the seed of the woman Eve because Genesis 3:15 says And I (God) will put enmity between thee (the devil) and the woman (Eve), and between thy seed and her seed (Jesus), it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.

     Coniah is not listed in Mary's genealogy listed at Luke 3:23-38 because God (not Joseph) is Jesus' Father and Jesus is not disqualified from sitting upon the throne of David and will be the king of this earth ruling for 1000 years in Jerusalem with a rod of iron. Notice that Mary's genealogy starts with Adam and Joseph's genealogy starts with Abraham. This is because Jesus is the seed of the woman Eve traced back to Adam in Mary's genealogy. Joseph is just Jesus' adopted father and therefore his lineage does not include Adam and starts with Abraham.

     Next notice that in Joseph's lineage in Matthew, Joseph's father is Jacob (Matthew 1:16). But in Mary's lineage in Luke, Joseph's father is Heli (Luke 3:23). Why are there two different fathers listed for Joseph in these lineages? History records that Heli had two daughters both named Mary. One was the mother of Jesus Mary and the second daughter also was named Mary (the sister of mother Mary) who married Cleopas (also called Alphaeus) who had a son who was one of the 12 disciples named James the Lesser the son of Alphaeus.

     Now notice that because Heli had no sons to preserve his family's inheritance, in accordance with the law of Moses, Mary's husband Joseph would become Heli's son upon marriage to maintain the family name. Therefore Joseph, when he married Mary, became the son of Heli according to the law of Moses and could legally be included in Mary's genealogy. Numbers 27 and Numbers 36 explain what happens when daughters have a right to an inheritance after their father had no sons. The daughters of Zelophehad claimed an inheritance after their father died with no sons. The husbands of these daughters received the inheritance upon marriage (Numbers 36:3).

     Therefore Mary's lineage in Luke let's us know that Jesus truly is the seed of the woman Eve prophesied at Genesis 3:15 because Coniah is not listed in Mary's lineage, Mary's lineage starts with Adam and Eve, and Heli (not Jacob) is listed as Joseph and Mary's father. This proves that Jesus is virgin born, God is Jesus' Father, Joseph is Jesus' adopted father, and Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords. 

     Pictured above we see how Jesus was raised to life from the dead. Matthew 28:2 says And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door (of the tomb), and sat upon it. Matthew 28:6 says that the angel of the Lord told the women He (Jesus) is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Like our Lord Jesus, Romans 8:11 promises But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (raise to life) your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.

     Soon our Lord Jesus will be the king of this earth for 1000 years. Revelation 20:6 promises that saved saints will be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Jesus for 1000 years. Jesus will come from heaven on a white horse to have His feet touch the mount of Olives and become the king of this earth in Jerusalem.

     During the millennium with Jesus, if someone asks Where are the cemeteries (like the one pictured above)? The saved saints will say that there are none because no one dies with Jesus. If someone asks Where are the hospitals? The saved saints will say that there are none because no one gets sick with Jesus on the earth. Everyone will declare Isaiah 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Receive Jesus' peace with victory and no more death or sickness forever. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     During the millennium, if someone asks Where are the old age nursing homes? The saved saints will say that there are none because no one gets old with Jesus. Isaiah 65:20 promises that during the millennium, There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 

     In other words when Jesus is king on this earth for 1000 years, it will be like the garden of Eden again and people will live for 969 years like Methuselah. Jesus will bring life, health, and peace to everything for 1000 years. Isaiah 32:15 says Until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. In other words, with Jesus on this earth, the watermelons, apples, and strawberries will grow so large that they will be like a forest.

     During the millennium with Jesus, saved saints with glorified bodies will live on this earth with saved and unsaved people in natural bodies. The people in the natural bodies will not age and a hundred year old person will have the strength of a young child, while a hundred year old sinners will be accursed for not getting saved with Jesus. It's amazing that when Jesus is King of this earth during the millennium, multitudes of people will  reject Jesus and be cast into the lake of fire.

     Finally, during the millennium, if someone asks a saved saint Where do you go to church? The saved saints will say we all go up to Jerusalem to worship the King named Jesus. They will proclaim Isaiah 6:1 I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and His train (hem of Jesus' robe) filled the temple while a great choir sings All hail the power of Jesus name; let angels prostrate fall; bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all.

     Next we see the first picture about Jesus' transfiguration at Mark 9:2 that says And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and He was transfigured before them. And His raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

     Notice that Peter was comfortable on the mountain top with Jesus saying it is good for us to be here. But Jesus knew that there was a little boy at the bottom of the mountain that needed deliverance from a dumb and deaf spirit. Jesus rebuked Peter and told Peter to leave his comfort zone and go with Him to save the little boy at the bottom of the mountain.

     Like Jesus, Brother Bob tells his friends everywhere, leave your comfort zones and reach out to lost sinners going into all the world to preach the gospel. Jesus told us all to be fishers of men and win lost souls by telling people all over this earth to get saved. And remember when anyone goes fishing, you have to go where the fish are to catch the fish. I pray in Jesus name, that we will all leave our comfort zones and go wherever Jesus send us to win lost souls to our Lord Jesus.

     Now take a look at the second picture above and I encourage my friends everywhere to take time to go to church and meditate daily on our Lord Jesus and the Word of God. A study showed that during the lifetime of the average person, they work 9 years, shave 2 years, eat 4 years, loaf around 20 years, and only go to church and think about Jesus for 1 year. I pray in Jesus name, everyone can change this statistic and devote many hours of their lives to our Lord Jesus. Someone said how much of the world can I enjoy and also have Jesus. Brother Bob says correction: We should say how much Jesus and the Word can I enjoy while I totally deny this world.

     For our final thought today we see pictured above Abraham and Lazarus in peaceful paradise while the rich man named Dives is tormented in hell. The story about the above picture is found at Luke 16:19 and says There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom (paradise): the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

     Now think about this; When the rich man died, presidents and many wealthy people attended the rich man's funeral and erected monuments named after the rich man. Several kings probably were the pallbearers that carried the rich man's casket to the grave. But when Lazarus died, no one attended Lazarus' funeral. But the angels were Lazarus' pallbearers that carried him to peace in paradise with Abraham. 

     Just a final thought for today: The outlooks bad and the downlooks worse, but the uplook is looking pretty good. And if you have the right uplook, you'll have the right outlook and win souls everywhere to our Lord Jesus. Keep looking up watching for the return of our Lord Jesus during the rapture. Luke 21:28 says And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Jesus Is The Truth; The Devil Is A Fake Imitator Part Two

     It's time to continue our discussion that Jesus is the truth and the devil is a fake imitator. Saved saints are called the new Jerusalem bride of Christ coming down out of heaven to sit upon the chief cornerstone that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Pictured above we see the apostle John's vision of the new Jerusalem bride of Christ at Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

     Now notice that the devil tries to imitate the new Jerusalem bride church sitting on our Lord Jesus (the chief cornerstone foundation). The devil has a Babylon great whore false apostate church sitting on the antichrist beast. Revelation 17:3 tells us So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman (the great whore false apostate church) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast (the antichrist), full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Revelation 17:5 goes on to say And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

     We see that the devil tries to imitate and be like Jesus. Jesus is the truth and the devil is a liar. Jesus is God in the flesh and Judas is the devil in the flesh. Jesus is the true Lion of the tribe of Judah; but the devil is a fake imitating powerless lion. Revelation 5:5 proclaims Jesus to be the true Lion of the tribe of Juda saying And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 1 Peter 5:8 describes the fake imitating devil roaring like a lion (notice the devil is a little l powerless lion and Jesus is a capital L Lion of the tribe of Juda). Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

     You might say Brother Bob how can I protect myself from the devil and his fake imitations? Brother Bob says daily by faith tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus that overcomes satan. The other day Jesus showed Brother Bob and his friend Tiffany that the blood of Jesus is the most powerful weapon to daily defeat the devil. Revelation 12:11 says we overcome (conquer victoriously) the devil by the blood of Jesus. In other words, the blood of Jesus totally defeats and puts the final whammy on the devil. The Word of God and the name of God (Jesus) are also powerful weapons to fight against the devil but not as powerful as the blood of Jesus.

     The Word of God will make the devil flee but won't overcome the devil like the blood of Jesus. When Jesus quoted the Word of God to the devil during His temptations in the wilderness, the devil would flee and come back again. The name of Jesus casts out devils (Mark 16:17 says In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils) but will not overcome and totally defeat the devil like the blood of Jesus. Quote the Word of God daily and post the name Jesus on your homes and everywhere to make the devil flee; but remember it's the blood of Jesus, the same yesterday, to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8 that will give anyone total victory to conquer and overcome the devil. God showed Brother Bob that the blood of Jesus is a fence around any saint that the devil can not go through.

     Simply stated; faith in Jesus Christ, the cross, and the blood of Jesus are the only ways to receive peace in this entire universe. Instead of drugs, alcohol, and fornication when you are stressed, place your stress daily by faith on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by saying I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus and watch your problems disappear. Hebrews 2:14 promises that when our problems are placed on the cross, they will be destroyed forevermore. When Jesus died on the cross, Jesus destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil and all our problems. And the blood of Jesus is the evidence and proof to the devil that our problems are destroyed forevermore.  Right now, worship and thank the Lord Jesus for dying on the cross for sinners and shedding His precious blood that gives us all total victory daily over the devil.      

  

     OK back to our discussion about how Jesus is the truth and the devil is a fake imitator. 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. During the time of Moses, God would create and remove plagues. Satan's magicians also would create the same plagues, but unlike God, satan's magicians could not remove the plagues. Therefore Pharoah had to constantly ask the God of Moses and not his magicians to remove the plagues.

     When Pharoah and the Egyptians did not let Moses and his people go, God plagued Egypt with frogs. Moses told the Pharoah at Exodus 8:2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs: And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs. Wow, Pharoah and the Egyptians had frogs in their beds, ovens, and kneadingtroughs.

     After the frogs plagued Pharoah, Pharoah said to Moses and Aaron at Exodus 8:8 Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the Lord. Then Moses asked the Pharoah at Exodus 8:9 When shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?

     Now, notice Pharoah's stupid response to Moses at Exodus 8:10. Pictured above Pharoah told Moses you don't have to immediately remove the frogs; I'll sin one more night with the frogs everywhere in the beds, ovens, and kneadingtroughs; Moses you can remove the frogs to morrow. Today, many sinners like Pharoah choose to enjoy sin one more night and delay getting saved.

     Unlike Pharoah, get saved right now today and not to morrow. You might not have time to make a decision to be saved tomorrow. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. God says at 2 Corinthians 6:2 I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured (helped) thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

 

     Pictured above we see a rich ruler who was a fake counterfeit christian kneeling before Jesus. Mark 10:17 says And when He (Jesus) was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? The rich ruler looked like a true christian by kneeling before Jesus, while he boasted in his good works calling Jesus Good Master. But he was a phony fake imitation of a christian, not willing to make Jesus God of his life.

     This rich ruler told Jesus all his good works by saying I did not commit adultery, I did not kill, I did not steal, I did not bear false witness or defraud, and I honoured my father and mother. Jesus responded at Mark 10:21 One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven (called the storehouse; note to give to the storehouse according to Jesus we must give our tithes and offerings to the poor): and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Mark 10:22 says the rich ruler was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

     Notice that the rich ruler was not willing to follow Jesus to get saved. All his good works of not killing, not stealing, not committing adultery, calling Jesus Good Master, and kneeling before Jesus could not save him. He looked good, but he refused Jesus who was his only ticket for salvation. This proves that only faith in the Lord Jesus, believing Jesus died for us on the cross, was buried, and rose again (and not good works) can save anyone. Jesus said at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Titus 3:5 says Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His (Jesus') mercy He (Jesus) saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

     It's a lie for parents to tell their kids, you be a good little child and you'll go to heaven, but if you're a bad little child, you'll go to hell. You don't go to heaven because you're a good little child and you don't go to hell because you're a bad little child. You go to heaven or hell because of what you do with Jesus Christ during this life. If a person repents, decides to stop sinning, confesses that Jesus is God, and believes the gospel that Jesus died for on the cross for them, was buried, and rose again, they will go to heaven. If a person rejects the Lord Jesus, that person will go to hell.

     Note also that repentance is required to be saved. Repentance means to turn from your sins (for most people this is drinking, smoking, and fornication) and live with our Lord Jesus by meditating on the Word of God. 2 Corinthians 7:10 says For godly sorrow worketh repentance to SALVATION not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. The prophet Isaiah had to repent first by saying  at Isaiah 6:5 Woe is me. for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips before he could be saved and say at Isaiah 6:8  Here am I (Lord); send me.

Revelations From The Word Of God

     For our first revelation today let's all say Micah 7:18: Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

     Now why did Jesus cast all our sins into the depths of the sea and not on the backside of the moon pictured above? Jesus placed all our sins into the depths of the sea because Jesus knew that some bird would build a flying contraption pictured above and discover the backside of the moon. But man has yet to discover the lowest depths of the sea where our sins are located. Friends everywhere, rejoice because Jesus knew to place our sins into the depths of the sea where they could not be found by any man or remembered any more.

     Right now get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Jesus promises saved saints at Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. What a blessing to know that the blood of our Lord Jesus will remove our sins forevermore. Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him (Jesus) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. If the devil ever makes you feel guilty for your past sins, say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and the blood of Jesus has removed my sins and guilt forevermore. Tell the devil I don't live here anymore; Jesus lives in me and my temple is occupied no vacancy devil and the blood of Jesus has removed my sins forevermore.

     Notice in the picture above that when America sends a person to the moon, we call that person an astronaut. When Russia sends a person to the moon, we call that person a cosmonaut. But Brother Bob says I don't want to be an astronaut or a cosmonaut, I want to be a was not like my hero Enoch. Hebrews 11:5 says By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and WAS NOT found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Let's all please Jesus like Enoch and become was nots on this earth where we soon will be caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds.

      Next notice that before the news reporter David Brinkley stated in 1969 that astronauts on the moon confirmed that the earth was round and circular, the prophet Isaiah in the Word of God said that the earth was round and circular. Isaiah 40:22 says It is He (the Lord Jesus pictured above) that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in. The Word of God declared that the earth was round and a circle thousands of years before Christopher Columbus or any astronaut discovered that the earth was round and a circle. 

     Man has incorrectly stated in the revised standard version of the bible at Isaiah 7:14 that a young woman instead of a virgin shall bring forth a son named Immanuel. The King James version of the bible correctly states at Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin (not a young woman) shall conceive, and bear a son (Jesus), and shall call His name Immanuel (God). The King James version of the bible correctly states at Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  Isaiah said that Jesus is Immanuel God before Jesus was born a baby on this earth. Matthew 1:23 said that baby Jesus is Emmanuel God with us because Jesus is God manifest in the flesh on this earth (1 Timothy 3:16). 

     People that defend the revised standard version of the bible say that Jesus is not God and just a great man and teacher born from an earthly father and young woman named Mary. They say that it is a biological impossibility for Jesus to not have both an earthly father and mother. But, Brother Bob says you tell that so called smart educated doubter that Jesus is the Son of God born of a virgin. Explain to him that Adam thousands of years before Jesus had no earthly father and mother. So Jesus could have a virgin mother and no earthly father because God is His Father. We have a lot of doubters and pouters, but few people are happy shouters like Brother Bob.

     Our third revelation is found at Isaiah 9:6 about the Lord Jesus. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah proclaimed that the Son Jesus is The mighty God and The everlasting Father. Hebrews 1:8 also proclaims that the Son Jesus is God: But unto the Son (Jesus) He (The Father) saith, Thy throne, O God (The Father called Jesus God), is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. When people ask Brother Bob if they should go to a psychiatrist for help, Brother Bob tells them to go to the Wonderful Counsellor named Jesus declared by the prophet Isaiah who will solve all your problems. 

     The other day I heard about a man that went to a psychiatrist and said doctor I think I'm a dog. The psychiatrist said How long has this been going on? The man said ever since I was a puppy. Then another man went to a psychiatrist and said doctor I think I'm a goat. The psychiatrist said how long has this been going on? The man said ever since I was a kid. Finally another man went to a psychiatrist and said doctor my brother thinks he's a chicken. Can you help him? The psychiatrist said tell him he's not a chicken. The man replied I can't; I need the eggs.

     People might say Brother Bob you shouldn't tell jokes on your website. Brother Bob responds by quoting Matthew 6:16 Be not as the hypocrites of a sad countenance. Proverbs 17:22 says A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

 

     For our fourth revelation, we will learn that everything in the creation is groaning and waiting for Jesus to return and take us to heaven. Romans 8:22 says For we know that the  whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves, also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

     All the animals in nature are groaning for Jesus and saying He's a coming. When a rooster crows, he says He's a coming. When a goose honks, he says He's a coming. When a mule hee haws, he says He's a coming. When crickets rub their legs together, they say He's a coming. And when crows caw, they say He's a coming. Isaiah 55:12 says For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. The birds are singing praises to Jesus in the mountains and the hills (birds have bills but they keep on singing); the branches on the trees of the field are clapping their hands while they praise our Lord Jesus. 

     Pictured above we see why crows are not harmed by cars on the highway. I've never seen a dead crow on a highway. Whenever a crow sees a car coming on the highway from a telephone pole, that crow signals to all the crows in the area saying CAR, CAR, CAR.

     For our final revelation let's see what happened to Jonah after he walked away from the whale on a beach pictured above. If Jonah met his friend on the beach and that friend said Hey Jonah we're having broiled fish tonight for dinner. Come by and eat with us. I could see Jonah say phew, no way, you can keep your fish.

     Three fellas in the bible had their appetites changed after life changing experiences. After the whale ride, Jonah didn't want any more fish. After the rooster crowed, Peter didn't want any more chicken. And after the prodigal son got out of the hog pen, he didn't want any more pork chops.

     A policeman stopped a preacher who had a bottle of wine on the back seat of his car. The preacher told the cop, officer that's only water on the back seat. After the cop tasted the wine, the cop said phew, preacher, that ain't water, that's wine. The preacher replied Praise the Lord He done did it again. God turned the water into wine.

Jesus Is The Truth; The Devil Is A Fake Imitator

     Today we will learn that Jesus is the truth and that the devil is only a fake imitator. The devil imitates the church with the synagogue of satan. The devil imitates God's ministers with satan's ministers of unrighteousness. The devil imitates Christ with the antichrist. Pictured above we see that Jesus is the true second white horse rider from the book of Revelation. Revelation 19:11 says And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True (Jesus), and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.

      But earlier in the book of Revelation we see an earlier white horse antichrist rider who is a fake imitator and the strong delusion sent to deceive people left behind on the earth during the great tribulation after the catching up of the saints. Revelation 6:2 describes this first white horse antichrist rider and says And I saw, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him (the antichrist) had a bow; and a crown was given unto him (by God to be a strong delusion and deceive many because they rejected Jesus): and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

     This first antichrist white horse rider has no power with a bow and no arrows and just one dinky crown given to him by God to be a strong delusion that deceives many people. But the second white horse rider who is Jesus has all power with many crowns and will have victory over the antichrist beast and the false prophet when Jesus casts them both alive into the lake of fire. Revelation 19:12 describes the second white horse rider Jesus and says His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns (not just one dinky crown like the antichrist first white horse rider); and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.

     So we see that there are two white horse riders in the book of Revelation pictured above. First the antichrist white horse rider at Revelation 6:2 and then the second white horse rider who is Jesus at Revelation 19:11. The first antichrist white horse rider comes from beneath and ascends out of the bottomless pit. This is proven by Revelation 17:8 that says The beast (antichrist) that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit. Jesus who is the second white horse rider comes from above to be the king of this earth for 1000 years. The first antichrist white horse rider comes at the beginning of earth's sorrows and is a false promiser of peace where war, famine, death, and hell follow him on red, black, and pale horses (Revelation 6:4-8 where the first four seals are opened). Jesus (the second white horse rider) comes at the end of earth's sorrows and brings peace and prosperity for 1000 years and forevermore (Revelation 19:11-15).

      2 Thessalonians 2:7 promises that saved saints will be taken out of the way and caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds forevermore before the Wicked antichrist (the first white horse rider) is revealed during the great tribulation. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 says For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth (the church holding back the appearance of the antichrist) will let, until he be taken out of the way (saints being caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds) (Then after the saints are caught up) shall that Wicked (antichrist beast) be revealed.

    1 Thessalonians 4:16 describes the catching up of the saved saints before the appearance of the first antichrist white horse rider during the great tribulation and says For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (Michael), and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Jesus is coming back with a shout and I'm going up with a shout.

     Note that the prophet Daniel said that the seven year great tribulation will not begin until the antichrist beast is revealed and confirms a covenant treaty for one week or seven years. Daniel 9:27 says And he (the antichrist) shall confirm the covenant (treaty) with many for one week (the seven year tribulation) . Hallelujah, saved saints will not be on the earth for one second of the great tribulation because the antichrist can not be revealed until after the catching up of the saints to be with our Lord Jesus in the clouds (proven by 2 Thessalonians 2:7 promising that the saved saints will be taken out of the way before the Wicked antichrist is revealed).

     I pray in Jesus name my friends everywhere can say along with Brother Bob, I'm going to be saved on the honeymoon with Jesus caught up in the clouds getting ready for the marriage to the Lamb Jesus and not be around for one second of that great tribulation mess. Friends, after saved saints are caught up to be with Jesus, the saved saints will return to earth on white horses along with the second white horse rider Jesus at the end of the great tribulation.

     Revelation 19:14 says And the armies which were in heaven (notice that the armies are the caught up saved saints that are in heaven with Jesus and not on the earth during the great tribulation) followed Him (Jesus) upon white horses, clothed in fine linen (Revelation 19:8 says the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints), white and clean. Get saved today and join God's blessed army. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Take time to read the following scriptures proving that saved saints will be caught up with Jesus and not be on the earth for one second of the seven year great tribulation wrath and the strong delusion of the antichrist first white horse rider. Revelation 3:10 says Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee form the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 says And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised form the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath (great tribulation) to come.

     Romans 5:9 says Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath (the great tribulation) through Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 says For God hath not appointed us to wrath (the great tribulation), but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Finally Luke 21:36 says Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass (the great tribulation), and to stand before the Son of man.

     I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this and all the saints can say I'm looking for the Christ in the air and not the antichrist on this earth during the great tribulation. Many people rejected the God (Jesus) who became a man but they will receive the man who will claim to be God (the beast antichrist). 

     Titus 2:13 tells us to look for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ (who will appear soon at an unknown time called a mystery in the air). 1 Corinthians 15:51 says Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

     Note that after the saved saints are caught up, then a strong delusion that is the first white horse antichrist rider will be the first thing to appear in the great tribulation to deceive the people left behind on the earth. The first antichrist white horse rider will deceive many people because they did not receive the Lord Jesus and did not love and worship Jesus. Many people will be deceived and think that the first antichrist white horse rider is Jesus because of his dinky crown and not realize that Jesus is the second white horse rider that has many crowns.

     2 Thessalonians 2:9 speaks of this and says Even him (the antichrist), whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth (Jesus), that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion (the first antichrist white horse rider), that they should believe a lie; That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

     Notice that the scripture above says people living in the great tribulation might (not will) be damned and have hope to be saved. And some of these people living in the great tribulation will get saved by enduring to the end. This is stated at Matthew 24:13 that says But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

 

     Let's compare two scriptures proving that Jesus is the truth and that the devil is a fake imitator. At Revelation 1:8 Jesus said I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (called Almighty God in Greek). So Jesus is, was, and is to come. Jesus was there when everything started. Jesus started it all. And Jesus is going to be there when it all ends. He's going to end it all.

     Now let's look at Revelation 17:8 that describes the beast antichrist who is a fake imitator of our Lord Jesus . Revelation 17:8 says The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition (destruction): and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

     Wow, the beast only was, is not, and yet is. This beast antichrist was and is not and is powerless and yet is because he will be tormented forevermore with the devil in the lake of fire. But Jesus is real and the truth who is, and was, and is to come. Jesus always existed and will exist forevermore with His saints in peace in the kingdom of God. Colossians 1:16 speaks about Jesus and says For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him (Jesus), and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

     Also note that there is the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. The devil again tried to imitate this by creating the devil, the beast, and the false prophet. Jude 11 discusses three people Cain, Korah, and Balaam who went to hell and represent the devil, the beast, and the false prophet. It is recorded that Korah went to the pit (hell) alive after the earth opened up and swallowed him because he rebelled against Moses. Jude 11 says Cain and Balaam are also with Korah in hell.

     We see the devil, beast, and false prophet in Cain who is a murderer of Abel representing the devil, Korah who is a beast or false leader of a rebellious people, and finally Balaam who is a false prophet who after he first blessed God's people caused the children of Israel to stumble by committing fornication with beautiful Midianitish women. This is proven by Revelation 2:14 that says But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

     Balaam is the Judas Iscariot of the old testament who was like Judas and for money was willing to teach King Balac to send beautiful Midianitish women to the children of Israel to commit fornication and curse God's people. Both Judas Isacariot and Balaam are destroyed forevermore because they loved money and this world more than our Lord Jesus. Jesus condemned Judas to the bottomless pit and the lake of fire at John 17:12 saying While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition (Judas Iscariot who went to his own place in the bottomless pit and not hell according to Acts 1:25)., that the scripture might be fulfilled. 

      Note that the Son of perdition beast antichrist in the bottomless pit who is Judas Iscariot is also called Abaddon and Apollyon all meaning destruction perdition at Revelation 9:11).The end place of Judas Iscariot (the antichrist that was, and is not, and yet is), the false prophet, and the devil will be the lake of fire.

The Jailor And Shimei

     Pictured above we will learn how the jailor got saved after a great earthquake freed Paul and Silas from prison. Acts 16:25 says And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

     But Paul truly loved his enemy the jailor and said to the jailor at Acts 16:28 Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he (the jailor) called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas. Now notice the question the jailor asked Paul at Acts 16:30; Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Paul replied at Acts 16:31 to be saved Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Right now friend reading this anywhere obey the Word and Paul's instructions for salvation like the jailor. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

 

     Notice that to be saved and go to heaven, Paul told the jailor that he must repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Paul didn't tell the jailor to go to a Latin speaking, bead counting, robe wearing priest who calls himself a father, and the bird ain't even married, and to top it off he dresses like momma. No, Paul told the jailor to go to the Lord Jesus for salvation and not a sinful priest or pope.

     Friend reading this anywhere, salvation is through a person named the Lord Jesus Christ. A priest or pope can not save you. Only the Lord Jesus can save anyone. Focus daily on the Lord Jesus and do not be distracted by looking to a priest or any person on this earth for salvation. Jesus is God and saves; not a priest or pope. John 17:3 proves this and says And this is life eternal (salvation forevermore), that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. In other words know Jesus who is the only true God and receive life eternal and salvation.

     1 Timothy 2:5 says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (not a priest or a pope). The pope needs to take off his bonnet and robe and get under the feet of our Lord Jesus like every sinner and repent to go to heaven. Matthew 23:9 warns us And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven (the Lord Jesus Christ).

     Now, notice in the picture above that our Lord Jesus was blessed to be baptized by John the Baptist. Baptism is a blessing but is not a requirement to be saved. Paul did not tell the jailor that he had to be baptized in water to be saved. No, Paul just told the jailor to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and he would be saved. The thief who was on a cross by our Lord Jesus got saved and went to paradise with Jesus without being baptized (that thief got drycleaned and made it to heaven and eternal salvation without water baptism).

     The blood of Jesus shed at the cross (the same yesterday, to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8) and not water baptism will wash us from our sins. Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him (Jesus) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood (not water). If water could save us we would sing What can wash away my sins; nothing but the water. What can make me whole again; nothing but the water. O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow, no other fount I know; nothing but the water. No, the truth is what can wash away my sins nothing but the blood of Jesus. I'm not saved by water; I'm saved by the blood of the crucified one; my Lord Jesus Christ.

     If water saved us, instead of singing At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, we'd all be singing At the millpond, at the millpond, where I first got dunked. If water saved us, instead of singing Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, we'd all be singing Amazing baptism how sweet the splash. Learn a lesson today friends everywhere, Jesus and not water saves us. If a person got baptized with all the catfish and shook hands with all the tadpoles, without Jesus he would die and go to hell. I just had to add this; How do catholics make holy water? They boil the hell out of it. And when the devils tried to get the pigs baptized by running them down a steep cliff into the water, the pigs died and did not receive salvation; but the devils came out of the pigs saying water regeneration (now we can enjoy some deviled ham). Again, baptism doesn't save; Only Jesus saves.

     Alright, one other note about how Paul told the jailor to be saved. Paul said that if the jailor got saved, everyone in his house also would be saved. Note that only the jailor's family members that stayed with him in his house got saved. If one of the jailor's relatives did not believe that Jesus is God, died on the cross, was buried, and rose again, and left the jailor's house, that relative would not be saved and go to hell. Philippians 2:12 says we all must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

     Pictured above we see that a man named Korah and his followers who rebelled against Moses went down alive into the pit of hell when the earth opened up and swallowed them. Numbers 16:33 speaks about what happened to Korah and his followers: They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit (hell), and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

     But, Korah's sons went to heaven and got saved. I'll prove this to you. If you look at Psalm 45 notice that it is written by King David to the sons of Korah. The sons of Korah got saved and went to heaven instead of hell. Psalm 45:15 proves that the sons of Korah are in heaven: With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

     So we learn that a father can go to hell while a son goes to heaven. Also a wife can go to hell, while a husband goes to heaven. This occurred when Lot's wife didn't make it out of the surrounding cities around Sodom, turning into a pillar of salt, and going to hell. Lot's wife turned into a pillar of salt because salt makes a person thirsty and in hell everyone's thirsty like the rich man Dives who couldn't get one drop of water to quench his thirst in hell.

      Lot's wife was warned not to look back at Sodom and Gomorrah and she disobeyed and as a result went to hell. Jude 7 proves this by saying Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire (note that fire is eternal in hell where Lot's wife is who died in a city surrounding Sodom and Gomorrah).

     But Lot, unlike his wife, made it to heaven by obeying God and not looking back at sinful Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot made it to a safe city named Zoar, got saved, and lived. Friends, this is why it is so important to witness to your loved ones and enemies and save lost sinners because each person on this earth has to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. A father can't save a son, a son can't save a father, a mother can't save a daughter, a daughter can't save a mother, a husband can't save a wife, and a wife can't save a husband. Only the Lord Jesus can save anyone. Right now, tell all your relatives and enemies to get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.  It's a command by Jesus that we all should obey at Mark 16:15 saying Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ) to every creature.

     OK, to end up today's bible study let's learn about a man named Shimei pictured above. Shimei is mentioned in the first picture at 2 Samuel 16:13 and says And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei (called renowned and famous) went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust. David told his soldiers to ignore Shimei saying at 2 Samuel 16:12 It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing this day.

     But, after David was restored to be the king over Israel by defeating his son Absalom, Shimei in the second picture asked for David's forgiveness by a ferry boat. This is recorded at 2 Samuel 19:18 and says And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan. And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

     Shimei went on to say at 2 Samuel 19:20 For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king. But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the Lord's anointed? And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel? Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

     Alright notice that Shimei's father was Gera. Notice also that Shemei had a left handed brother who was a judge named Ehud with the same father named Gera. Judges 3:15 states that Ehud's father was Gera. Ehud was a left handed man that fought against a very fat king named Eglon of Moab. Left handed Ehud delivered the children of Israel from fat Eglon by killing Eglon with a sword. This was day that lefty let fatty have it or we could call it the day that lefty gave fatty the shaft in a contest titled lefty vs. hefty.

     OK, let's return to our discussion about what happened to Shimei. After King David died, King Solomon allowed Shimei to build the house pictured above in Jerusalem by the brook Kidron. But Solomon warned Shimei that if he ever passed over the brook Kidron that he would die. This is recorded at 1 Kings 2:36 saying And the king (Solomon) sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Build thee an house in Jerusalem, and dwell there, and go not forth thence any whither. For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head. And Shimei said unto the king, The saying is good: as my lord the king hath said, so will thy servant do. And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days.

     But, if you read from 1 Kings 2:39-46 you will learn that after three years Shimei disobeyed King Solomon's command when he crossed the brook Kidron to recover his lost servants from Gath. As a result, King Solomon had Shimei put to death by Benaiah. It's interesting to note that the Hebrew definition for Kidron is a dark place. Shimei thought he could hide from Solomon in the darkness of Kidron and disobey the king's command to not cross the brook Kidron. But Solomon learned about Shimei's disobedience and had Shimei put to death.

     Proverbs 28:13 says He that covereth his sins (like Shimei) shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Friends, unlike Shimei, let's obey the instructions in the Word of God and avoid the sinful dark places called Kidron. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Titus 2:12 says Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

     Neighbor, God sees everything we do and sees all our sins in the darkness of Kidron. This should make us all obey Luke 9:23 where Jesus said If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Unlike Shimei, avoid dark sinful Kidron and daily live for the Lord Jesus because Proverbs 15:3 says The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Also Hebrews 4:13 says Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
