Three Siblings And The Saviour Have Supper With Satan Part Two

Earlier we learned that when Jesus visited Martha's home, Martha served, Mary sacrificed, Lazarus sat, Judas stole, and Jesus saved. Today we will see how Mary sacrificed when she gave her life's savings in one lifetime by anointing the Lord Jesus with costly spikenard worth 300 pence. Notice that the above two pictures show two different Marys (the first picture is Mary the sister of Lazarus and the second picture is Mary Magdalene) who both got blessed forevermore when they anointed Jesus with spikenard for His burial.

First, John 12:3 speaks about Mary (the sister of Lazarus) and says Then took Mary (the sister of Lazarus) a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. After Judas said Why was not this ointment sold for 300 pence, and given to the poor, Jesus replied at John 12:7 Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

Second, Mark 14:3 speaks about Mary Magdalene anointing Jesus with spikenard at Simon's house and says And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head. Jesus said at Mark 14:8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Jesus also said at Matthew 26:12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. At the cross of Calvary, the sweet smelling spikenard's odour remained and was greater than the foul odour of vinegar mingled with the poisonous gall (hemlock plant) drink that Jesus tasted but did not drink, preserving Jesus' body from decay for burial and is a witness about Jesus' resurrection from the dead with eternal life.

Spikenard was used to anoint the body of the deceased to delay decomposition and mask the odour of decay during the period between death and burial. The spikenard was a witness that Jesus' body would not decay. Instead Jesus' body would become glorified, resurrected, and be preserved forever with eternal life. Like Jesus, saved saints bodies won't ever decay, will become glorified, and will be preserved with eternal life. Romans 8:11 says But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. 2 Corinthians 4:14 says Knowing that He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. Jesus said at John 6:40 And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

As a side note, it's remarkable that Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Psalm 69:21 that says They gave me also gall (a poisonous hemlock plant) for my meat; and in my thirst they gave vinegar to drink. Matthew 27:34 says They gave Him (Jesus) vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, He would not drink. In other words no man could kill Jesus. Jesus said at John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

People have said Brother Bob how do you know that the unnamed woman at Simon's house that anointed Jesus with spikenard was Mary Magdalene? In response I tell people to read Luke's account of this story at Luke 7:36 to the end of the chapter. Then notice at Luke 8:2 we see that after Mary Magdalene anointed Jesus with spikenard at Simon's house, Mary Magdalene was healed of evil spirits and infirmities and followed Jesus. Luke 8:1 says And it came to pass afterward, that He (Jesus) went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him. And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils (the bible tells us that Mary Magdalene was the woman healed at Simon's house that followed Jesus). And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto Him of their substance.

Next notice in the picture above that we see Mary Magdalene's alabaster box of costly spikenard worth 300 pence along with the 30 pieces of silver Judas Iscariot received to betray our Lord Jesus. Note that the spikenard worth 300 pennyworth was very costly and was twice the value of the 30 pieces of silver. Biblical scholars have stated that 300 pennyworth of spikenard is worth 40 dollars today and Judas' 30 pieces of silver is only worth 20 dollars today. History records that when Jesus walked the earth, people saved spikenard for their own burial. Mary and Mary Magdalene were both blessed to use their own costly spikenard burial savings to anoint Jesus. Both Mary and Mary Magdalene truly sacrificed because the spikenard they used to anoint Jesus was twice the value of what the thief Judas received for betraying Jesus.

Get Saved, Repent, Decide To Stop Sinning,
Confess That Jesus Is God, And Believe The Gospel,
That Jesus Died On The Cross For You, Was Buried, And Rose Again
Like Mary And Mary Magdalene Value Jesus More Than Anything On This Earth

For my final thought today, notice in the above picture that Jacob is wrestling with the Lord Jesus or a Theophany visible manifestation of God. The bible says that Jacob had power over the angel. But if we look at the Hebrew translation of Hosea 12:3-4 we will see that where it says Jacob had power over the angel, the correct Hebrew translation is that Jacob had power over a Theophany or visible manifestation of God who is the Lord Jesus. Also at Genesis 32:30 Jacob called the place where he wrestled the God man Jesus Peniel because he saw God (Jesus) face to face.

Hosea 12:3 says He (Jacob) took his brother (Esau) by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: Yea, he had power over the angel (called a Theophany or visible manifestation of the Lord Jesus), and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto Him: he found Him in Bethel, and there He spake with us; Even the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is His memorial.

Genesis 32:24 says And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man (the Lord Jesus) with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against Him, He touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with Him. And He said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And He said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And He said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked Him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And He blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel (the Hebrew definition of Peniel is facing God who is Jesus): for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Another place that we see a Theophany angel appearing is at Exodus 23:20 that says Behold, I send an Angel (defined again in Hebrew to be a Theophany Angel or visible manifestation of God who is Jesus) before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. The Lord Jesus was the Theophany visible manifestation of God that went before Moses and the children of Israel to defeat the enemy Amorities, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, Jebusites and all the mosquito bites. Exodus 23:23 says For mine Angel (The Theophany Lord Jesus) shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

A third place that we see a Theophany angel appearing is when the Lord Jesus appeared to Paul on the Alexandrian ship. Acts 27:22 says And now I (Paul) exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God (who was a Theophany angel or visible manifestation of God who was Jesus), whose I am, and whom I serve (note that Paul said I serve the Lord Jesus), Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

Three Siblings And The Saviour Have Supper With Satan Part One

Today lets learn about three siblings named Martha, Mary, and Lazarus who had supper with Jesus the Saviour and Judas who is a devil or Satan. Martha served, Mary sacrificed, Lazarus sat, Judas stole, and Jesus saved. Jesus had supper with Martha, Mary, and Lazarus at Bethany six days before He was crucified. After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after four days, a week later Jesus raised His own self from the dead. Jesus said at John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

The bible speaks about the above picture at John 12:1 and says Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom He raised from the dead. There they made Him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with Him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Then saith one His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray Him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

John 12:6 goes on to say This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. Much people of the Jews therefore knew that He was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom He had raised from the dead. But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death. Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

First, notice Martha in the above picture standing in the background who was troubled that Mary was not helping her cook, clean, wash, and make the house hospitable for the Lord Jesus. Martha, who was cumbered about with much serving asked Jesus, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. Jesus replied at Luke 10:41 Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

What was Mary doing? Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet listening to Jesus' words. Mary, instead of being busy about cooking and cleaning, was so interested in what Jesus had to say, that she neglected the housework to listen to what Jesus had to say. On the other hand, Martha was so interested in the housework that she missed what Jesus had to say.

Now look at the above picture of the bucket and mop that Mary put down so she could hear Jesus' words and remember that there's a time to serve and clean, but there's also a time to put down the mop while we pray and worship our Lord Jesus. Serving, cleaning, and cooking are good, but also listening to Jesus and meditating daily on the Word of God is important. There's got to be a balance between service and worshipping the Lord Jesus. Don't spend all your time cleaning house without reading the bible every day. Also don't spend all your time cooking all day without taking time to pray. There's nothing wrong with serving, cooking, mowing the grass, good housekeeping, and gardening. Just don't miss taking quality time to mediate on the Word of God while you put the mop down.

To my sisters reading this anywhere, take time to read Titus 2:4 that says that it is blessed for a godly woman and wife to be a keeper at home while she feeds, cooks, cleans, washes, scrubs, and makes the home hospitable for visitors. I pray in Jesus name that the sisters everywhere who read this will be the wife that Titus 2:4 wants them to be and take care of their husband, children, and be keepers at home, instead of running in the streets gossiping all night while the home is a sloppy mess. Titus 2:4 says That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet (sober), chaste (pure), keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God be not blasphemed.

Martha was a good example of a saintly blessed woman that opened her clean house to Jesus. Every time Jesus came through Bethany, He was glad to stop and visit Martha's clean blessed home. Martha's service was necessary to prepare a blessed supper for our Lord Jesus. If Martha didn't serve no one would have ate supper, the dishes would not have been clean, and the table would not have been set.

Next look above at the little girl mopping and the little boy mowing the lawn and remember that it's good to clean the house and mow the grass. If the members of a church fail to keep the church clean by mopping and mowing the lawn, visitors will see a sloppy run down mess. But also remember that it's important to put down the mop and say let's all pray, meditate on God's Word, and worship our Lord Jesus. There's a time to serve, but there's also a time to worship our Lord Jesus. If I had to choose between cleaning the house or listening to Jesus, I'd have to be like Mary and listen to Jesus because Brother Bob loves listening to Jesus and the Word of God.

When Jesus visited Martha's house, after Jesus told Martha, you are too busy and cumbered with serving, Martha probably immediately stopped washing dishes and like Mary sat down to listen to what Jesus had to say. It's good for saints to mop, clean the dishes, and mow the lawn, but we all must not neglect the Lord Jesus who should be placed first in all our lives. I pray in Jesus name we can all be like Mary and know when to stop serving and set aside time to worship our Lord Jesus. Our next bible study will talk about Mary's sacrifice of neglecting chores to worship the Lord Jesus by anointing His feet with valuable spikenard.

Brother Bob encourages all my friends that when you are busy with the cares of life such as laundry, going to shop at Walmart or Kroger, and taking the bus to work, remember to set aside time early each morning to pray, study the Word of God, and worship the Lord Jesus. For twenty years Brother Bob has gotten up at 4:30AM to take two hours every morning to pray, study the Word of God, and worship Jesus. The bible promises that you will find the Lord Jesus when you seek Him early in the morning before you are faced with the cares of the day. Proverbs 8:17 says I love them that love me; and those that seek me (Jesus) early shall find me.

To close out this bible study, Brother Bob gives my friends everywhere an effective way to witness and win souls to our Lord Jesus. After you become friends with anyone, ask that person "How do you get saved?" Most people don't know how to be saved and say by going to church, getting baptized, being good, repenting, praying, joining a church, or shaking a preacher's hand. Walking down a church aisle, shaking a six foot spiritual icicle's hand, doing some good works, answering some questions, getting dunked in the pool, and blending in with the crowd won't save anyone. Only trusting in the Lord Jesus can save a person.

Tell people everywhere to get saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. The devil who was Judas repented and the devils believe that Jesus is God. But the devil does not believe the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ) that is required for salvation. The blood of Jesus that Jesus shed at the cross of Calvary defeated the devil forever. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Take time to read the following three bible scriptures that prove that Jesus is God. You must believe that Jesus is God to be saved. What a blessing to know that the angel of the Lord proclaimed that Jesus is God when Jesus was a little baby. Luke 2:10 says And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. The jailor was told that to be saved he must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ at Acts 16:30.

Finally Jesus was proclaimed to be God at Philippians 2:8 that says And being found in fashion as a man, He (Jesus) humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (notice that every tongue will say Jesus is God), to the glory of God the Father.

Revealed Mysteries From Jesus

If the cost of bills are rising around you remember that the Lord Jesus can provide ways to create money to pay these bills and give us extra money to bless the poor. The other day Brother Bob's rent, electric bill, and grocery bill all rose while his unsaved parents had nothing to do with Brother Bob. When I studied the picture above of the widow who was able to pay her bills and keep blessing the poor by selling oil that God miraculously created, I was encouraged that Jesus can create blessings, provide money to pay all our bills, and fix everything in our lives. Jesus said at John 16:33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Pictured above at 2 Kings 4 a widow had no money to pay bills to a creditor and sought advice from the prophet Elisha. She told Elisha that the creditor would take her two sons as bondmen or slaves if the debt was not fully paid. Elisha told the widow What hast thou in thy house? The widow replied Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

Elisha's advice to the widow can be found at 2 KIngs 4:3 and says Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

2 Kings 4:5 goes on to say So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. God made oil appear out of nowhere to fill all the vessels and kept the oil from spoiling to be used for sale to pay off all the widow's debt.

After the widow filled all the vessels with oil, she again sought Elisha's advice about how to pay her bills from the creditor. Elisha told the widow at 2 Kings 4:7 Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest. In Jesus name, I pray for anyone reading this, like the widow, Jesus will provide ways to pay all our bills with extra money to bless the poor. Remember the widow not only was able to pay off her debt from her sold oil, but also had extra money called the rest for her and her children to live off of.

Notice that when the widow pictured above blessed Elijah with her last bread and water, God made food appear out of nowhere to feed the widow and her son. Let's all be like the widow of Zarephath and keep blessing the poor even though bills rise around you. Jesus will provide for all your needs and continue to bless you greatly to assist the poor.  Most people stop blessing the poor when rent, electric bills, and grocery prices rise up. But, Galatians 6:9 says And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

1 Kings 17:10 describes the picture above and says So he (Elijah) arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

The widow replied to Elijah at 1 Kings 17:12 As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.

Friends, see how God made food appear out of nowhere to bless the widow when she obeyed Elijah's request. 1 Kings 17:15 says And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah. I pray in Jesus name, that anyone reading this will be like this widow and continue to bless the poor while Jesus provides all our needs making food and money appear out of nowhere. Matthew 6:33 promises But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Let's all do the advice of the prophet Habakkuk and continue to rejoice, bless the poor, and serve Jesus with strength when we are surrounded by higher rental payments, higher grocery prices, and an ungodly world. Habakkuk 3:17 says Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.

When Jesus and Peter had to pay taxes, Jesus made money appear out of nowhere in a fish's mouth to pay taxes.  Jesus said at Matthew 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee. And an angel created out of nowhere a cake and water for Elijah under the juniper tree that strengthened Elijah for forty days and nights. 1 Kings 19:5 says And as he (Elijah) lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

And when Hagar and Ishmael had no water to drink in the desert, God provided water out of nowhere from a well to keep them alive. Genesis 21:19 says And God opened her (Hagar's) eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad (Ishamael) drink. Finally, remember how God provided manna falling from heaven for food to the children of Israel in the wilderness. Today Jesus is our manna and bread that will always feed us and provide all our needs forevermore. Jesus said at John 6:35 I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Take a look at the two pictures above and remember that when we get saved with Jesus, angels will protect us, make us invisible to any enemy, causing our enemies to bless us. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. In the first picture an angel with a sword protected the children of Israel and stopped Balaam from cursing God's people. Angels will also protect you if you get saved with the Lord Jesus. Psalm 34:7 says The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. Psalm 91:11 says For He (Jesus) shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Balaam's ass first saw the angel and Balaam kept trying to curse God's people even after his ass spoke. But when Balaam saw the angel, he decided to bless and not curse God's people. The scripture that shows how an angel with a sword withstood Balaam and protected the children of Israel can be found at Numbers 22:31 and says Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. Rejoice friends everywhere, Jesus said at Luke 20:43 that He would make our enemies our footstool.

In the second picture we see that two angels protected Lot and his family from men that wanted to have sex with the men angels. Lot tried to reason with the men of Sodom and offered his daughters to the men. Remember that you can't reason with the devil. Jesus said when you go to a house, if the people of the house reject you, shake the dust off your feet and move to the next house where someone will receive Jesus and bless you. Jesus said that we should let peace rest upon any house where people receive us and the Lord Jesus.

The men of Sodom rejected Lot's daughters and wanted to have sex with the men angels. These angels protected Lot and his family by blinding the people of Sodom while Lot and his family escaped to Zoar for safety. Genesis 19:10 says But the men (angels) put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door. I pray in Jesus name that all my friends everywhere who read this will also be protected by angels who make the saints invisible to any enemy in this troubled world.

Here's Some Humor To Make You Smile And Rejoice

A farmer said he would give a rooster to the first husband who admitted he was the head of his house. The farmer came to the first house and asked the husband, Are you the head of the house? The man said nope, the wife makes the decisions here. The farmer came to the second house and asked the husband, Are you the head of the house? The man said nope it's 50/50 here. Finally, the farmer came to the last house and asked the husband, Are you the head of the house? The man said yep but wait a minute; Honey can we take a rooster into our house?

There were two lines in heaven for the macho men and the wimpy men. All the macho men were in the wimpy man line and one little scrawny man was in the macho man line. All the macho men asked the little scrawny man, How did you get into the macho man line? The little scrawny man said My wife told me to get into this line.

And finally, one more story to think about. A country preacher sent his kid to college hoping he would become smart. One night when they were all eating dinner, the country preacher asked his kid, What have you learned? The kid said pi r squared. The country preacher said you haven't learned a thing. Pie are round, cornbread is squared. Friends remember that the only way to become smart and have wisdom is to know our Lord Jesus. 1 Corinthians 1:30 says that Jesus is wisdom who is the Word of God. Memorize the  bible and become wise. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

It's Revelation Time

Brother Bob wants all my friends everywhere to sing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus. God's Word promises that if anyone sings this song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus, they will receive victory over the devil, beast, his image, mark, and the number of his name. This might not make any sense to our natural minds, but just do what the Word of God says and get victory over the devil while you sing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the devil hates the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus because this special song will give any saint total victory over the devil.

Look above and see a blessed picture of the saints in heaven with harps singing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus on a sea of glass mingled with fire. Revelation 15:2 says that when these saints sing the song of Moses and the Lamb they receive victory over the devil. Revelation 15:2 says And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.

I pray in Jesus name that all my friends memorize the words of the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus and I claim that when they sing this song they also will receive victory over the devil like the tribulation saints. Right now sing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus listed at Revelation 15:3 and receive total victory in your lives making the devil flee from you. Say Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Pictured above David is playing a harp like the tribulation saints on the sea of glass. When David played the harp for King Saul, evil spirits departed from Saul. Also when the saints on the sea of glass mingled with fire play harps, evil spirits and the devil flees. One day soon all God's saints will play harps and sing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus, causing evil spirits and the devil to flee forevermore.

The picture above is found in the bible at 1 Samuel 16:23 and says And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. Notice also that when David sang and played the harp, Saul was well and healed. In Jesus name, Lord Jesus heal my friends everywhere that sing the song of Moses and the Lamb Jesus. Ephesians 5:19 says Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Pictured above we see that after Jesus was resurrected, Jesus appeared to his disciples and was flesh and bones; not flesh and blood. This is because 1 Corinthians 15:50 says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The picture above is discussed at Luke 24:36: And as they spake, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

You might say Brother Bob why can't flesh and blood inherit the kingdom of God? Jesus showed Brother Bob the reason that the blood of Jesus is on the earth and not in the kingdom of God is because the blood of Jesus defeats the devil who is on the earth and can not enter the kingdom of God. Revelation 12:11 promises that saints overcome the devil on this earth by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus), and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Also the blood of Jesus is not in the kingdom of God because Jesus only had to shed His blood once at the cross of Calvary on this earth to remove the saints' sins forevermore. Unlike continual animal sacrifices offered by priests to remove sins, Jesus was sacrificed and shed his blood at the cross once on this earth to remove sins. The old testament priests daily stood offering sacrifices that could not remove sin. But Jesus proved that His one sacrifice at the cross removed sins forevermore when Jesus sat down (no longer standing daily) by the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:11 says And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; But this man (Jesus), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.

Pictured above we see 2 Corinthians 5:8 that says We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. What a blessing to know that when any saint leaves their earthly body, they immediately are present with the Lord Jesus in the kingdom of God.

Since Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever, when any saint leaves his earthly body, that saint will be with Jesus even if it requires the saint to go forward in time one billion years to the kingdom of God. No saint will be floating in purgatory separated from Jesus for a time period. Rejoice and sing when we've been there 10000 years bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun.

When any saint arrives at the kingdom of God they will know their friends and family who got saved with the Lord Jesus on this earth. Rejoice and say 1 Corinthians 13:12 that proves that saints will know one another in the kingdom of God. Say For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part;  but then shall I know even as also I am known. What a blessed homecoming in the kingdom of God when we shall see and know all our loved friends rejoicing forever at the heavenly reunion. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Don't miss the soon open air campmeeting with our Lord Jesus during the rapture.

Remember it's important to tell people everywhere to get saved. First, one must repent and decide to stop sinning to be saved. 2 Corinthians 7:10 says For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh. Second, one must confess that Jesus is God to be saved. Romans 10:9 says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Third, one must believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for them, was buried, and rose again to be saved. Romans 1:16 says For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The gospel is defined at 1 Corinthians 15:1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand: By which also ye are saved (note the gospel will save a person), if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

I pray in Jesus name everyone who reads this will now go out and witness and win souls to our Lord Jesus Christ. An effective way to witness is to ask people How do you get saved? You would be amazed at how many people will say if I go to church, get baptized, pray, or be a good person, I'll be saved. Going to church, praying, getting baptized, and doing a million good deeds will not save a person. Good people without Jesus go to hell and only saved sinners with Jesus go to the kingdom of God.

The other day Jesus used Brother Bob to save the cashier at the Boston Market restaurant. The cashier thought she would be saved by praying, going to church, being good, and getting baptized. Brother Bob and the cashier rejoiced when the cashier got saved, repented, confessed that Jesus is God, and believed that Jesus died on the cross for her sins, was buried, and rose again. It amazed Brother Bob to see a Jehovah Witness upset that the cashier confessed that Jesus is God, but Brother Bob said to himself, too late Jehovah Witness, this cashier is saved forevermore with Jesus. Jehovah Witnesses are not saved and don't believe that Jesus is God. Jesus said at Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. In other words, innumerable angels, saints, and the Lord Jesus Himself rejoiced when this one cashier sinner got saved.

To close out today's bible study, Brother Bob wants to show his friends everywhere how blessed marriage is between a man and a woman. Hebrews 13:4 says Marriage (between a man and woman) is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Pictured above we see that Paul was comfortable to live in the same house with a husband and wife named Aquila and Priscilla. Acts 18:1 says After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome: and came unto them. And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

Twenty years ago Brother Bob was preaching at the home of his good friends who were husband and wife. After I preached until 1 AM that night, the husband and wife asked Brother Bob to sleep on the couch while they slept upstairs. I must say it was a blessing to sleep on that couch for the night in that married couple's home. The husband came down at 4 AM in his robe to bless me with food and we rejoiced in the Lord Jesus.

Now notice how different it would be if Brother Bob was asked to sleep overnight with two unmarried people or a single man or woman. Brother Bob would not be comfortable sleeping overnight at the home of two unmarried people or a single man or woman. People would accuse Brother Bob of committing adultery, being a homosexual, or being a fornicator, ruining his witness for Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 says Abstain from all appearance of evil. Therefore notice how blessed marriage is between a man and a woman. This is why the devil is trying to promote everything but the blessed marriage between a man and a woman.

For my final thought today, notice how today's world is calling good evil and evil good. Gambling is called social fun. A bar is called a lounge. A thief is called a shrewd financier. And a dirty show is called pleasing entertainment.

I saw a guy the other day with a shirt that said drink, party, sex, repeat. This man left out one word death that should have been at the bottom of his list. After seeing this shirt, Brother Bob has decided one day soon to get a shirt that says Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Life. Romans 8:13 says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will choose Jesus and eternal life today. The pleasures of sin are only for a season according to Hebrews 11:25. But according to Psalm 16:11 there are pleasures forevermore with Jesus. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence (Jesus) is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

I pray in Jesus name that the bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength. Respect The Blood Of Jesus And Receive Life Part Two

Respect the blood of Jesus and receive life. God always removes sin when He is presented with a sacrifice of the blood of an innocent animal. The Lord Jesus is called the innocent Lamb of God whose blood shed at the cross of Calvary can save anyone and remove their sins forever. John 1:29 says The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God (Jesus), which taketh away the sin of the world. 1 John 1:7 says  But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and that the blood of Jesus has overcome you devil, cleansed me from all my sins, and evil must pass over me.

Pictured above we see that after Adam and Eve sinned, God had to cover and remove their sin and shame of nakedness with coats of skins from the blood of innocent animals. At first, Adam and Eve sewed themselves fig leave aprons to cover their sin and shame of nakedness. Genesis 3:7 says And the eyes of them both (Adam and Eve) were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. But the fig leaves were not good enough to cover Adam and Eve's sin and shame of nakedness.

When God saw Adam and Eve covered by fig leaves, Genesis 3:9 says And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he (Adam) said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. Adam and Eve's fig leaves could not remove their sin and cover the shame of their nakedness. There's no blood in a fig leaf to remove sin. The only way God could cover and remove Adam and Eve's sin and shame of nakedness was with coats of skins from the blood of innocent animals. Genesis 3:21 says Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins (the hide skins of animals), and clothed them.

When God clothed Adam and Eve with innocent animal skins, did that make Adam and Eve a cave man and a cave woman? No, it made Adam and Eve a covered man and a covered woman. Covered by the blood of innocent animals. There's no blood in a fig leaf. It took coats of  animal skins and the blood shed from innocent animals to cover sin and remove Adam and Eve's sin and shame of being naked.

The following scriptures prove that only the blood of the innocent Lamb of God Jesus can remove sin and daily give us victory over the devil. Hebrews 9:22 says And almost all things are by the law purged (cleansed) with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Remission refers to the complete cancellation, dismissal, or sending away of sin and its legal debt. Remission implies a release from bondage, like a prisoner being set free or a financial obligation being cancelled.

Leviticus 17:11 says For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Jesus is the innocent Lamb of God who willingly shed His own precious blood at the cross of Calvary to cleanse christians from their sins.

The Difference Between Expiation, Atonement, And Propitiation

Expiation means cleaning up and removing the sins of mankind that occurred when Jesus took away our sins at the cross of Calvary. Expiation involves performing an action by offering a sacrifice to correct a past wrong that removes any guilt. The primary focus of expiation is taking away or nullifying the guilt incurred by a transgression. Jesus' death on the cross of Calvary is the ultimate, one time sacrifice that pays the penalty for sin and removes the guilt of believers, allowing for reconciliation with God. Hebrews 10:14 says For by one offering He (Jesus) hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified (free from the guilt of sin).

Atonement means fixing a relationship that occurred when Jesus made peace between God and men because Jesus died on the cross of Calvary. Expiation is the specific act of paying the penalty to cleanse sin and guilt. Atonement is the result, outcome, and state of being reconciled and at one with God because Jesus died for our sins at the cross of Calvary. Expiation is a means to achieve atonement.

Propitiation means satisfying and appeasing God's anger against sin that occurred when Jesus took sinners' punishment for sins at the cross of Calvary, thereby satisfying, appeasing, and removing God's anger against sin. Propitiation refers to the specific belief that Jesus Christ's death on the cross of Calvary was an atoning sacrifice that appeased God's righteous wrath against sin, thereby reconciling humanity to God. In this view, God Himself provided the means of propitiation, demonstrating both His justice (which demands sin to be punished) and His love (providing a way for sinners to be saved).

Now that you understand the meaning of propitiation rejoice while you study the three scriptures with the word propitiation. Romans 3:24 says Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. 1 John 2:2 says And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 4:10 says Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Remission means removal of guilt and a penalty where the offender is treated as though the offense had never been committed, freeing them from the divine punishment they would otherwise face.

The Difference Between Justification, Sanctification, And Glorification

Justification is a one time instantaneous legal act where God declares a sinner righteous when he gets saved, repents, decides to stop sinning, confesses that Jesus is God, and believes the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for him, was buried, and rose again. During justification God is the judge that declares the verdict of a christian to be not guilty. Justification is not earned by works, but is based solely on faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ's righteousness is imputed (credited) to the christian's account through faith. After justification, a christian receives Jesus Christ's perfect righteousness (Just As If The Christian Never Sinned). Justification delivers a christian from the penalty of sin called eternal condemnation.

Sanctification is the ongoing, progressive work of the Holy Spirit to make a christian more like Jesus Christ. Unlike the one time event of justification during salvation, sanctification is a lifelong journey of spiritual growth and maturity. Sanctification happens over a process of time while a christian walks by faith by means of the Holy Spirit. While justification is entirely God's work, sanctification involves the christian actively cooperating with God to fight sin and practice godliness. Sanctification delivers a christian from the power of sin and its daily control over his life.

Justification occurs prior to sanctification. Christians can only become sanctified after they have been justified (saved with Jesus and the Holy Spirit). A justified christian will always show evidence of salvation through the process of sanctification.

Glorification is the final stage of salvation and the ultimate fulfillment of the christian's journey. Glorification follows justification (being declared righteous by God) and sanctification (the lifelong process of becoming holy). Glorification is the complete and permanent removal of sin from a christian's nature, making them perfect in holiness. During glorification christians receive immortal, incorruptible bodies modeled after the glorified body of Jesus after His resurrection. Glorification marks the end of all pain, sickness, death, and the very presence of sin. Glorification enables christians to dwell forever in the direct presence of God, seeing Him face to face. Glorification is a future event that happens when a christian is raptured. Glorification delivers a christian from the presence of sin that never exists in the kingdom of God.

Justification was past tense where christians have been saved from the penalty of sin in hell and the lake of fire. Sanctification is present tense where christians are saved from the power of sin during their life in this world. Glorification will be future tense where christians will be saved from the presence of sin in the kingdom of God.

Christians Are Blessed By Expiation, Atonement, Propitiation
Justification, Sanctification, And Glorification
Because Of Grace; God's Redemption At Christ's Expense

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Pictured above we see another example where only Abel's offering of the blood of an innocent Lamb was acceptable to God to remove sin. Cain's offering of his fruits and vegetables from his garden by good works was rejected by God and did not remove sin. Genesis 4:3 says And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock (the blood of an innocent Lamb) and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

There's no blood in a turnip. There's no blood in a tater. It takes the blood of the innocent Lamb of God Jesus to cover and remove our sins forever. Pictured above Cain learned that his offering of the fruit of his ground to God by good works was rejected by God. Good works without faith in the Lord Jesus can't save people. Repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus saves people.

Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith (in Jesus alone); and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. You don't work to be saved. You work because you are saved. I would not work my soul to save for this my Lord has done but I would work like any slave for love of his dear Son. We do good works after salvation to let others see Jesus where later at the bema judgment seat after the rapture we will receive rewards for our good works. Ephesians 2:10 says For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

A Preacher Once Said That The Two Greatest Things In Life Are
1) Be saved and know it
2) Be in the perfect will of God and know it

The following scriptures prove that good works without faith in the Lord Jesus can not save anyone. These scriptures prove that only repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus can save anyone. Titus 3:5 says Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His (Jesus') mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Romans 4:5 says But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him (Jesus) that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 2 Timothy 1:9 says Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

A Final Revelation About Abel's Offering To God

Abel realized that God would only accept a sacrifice of an innocent Lamb for a blessed offering. His brother Cain offered the fruit of the ground that was not pleasing to God. Cain said All the labor of my hands can fulfill thy law's demands while Abel said Nothing in my hand I bring simply to the cross I cling.

But note that Abel brought more than one lamb hoping that Cain would get saved and offer a lamb instead of the fruit of the ground. Note that Genesis 4:4 says And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings (note that Abel brought many firstlings lambs so Cain could also please God with a blessed offering) of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. Unfortunately Cain rejected Abel's extra firstling lamb and went to hell trying to please God with works instead of faith in the crucified Lamb of God Jesus. Jude 11 places Cain in hell when it links Cain to Korah (Core) who went down alive into the pit (hell) after the earth opened up and swallowed Korah (Core) because of his rebellion against Moses. Woe unto them. for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Respect The Blood Of Jesus And Receive Life Part One; Forgiving 70x7

The blood of the Lamb Jesus is the most powerful weapon to overcome and defeat the devil. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus), and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Pictured above we see that the children of God in Egypt believed that the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their door would protect them from the angel of death and any plague. God blessed the children of God in Egypt and caused the angel of death to pass over their houses when that angel saw the blood of the Lamb Jesus.

But the angel of death killed the firstborn children of the Egyptians because the Egyptians did not have the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their doors. Exodus 12:13 says And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this bible study will tell the devils daily that I am crucified with Jesus Christ according to Galatians 2:20. While you look by faith with your heart at Jesus Christ crucified daily say with Jesus' stripes I am healed according to Isaiah 53:5. Then ask the angels of God to daily in Jesus name send the blood of Jesus over yourself, your home, car, and anywhere you travel. Finally tell the devils daily that the blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8 has overcome and defeated the devils.

The blood of Jesus will protect people from any plague. Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

The blood of Jesus is our greatest protection against the devils and this wicked world. Get saved with Jesus and overcome the devils and any trouble in this world. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. 1 John 5:11 promises that Jesus will give you eternal life. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Pictured above we see that when the angel of death in Egypt saw the blood of the Lamb Jesus on the Jews' houses, the angel of death had to pass over that house and the Jews lived. But the firstborn children in the Egyptians' houses were killed by the angel of death because there was no blood of the Lamb Jesus on the Egyptians' houses. The blood of Jesus is important to God and we must respect the blood of Jesus. God only looks to see if a person is covered by the blood of the Lamb Jesus when God's judgment comes to destroy sin.

The angel of death did not come by each house and say knock knock, Does Moses live here? Does Pharaoh live here? Does a Jew live here? Does an Egyptian live here? Are you black? Are you white? Are you Baptist, Methodist, or Catholic? What are you? Friends in any nation, it's not what you are. It's if the blood of the Lamb Jesus is on your door and body by faith that will save you from the devils, death, and any plague. God's Word says at Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token (sign) upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood (of the Lamb Jesus) (not a person's race, country, riches, or religious denomination), I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The bible tells us at Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Notice that the only Egyptians that went to heaven were the firstborn Egyptian babies and children. Jesus promised that little children before they can understand to choose Jesus and innocent babies will live peacefully in heaven forevermore. Matthew 19:14 says But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Tell that abortion crowd that they're just filling heaven with little roses that'll bloom for ever in the kingdom of God.

Pharaoh and the Egyptians told God, Why are you so cruel and mean, killing our firstborn sons? God told Pharaoh and the Egyptians, Don't blame God. Look at the blood of the Lamb Jesus on the Jews' houses. Pharaoh, Egyptians, all you had to do for your firstborn children to live was to put the blood of the Lamb Jesus on your doors. The angel of death would have passed over your houses if you put the blood of the Lamb Jesus on your doors.

Notice that it was the blood of the Lamb Jesus that was the difference between the Jews and the Egyptians. The blood of the Lamb Jesus on the Jews' doors gave them life. No blood of the Lamb Jesus on the Egyptians' doors gave them death. Exodus 11:7 tells us But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference (this difference was the blood of the Lamb Jesus) between the Egyptians and Israel.

Notice how important it is to respect the blood of the Lamb Jesus to receive life and escape the troubles of this wicked world. This is why Psalm 2:12 says Kiss the Son (Jesus), lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him. Because God respects the blood of Jesus highly that removes sin, we must also respect the blood of Jesus to avoid God's wrath and judgment when sin is destroyed.

The bible tells us that great punishment is given to people who count the blood of the Lamb Jesus as an unholy thing. Hebrews 10:29 says Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the spirit of grace? For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Remember friends everywhere, Jesus is no respecter of persons. The Egyptians like the Jews could have placed the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their doors by faith and lived. Today any person in any nation can come to Jesus and live after salvation. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

One day God's going to tell sinners in hell who rejected Jesus, don't complain to me and say my punishment is greater than I can bear. Don't holler to me about how unfair I am. Just look at my Son Jesus hanging out yonder on the cross of Calvary shedding his blood for sinners. You could have accepted the Lord Jesus and let the blood of the Lamb Jesus cover and remove all your sins.

Why Did Jesus Say To Forgive 70x7?

To close out today's bible study, let's see how valuable the blood of the Lamb Jesus is to God. You might say what does the picture above saying 70x7 tell us. To understand the meaning of 70x7, let's look at some bible scriptures that use the numbers 70 and 7.

First, let's look at what happened to Cain after he slew Abel. Genesis 4:15 says And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. God said 7 fold vengeance would be taken against anyone who slayed and shed Cain's blood.

And five generations later, another man named Lamech slew a man to his wounding, and another young man to his hurt. After Lamech killed these two men, Lamech told his two wives, if Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. Genesis 4:23 says And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. God said 77 fold vengeance would be taken against anyone who slayed and shed Lamech's blood.

Peter asked Jesus at Matthew 18:21, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Notice how valuable the shed blood of Cain, Lamech, and especially the Lord Jesus is to God. But God values and respects the blood of the Lamb Jesus 7 times more than Lamech's blood and 70 times more than Cain's blood. Friends, like God, we also need to respect the blood of Jesus that has cleansed us from all our sins.

Notice that Jesus said to forgive 70x7 instead having 70+7 vengeance against your enemies. The multiplied forgiveness of 70x7=490 blessings to our enemies with Jesus is greater than the 70+7=77 vengeance under the law. Romans 10:4 says For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. The vengeance under the law was only a schoolmaster to reveal sin and bring sinners to Jesus by faith. Galatians 3:24 says Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. After salvation with Jesus we forgive our enemies 70x7 (seventy times seven) instead of returning 70+7 (seventy and sevenfold) vengeance.

Jesus said at Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Respect the blood of Jesus and receive life because Hebrews 2:3 says How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him.

Why Does The Blood Of Jesus Speak Better Things Than The Blood Of Abel?

The blood of Jesus that speaks about forgiveness of sin and love to our enemies is greater than the blood of Abel, Cain, and Lamech that speak about vengeance to our enemies under the law. 1 John 1:7 tells us how the blood of Jesus cleanses, forgives, and removes sin. But if we walk in the light, as He (Jesus) is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Therefore we can rejoice and say Hebrews 12:24. And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling (Jesus' precious blood shed at the cross of Calvary), that speaketh better things than that of Abel. After Cain killed his brother Abel, Abel's blood cried out for vengeance (Genesis 4:10). But Jesus' blood speaks better things than Abel's blood and tells us to have mercy and forgiveness to everyone (even our worst enemies) forgiving 70x7.

The Lord Jesus' instruction to forgive 70x7 (490 times) is understood to be a symbolic call to limitless forgiveness rather than a literal mathematical cap. 70x7 forgiveness for 490 times is a number intended to be beyond human tracking. Jesus used this figure to suggest that if you are keeping a tally, you haven't truly forgiven. The goal is to lose count rather than to keep score. In Jesus time, some religious leaders taught that one only needed to forgive three times. By offering a large number like 490, Jesus moved the conversation from a legalistic rule (how much is required) to a blessed principle of unlimited grace.

Hebrew words have numerical values with alphanumeric meanings called Gematria. The numerical value for the Hebrew word tamim that means perfect, complete, or finished is 490. This links the number 490 directly to the concept of a perfect or finished forgiveness that holds no grudges. Christians should extend forgiveness to others as abundantly as they have received it from the Lord Jesus.

Rizpah's Witness Part Two

This bible study is about a blessed woman in the bible named Rizpah who caused a king and a nation to remember that her innocent sons and nephews died for the sins of the people. Like Rizpah, I pray that all my friends everywhere who read this will remind people that the innocent Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the people. Proverbs 11:30 says the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Tell people everywhere to get saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

Pictured above after the Gibeonites killed Rizpah's two innocent sons and Michal's five innocent sons for their father Saul's sin of slaying the Gibeonites, Rizpah went out on a hill underneath her two sons and five nephews to protect them from the birds of the air by day and the beasts of the field by night. Rizpah took a big black sackcloth and spread it upon a rock underneath her slain sons' and nephews' bodies and for months Rizpah watched and protected her slain sons from the birds and beasts. For weeks and weeks, Rizpah kept away the buzzards and vultures by day, and the jackals, wolves, and coyotes by night from her slain sons' and nephews' bodies.

2 Samuel 21:9 says And he (David) delivered them (the seven sons of Saul) into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the Lord: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest. And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

Rizpah was a victim of vengeance. Rizpah had lost her husband Saul and her two dear sons Armoni and Mephibosheth because of the sins of the people. But Rizpah said I'm going to cause King David and the people to remember that innocent children were killed and deserve a proper burial. Rizpah wanted to preserve the bodies of her slain sons and nephews from the buzzards, vultures, jackals, wolves, and coyotes to avoid the shame of people mocking and wagging their heads because these boys did not have a proper burial.

Pictured above we see that three women named Mary Magdalene, mother Mary's sister Mary the mother of James the Lesser, the son of Alphaeus, and Salome, like Rizpah wanted to preserve the body of the innocent Lamb of God, our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of God who died for the sins of the people. Mary Magdalene, Mary, and Salome came to the tomb of Jesus with spikenard, spices, ointment, and embalming fluids to preserve and protect Jesus' body from decaying.

Mark 16:1 says And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had brought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint Him. These three women were like Rizpah who wanted to preserve the bodies of Saul's slain sons from decaying by driving away vultures, buzzards, jackals, wolves, and coyotes day and night.

Like Rizpah, Mary Magdalene, Mary, and Salome, let's all preserve the memory that innocent Jesus died on the cross of Calvary for the sins of all people past, present, and future. Tell people everywhere to be like Rizpah and remind people to daily look by faith with their hearts at the innocent Son of God Jesus who was crucified for our sins. Everytime we see our Lord Jesus on the cross by faith, we should all say Lord Jesus forgive me for my sins, thank you for dying for me on the cross of Calvary, thank you for taking away my sins with your precious blood, and thank you for giving me eternal life. Now I'm going to witness about Jesus everywhere on this earth and win lost sinners to Jesus. Forgive me for not being a better christian.

Everyone say this prayer right now and I pray in Jesus name that peace and strength will bless your life. Say Lord Jesus please keep the cross ever before my eyes that it might lead me, direct me, and guide me in the way you would have me to go. May I be like Rizpah and daily live in the shadow of the cross of our innocent Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Thank you Lord Jesus that I am crucified with Jesus Christ according to Galatians 2:20 and that the blood of Jesus has overcome and destroyed the devil, cleansed me from all my sins, and that evil must pass over me. Rejoice because Hebrews 2:14 tells us that when Jesus died on the cross, the devil and the power of death was destroyed forevermore. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.

Note also that Jesus said that when Mary Magdalene anointed him with spikenard at Simon's house, the spikenard ointment was to be used for his burial to preserve His body from decay. Mary Magdalene like Rizpah wanted to preserve the Son of God's body from decay with spikenard.

Mark 14:3 speaks about Mary Magdalene anointing Jesus with spikenard at Simon's house and says And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head.

After Rizpah for months ran off any bird or beast from her slain sons' and nephews' bodies, pictured above a man told King David that Rizpah was up on the hill underneath the seven slain sons of Saul. The man told King David that people all over the nation daily saw the silhouettes of seven trees, seven slain men, and one faithful woman named Rizpah going from one body to another body driving away any critter and it's shaming the entire nation that the boys have not been buried.

This caused David to feel guilty and ashamed that he killed innocent children for the sins of the people without a proper burial. As a result David gathered the bones of Saul, Jonathan, and the seven slain sons. David then buried Saul and Jonathan in the sepulchre of Kish who was Saul's father. Notice that only Saul and Jonathan were buried with no mention that Saul's seven slain sons were buried. I believe this occurred to have us remember that our Lord Jesus was resurrected and is not in any grave forevermore. We could say Rizpah like Mary Magdalene couldn't find the bodies of her sons or Jesus because they were all risen from the dead. Saul and his seven sons were anointed and like Jesus are not in any grave but risen living forevermore in the kingdom of God.

Next read how the bible describes how David was shamed by Rizpah and gathered the bones of Saul's seven sons, Saul, and Jonathan, burying only Saul and Jonathan. 2 Samuel 21:11 says And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabesh-gilead, which had stolen them from the street of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa.

2 Samuel 21:13 goes on to say And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

The story of Rizpah reminds us about our Lord Jesus. Since the Word of God is Jesus, when we read any story in the old testament like Rizpah's story, we can see Jesus in the story. In the picture above we see Mary (Jesus' mother) and John looking at our innocent Lord Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the people. Doesn't this remind you of Rizpah and King David looking at the seven innocent slain sons of Saul who also died for the sins of the people. Like Rizpah, King David, Mary Magdalene, mother Mary,  and John, let's all tell everyone that the innocent Son of God Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to remove sin from any believing lost sinner.
