The Many Hopes With Jesus

The Many Hopes With Jesus
1) The Blessed Hope

With Jesus there are many hopes to encourage us with joy and strength. Without Jesus in the world there is no hope for encouragement. Hebrews 6:18 says That by two immutable (unalterable) things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

In other words Jesus is our hope that is a sure stedfast anchor where the storms and troubles around us will not move us or take away our peace. But without Jesus in the world people have no hope. Ephesians 2:12 says That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

1 Corinthians 15:19 says If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Choose to get saved with Jesus and receive an everlasting hope of joy and peace that is better than anything this world has to offer. Jesus said at John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. Receive eternal joy with Jesus today. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

The first hope with Jesus is called The Blessed Hope defined at Titus 2:13 that says Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. In other words the blessed hope is when Jesus appears in the air to meet His saved saints caught up to the clouds during the rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 describes the blessed hope saying For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Romans 5:1-2 says that we should rejoice about the blessed hope of Jesus' soon return during the rapture for His saints. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in (the blessed) hope of the glory of God.

We know that the blessed hope will occur where Jesus will return in the air to meet the saved saints during the rapture because our hope is in God's Word that is the truth. Romans 15:4 says For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Psalm 119:81 says My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy Word. Psalm 119:114 says Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy Word.

Rejoice because the Lord Jesus is called the God of Hope. Only Jesus gives us the hope of eternal peace and joy forever. Mohammed, Buddha, Confucius, and any other false religion do not offer hope. Right now receive strength with Jesus and say Romans 15:13: Now the God of hope (Jesus) fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. I've never met anyone that regretted having Jesus in their life. Jesus always makes a person better with joy, encouragement, and hope to overcome any trouble in this world.

History tells us that when sailors had trouble sailing around Africa to India, they named the troubled seas around Africa the Cape of Tempest. But Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias, who successfully sailed around Africa to India in 1488, renamed the peaceful seas around Africa the Cape of Good Hope. And saved saints with captain Jesus (according to Hebrews 2:10) have a good hope that will safely take them through the troubled storms of this life on the old ship of Zion that will soon sail into the beautiful harbor of heaven and dock safely. Right now claim the promise of 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace Himself (Jesus) give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
2) The Hope Of Having A New Body

The next hope with Jesus is the hope of having a new body. Philippians 3:20 says For our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven: from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (to appear during the rapture): Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

In other words saved saints will receive their new glorified bodies during the rapture. 1 John 3:2 says Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He (Jesus) shall appear, we shall be like Him (receiving glorious new bodies), for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

Everyone has a body, soul, and spirit. When a person gets saved their soul and spirit is redeemed. And soon when the rapture occurs and saints are caught up to be with Jesus, the saints' bodies will be redeemed where they will receive new glorified bodies fashioned like Jesus' glorious body. Romans 8:23 says that saints groan within themselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (at the rapture). In other words when a saint dies before the rapture, their soul and spirit remains alive with Jesus in heaven while their fleshly body remains on the earth waiting for the rapture to receive a glorified body. 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us when a saint is absent from his body, his soul and spirit is present with the Lord.

Now when Jesus returns during the rapture, Jesus will bring with him the souls and spirits of the saints that died in Christ. This is promised at 1 Thessalonians 4:13 that says But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus (the dead in Christ) will God bring with him. Then at the rapture all the dead in Christ will receive glorified bodies for their souls and spirits. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 promises For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (instantly receiving glorified bodies) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Note that according to time, saved saints receive their glorified bodies during the rapture. But according to eternity where the Lord Jesus dwells, saved saints won't have to wait until the rapture to receive their glorified bodies. Isaiah 57:15 says that the Lord Jesus inhabiteth eternity and according to 2 Corinthians 5:8 to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Therefore according to eternity, when a saved saint leaves his body on this earth, he will be with the Lord Jesus in eternity with a glorified body instantly with no time limitations being able to travel billions of infinite years into the future beyond the rapture.

A group in Melbourne, Florida launched a rocket into outer space that contained the ashes of 10,330 dead people. This rocket continuously orbited 1900 miles above the earth. There was a reflective surface on the rocket that could be viewed through telescopes on earth by beloved relatives. Brother Bob says don't put my body or what remains of my body into a rocket to orbit this fading earth. Soon Brother Bob is leaving this earthly body and I'll have a new glorious body that will fly higher than any earthly rocket out of the milky way galaxy and above all the planets and stars to live in the new heavens with Jesus forever.

With Jesus our earthly remains don't need to be placed in a rocket constantly orbiting this fading earth. And our earthly remains don't need to be frozen for an earthly scientist to recreate life in the future. Everything on this earth (rockets with ashes of dead people and frozen remains of dead people) will all be burned up and vanish away. But with Jesus, after this earth gets burned up, saints will have new glorified bodies and live forever in the new heavens and new earth with Jesus.

2 Peter 3:12 says Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. And Isaiah 65:17 says For, behold, I (Jesus) create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.  Finally Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Now remember when a saved saint dies and leaves this earth to be with Jesus, their grave, tomb, or cemetery plot is only a temporary borrowed place.  Ain't no grave gonna hold a saint's body down. Every saint buried in a temporary grave will soon be raised with new glorified bodies like Jesus to live in heaven forever. Remember Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb because Jesus only planned on staying there for three days. And after three days Jesus rose and He is no longer in the borrowed tomb. The angels proclaimed at Matthew 28:6  He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
3) The Hope Of A Reunion With Our Christian Friends And Family

The third hope with Jesus is the hope of a reunion with our christian friends and family. Who will be the first person you see during the rapture? Most people think that the first person they will see during the rapture will be Jesus. But the first people we will see in heaven will be our saved friends and family that will happen at the great reunion campmeeting in the clouds during the rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 says Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them (the dead in Christ) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. How encouraging that before we all meet Jesus in the air, we can travel with our saved friends and family to praise Jesus forever. I'm glad I won't be alone to meet Jesus. I'll be with all my saved friends and family at the great reunion in the clouds to meet our Lord Jesus. Get saved and don't miss this glorious open air campmeeting with our Lord Jesus.

And how comforting to realize that we'll all know and recognize one another in heaven. 1 Corinthians 13:12 says For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Moses died and God buried Moses where no one knew the location of Moses' grave. The devil wanted Moses' dead body to prevent Moses' resurrection to life on the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus. The archangel who is Michael (not Gabriel) rebuked the devil and did not allow the devil to have Moses' dead body. Jude 9 says Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Moses with Elijah appeared alive on the Mount of Transfiguration, and Peter, James, and John knew and recognized Moses and Elijah standing by transfigured Jesus. Like Moses who lives forever after death and burial in a grave being recognized thousands of years after his death by Peter, James, and John, saints will live forever and be known and recognized in heaven in their glorious bodies. Matthew 17:3 says And, behold, there appeared unto them ((Peter, James, and John) Moses and Elias talking with Him (Jesus) (On the Mount of Transfiguration). Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

What an encouraging hope of seeing and recognizing blessed saints like Moses, Elijah, David, Peter, Paul, John Bunyan, John Wesley, Lorenzo Dow, DL Moody, CT Studd, Gladys Aylward, Jim Elliot, and Julius Hickerson.  How encouraging that with Jesus there is hope after death and the grave. But the wicked without Jesus have no hope after death and the grave. Without Jesus, wicked lost sinners die twice in hell and the second death in the lake of fire. Proverbs 14:32 says The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

On earth, when families have reunions, there usually is a blessed dinner with the finest foods. But the heavenly reunion of all the saints is better than any earthly reunion. After the heavenly reunion, there's going be a marriage supper during the millennium that is better than any earthly supper or dinner. This marriage supper of the Lamb has been prepared for all the saved saints by Jesus. And Jesus is going to personally serve all the saved saints with this glorious feast.

Who Will Be At The Marriage Supper Of The Lamb During The Millennium
1) The Bride Church
2) The Bridegroom Jesus
3) Friends Of The Bridegroom-Old Testament, Tribulation, And Millennial Saints

After the marriage ceremony in heaven between the bride church and the bridegroom Jesus, King Jesus invites the bride church, old testament saints, tribulation saints, and millennial saints to the marriage supper of the Lamb during the millennium. This invitation is described at Revelation 19:9 that says And He (Jesus) saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called (defined as invited) unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And He saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Note that the marriage supper of the Lamb will not occur in heaven. The marriage supper will occur after the tribulation during the millennium when Jesus is king of the earth for 1000 years. The marriage supper has to be delayed until the millennium to include the friends of the bridegroom (tribulation saints that endured to the end of the tribulation along with old testament and millennial saints). The tribulation saints, old testament saints, and millennial saints are guests that must be included with the bride church before the marriage supper of the Lamb can occur on earth during the millennium.

Luke 12:36 gives instructions to the tribulation saints about enduring to be able to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb on earth during the millennium: And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord (Jesus) when He will return from the wedding (note that the wedding has already occurred in heaven between the bride church and Jesus) (Jesus is returning from the wedding in heaven to the earth; not coming to the earth for a wedding) that when He cometh and knocketh, they may open unto Him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the Lord when He cometh shall find watching: Verily I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:40 goes on to say Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of Man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

John the Baptist who was considered an old testament saint before the bride church described the friends of the bridegroom invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb proclaiming that he is a friend of the bridegroom: John 3:29 says He that hath the bride (church) is the bridegroom (Jesus): but the friend of the bridegroom (John the Baptist, old testament saints, tribulation saints, and millennial saints), which standeth and heareth Him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. Therefore bridegroom Jesus sends out the invitations for the marriage supper of the Lamb from heaven and celebrates the marriage supper of the Lamb on earth during the millennium with the bride church and the friends of the bridegroom who are the old testament saints, tribulation saints, and millennial saints.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
4) The Hope Of Being Presented Faultless To Jesus In Heaven

The fourth hope with Jesus is the hope of being presented faultless to Jesus in heaven. After a person gets saved with Jesus, the blood of Jesus removes away all sin to be remembered no more. Isaiah 1:18 says Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

When saints appear before Jesus, they will be faultless where all their sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Jude 24 says Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. The Lord Jesus said at Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Even if the devil shows Jesus all the sins we did during our lives, Jesus will tell the devil that all His saved saints are faultless. Now that's a hope to rejoice about. We've all done some sins that deserve punishment in hell. But the blood of Jesus cleanseth us from all sin and Jesus proclaims that all His saints are faultless.

Think about the blessed exchange that we received from our Lord Jesus. Jesus took our sin and gave the saints His perfect faultless righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says For He (the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
5) The Hope Of Eternal Life

The fifth hope with Jesus is the hope of eternal life. Titus 1:2 promises In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. And Titus 3:7 says That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Say this quote and rejoice. When the mountains are gone; When the seas stop their waves; When the rivers stop running; and when the stars fall, I'll be alive forever praising Jesus in the new heaven because I have the hope of eternal life.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
6) The Hope Of An Inheritance Reserved In Heaven

The final hope with Jesus is the hope of an inheritance reserved in heaven. 1 Peter 1:3 says Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Saints have the hope of an inheritance in heaven because they are joint heirs with Jesus. In other words everything Jesus owns belongs to His joint heir saints. Romans 8:16 says The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Saved saints have a lively hope to receive an inheritance in heaven that fadeth not away. Each saint will inherit property in heaven with their names on mansion doors that they will own forever without a mortgage or rent payment. Every mansion will exist forever on a street of pure gold transparent glass in a city of pure gold clear glass where there will never be night. It will always be day with Jesus.

There will never be any more pain, sickness, bad thoughts, funerals, and best of all no devil in the new heaven. Revelation 21:4 says And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
