Jesus Hears And Protects Us All

Notice the picture above of Elijah sleeping under a juniper tree waiting to die and how an angel saved Elijah's life. Elijah was running from the witch Jezebel who was trying to kill him because Elijah had slain 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the groves (sacred trees or poles set up near an altar of Baal). If you have ever been in a place where you felt that the Lord Jesus had abandoned you and no one cared, this bible study is for you. I claim in Jesus name all who forevermore read this bible study will realize that the Lord Jesus never leaves them and will always be present with his angels to care, comfort, and deliver them from any problem in this world.

1 Kings 19:1 says And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the Gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

1 Kings 19:5 says And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

Elijah was so bold when he slew all the prophets of Baal, but a witch named Jezebel caused Elijah to fear for his life. Remember sisters of God reading this bible study, let the husbands make decisions in your household. God made the husband head over the wife. But husbands love your wives as Jesus loved the church and be willing to die for your wives. I tell husbands before you make final decisions for your house, let your wives feel that they are part of your decisions, but ultimately the husband must make the final decision for his household. Jezebel made decisions for Ahab and caused trouble. Later on in Ahab's life, when Ahab could not possess a vineyard owned by Naboth, Jezebel decided to take charge of Ahab's house and had Naboth killed. Ahab suffered for allowing Jezebel to make decisions for his house and later on in life both Ahab and Jezebel were killed for the trouble they caused Naboth.

Like Elijah, when you feel that no one cares about you and you don't want to go on, I claim in Jesus name that angels will be sent to encourage and give you hope, blessings, and life. Psalm 91:11 says For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. And note that the Lord Jesus will send innumerable angels and not just one angel to preserve and bless you.

I must admit that sometimes Brother Bob has felt like Jeremiah and said I won't preach anymore because of the mockings and persecutions I've endured for the name of Jesus. But like Jeremiah, Brother Bob says it's like a fire shut up in my bones and I can't stay myself. I know people will persecute me for Jesus and I'll shout even louder for Jesus amidst all the persecutions. Jeremiah 20:9 says Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Note that the Lord Jesus did the impossible for Elijah and made a cake appear out of nowhere prepared by an angel from heaven. Brother Bob calls the cake superman cake because when Elijah ate this superman cake, the cake had special vitamins in it and strengthened Elijah for forty days and forty nights. It's interesting to note that Elijah took one bite at first of the cake and then wanted to die. But the Lord Jesus loved Elijah so much that the angel was told to wake up Elijah a second time and encourage him to eat the cake and stay alive. The Lord Jesus loves us so much and like Elijah will keep encouraging christians by angels to live on no matter how many times they want to quit living this life.

The Lord Jesus hears us when we pray and has not deserted us. 1 John 5:14 says And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him. Ephesians 3:20 says Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. 2 Timothy 2:11 says It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us: If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself. Note the last verse. Even when we doubt and believe not, the Lord Jesus abideth faithful and will bless us anyway. Isaiah 65:24 says And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Notice the picture above of a little child looking at herself in a mirror. Like this child, look to yourselves and not to others while you better yourself. Don't be like Jeroboam who had has finger shrivel up when he pointed with his finger and found fault with the man of God. 1 Kings 13:4 says And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand form the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he set forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.

1 Kings 13:6 says And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the Lord thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the Lord, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. Don't be like Jeroboam. Instead point your finger back at yourself and say Lord Jesus make me a better person. Every day look by faith with your heart to Jesus Christ crucified and tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and the blood of Jesus has removed all my sins and overcome the devil.

Be like the little child in the picture above looking at herself in a mirror. We should all look at ourselves daily and ask the Lord Jesus to take away our sins. 2 Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 John 8 says Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. If you look to yourself and remember Jesus Christ crucified daily with your hearts, you will get the reward who is Jesus. Jesus said at Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Look to yourself and try to better yourself instead of criticizing and judging people around you. Matthew 7:3 says And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Be like the little child pictured above and look to the Lord Jesus who lives in our hearts daily. Don't look to other people and compare yourself to other people. 2 Corinthians 10:12 says For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

When You Look At Yourself, See The Lord Jesus And Get Saved
Get Saved, Repent, Decide To Stop Sinning,
Confess That Jesus Is God, And Believe The Gospel
That Jesus Died On The Cross For You, Was Buried, And Rose Again

The Names Of Jesus Who Is God

Today's bible study is very special and will list the many names of Jesus who is God. When I state all these names meditate on these names and get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. The picture above of Jesus on a high hill refers to His name El Elyon that means The Most High God. The scripture references for El Elyon are Genesis 14:20 that says And blessed be the Most High God (El Elyon), which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. Also Psalm 9:2 says I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High. Ephesians 1:20 says Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

The above picture also refers to the name of Jesus who is El Shaddai that means Lord God Almighty who nourishes, satisfies, and supplies. The scripture reference for El Shaddai is Genesis 17:1 that says And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God, walk before me, and be thou perfect.

OK, the above two pictures show Jesus who is Jehovah Raah, The Lord My Shepherd and Jehovah Rapha, The Lord That Heals. The scripture reference for Jehovah Raah is Psalm 23:1 and says The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Remember saint reading this, when you get saved, Jesus will be like a shepherd for you and always be with you and give you shelter from the evils of this world. Just look at Luke 15:4 that says What man of you, having an hundred sheep, If he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Now saint reading this, remember that when you get saved, you have eternal life and salvation and no man and not even yourself can make you lose your salvation. We should not judge others and say after they leave this earth that they went to hell. Philippians 2:12 says Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. No one knows what is in an individual's heart before he leaves this earth. A murderer and thief whose last breath was Jesus you are God, I repent, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for me, was buried, and rose again gives that murderer and thief eternal life and salvation. On the other hand, a person who went to church every Sunday and did good works but never got saved will go to hell and the lake of fire. Jesus said at Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Like the picture above of Jesus holding the lost sheep, I state to you all that once someone is saved they are always saved. Here's a scripture that proves this. John 10:27 says My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. After salvation, I might look like a rooster, but I ain't ever been plucked.

Someone once said Well what if I jump out of God's hand; Can I lose my salvation? Tell this unbeliever, saved saints are married to Jesus and bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh and it is impossible to jump out of the Lord Jesus' hand when you get saved. Hallelujah, no man and not even yourself can take you out of Jesus' hand. Jesus has you all in His hand when you get saved and once saved always saved. Jesus can't lie and take back his promise of eternal life to you when you get saved. Jesus is not an Indian giver that gives the gift of salvation and then takes it back or expects something in return. We can turn our backs and sin and forget Jesus but Jesus will never leave us or forsake us.

Saint reading this if you are saved, Jesus by an eternal covenant will give you eternal life and eternal salvation. You should not worry about backsliding and losing your salvation. This will cause you to boast in your own good works to keep you saved. Jesus does not want us to boast in our own works to obtain salvation. The work has already been done for us all at the cross of Calvary by Jesus. All that is required of a saint to be saved is faith in the finished work that Jesus has already done for us on the cross of Calvary.

If we boasted in heaven that our good works under the law saved us, we would not need the Lord Jesus to die on the cross and remove our sins. Galatians 2:21 says I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. I would not work my soul to save for this my Lord has done, but I would work like any slave for love of His dear Son. We don't work to be saved; We work because we are saved. We do good works after salvation to make our faith come alive and shine Jesus to this world. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Our good works for Jesus will be rewarded after the rapture at the bema judgment seat. Jesus said at Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Also, meditate on Galatians 3:13 that says Christ hath redeemed us (where Jesus' blood bought us out of sin and delivered and set us free) from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. Romans 10:4 says For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Therefore any curse in the old or new testament does not apply to you after you get saved and you can not lose your salvation. Some people worry about sinning the unpardonable sin of blaspheming the Holy Ghost after they get saved. Jesus said at Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

Brother Bob says that saved saints should not worry about blaspheming the Holy Ghost because Jesus has set them free from all curses and a saved person can not blaspheme the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 12:3 says Wherefore I give you to understand that no man speaking by the Spirit of God (a saved person with the Holy Spirit received at salvation) calleth Jesus accursed (A saved person can't blaspheme or curse Jesus and the Holy Spirit): and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost (this proves that when a person gets saved and calls Jesus God by the Holy Ghost, they also receive the Holy Spirit).

Only an unsaved person can blaspheme the Holy Ghost. Brother Bob has told unsaved people in prayer services that mocked healings and deliverance that they should beware of blaspheming the Holy Ghost. 2 Chronicles 36:16 says But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy. Proverbs 29:1 says He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. So remember saint reading this if you ever meet anyone that tries to use the Word of God to condemn and curse you, you can ignore their curses because Jesus has redeemed you all from the curse of the law. John 8:36 says If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

The second picture above shows Jesus who is Jehovah Rapha that means The Lord That Heals. Hallelujah Jesus is the Doctor that heals blind, lame, and crippled people. The scripture reference for Jehovah Rapha is Exodus 15:26 and says And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Open your bibles to Jeremiah 46:11 that says Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured. All Brother Bob has to say is Is there a Doctor in the house? Yes and his name is Dr. Jesus. Dr. Jesus has your medicine and heed Jeremiah's advice. Don't use other medicines in vain instead of trusting in the Lord Jesus. In the scripture above Gilead means Rock and Balm means medicine in Hebrew. So Brother Bob says go up to Jesus the Rock and take your medicine and rise and be healed. 1 Corinthians 10:4 says And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Notice the picture above of Abraham being provided with a ram to sacrifice instead of his son Isaac. This represents the next name for the Lord Jesus who is Jehovah Jireh that means The Lord Will Provide. The scripture reference for Jehovah Jireh is Genesis 22:13 and says And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day. In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

To the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, Brother Bob says thank you Jesus, when you (Jesus) died on the cross there was no ram in the bush. Jesus you took all our sins and sufferings on the cross of Calvary and we are crucified with Jesus Christ and Jesus has destroyed all our sins, worries, fears, and the devil for ever. Saint reading this you should every day thank Jesus for carrying and destroying all your worries, fears, and problems at the cross of Calvary. John 15:13 says Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. This occurred when Jesus died on the cross that is the greatest act of love ever.

My next name for our Lord Jesus is Jehovah Shalom that means The Lord Is Peace. The scripture reference for Jehovah Shalom is Isaiah 9:6 and says For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. It's amazing to Brother Bob that the prophet Isaiah called Jesus both a Son and the everlasting Father. Jesus truly is God. Jesus said at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Isaiah 55:12 says For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

OK, here is a listing of all the other names of the Lord Jesus with scripture references. Jehovah Mekoddishkem means The Lord Who Sanctifies You. Leviticus 20:8 says And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you. Jehovah Shammah means The Lord Is There. Ezekial 48:35 says It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord Is There. Qanna means Jealous. Exodus 34:14 says For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

El Olam means the everlasting God. Genesis 21:33 says And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God. El Roi means the God who seest me. Genesis 16:13 says And she (Hagar) called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after Him that seeth me? El Gibhor means The mighty God. Isaiah 9:6 says For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Jehovah Hoseenu means the Lord our Maker because Colossians 1:16 says For by Him (Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him (Jesus), and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. Psalm 95:6 says O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Jehovah Nissi means The Lord My Banner or Standard. Exodus 17:15 says And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation. Isaiah 59:19 says So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard (banner Jehovah-nissi)) against him. Note that the Hebrew definition for standard (banner) is that when the devil shall come in like a flood, the Holy Spirit shall lift up a standard against him (make the devil flee quickly and disappear).

Now look at the picture above while Brother Bob gives you the name Jehovah Sabaoth that means The Lord Of Hosts. Jesus pictured above in the middle of the angels is the Commander General of the Hosts or Army of Angels. Michael is the head warring archangel whose voice you will hear when the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout. The scripture reference for Jehovah Sabaoth is James 5:4 and says Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

Saint reading this realize that a war is going on and the battle is not yours but the Lords. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Jesus is the captain or general of this battle and the angels are His army or host to fight your battles. The captain that Joshua saw at Joshua 5:15 was the Lord Jesus. Jesus and his hosts of angels knocked down the walls of Jericho and gave Joshua the victory. Claim this next verse saint reading this for yourself. Psalm 91:11 says For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

The final name of our Lord Jesus is Jehovah Tsidkenu that means The Lord Our Righteousness. The scripture reference for Jehovah Tsidkenu is Jeremiah 23:5 and says Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is the name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Saint reading this if you want to be righteous, sanctified, and holy, Brother Bob has one answer for you JESUS. Don't try with your own works to be righteous, sanctified, and holy. With your heart daily remember what Jesus did for you all on the cross of Calvary and Jesus will be your righteousness, sanctification, and holiness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Heed The Prophets' Warnings

Notice the picture above of the Lord Jesus asking you to get saved and heed the warnings from some great prophets of ancient times. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Micah 6:3 says O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me. For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Jeremiah tells us at Jeremiah 2:5 Thus saith the Lord, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain? The Lord Jesus is not prejudice and is calling to you today to give your heart to Jesus. The Lord Jesus will receive whosoever comes to him and save them from this troubled world. Revelation 22:17 says And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Brother Bob like Isaiah says from Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Brother Bob like John the Baptist says to everyone repent of your sins today and confess your sins and then like in the times of John the Baptist, Jesus will arrive on the scene and take away all our sins and bless you with eternal life.

What message can we get about the Lord Jesus from a picture above of a bar of Yardley's soap with oatmeal and almond. Brother Bob says the bible speaks a lot about the picture above of a bar of soap. Open your bibles to Jeremiah 2:22 that says For though thou wash thee with nitre (a type of soap), and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God.

The reason you need Jesus to come into your life is because we were from birth all born as sinners. David said in Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 58:3 says The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Brother Bob tells everyone on this bible study that the only thing that can wash away guilt and sin is the blood of Jesus when you believe daily with your hearts what Jesus did for you at the cross of Calvary.1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

We are all sinners and only the Lord Jesus and not our friends, family, or church members can take away our sins. Jeremiah 13:23 says Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.  Jeremiah's parable above says like the Ethiopian who can't change his skin or the leopard who can't remove his spots, we can't by ourselves remove the sins we are born with. Only the Lord Jesus can remove our sins.

Next look at a wise saying from Solomon at Proverbs 27:22. Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him. This means if you take a fool and surround him with wheat or good friends at a church (like a doctor taking a pestle and mixing in a mortar the fool with the good church friends), the good friends won't take away the fool's foolishness. Only the Lord Jesus can take away our foolish sins and totally deliver us.

Take heed to the warning at Jeremiah 13:27. I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem. wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be? Brother Bob prays in Jesus name that any saint reading this will answer Jeremiah's question When shall it once be by saying Now Today Jesus I want to get saved, repent, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for me, was buried, and rose again.

Listen to the cry from David at Psalm 95:7. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. To day if ye will hear His voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

Notice the blessed picture above of a man who is truly doing 2 Chronicles 7:14 that says If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Take heed to the warning at Ezekiel 33:11 that says Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Brother Bob wants to give everyone a testimony. Several years ago Brother Bob was really being persecuted for lifting up the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:12 says Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Brother Bob after much persecution wanted to stop preaching and just live in the world and forget about anything related to the church.

But this bible verse delivered Brother Bob and kept him from going back into the world. I suggest that you memorize Romans 8:13 that says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. I realized that like David in the bible when he went back to the world and Ziklag and lost everything, I would die and lose everything if I went back to the world. Hallelujah, Brother Bob chose Jesus and life and denied the world and his flesh and got blessed. Choose life and Jesus and deny the world and your flesh daily. 1 John 5:11 says And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Open your bible to Psalm 34:12 and memorize this verse and say it whenever you want to complain, fret, think bad about anyone, or just sin when you are in traffic, at Walmart, or at the grocery store. Psalm 34:12 says What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Notice the picture above of a peaceful country log cabin. This log cabin represents a place of refuge from the storm. This little log cabin pictured above reminds me of the Lord Jesus who is our only refuge from the storms of this evil world. Isaiah 32:2 says And a man (Jesus) shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert (shelter) from the tempest (storm); as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Proverbs 18:10 says The name of the Lord (Jesus) is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Take heed to the warning of the prophet Zephaniah and hide in the shelter who is the Lord Jesus from the wrath coming upon this evil world. Zephaniah 2:1 says Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord's anger come upon you. Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.

Jesus is waiting for us to repent and hide in the safe shelter of Jesus. Isaiah 30:18 says And therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.

Isaiah 26:20 says Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. Like the days of Egypt, the blood of Jesus will protect you from God's wrath against sin. Exodus 12:13 says And the blood (of Jesus) shall be to you for a token (sign) upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Notice the picture above given to me by my christian friend Nini from Thailand of a photo taken from a plane where you can see Jesus' face in the circle. I claim in Jesus name that anyone who sees this picture will forevermore be blessed with joy, peace, and strength in knowing that the Lord Jesus always watches over them and protects them and will never leave them nor forsake them.

The Lord Jesus is in control of everything. Isaiah 40:12 that says Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span (distance from the thumb to the little finger), and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Proverbs 30:4 says Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in His fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is His name, and what is His son's name, if thou canst tell? Isaiah 40:15 says Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing and vanity.

My Choice Is Jesus

Notice the pictures above of the new heavens and the new earth where the Lord Jesus surrounds christians forever and the picture of a beautiful palace in this world offering many luxuries. Brother Bob says I'd choose the Lord Jesus over anything this world has to offer. Martin Luther said he would rather live in an old shack with Jesus than be forever without Jesus in the lake of fire. Brother Bob says I'd rather live in the corner of a housetop with Jesus and write these bible studies out of a one bedroom apartment with Jesus than be somewhere forever without Jesus.

I pray in Jesus name that whoever reads this bible study would choose Jesus and value Jesus over anything this world has to offer. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

The bible tells us that we can take nothing out of this world and only what we do for Jesus on this earth will remain forever. Ecclesiastes 5:15 says As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand. 1 Timothy 6:6 says But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Most people on this earth save large amounts of money only to realize later in life that they can not take the money with them. Jesus told the rich young ruler to give away his money and bless the poor and the rich young man chose the money over Jesus and did not help the poor. Jesus replied in Mark 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

The wealthiest emperor when he leaves this world has no more than the poorest beggar on the street. Psalm 49:16 says Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. The prophet Amos gave us all an example of people that loved the world more than Jesus and were more concerned about making money by selling corn and wheat instead of worshipping the Lord Jesus.

Amos 8:5 says Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? The sinners of Amos' time made the portions or ephah that they sold of corn and wheat very small and were greedy and charged a great amount of shekels to buy the corn and wheat. Amos tells us all that the people suffered because of their greed for money. Amos 8:10 says And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

Don't be selfish enjoying the fading pleasures of this world. Instead witness Jesus everywhere, daily study the Word of God, and bless fatherless orphans and widows while you build treasure in heaven that lasts forever. Jesus told us at Mark 10:21 that we build treasure in heaven when we bless the poor. Jesus said at Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Notice the pictures above of grapes and ears of corn. We can not take the grapes and corn on this earth with us to the kingdom of God. While in this world's vineyards and fields of our neighbors, we can pluck and eat only in this world, but can not pocket and carry away the food to the kingdom of God. Don't be like the man who built barns and stored all his fruits and goods in the barns and thought he could eat, drink, and be merry, taking ease for the rest of his life.

Jesus said at Luke 12:15 Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Jesus rebuked this man and said at Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall these things be, which thou hast provided?

Deuteronomy 23:24 says When thou comest into thy neighbor's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel. When thou comest into the standing corn of they neighbor, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbor's standing corn. This verse tells us to be content and eat daily what Jesus provides and be thankful. This verse warns us to not take more grapes in vessels and pluck more corn and save them for a future day.

Jesus said at Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Consider the birds that fly. The birds do not store their food in barns. Birds just put their beaks in the ground and by faith believe the Lord Jesus to provide food for that day. Birds have bills but they keep on singing.

There will be no bad thoughts of darkness or night in the kingdom of God. The Lord Jesus is the eternal light in the kingdom of God where darkness and night never exist. Christians don't have to sleep or get tired in the kingdom of God because light and day continually exist for ever. Revelation 22:5 says And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Rejoice about the light that exists during the millennium when Jesus rules this earth during the kingdom of heaven. When the Lord Jesus is on this earth during the millennium, Isaiah 30:26 tells us that the sun will shine like the light of seven days and the moon will shine like the sun. Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. Zechariah 14:7 says But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Rejoice about the light that exists with Jesus for ever in the kingdom of God after the millennium. Isaiah 60:19 says The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. The sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Revelation 21:23 says And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Christians will have perfect glorified bodies for ever living in Jesus' eternal light. Christians' lives in the kingdom of God will be infinitely better than the best time they experienced on this earth. Hallelujah.

My final picture above is a model family that is humble and praying to Jesus. Be humble, deny yourself daily, and glorify the Lord Jesus. Jesus said at Luke 9:23 If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. It's not about us but it's about exalting the Lord Jesus. John the Baptist said at John 3:30 He (the Lord Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease.

Note the following scriptures that tell us to avoid pride and be blessed by being humble. Proverbs 16:18 says Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 18:12 says Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. Luke 14:11 says For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. When Nimrod tried to build the Tower of Babel above God, the Lord Jesus would not allow man to rise above God and confused the people with various languages and stopped the building of the Tower of Babel. Instead of proud man traveling to the moon and Mars to only discover worthless rocks, man needs to be humble, bow down, and worship the Lord Jesus who will exalt christians to be caught up to heaven in peace forever with Jesus.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength. Obey Jesus Like Animals And Nature

Today, Brother Bob shows you all a picture of a group of rocks singing and praising Jesus. The picture is biblical and the bible says rocks and stones cry out and praise Jesus. Like the rocks and stones we all need to praise Jesus for dying for us all on the cross and giving us all hope to live in this wicked world. Luke 19:39 says And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, Master rebuke thy disciples. And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Isaiah 55:12 promises us For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. In other words, the birds in the mountains and hills praise Jesus with singing while the branches on the trees clap and wave their hands in the wind praising the Lord Jesus.

Now to anyone who reads this bible study forevermore I want to quote from a great writer named George Swinnock from 1649 and I want you to as you read this quote take a moment to think on the power of these words and realize how animals and nature praise, know, and obey Jesus. Here's the quote: Did Balaam's ass speak at God's command and reprove the madness of the prophet? Did ravens at God's command feed Elijah? Did caterpillars, locusts, frogs, and lice execute God's judgment upon Pharoah? Do fire, hail, snow, vapours, and stormy winds fulfill His word? Doth the earth open, the rocks rend, the stars fight in their courses, waters stand up in heaps as a wall, the moon stand still, the sun go backward, wildernesses tremble, things cross the course of nature to obey His pleasure and wilt thou not obey Him? Wilt thou be worse than these irrational and inanimate creatures?

Now after you read the above quote, here are the scriptures that describe George Swinnock's blessed quote. Notice the picture above is of a mule or ass that spoke and obeyed Jesus and rebuked Balaam and prevented Balaam from cursing God's people. Numbers 22:28 says And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee that thou hast smitten me these three times. We can all learn from the pictured mule or ass above who knows his Master Jesus according to the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah 1:3 says the ox knoweth his owner and the ass his master's crib. But Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

OK Brother Bob's next picture is of a crow or raven and yes this picture is biblical. Usually when Brother Bob does his morning jog, Brother Bob gets to see and hear several crows cawing. I usually think boy those birds sure make a lot of noise and racket, but Hallelujah Jesus can use the crows to bless us. When I look at these crows or ravens it reminds Brother Bob of Elijah and how the ravens obeyed Jesus and fed Elijah during a famine. 1 Kings 17:2 says And the word of the Lord came unto him saying, Get thee hence and turn thee eastward and hide thyself by the brook Cherith that is before Jordan. And it shall be that thou shalt drink of the brook and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. Lord Jesus help us all to be obedient like the ravens and go feed the hungry, visit the hurting, and take time for the poor people around us.

Why Are There No Dead Crows On Highways?
Because The Crows Always Signal Other Crows Saying
Car Car Car

Here's all the scriptures that George Swinnock in the above quote was referring to on how nature obeys Jesus. Just think when you read all these scriptures, if Jesus can control nature and make the earth open, rocks rent, the wilderness shake, the sun and moon to stand still, waters to stand upon an heap, and the stars to fight in their courses, Jesus surely will bless and fix all your problems. Psalm 29:8 says The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness. The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. Psalm 148:8 says Fire and hail; snow and vapours; stormy wind filfilling His word.

Numbers 16:32 says And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up and their houses and all the men that appertained unto Korah and all their goods. Matthew 27:50 says Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. Joshua 3:13 says And it shall come to pass as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above and they shall stand upon an heap.

OK, now meditate on this next bible verse from Judges 5:20 that says They fought from heaven; The stars in their courses fought against Sisera. I encourage those reading this bible study to go to the website blueletterbible which will give you the Hebrew definition of the above verse. The word courses in Hebrew is defined as ladderway and Sisera is defined as battle. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the stars are the angels that fight the battle for us daily against the devil. Look at John 1:51 that says And He saith unto him, Verily, verily I say unto you, Hereafter, ye shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. Jacob had a dream of a ladder going to heaven with the Father at the top of the ladder and angels going up and down the ladder. Well John 1:51 tells us all that the ladder is Jesus. Brother Bob always says CROSS WITH THE CROSS to God by Jesus.

Saint reading this Psalm 91 talks about angels and says at Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. The angels are coming down the ladderway or courses to fight the battle or Sisera for you all saints. Remember 2 Chronicles 20:15 and that Jesus is fighting your battle with His angels and anyone reading this bible study has the victory in every area of their life. 2 Chronicles 20:15 says And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem and thou King Jehoshaphat. Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; For the battle is not yours, but God's.

OK, everyone take a good look at the picture above of a sun setting in the west. Do you realize that Jesus was so powerful in the days of Isaiah and Hezekiah. Jesus made the sun go backwards and try to set in the east instead of the west. When I think about this and how Jesus walked on water it makes Brother Bob realize that with Jesus all things are possible. I claim to all that read this bible study if you are facing an impossible situation in Jesus name that Jesus can do anything and will totally fix your problem forevermore. Jesus told me to tell everyone that reads this bible study that they will be totally delivered from problems they've faced for many years instantly.

The bible verse that says Jesus caused the sun to go backward and set in the east is at Isaiah 38:8 and says Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned (turned back and went backwards) ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

Also, take note that Joshua which means the same as Jesus spoke to the sun and moon and the sun and moon stood still for an entire day. Remember saint if Jesus can stop the sun and moon, it is easy for Jesus to fix any problem you face. The scripture where Joshua or Jesus stopped the sun and moon is at Joshua 10:12 and says Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon and thou moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man for the Lord fought for Israel.

                    GOD                              JESUS                         LOVE

OK, now Brother Bob wants you all to look at the three words above. Jesus told Brother Bob to share a revelation given to Brother Bob from Jesus. Jesus showed me that we can only feel love from people that believe Jesus is God. I'll prove this from the bible. 1 John 4:8 says He that loveth not knoweth not God. For God Is Love. Now Jesus is God because John 10:30 states the words of Jesus to be I and my Father are one. 1 John 5:7 says For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (which is Jesus), and the Holy Ghost; AND THESE THREE ARE ONE. This scripture proves that Jesus is One with God and is God.

John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Revelation 19:13 tells us that the Word Jesus is God: And He (Jesus) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called the Word of God. John 1:14 tells us that the Word Jesus is God: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. full of grace and truth. God is called the I AM THAT I AM at Exodus 3:14 and Jesus stated He is God by calling Himself the I Am at John 8:58: Jesus said unto them Verily, verily I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am. Look at John 14:9 which proves that Jesus is God. John 14:9 says Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Since God is Jesus and God is Love, you can only see love around a person that believes Jesus is God. Now if someone thinks Jesus is just a man, teacher, prophet, and not God there is no love in that person.  Pray for Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews who do not believe Jesus is God. They all believe that Jesus is just a man, teacher and prophet and is not God. Therefore you will not feel love around Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews who believe Jesus is not God. You will feel love around saved christians in the church that believe that Jesus is God. But show the love of Jesus to Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews to save their souls for Jesus but speak out against their false doctrines.

Get Saved Today And Praise The Lord Jesus Like Animals And Nature
Repent, Decide To Stop Sinning, Confess That Jesus Is God
Believe The Gospel That Jesus Died On The Cross For You
Was Buried And Rose Again

I truly have enjoyed writing this bible study. Feel free to email Brother Bob at rz9tlm@gmail or write to Brother Bob Malkin 2233 Pinetree Lane Apt N., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. (614) 746-7071. Till we all meet again soon to lift up our Lord Jesus, everyone have a blessed day in Jesus name.

Heroes Of The Bible; Shiphrah And Puah, The Churches Of Macedonia, Moses, The Jailer, And Zacchaeus

Notice the picture above of happy midwives holding many newborn babies. This reminds me of some of my favorite heroes in the bible who were Shiphrah and Puah in Egypt. These midwives refused to obey Pharaoh's law to kill the Jewish baby boys because they feared God who forbid killing innocent children.

Brother Bob says obey the laws of your government. Don't speed in a car, pay your taxes, and do not steal. But when any government tells you to do anything that the Word of God forbids, disobey that law like the midwives in Egypt and the Lord Jesus will bless you and keep you alive. Proverbs 29:25 says The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

Exodus 1:15 speaks about Shiphrah and Puah in Egypt who got blessed because they obeyed the Word of God instead of Pharaoh's ungodly law to kill the Jewish baby boys. And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he (Pharaoh) said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that He made them houses. And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Because Shiphrah And Puah Feared God And Disobeyed Pharaoh
They Were Blessed With Houses And Saved Moses And The Jewish Boys

Two midwives named Shiphrah and Puah feared God and disobeyed Pharaoh's ungodly law to kill all the Jewish boys in Egypt. Midwives in the bible assisted women during labor and provided essential newborn care. A biblical midwife's responsibility was to assist women during labor while they gave birth to children on birthstools. Their standard duties after delivery were to cut the umbilical cord, wash the baby with water, rub the infant with salt, and wrap the baby in swaddling clothes.

Shiphrah and Puah are often cited as the first recorded instance of civil disobedience in history. As the Hebrew population in Egypt grew, Pharaoh feared that they would become too powerful and revolt. To control their numbers, Pharaoh summoned the two chief midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, over the Israelite population, and gave them a secret genocidal command: kill every newborn Hebrew boy but let the girls live. Pharaoh enacted an ungodly abortion law to kill innocent Hebrew boys.

Shiphrah and Puah refused to carry out Pharaoh's order because they feared God. They were motivated by a higher moral law to protect life. They used their professional expertise to save the Hebrew boys instead of murdering them. When Pharaoh realized that the Hebrew boys were alive, he summoned Shiphrah and Puah to explain their failure to kill the Hebrew boys. They offered a famous excuse and told Pharaoh that the Hebrew women were lively and gave birth so quickly that the babies were already born by the time the midwives arrived.

Because Shiphrah and Puah prioritized God's law to preserve life and disobeyed Pharaoh's ungodly law to murder innocent children, God dealt well with them and gave them houses (families) of their own. This is interpreted as God blessing them with their own lasting dynasties or families as a direct reward for their courage. Their defiance ensured the survival of the Hebrew people and directly enabled the birth and safety of Moses, who would eventually lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

The Hebrew meanings for the names Shiphrah and Puah explain why these two blessed women are remembered forever in the bible. Shiphrah means beautiful and fair and Puah means a splendid young woman. Many commentators point out the irony that the powerful Pharaoh remains nameless in the text, while the names of these two lowly midwives (Shiphrah and Puah) are preserved forever in the bible.

The doctors that commit thousands of abortions today to receive money that will not last should learn a valuable lesson from Shiphrah and Puah. These midwives pictured above were not afraid of Pharaoh and feared the Lord Jesus more than the rulers of Egypt and did not murder and kill innocent lives. One of the abominations listed at Proverbs 6:17 that God hates is hands that shed innocent blood. When a doctor performs an abortion and kills an innocent baby to receive money, that doctor sheds innocent blood and is guilty of premeditated murder. Doctors that perform abortions need to get saved, repent, and stop performing abortions. Doctors need to get saved and stop doing abortions and the blood of Jesus will wash away their sins.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel,
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Shiphrah and Puah were heroes because they did not obey an ungodly law and feared the Lord Jesus more than the Pharaoh. Jesus honored these midwives and blessed them with houses and did not let Pharaoh harm them. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that a precious little baby is a life that exists in a womb for nine months. God told Jeremiah Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Luke1:41 tells us that when John the Baptist was in Elisabeth's womb, John was alive and recognized the Lord Jesus in Mary's womb and leaped for joy. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. Baby John the Baptist in Elisabeth's womb rejoiced and leaped for joy in the presence of baby Jesus in Mary's womb. Like John the Baptist, just the mention of Jesus should make anyone or anything (men, women, babies in the womb, rocks, hills, trees, and all creatures ) rejoice for ever.

Brother Bob was adopted and at birth my real parents did not want me but the real parents let Brother Bob be born. I say to all women reading this bible study who God forbid experienced rape, please allow your child to live and place the child up for adoption. The real parents of Brother Bob let him live and now Brother Bob's life blesses half a million people everywhere with the good news of Jesus Christ at preachbrotherbob. Every baby in a womb deserves a chance to live, get saved with the Lord Jesus, and become a blessing by witnessing Jesus everywhere.

Some other heroes that God honored are the apostles pictured above rejoicing and praising the Lord Jesus after they were beaten and persecuted for preaching about Jesus. Acts 5:40 says And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they cease not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

I pray in Jesus name if you have suffered persecution for preaching about Jesus like the apostles, that the Lord Jesus gives you joy and strength to continue witnessing Jesus everywhere. Over the years Brother Bob has preached to thousands of people at Walmart, laundromats, grocery stores, restaurants, and on the internet at preachbrotherbob. Be like the apostles and count it an honor to suffer shame for the name of Jesus. 1 Peter 4:14 says If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. People aren't speaking bad about you. Lost sinners in the world speak bad about the Lord Jesus in us and we should rejoice about this. Pray for these enemies of Jesus and ask Jesus to save and bless them.

Learn a lesson from another group of people from the churches of Macedonia mentioned at 2 Corinthians 8 who are heroes to Brother Bob who through poverty and persecution continued to bless the poor and serve the Lord Jesus. Like the people from the churches of Macedonia, let's obey Galatians 6:9 that says And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

2 Corinthians 8:1 says Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

Like the people of Macedonia and the apostles, bless the poor in your community and relieve the fatherless and widows in their affliction. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. When the apostles took up an offering at Acts 4:34 the money was distributed to every man according as he had need. Acts 4:34 says Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold. And laid them down at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. Don't be like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5 who were selfish, kept their money, did not help the poor, lied, and died. Instead bless the poor and receive treasure in heaven with eternal life in the kingdom of God.

The next hero in the bible that God honored is Moses pictured above. Moses left all the treasures of Egypt (palaces, riches, and luxuries) and chose to serve the Lord Jesus and lead the children of God out of the bondage of Egypt. Moses could have been the top ruler and Pharaoh of Egypt but Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

Hebrews 11:24 says By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible. Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

My final picture for today's bible study and another hero that God honored is the jailer who Paul and Silas saved at Acts 16:27. The jailer who whipped Paul and Silas and locked them up in prison got saved and washed the stripes that he placed on Paul and Silas. When your enemy gets saved they become a new creature and a blessing to you. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The story about the jailer that got saved is at Acts 16:27. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

The story above made me think of the miser chief publican Zacchaeus who after he got saved gave away all his money to the poor. Zacchaeus got so happy when he got saved that if someone owed him $20, Zacchaeus paid him a fourfold blessing of $80 and totally forgot the $20 debt owed. I wish I could have seen the person who Zacchaeus approached thinking Zacchaeus was coming to get $20. Think about that person's joy when Zacchaeus rejoiced and gave that person $80, hugged the person, and said your debt is $0. The Lord Jesus can change your worst enemy and have him become a blessing to you. Jesus said at Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Luke 19:8 says And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
