Today we will learn that the Lord will command a blessing for any saint who worships by faith at the feet of our high priest Jesus Christ. Pictured above the Lord describes this blessing as precious ointment poured upon the head of the priest Aaron that ran down upon his beard and went down to the skirts of his garments. Now Hebrews 7:17 says the Lord Jesus is our high priest forever after the order of Melchisedec commanding a blessing to anyone who will worship Him as God at His feet by the skirts or (hem) of His garment.
This is stated at Psalm 133 Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard; that went down to the skirts of his garments. As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing (at the skirts and feet of our Lord Jesus), even life for evermore.
Right now, I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will receive God's commanded blessing at Jesus' feet by confessing and worshipping by faith Jesus as God, believing that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Friend get saved today and repent by turning away from your sins to live each day with our Lord Jesus. Picture yourself worshipping at the feet of our Lord Jesus by faith and receive the commanded blessing of salvation today.
Alright, let's look at a woman named Ruth pictured above who received the commanded blessing at the feet of her kinsman redeemer Boaz. Now the Lord Jesus is our kinsman redeemer who has bought His saints with His precious blood that removed our sins forevermore. 1 Peter 1:18 says Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed (bought) with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was made manifest in these last times for you.
Like Ruth pictured above at the feet of her redeemer Boaz, let's worship at the feet of our Redeemer the Lord Jesus to receive the commanded blessing. Because Ruth humbled herself at the skirt and feet of Boaz, Boaz redeemed and bought her field, as Ruth became the bride of Boaz. Right now friend anywhere humble yourself and worship at the skirt and feet of our Redeemer Jesus and become the bride of Christ. Boaz bought Ruth as the bride connected to the field, and now Jesus will buy His bride saints that are connected to this field world with his own blood that removes our sins forevermore.
The story about Ruth receiving the commanded blessing at Boaz's feet is at Ruth 3:7 and says And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn; and she (Ruth) came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself; and behold, a woman lay at his feet. And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid; spread therefore thy skirt (note that Ruth is receiving the commanded blessing at the skirt and feet of her redeemer Boaz) over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter; for thou has shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
OK, another woman named Mary Magdalene pictured above received the commanded blessing as she worshipped the Lord Jesus at His feet. Luke 7:37 says And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment. And stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
Wow, what an honor it was for Mary Magdalene to wash Jesus' feet with tears, wipe them with her hair, as she kissed and anointed Jesus' feet with ointment. As a result, Jesus said to Mary Magdalene at Luke 7:50 Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. Friends everywhere, if Jesus has been good to you and blessed you in this life, be like Mary Magdalene, and right now worship the Lord Jesus at His feet as you receive the commanded blessing of salvation and peace.
Wow, pictured above we see yet another woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years that knew that the commanded blessing of healing stated at Psalm 133 was received by touching the skirt or hem of Jesus' garment as she worshipped Him as Lord at His feet. Her story is recorded at Matthew 9:20 saying And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him (Jesus), and touched the hem (skirt) of His garment; For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:22 goes on to say But Jesus turned Him about, and when He saw her, He said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Right now let's also worship the Lord Jesus at His feet like this woman as we by faith touch the skirt hems of His priestly garment to receive the commanded blessing of healing in our bodies.
Pictured above we see some more women who received the commanded blessing by worshipping the Lord Jesus at His feet. Mary Magdalene, the other Mary, and Salome listed at Mark 16:1 were told by an angel at Matthew 28:7 Go quickly, and tell His disciples that He (Jesus) is risen from the dead; and behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him; lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28:8 goes on to say And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold Jesus met them saying, All hail. And they came and held Him by the feet and worshipped Him.
These women bowed at the feet of our Lord Jesus on this earth holding His feet, and as a result Jesus blessed them greatly. I must say that saved women are a blessing because in the bible we usually see women worshipping Jesus at his feet receiving blessings. But Brother Bob says to all the brothers that read this, right now be like the apostle John and receive the commanded blessing by worshipping our Lord Jesus at the foot of the cross.
Also note that pictured above innumerable angels in heaven receive the commanded blessing by falling on their faces and worshipping at the feet of our Lord Jesus. Truly the commanded blessing is received as we humbly worship at the feet of our Lord Jesus. Revelation 7:11 says And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces (at the feet of Jesus), and worshipped God.
Note also that when the apostle John saw Jesus glorified at Patmos in a vision, John said at Revelation 1:17 I fell at his feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last; I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. As John worshipped at the feet of Jesus, John received the commanded blessing to write about the blessed visions he saw in the book of Revelation. Like John, let's worship at the feet of Jesus and see blessed visions that will soon occur as we receive peace, strength, and healing
Remember, only worship Jesus as Lord at the feet of Jesus. Do not worship any person or angel at their feet. The apostle John learned this lesson at Revelation 22:8 that says And I John saw these things, and heard them, And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me; See thou do it not; for I am thy fellowservant and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book; worship God.
Notice that a true angel will always tell you to worship the Lord Jesus as God and not any angel or man. Angels are sent to saints by Jesus for blessings but only Jesus should be worshipped. Psalm 34:7 promises The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. Psalm 91:11 also promises For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Finally, note that our Lord Jesus said at John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. Jesus promised happiness at John 13:17 if we wash each others feet. Truly peace and happiness will be ours if we worship Jesus as Lord at His skirts and feet and become humble servants to each other willing to wash the saints feet.
Oh, I must also mention the Caananite woman who also worshipped at the feet of our Lord Jesus, as she confessed that she was a sinful dog, willing to eat of the crumbs which fell by the feet of Jesus from the Master's table. When this woman asked Jesus to heal her daughter, Jesus said at Matthew 15:26 It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said Truth Lord; yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table. Because this woman worshipped at the feet of our Lord Jesus, Jesus commanded the blessing upon her by saying at Matthew 15:28 O woman, great is thy faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
After reading this bible study today, let's all receive the commanded blessing daily by worshipping Jesus as Lord at His feet.
