Have You Counted The Cost

This Sermon Is Not About
What You Lose If You Accept Jesus Christ

This Sermon Is About
What You Lose If You Reject Jesus Christ
Have You Counted The Cost

This sermon is not about what you lose if you accept Jesus Christ. Most people think about what they'll lose if they accept Jesus Christ (gambling, drinking and smoking weed at the bar, fornicating with many men and women, and cheating to gain money). Remember the pleasure of sin is only for a season with a momentary thrill that ends in misery and death. Romans 8:13 tells us For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. But the pleasures, joy, peace, strength, and health with Jesus are forevermore. Psalm 16:11 promises Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence (Lord Jesus) is fulness of joy; at thy right hand (Lord Jesus) there are pleasures for evermore.

Instead of worrying about what you will lose if you accept Jesus Christ; Start thinking about what you will lose if you reject Jesus Christ. Have you counted the cost for rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ? What anyone does with Jesus on this earth determines where they will be forever in eternity. Jesus said at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Trust Jesus as your Lord and go to heaven. Trust anything else and go to hell and the eternal misery of the lake of fire. Get saved right now and escape the eternal misery of hell and the lake of fire; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess Jesus to be your God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

What You Lose If You Reject Jesus Christ
Have You Counted The Cost
1) Peace Of Mind

First if anyone rejects Jesus Christ, they'll lose peace of mind. You can't purchase everlasting peace with money; Only Jesus can give anyone everlasting peace. Romans 5:1 says Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. And Jesus told us at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. And finally Philippians 4:7 says And the peace of God (with Jesus) which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

2) The Most Enduring Joy In This Life And Forever

Next if anyone rejects Jesus Christ, they'll lose the most enduring joy in this life and forever. Nehemiah 8:10 promises For the joy of the Lord (not the joy of this fading world) is your strength. In other words with Jesus and daily meditating on the Word (that is Jesus) we will have strength to overcome this troubled world. Be like Habakkuk and keep rejoicing with Jesus even though you are surrounded by trouble; Right now say the blessed words of Habakkuk 3:17-19 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.

The joy of Jesus is enduring and lasts forever because Hebrews 13:8 promises Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Everything else (nature, your friends, and your family can change and leave you). But the joy of Jesus is enduring and everlasting. Jesus promised us at Hebrews 13:5 I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. How comforting to say Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3) The Only Real Future Hope That Anyone Can Have

Also if anyone rejects Jesus Christ, they'll lose the only real future hope that anyone can have. This future hope is called the blessed hope where all the saved saints will be caught up out of this world to be with Jesus forever in peace. Titus 2:12 speaks about this blessed hope saying Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldy lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. In other words, after salvation with Jesus, we have a blessed hope that soon there will be a glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus in the clouds where all the saved saints will be caught up out of this troubled world to be with Jesus.

One day 3 men saw the sign pictured above with Uncle Sam saying
I Want You For U.S. Army

The first man said I'll join the army because I want education
The second man said I'll join the army because I want travel
The third man said I'll join the army because I want adventure
Finally a fourth man said Forget that I want out

Brother Bob agrees with the fourth man
I want out of this troubled world
Even so Come Lord Jesus

Remember only Jesus can give anyone a real future hope; You can't hope in man. Don't put your trust in people who will discourage you. 1 Peter 1:24 tells us For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass; The grass withereth and the flower thereof falleth away; But the Word of the Lord (Jesus) endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Instead, place your hope and trust in Jesus; Proverbs 3:5 promises Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Brother Bob has never met anyone that regretted getting saved with Jesus. People always become better with Jesus after salvation. Think about Mark 8:36 before you reject Jesus that says For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul. In other words if you had all the riches, silver, gold, and money of this world piled up to heaven, it would be worthless and useless if you denied Jesus, lost your soul, and went to hell and the lake of fire. The biggest gamble anyone can make is to say there is no hell. People spend 4 years in college learning a trade that they use in a career that lasts around 50 years; But they won't take 30 seconds to determine where they'll spend eternity forever.

What You Lose If You Reject Jesus Christ
Have You Counted The Cost
4) Eternal Life That Escapes The Wrath Of God

Finally, if anyone rejects Jesus Christ, they'll lose eternal life that escapes the wrath of God. John 3:36 says He that believeth on the Son (Jesus) hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son (Jesus) shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth (present tense) on him. It's pretty simple; Accept Jesus and live; Reject Jesus and eventually die with misery. It's wrong when a mother tells her child, Timmy be a good boy and you'll go to heaven. Nope Timmy can be a good boy and go to hell if Timmy rejects Jesus. But if Timmy is a bad boy, repents, gets saved, and accepts Jesus as his Lord, Timmy goes to heaven. Note also that 1 John 5:11-12 says And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son (Jesus) hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God (Jesus) hath not life.

A Lesson A Little Boy Learned While Trying To Draw A Straight Line
Remember Count The Cost If You Reject Jesus

One day a teacher told a little boy trying to draw a straight line, Honey that line isn't straight. The little boy said Well I'll straighten it out later. The teacher replied Honey a line that's drawn straight doesn't have to be straightened out later. See, the thing to do is to draw it straight to start with and then you won't have to worry about getting it straight later. So everyone remember, the thing to do is to start with Jesus and then later you won't have so much to straighen out.

I pray in Jesus name that this little bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength. It's Never Too Late For Jesus

Luke Short Gets Saved For Jesus
Remembering A Sermon He Heard
85 Years Earlier From John Flavel
It's Never Too Late For Jesus

A 15 year old boy named Luke Short listened one day in England to a sermon preached by John Flavel. He heard the preachers message but it had no effect at that time. Luke grew up, immigrated to America and spent the rest of his life as a farmer in Virginia. When Luke was 100 years old, he still had strength to walk across his farm and his mind was alert. But Luke was a lost sinner needing salvation from Jesus.

One day during his centennial year, as Luke sat resting under a shade tree, he reflected on that day as a teenager hearing John Flavel's message. Though Flavel had been dead many years, he could still hear the preacher ringing in his ears. Luke Short fell under conviction and gave his life to Jesus there under that shade tree because of a message preached 85 years ago. It is said that Luke Short lived to be 116 and on his headstone were carved these words. Here lies the body of Luke Short; Aged according to nature 116 years; According to grace 16 years.

Like John Flavel Keep Preaching Jesus Everywhere
The Word Of Jesus Lasts Forever And Can Save Anytime
It's Never Too Late For Jesus

Like John Flavel, keep preaching Jesus everywhere even when it seems no one around you is getting saved. There are many people like Luke Short who get saved because we preached Jesus. We might not hear about the souls we saved on this earth, but in heaven we will be rewarded for the many souls saved from our preaching. Our labor for Jesus is not in vain; 1 Corinthians 15:58 says Therefore, my beloved brethren be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Hebrews 6:10 says For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Always offer salvation for Jesus everywhere. Tell people get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is your God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. We all should at least tell one person a year about Jesus. Witnessing about Jesus gives our lives purpose and is why we are on this earth. Paul told us at 1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apolos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth anything; neither he that watereth, but God giveth the increase.

Even when people reject and persecute us for preaching about Jesus, rejoice and keep preaching Jesus. Someone once told DL Moody mind your own business after he asked him Do you believe in the Lord Jesus? DL Moody replied It is my business whether you are saved for Jesus. Someone once told Brother Bob go to hell after I asked him Do you believe in the Lord Jesus? Brother Bob replied I can't go to hell because I'm saved and going to heaven forever in peace with Jesus.

Remember the Word of God is a seed that gets planted into people that listen to your sermons. And when these people hear the Word from other preachers, the Word gets watered and eventually God will give the increase. Remember God also says at Isaiah 55:11 So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. And Isaiah 59:1 promises Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. Jesus can save the worst sinner who asks for mercy while he remembers a sermon heard many years earlier.

Like The Farmers, Keep Preaching Jesus
Planting The Seed Of God's Word
Eventually The Harvest Will Occur
Where Multitudes Will Get Saved For Jesus

Don't get discouraged when you don't see immediate visible results and souls saved after you preach Jesus. Be like the farmers who always plant their seeds believing that a harvest will occur. James 5:7-8 says Be patient therefore brethren unto the coming of the Lord. Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth and hath long patience for it until he receive the early and latter rain; Be ye also patient, stablish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Be a farmer for Jesus and keep preaching the Word of God and soon you will see your blessed harvest of many saved souls for Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 11:1 promises Cast thy bread (the Word of God) upon the waters (send the Word of God over the waters of this earth with this internet to many nations); for thou shalt find it after many days (eventually you will find many souls in heaven saved because you preached the Word on this internet). And remember Galatians 6:9 promises And let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

A Blessed Quote From Amy Carmichael
Who Was A Great Missionary To India
Keep Witnessing And Preaching Jesus Everywhere At All Times

We will have all eternity to celebrate our victories
But only a few short hours to win them
Excuses will always be plentiful, opportunities won't

The Jailer, Rahab, and Lazarus Learned That
It's Never Too Late For Jesus

The jailer, Rahab, and Lazarus learned that it's never too late for Jesus. The jailer beat and placed Paul and Silas in prison. Every night at midnight, the jailer heard Paul and Silas praising Jesus. After an earthquake freed the prisoners, the jailer was going to kill himself. But Paul showed forgiveness and loved the jailer and offered the jailer salvation. The jailer's life was spared and the jailer got gloriously saved along with his family. It's never too late for Jesus.

Rahab was a prostitute that sinned every day. One day Rahab heard about the goodness of God and got saved. Rahab feared God and protected spies sent to destroy her city Jericho. Rahab agreed to place a scarlet line outside her window so her house would be saved from Joshua's army. Eventually Rahab was saved, had a son named Boaz and became the grandparent to King David and our Lord Jesus. It's never too late for Jesus.

Finally, Lazarus died and was buried in a tomb. Jesus waited 4 days to visit Lazarus' tomb. Martha said Lord if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But Jesus told Martha, at John 11:25 I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And Jesus also said at Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.

Jesus first wept at Lazarus' tomb. But then Jesus proclaimed Lazarus come forth. And John 11:44 tells us And he (Lazarus) that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot, with graveclothes, and his face was bound about with a napkin. Then Jesus told the disciples Loose him, and let him go. It's never too late for Jesus.

I pray in Jesus name this little bible study about Luke Short blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength. Solomon Ginsburg A Wandering Jew Preaching Jesus In Brazil

How A Jew Named Solomon Ginsburg Got Saved
And Became A Blessed Preacher For Jesus In Brazil

Solomon Ginsburg pictured above was a Jew whose parents were wealthy orthodox Jews in Poland. After Solomon heard someone preaching about Jesus from Isaiah 53:5 that says But He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with His stripes we are healed, Solomon got saved and accepted the Lord Jesus. Immediately after learning about Solomon's salvation, Solomon's entire Jewish family disowned and cursed him. Solomon told all his Jewish relatives Galatians 3:13 that says Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.

Like Solomon Ginsburg, Brother Bob also got saved for Jesus and left all his wealthy Jewish relatives to preach Jesus everywhere at preachbrotherbob. Solomon Ginsburg told his wealthy Jewish relatives, I'd rather choose Jesus that gives us peace that passeth all understanding with a joy unspeakable and full of glory than all the fading riches of this world. Like Solomon Ginsburg, Brother Bob says accepting Jesus and salvation was the best thing that ever happened in my life. I've never met anyone in my life that regretted getting saved with Jesus. Right now get saved and enjoy the peace, joy, and strength to overcome this world with Jesus. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Solomon Ginsburg Becomes A Missionary To Brazil
Preaching About Jesus In Rio De Janeiro Pictured Above

Around 1895, Solomon Ginsburg decided to become a missionary to Brazil and win souls for our Lord Jesus. After Solomon learned the Portuguese language, he left Poland and Portugal, traveling to Brazil to preach Jesus everywhere. Brazil was ruled by Roman Catholic priests who forbid the distribution of 1611 King James bibles. Solomon Ginsburg obeyed Jesus instead of these ungodly wicked Catholic priests and distributed bibles throughout Brazil preaching about Jesus and salvation.

Then the Catholic priests arrested and placed Solomon Ginsburg in jail for distributing bibles and preaching about Jesus. But somehow Jesus blessed Solomon to escape jail and keep preaching about Jesus to the people of Brazil. During the early 1900s, Brazil was like the wild wild west of America, with many gangsters and bandits looting, stealing, and gambling. The Catholic priests and monks would pay gangsters and bandits to persecute, beat, and torture anyone that preached about Jesus and distributed a bible.

People would ask Solomon Ginsburg, Why did you choose to witness to the people of Brazil instead of witnessing Jesus to the Jews? Solomon replied It's because the greatest obstacle to the conversion of Jews and Gentiles and the evangelization of the world is the Catholic church. Solomon explained even though the Catholics in Brazil claim to be christian, they practice idolatry worshipping the Pope and Mary as gods, while they engage in materialistic customs, traditions, and degrading superstitions. If there is one thing that Jews learn, it is to oppose the worship of idols. My very instinct and nature revolted against the practices of the Catholic church.

Solomon Ginsburg told the people of Brazil that they were not required to practice the many traditions of the Catholic church to get saved with Jesus. Taking the sacraments, praying with rosary beads, and confessing sins to a priest were not required for salvation with Jesus. Solomon would tell people all that was required to be saved was to repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Like Solomon, Brother Bob says Trust Jesus and go to heaven. Trust anything else and go to hell. Not the blood of Jesus plus water, not the blood of Jesus plus wafers, not the blood of Jesus plus works; But it's the blood of Jesus Christ plus nothing that saves. Titus 3:5 says Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His (Jesus') mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

How A Bandit Named Antonio Silvino
Paid By A Catholic Monk To Kill Solomon Ginsburg
Got Saved For Jesus

A Catholic monk paid a bandit named Antonio Silvino a lot of money to kill Solomon Ginsburg and stop the preaching of Jesus. While Ginsburg was riding a horse traveling to a meeting where he was scheduled to preach, he saw Antonio Silvino (the second person from the left in the top row pictured above) standing in a field with a double barreled shotgun. Not realizing that Silvino was sent to kill him, Solomon, thinking Silvino was a hunter wished Silvino a good day and showed kindness.

Antonio Silvino did not kill Solomon Ginsburg because of the kind words spoken by Solomon to Antonio. Instead Antonio decided to follow Solomon and listen to his preaching while he was disguised among the congregation. Wow we see that Proverbs 15:1 is correct that says A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Truly the power of life and death is in the tongue. We reap what we sow. If we are kind, gentle, and forgiving, people will be kind, gentle, and forgiving to us. If we are mean, hateful, and complain, people will be mean, hateful, and complain to us. Proverbs 18:24 says A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend (Jesus) that sticketh closer than a brother.

After Antonio listened to Solomon's preaching, Antonio decided to visit Solomon's home. Earlier that day Solomon Ginsburg was informed that a man named Antonio Silvino was sent by the Catholic church to kill him. When Solomon learned that Antonio Silvino was knocking on the door of his house, Solomon prayed, hoping that Jesus would spare his life. To Solomon's surprise, he met Antonio Silvino crying on his knees asking Jesus to save his soul.

Antonio Silvino told Solomon that because of his kind words and preaching about the love of Jesus, he could not kill him. After Antonio got saved, he became Ginsburg's personal bodyguard. And when anybody saw Antonio Silvino, Antonio always had a bible in his hands reading and praying. This is why we need to love our enemies and bless them that persecute us. Jesus will take our worst enemies and make them our best friends. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.

But there is one other note to complete this story about Antonio Silvino. Solomon Ginsburg's life was spared from Silvino because of the prayers from several women in America. The day after Antonio spared Solomon's life, a letter arrived from the Young Women's Society of Americus, Georgia. The letter stated that these ladies offered special prayers of protection for Solomon Ginsburg the very day that Solomon met the celebrated bandit Antonio Silvino. These ladies prayers saved Solomon's life. James 5:16 says The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much.

Solomon Ginsburg Helps Save The Meanest Bandit In Brazil
Named Herculano

One day the worst gangster in Brazil who was a big Brazilian giant named Herculano asked Jesus for forgiveness after hearing the preaching of Solomon Ginsburg. Then Herculano asked Solomon to visit his home and tell him more about Jesus. Solomon's friends told Ginsburg that Herculano lived in the most dangerous village of Brazil inhabited by many thieves and robbers. They warned Solomon not to visit Herculano because even the police feared to enter Herculano's village alone because strangers that ventured there were never heard from again.

But Solomon trusted Jesus telling everyone I'm going to visit Herculano and tell him about Jesus because 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. When Solomon arrived at Herculano's home, Herculano said that he killed many people for Brazilian politicians and money. Then after Herculano learned from Solomon that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, Herculano repented of his sins and got gloriously saved.

After Herculano got saved, Herculano witnessed Jesus to all the people of his village. Many people in Herculano's village got saved and this village became safe and was no longer a dangerous place. 1 Peter 4:8 says And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Because Solomon Ginsburg showed charity (love) by visiting Herculano, a whole village was changed where a multitude of sins were avoided. And then Herculano along with Antonio Silvino became Solomon Ginsburg's bodyguards, protecting him from all persecutors. Like Silvino, Herculano was faithful to Jesus for the rest of his life and won many people to salvation for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Internet Archive is a blessed website with millions of free books to read and borrow. Just type in any author's name in the search box at Internet Archive and read and borrow many digital free books. Solomon Ginsburg lived from 1867-1927. He was born a Jew but died a faithful Christian preaching Jesus to the people of Brazil. Note Solomon's tombstone pictured above with a Jewish star by his birthdate 8/6/1867 and a Christian cross by his date of death 3/31/1927.

Note the following blessed quotes stated by Solomon Ginsburg during his life. After Solomon got saved, he said It's simply wonderful what the Lord can do for a poor degraded penitent sinner. The blood of Jesus is efficacious and saves to the uttermost. Hebrews 7:25 says Wherefore He (The Father) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him (Jesus), seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Take time to read the blessed words from one of Solomon Ginsburg's sermons. Solomon said "The saddest thing of all is the fact that Christ's love and free offer of pardon is not known. Oh how people strive to save themselves and to pacify their troubled conscience but all to no avail for only Jesus pardons and forgives and saves. Jesus needs to be preached. The gospel of Jesus needs to be published so people do not die in their sins and go to hell for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

How Clyde Thompson The Meanest Man In Texas Got Saved For Jesus

A Blessed Testimony About How The Meanest Man In Texas
Clyde Thompson Got Saved For Jesus

Clyde Thompson pictured above was the worst criminal ever in Texas. But Clyde found forgiveness with Jesus even though he murdered eight innocent men. When Clyde was only 17, he was sentenced to death after he murdered two innocent men. But for some reason, Clyde was allowed to live and instead was sentenced to life in prison. Then Clyde became a savage animal and would kill anyone that got near him. Clyde Thompson became the meanest man in Texas. This is Clyde Thompson's blessed story of how the meanest man in Texas got saved for Jesus.

After Clyde Thompson tried several times to escape from prison, Clyde's prison warden locked Clyde up in a morgue for 5 years in solitary confinement. Clyde had become a wild man that would kill anything moving near him. The guards had to throw food to Clyde every day because Clyde was a raging maniac out of control. The morgue Clyde lived in for 5 years was an old concrete building with six slabs, a steel door, and a couple of bar openings for light. Clyde was like the maniac from Gadarenes who cried day and night going crazy in a morgue. The warden only let Clyde have a pair of shorts so Clyde wouldn't hang himself.

Pictured Above Is Clyde Thompson And His Wife
After He Got Saved For Jesus

Read The Story Below Of How Clyde Thompson Changed
From The Meanest Man In Texas To
The Kindest Man In Texas

One day a miracle occurred while Clyde Thompson was living in solitary confinement in a morgue. Clyde asked his warden for a bible to read to try to prove that Jesus is a myth. Brother Bob says when anyone says Jesus is a myth, tell them they're mythstaken, mythstified, mythinformed, and mytherable. Anyway the next day the warden threw a bible into Clyde's morgue, and Clyde started reading that bible every day.

The more Clyde Thompson studied the bible, the more he realized that Jesus is God and that the bible is the truth. Clyde asked Jesus to forgive him for all his sins and got gloriously saved in that morgue. Clyde Thompson was a changed man. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. Clyde's warden and all the prison guards became friends with Clyde and eventually released him from the morgue to a jail cell.

Then Clyde Thompson began to write articles for christian newspapers. And Clyde wrote letters about Jesus to thousands of people from jail trying to win souls for Jesus. Clyde also completed a two year bible course and starting preaching Jesus to all the prisoners. Many prisoners got saved for Jesus because of Clyde's blessed preaching.

Clyde Thompson would tell all the prisoners that he wished he could give life back to the eight men he murdered. But Clyde told everyone that he had peace with Jesus because one man named Jesus died for all sinners everywhere and the blood of Jesus washed away all his sins. Like Clyde Thompson, Brother Bob tells everyone that Jesus can forgive the worst sinner and won't reject anyone during this church age of grace. Revelation 22:17 tells us And the Spirit and the bride say Come. And let him that heareth say Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. Get saved right now and repent, decide to stop sinning, confess Jesus to be God, and believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Eventually Clyde Thompson Was Released From Prison
And Married Julia Perryman Pictured Above

One day after Clyde Thompson got saved in prison, Clyde received a letter from a christian lady named Julia Perryman. Julia and Clyde became good friends and wrote each other for years. When Clyde and Julia first met at the prison, Clyde proposed marriage and Julia accepted. Julia campaigned for years for prison wardens to release Clyde Thompson because of Clyde's good behavior. After many prayers and Julia's persistence, Clyde was awarded parole and released from prison.

The warden who had placed Clyde into the morgue became one of Clyde's best friends. The day Clyde Thompson was released from prison, this warden dressed Clyde in a brand new suit of clothes, rejoicing that Clyde could marry Julia Perryman. Five days after Clyde was released from prison, Clyde and Julia were married.

Next, Clyde Thompson became a pastor of a church from 1957-1970. Whenever any prisoner got out of jail, Clyde would invite them to his house, dress them in a suit of clothes, and teach them how to live for Jesus Christ. Clyde and Julia then adopted a little Navajo girl named Shirley Anne. And in 1977 Clyde became the chaplain of the Lubbock County jail and preached Jesus to many prisoners. Clyde Thompson died on July 1, 1979 and Julia Perryman died ten years later.

Like Clyde Thompson
Onesimus And The Thief By Jesus' Cross
Found Forgiveness And Salvation With Jesus

After reading about Clyde Thompson's testimony, we learn that the bible gives many examples of criminals and cruel people that were forgiven and received salvation from Jesus. Jesus said at Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous; but sinners to repentance. And Luke 19:10 tells us For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Onesimus was a criminal that got gloriously saved after hearing about Jesus from Paul. Paul told Philemon to forgive Onesimus and receive him as a fellow brother in Jesus Christ.

Paul told Philemon at Philemon 10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus whom I have begotten in my bonds. Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me. Paul told Philemon If he (Onesimus) hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account. Paul was merciful to Onesimus and remembered how Jesus had forgiven him. Paul wrote at 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Here's some other examples of sinners like Clyde Thompson who received forgiveness and salvation from Jesus. The thief on the cross by Jesus at Calvary who killed, raped, and murdered all his life got saved by asking Jesus Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Jesus responded saying at Luke 23:43  Verily I say unto thee; To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. The woman caught in the act of adultery was forgiven and saved by Jesus. Jesus told her at John 8:11 Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more.

The man in the tombs of Gadarenes was forgiven and saved by Jesus. After this man wanted to follow Jesus, Jesus had him write books for Jesus in Decapolis and many people got saved. Finally Jesus forgave and saved the chief tax collector named Zacchaeus. After Jesus visited Zacchaeus' house, Zacchaeus was a changed man with kindness. Zacchaeus said at Luke 19:8 Behold Lord the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. Jesus replied This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son fo Abraham.

Remember friends everywhere, there is room at the cross for you. Like Clyde Thompson, Jesus can forgive the most wicked sinner on this earth. The blood of Jesus is able to wash away the worst sins of anyone. 1 John 1:7 promises But if we walk in the light, as He (Jesus) is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. And Revelation 1:5 promises And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him (Jesus) that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Right now praise Jesus for His precious blood that removes guilt and all our sins forevermore. With Jesus we are white as pure snow and have the privilege to enter heaven in peace forevermore.

A Blessed Poem About Forgiveness With Jesus

If our greatest need had been knowledge
God would have sent us a teacher
If our greatest need had been money
God would sent us an economist

If our greatest need had been technology
God would have sent us a scientist
If our greatest need had been health
God would have sent us a doctor
If our greatest need had been pleasure
God would have sent us an entertainer

But our greatest need was forgiveness
So God sent us the Saviour Jesus Christ

Keep Plodding Like Geronimo And Lois Martin

Geronimo And Lois Martin Succesfully Translated The Bible
For The Navajo Indians Because They Plodded
And Worked For Jesus Daily For 42 Years

Geronimo and Lois Martin pictured above successfully translated the entire bible into the Navajo language. Geronimo was born blind but as a young man he got saved, believing in our Lord Jesus. He understood the power of the bible to change lives and he had a lifelong dream of the Navajo Indians having God's Word in their language. Even though Geronimo was blind, he allowed his wife Lois to help him achieve his goal of translating every word of the bible into the Navajo language.

In 1944, Geronimo and his wife Lois started to translate the bible for the Navajo Indians. Geronimo would read an English Braille bible and translate it into Navajo, while Lois wrote it down. After 12 years, the New Testament was translated into Navajo. The result was thousands of Navajo Indians getting saved for Jesus. Many Navajo Indians then asked Geronimo and Lois to translate the Old Testament into Navajo. Geronimo and Lois set out again in 1968 to translate the Old Testament into Navajo which they finished in 1984, the same year Geronimo Martin died at age 67. One year later Lois witnessed the complete publication of the Navajo bible.

Geronimo And Lois Martin Successfully Translated The Bible For The Navajos
Because They Never Quit And Kept Plodding Daily For 42 Years
Remember Little Is Much When God Is In It

Plod means to work little by little each day toward a goal never quitting. Remember little is much when God is in it. When anyone keeps plodding daily for Jesus while they overcome the troubles of this world, eventually they will achieve their dreams and many souls will be saved for our Lord Jesus. Jesus said at John 16:33 In me ye might have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Geronimo and Lois Martin had to overcome many setbacks while they translated the bible for the Navajos. But they kept on plodding determined to finish their goal. Lois Martin remembers an unexpected problem. We had just finished the book of Job, which took about 3 months to translate into Navajo, and we were going to Tucson Arizona. We had the handwritten manuscript of the book of Job, at least 100 pages in a suitcase tied on top of the car with other luggage. The rope must have loosened and the suitcase fell off. I walked over the entire area but never found it. Smiling serenely, Lois says We learned Job's tribulations by doing the book of Job over again. In all, it took the Martins 42 years to complete the entire translation of the Navajo bible.

Because Geronimo And Lois Martin Kept Plodding For Jesus
Thousands Of Navajo Indians Are Saved With Joy For Jesus

After Geronimo and Lois Martin completed the translation of the Navajo bible, thousands of Navajo's became christians and love the Word of God. Pictured above the Navajo bible is called Diyin God Bizaad that means The Holy God, His Word. Currently Navajo Pastor Sampson Yazzie uses the Navajo bible to teach Navajo Indians about Jesus and save their souls.

Learn A Lesson From The Postage Stamp
Like Geronimo and Lois Martin
Keep Plodding And Working Daily For Jesus To Save Souls

Consider the postage stamp
It's usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there

Brother Bob is gonna be like the postage stamp and continue to tell people everywhere how to be saved with Jesus and eventually multitudes will get saved for Jesus all over this earth. What a blessed reunion it will be when Brother Bob sees all the people in heaven that got saved by reading preachbrotherbob. Only what we do for Jesus on this earth matters. Now here's how to get saved. Get saved right now and repent, decide to stop sinning, confess everywhere that Jesus is God, and believe in your heart that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

The Bible Promises Rewards If You Keep Plodding Daily For Jesus

Note the following bible scriptures that promise rewards for daily plodding for Jesus trying to win souls and encourage the poor widows and orphans of this world. Galatians 6:9 promises And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. And because we have the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ according to 1 Corinthians 15:57, 1 Corinthians 15:58 promises Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Be like the following bible plodders who achieved their dreams because they never quit working for Jesus. Remember quitters never win and winners never quit. Noah plodded 120 years even though no one got saved outside of his family, and eventually finished an ark that saved mankind (1 Peter 3:20). Joseph plodded and diligently collected grain for 7 years to save the people from a famine (Genesis 41:53). Moses trudged through the wilderness with the children of God for 40 years and successfully led them to the promised land (Acts 7:36). Nehemiah worked 52 days to successfully repair the walls of Jerusalem brick by brick (Nehemiah 6:15). Four scrawny lepers plodded and each took a step of faith against a strong enemy and got the victory for all of Israel (2 Kings 7:8).

And let's all remember the greatest plodder our Lord Jesus Christ to overcome any trouble. Jesus inched his way up Calvary to die for our sins, each step more painful than the last. And because Jesus faithfully plodded and died for all our sins, now we can daily look to the cross of Jesus to overcome the troubles of this world. Hebrews 12:2 tells us how to overcome problems saying Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Tell the devil daily I am crucified with Christ and that Jesus destroyed all my problems at the cross (Hebrews 2:14).

More Scriptures About Rewards And Blessings When We Plod For Jesus

To be a successful plodder for Jesus one must abide and live daily for Jesus. Every day stay in the Word, always attend a local church, and keep praying daily. If you keep plodding and abiding daily with Jesus, the bible promises that you can ask for anything from Jesus and you will receive it. Jesus promised at John 15:7 If ye abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. In other words, if you abide with Jesus daily, you'll ask for the right things to bless Jesus, and Jesus will give them to you.

To sum it all up, be a blessed plodder for Jesus like Geronimo and Lois Martin. Believe God one task at a time, one day at a time, trusting in God's power to change the world for Jesus through a series of obedient steps. Plod daily for Jesus keeping your eyes on the goal to win souls everywhere for Jesus resisting all temptations that lead to sinful detours. Remember Paul's advice from Philippians 3:13 But this one thing I do; forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Today, Geronimo and Lois Martin have both died. But their completed Navajo bible will last forever and continue to save thousands of Navajo Indians for Jesus. Isaiah 40:8 promises The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the Word of our God shall stand forever. Psalm 119:89 declares For ever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven. And Psalm 12:6 proclaims The words of the Lord are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Keep plodding for Jesus every day. Only what we all do for Jesus will last.
