My Choice Is Jesus

Saints take a good look at the pictures above of the new heaven and new earth where Jesus surrounds us forevermore and the picture of a beautiful palace in this world offering many luxuries. Brother Bob says I'd choose Jesus over anything this world has to offer. Martin Luther said he would rather live in an old shack with Jesus than be forever without Jesus in the lake of fire. Brother Bob says I'd rather live in the corner of a housetop with Jesus and write these bible studies out of an old one bedroom apartment with Jesus which currently I do than be somewhere forever without Jesus. I pray everyone forevermore reading this bible study in Jesus name would choose Jesus and value Jesus over anything this world has to offer.

Saint reading this, the bible tells us we can take nothing out of this world and only what we do for Jesus on this earth will remain forever. Ecclesiastes 5:15 says As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour which he may carry away in his hand. 1 Timothy 6:6 says But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. Most people on this earth save large amounts of money only to realize later in life that they can not take the money with them. Jesus told the rich young ruler to give away his money and bless the poor and the rich young man chose the money over Jesus and did not help the poor. Jesus replied in Mark 10:25  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

The wealthiest emperor when he leaves this world has no more than the poorest beggar on the street. Psalm 49:16 warns us all and says Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased. For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away; his glory shall not descend after him. The prophet Amos gave us all an example of people that loved the world more than Jesus and were more concerned about making money by selling corn and wheat instead of worshipping Jesus. Amos 8:5 says Saying, when will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? And the Sabbath (Defined as Rest or Worshipping Jesus), that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small and the shekel great and falsifying the balances by deceit. The sinners of Amos' time made the portions or ephah that they sold of corn and wheat very small and were greedy and charged a great amount of shekels to buy the corn and wheat. Amos tells us all that the people suffered for their greed for money and Amos 8:10 says And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

OK everyone you might all say when you look at the pictures above, Brother Bob is at it again with pictures of grapes and ears of corn. Well as I always say it is biblical. Today saint reading this you will learn a lesson from the book of Deuteronomy that you can not take the grapes and corn with you out of this world to the kingdom with Jesus. While in this world's vineyards and fields of our neighbors, we can pluck and eat only in this world, but can not pocket and carry away the food to the kingdom. Brother Bob warns you all to not be like the man in Luke 12:16 who built barns and stored all his fruits and goods in the barns and thought he could eat drink and be merry, taking ease for the rest of his life. Jesus rebuked this man and Luke 15:20 says But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee, then whose shall these things be, which thou hast provided?

Deuteronomy 23:24 says When thou comest into thy neighbor's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure, but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel. When thou comest into the standing corn of they neighbor, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand, but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbor's standing corn. This verse tells us all to be content and eat daily what Jesus gives us and be thankful. The verse above warns us all to not take more grapes in vessels and cut down more corn and save this for a future day. Jesus knows each day what we all need. Brother Bob says look at the birds that fly. The birds do not store away their food in barns. Birds just put their beaks in the ground and by faith believe Jesus to provide a worm for that day's food. The above verse reminds Brother Bob of Acts 5 and Ananias and Sapphira who stored their goods and were selfish and did not share them with the poor. Ananias and Sapphira both died for being greedy and selfish and Acts 5:3 says But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Acts 5:5 says And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost; and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

The above verse reminds Brother Bob of when Jesus provided manna to the children of God in the wilderness. Moses gave the children of God instructions to only gather manna for a day's meal. Moses told the people if they got greedy and took more than a day's worth of manna, that the manna would spoil and breed worms. Moses also told the people to not gather manna on the sabbath and to take two days worth of manna before the sabbath day. Unfortunately, some of the children of God got greedy and took and hid more than a day's worth of manna and the extra manna spoiled and was covered with worms. Also, some of the children of God went out on the sabbath to find manna out of greed and wasted time and energy for no manna  appeared on the sabbath day. I encourage you all to read about the story of the manna at Exodus 16.

OK saint reading this bible study look at the above picture and realize that only Jesus and what we do for Jesus on this earth will survive the fire that is coming to destroy this old heaven and earth. 1 Corinthians 3:11 says For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, every man's work shall be made manifest for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire. And the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. Brother Bob tells people if Jesus offered me to have only one wish on an island of anything Brother Bob wanted, Brother Bob would chose The Word of God which is Jesus for Mark 13:31 says Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.

Saint reading this, Jesus and the kingdom above is so much better than anything this world has to offer. A minister once said that the sight of 500 saints and Jesus among them was one of the bravest, goodliest sights that ever eyes beheld on the earth. But, Brother Bob says that in the kingdom with Jesus, it is a far better sight to see Jesus amongst an innumerable company of angels and the four beasts continually worshipping Jesus forever. The corresponding bible verses to the above revelation are 1 Corinthians 15:6 which says After that He was seen of above 500 brethren at once. Hebrews 12:22 says But ye are come unto Mount Sion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

If David placed all his delight in the saints on the earth below when they shined a little with the light of purity, what delight will David take in these saints in the kingdom above who shine as the sun in the firmament in perfect purity. The corresponding bible verses to the above revelation are Psalm 16:3 which says But to the saints that are in the earth and to the excellent in whom is all my delight. Matthew 13:43 says Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father, who hath ears to hear let him hear.

Finally, look and meditate on these two gems from the Word of God about how beautiful and splendid the kingdom of God will be when we see Jesus forevermore. Isaiah 35:10 says And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 60:19 says The sun shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee. But, the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

My final picture for today's bible study is a model family that is humble and not proud and praying to Jesus. I encourage any person who reads this bible study to remain humble and display temperance or self denial daily and be humble and lift up Jesus while they deny themselves. Psalm 138:6 says Though the Lord be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly; But, the proud He knoweth afar off. It's interesting to note that Jesus appeared to Moses not in a lofty high cedar but in a low abject humble bush.

Look how humble David was when the prophet Nathan told him that God would build him a sure house. David's response is recorded at 2 Samuel 7:18 and reads Then went King David in and sat before the Lord and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto. Brother Bob has learned that when people flatter Brother Bob about how great Brother Bob is after a miraculous healing occurs, Brother Bob tells the people that Jesus and not Brother Bob healed the people and to worship Jesus. Be careful of flattery. Proverbs 29:5 warns us all that A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet. People might disappoint us all but Jesus will never disappoint anyone. Put your trust daily in Jesus and not man.

Finally, two other scriptures of note are Proverbs 16:18 which says Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 18:12 says Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. Remember, the lower the foundation of a building, the higher the building will rise into the sky. Luke 14:11 says For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Remember the lesson of Genesis 11 and the Tower of Babel of how Jesus would not allow man to rise above God and confused the people with various languages and stopped the building of the Tower of Babel.

Saints I've enjoyed writing today's bible study and I pray in Jesus name it blesses people today and many years from now. It amazes Brother Bob how Jesus has allowed Brother Bob to reach nations like Thailand, Singapore, Greece, and Brazil from a one bedroom apartment in Reynoldsburg, Ohio to tell the nations about the good news of Jesus. Feel free to email Brother Bob anytime at rz9tlm@gmail.com or write to Brother Bob Malkin, 2233 Pinetree Lane, Apt. N. Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. (614) 604-7133.
