Five Types Of Grace
1) Saving Grace
The first type of grace is saving grace. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Saving grace occurs when you by faith believe the finished work done by our Lord Jesus at the cross of Calvary. Right now get saved by grace. Get saved, repent, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.
Saving grace occurs when you trust in Jesus alone to get to heaven. Good works, church attendance, twiddling the rosary beads, kissing the pope's big toe, or getting baptized won't save you. Just because I walk down an aisle and shake a six foot spiritual icicle's hand, answer some questions, do some good works, get dunked in the pool, and blend in with the crowd won't save me. The truth is simply stated at 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son (Jesus) hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Trust Jesus and go to heaven. Trust anything else and go to hell.
One time a woman told a preacher "We're all working to get to the same place." The preacher replied "Yes, and you're going to get there if you aren't careful." Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You get wages when you sin that is death and everlasting hell. Instead of working to get the wages of death and hell, by faith with your heart receive the free gift of God's salvation that is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Good works occur after salvation that are rewarded after the rapture at the bema judgment seat for saints. Jesus said at Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly (at the rapture), and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 2 Timothy 4:1 says I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge (at the bema judgment seat) the quick (saints that are alive at the rapture) and the dead (in Christ) at His appearing (after the rapture when Jesus first appears in the air to meet the saints in the clouds) and His kingdom. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works (notice that after salvation good works occur to shine Jesus to lost sinners), which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Grace gives us boldness to approach the throne of God without guilt where the blood of Jesus removes our sins. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Hebrews 4:16 says Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
After salvation with Jesus, how comforting to say but for the grace of God where would I be? But for the grace of God, Brother Bob would either be in jail, on dope, or dead in a grave. The grace of Jesus saved Brother Bob from drinking, stealing, gambling, and prison and delivered me from a life with gangs and gambling in Atlantic City. Almost all my former sinful friends without Jesus are either in jail or dead. Where would we be but for the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ?
Your worst days are never so bad
that you are beyond the reach of God's grace
And your best days are never so good
that you are beyond the need of God's grace
A blessed story about grace to make you smile
One day a man met a lady at the barbershop. The lady said would you mind if a woman gave you a shave. The man let the woman shave him. The woman told the man that her name was Grace. After one week the man did not have to shave. After one month the man did not have to shave. This man said "I'll have to thank Grace for the blessed shave and tell her I didn't have to shave for a month." When Grace heard about this blessing, Grace told the man, "You're blessed because when you're shaved (saved) by Grace; Once shaved always shaved."

I Pray In Jesus Name It Blesses You
Once there was a Norwegian violinist who was an expert violinist and the best in the world. This master violinist could make any violin play beautiful music. One day this violinist got lost in the woods. While walking through the forest, he found an old man's house. The violinist entered the old man's house and began to talk to the old man. On the shelf was an old violin that hadn't been played for one hundred years.
The master violinist said I like your old violin. The old man replied, "That violin isn't much, It just squeaks and can't keep a tune." The master violinist told the old man "Let me try to play that old violin." He took that old violin, wiped off the dust, and tuned the old violin. Then he took a bow and began to play that old violin. When he played, the most beautiful music filled the room. The old man said "I can't believe that old sorry good for nothing violin is producing such beautiful music and a wonderful melody."
The old violin represents our old sinful nature that can't accomplish anything. But when Jesus' nail scarred hand reaches down from heaven to save a lost sinner, that sinner becomes a new creature that is blessed and can perform the impossible. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. Remember Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
The difference wasn't in the the violin
The difference was the touch of the master's hand
The Touch Of The Master's Hand Poem By Myra Brooks Welch
Many a man with life out of tune and battered and scarred with sin
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd much like the old violin
But the master comes and the foolish crowd never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought by the touch of the master's hand
I pray in Jesus name that everyone reading this can say the difference in their life was the touch of the Master Jesus' hand on their life. Be blessed and click this youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6a9yxXxIDs and sing with the precious children the words below of He Touched Me.
Shackled by a heavy burden; 'Neath a load of guilt and shame
Then the hand of Jesus touched me; And now I am no longer the same
He touched me; Oh He touched me
And Oh the joy that floods my soul
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and He made me whole
Since I've met this blessed Saviour; Since He cleansed and made me whole
Oh I will never cease to praise Him; I'll shout it while eternity rolls
Five Types Of Grace
2) Schooling Grace
The second type of grace is schooling grace. Titus 2:11 says For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. In other words the grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Twas grace that taught my heart to fear; And grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear; The hour I first believed.
After salvation, you enter the school of God's grace where the Holy Ghost teaches you the Word of God. In God's school of grace there are no graduates walking on earth because we forever learn the infinite wisdom of the Word of God. John 21:25 says And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Since the wisdom from God's Word is infinite, don't say I know everything about God's Word. Instead say The more I know the less I know, always seeking to learn more about God's infinite Word. 1 Corinthians 8:2 says And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
God's Word is like the ocean pictured above. We only know the foam at our feet but the endless infinite wisdom from God's Word can be seen by the vast oceans of water beyond our sight. Thank you Lord Jesus for your blessed Word that's like a christmas present. Every time we open the Word of God, there is always something new to learn to give us joy, peace, and happiness.
Five Types Of Grace
3) Sufficient Grace
The third type of grace is sufficient grace. Jesus said at 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. The grace of Jesus Christ is sufficient with an endless supply to overcome any trouble in this life. The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any enemy or gun and is sufficient to protect you from the troubles of this world.
Let the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ give you victory in every area of your life to overcome this troubled world. Every day say Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with (Jesus) Christ. By faith with your heart daily see Jesus Christ crucified that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8. See all your problems, fears, worries, and sickness crucified and removed forever at the cross of Calvary. Praise our Lord Jesus for dying for wretched sinners like you and me. Jesus will remove all our troubles. Give your burdens to Jesus because 1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon Him; for He (Jesus) careth for you. Hebrews 2:14 says Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death (on the cross of Calvary) He might destroy Him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.
Five Types Of Grace
4) Sustaining Grace
The fourth type of grace is sustaining grace that keeps you living for Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:9 says Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. Sustaining grace strengthens missionaries to preach in jungles and remote huts about Jesus.
Pictured above, an American tourist saw a happy missionary living and crawling around in filthy huts telling little African children about Jesus. The American tourist told the missionary "I wouldn't do that for a million dollars." The missionary replied "I wouldn't either; But I'd do it for Jesus because He's done so much for me."
Receive sustaining grace to keep living for Jesus through troubles by saying the following two scriptures for strength. Say Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Say 2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
Follow the steps of Jesus noted at 1 Peter 2:21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously. In other words don't hold onto your problems. Give your problems to Jesus who will remove all your troubles. Let go and let God while you daily by faith cast your cares upon Jesus and the cross of Calvary. Thank Jesus for His GRACE that is God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
Five Types Of Grace
5) Surpassing Grace
The fifth type of grace is future surpassing grace. Ephesians 2:7 says That in the ages to come He (Jesus) might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. When saints get to heaven, Jesus will polish them up and put them on display. When the angels ask "Who are these saints?" Jesus will reply "They are my trophies of grace." Then all the saints will sing about God's future surpassing grace singing "When we've been there 10000 years bright shining as the Son, we've no less days to sing God's praise then when we first begun."

While You Sing The Words Below For Grace Greater Than Our Sin
Written By Julia H. Johnston 1911
Marvelous grace of our loving Lord; Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt
Yonder on Calvary's Mount outpoured; There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt
Grace, grace, God's grace; Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's grace; Grace that is greater than all our sin
Sin and despair like the sea waves cold; Threaten the soul with infinite loss
Grace that is greater; Yes grace untold; Points to the refuge the mighty cross
Marvelous infinite matchless grace; Freely bestowed on all who believe
All who are longing to see His face; Will you this moment His grace received
Romans 5:20-21
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
