Women Remembered By Jesus

Today, Brother Bob gives you all a blessed bible study about the many faithful women in the bible that Jesus and all of us should honor forevermore. For my first picture today, Brother Bob wants you to notice Joanna, Susanna, Mary Magdalene, and other women having the privilege of being remembered for blessing the Lord Jesus with substance, wealth, and goods. Wow, what an honor to have provided money, food, and clothing personally to Jesus. The bible scripture that references this story is at Luke 8:2 and says And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto Him of their substance (defined as wealth and goods).

We can learn a lesson from Joanna, Susanna, and Mary Magdalene of the importance of blessing people around us in need. Hebrews 13:2 tells us Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. When Jesus tells you saint reading this anywhere to bless a stranger with food, clothing, and money, remember you could be blessing an angel. Wow, Joanna, Susanna, and Mary Magdalene were blessing someone greater than an angel who was actually Jesus who is God and much greater than any angel.

For all women reading this bible study forevermore, please take time to meditate on 1 Timothy 2:9 that gives directions on how women should live holy lives for Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:9 says In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. Note that in Greek modest is defined as a holy woman should dress decently, shamefacedness is defined as a holy woman should consider the poor and others, and finally sobriety is defined as a holy woman should be temperate having self control, daily denying her flesh while walking in the Spirit with Jesus as she daily remembers with her heart Jesus Christ crucified.

For my next picture of a holy woman that Jesus and all of us should remember forevermore we see Mary the sister of Lazarus. Mary broke a costly and precious alabaster box of ointment of spikenard and anointed Jesus' head and feet with the ointment of spikenard, wiping Jesus' feet with her hair. Mary realized that Jesus was more important than any money she could receive by selling the ointment of spikenard for what was then millions of dollars. Saint reading this anywhere, Brother Bob encourages you to be like Mary and value Jesus and the poor around you more than your wealth, possessions, and money.

The bible is like a puzzle and two separate gospels tell the story of the picture above with the gospel of John identifying Mary as the woman who placed the expensive spikenard on the head and feet of the Lord Jesus. Wow, Jesus said that Mary's deed would be memorialized forever and told to all generations forevermore. Mark 14:3 says And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good; but me ye have not always. She hath done what she could; she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Now note John's gospel tells the same story and identifies Mary as the woman that anointed Jesus with the expensive spikenard. John's gospel lets you also know that the thief Judas was more concerned about selling the spikenard for money that he could steal instead of using the spikenard to bless the Lord Jesus. Saint reading this choose to be like Mary instead of Judas and value Jesus more than any earthly possession and money. John 12:3 says Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Then saith one of His disciples, Judas Isacariot, Simon's son, which should betray Him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Then said Jesus, Let her alone; against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

Saint reading this right now, make a choice now, either Jesus or money. I pray in Jesus name everyone who forevermore reads this bible study would choose to worship Jesus instead of money. The bible says you can't serve two masters; a choice must be made. Matthew 6:24 says No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (defined as treasures and riches). Let's all be like Mary pictured above and not hoard our money but release our wealth and goods to Jesus by blessing the poor. You might say where does it say in the bible that if I bless the poor I bless Jesus. Brother Bob says read Matthew 25:40 that says And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Also read Proverbs 17:5 that says Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker; and he that is glad at calamaties shall not be unpunished.

OK, my next story about a woman that Jesus remembered for her kindness is the picture above of the little maid that took time to care for Naaman, telling him to go to Elisha the prophet to be healed of leprosy. 2 Kings 5:2 says And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel, a little maid, and she waited on Naaman's wife. And she said unto her mistress, would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy. And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is in the land of Israel. And the king of Syria said, Go to, go and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.

We can learn a lesson from the little maid pictured above. The little maid did what is stated at 1 Timothy 2:1 that says I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayer, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour. The little maid's kindness to King Naaman allowed Naaman to take the advice of the prophet Elisha and dip seven times in the Jordan river to heal and remove his leprosy.

Saint reading this anywhere you might feel insignificant like the little maid, but be encouraged and let your light shine for Jesus. People listen to us and look at our lives for Jesus daily. Let us all share the revelations and peace of Jesus with everyone to cause others to be saved and realize that the Lord Jesus can heal and give everlasting peace to all who believe. 2 Corinthians 3:2 says Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. Take time to meditate on Jude 21 that says Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference; and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Let us all be wise like the little maid above, showing kindness to those around us in the world like Naaman, thereby winning souls to Jesus. Colossians 4:5 tells us Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Proverbs 11:30 says The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

My next woman that we all should remember is the widow of Zarephath pictured above. This widow of Zarephath blessed the prophet Elijah and gave the last of her meal to Elijah. We should all be like this widow and share our blessings with everyone. Matthew 10:42 tells us And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. The widow of Zarephath blessed Elijah with the last of her meal and as a result was rewarded where her barrel of meal wasted not and her cruse of oil failed not.

The story about the above picture is at 1 Kings 17:9 that says Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there; behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks; and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse; and behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said; but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah, and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

We can all learn a lesson from the widow of Zarephath. Jesus told us all to not be like the heathen and worry about our daily needs of food, shelter, and clothing. Like the widow of Zarephath, let's all keep blessing the poor all around us and Jesus will always create food and our needs out of nowhere and keep us alive in peace on this earth. Remember the Lord Jesus created manna out of nowhere as food to the children of Israel in the wilderness. Take a look at Matthew 6:31 that says Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be addded unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Wasn't it a blessing that Elijah trusted the instruction of the Lord Jesus and believed that an old widow woman at Zarephath could keep him alive. It does not make any sense to our natural minds that a little old lady could keep us alive. Jesus honored Elijah's faith as Elijah believed that a little old lady could keep him alive and miraculously make food appear out of nowhere. Saint reading this like Elijah take God at his Word and obey the instructions of the Word and I promise you that Jesus will sustain, bless, and eternally preserve you with peace in this troubled world.

Wow, what a wonderful picture of Jesus remembering and recognizing a poor widow who threw only two mites into the treasury. This widow woman was willing to give everything she had to bless Jesus. Jesus let the rich people know that this widow woman gave much more than all the offerings given by the many rich people. The story about the picture above is at Mark 12:41 and says And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and behold how the people cast money into the treasury; and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them Verily, I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury; For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Saint, reading this like the poor widow woman pictured above I pray in Jesus name you will give everything you have to lift up Jesus. This poor widow woman truly fulfilled Matthew 16:24 that says Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.

Hallelujah, Brother Bob like the widow woman pictured above gave away everything, family, material possessions, and literally everything to daily lift up the name of Jesus. And praise you Lord Jesus that these writings for Jesus on a little computer in a one bedroom apartment in poor little Reynoldsburg, Ohio are blessing untold numbers of people in many lands and souls are being saved and will live forevermore in peace in the kingdom of God.

To end up today's bible study, I want everyone to remember Pilate's wife who feared Jesus but unfortunately her husband Pilate ignored her advice to have nothing to do with Jesus. Matthew 27:19 says When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of Him.

As we all look at the picture above we see that Pilate refused his wife's request and sentenced Jesus to be crucified. Over the years Brother Bob has ministered to many women who have lived with abusive husbands that did not serve Jesus. I've always told women that Jesus did not want them to have to suffer and be abused by cruel husbands that did not fear Jesus. If you are an abused woman reading this, please take time to read 1 Samuel 25 about a woman named Abigail who was married to Nabal defined as a fool who was churlish (defined as cruel and grievous). Abigail left her husband and refused to be abused. Like Abigail, Brother Bob says to all abused women, it is in God's will to leave an abusive husband and live in peace. To all men reading this, Brother Bob says to cherish your wives and treat them like queens as you daily serve Jesus as the head of your family. To all women reading this, if your husband has placed Jesus first in your family and daily shows kindness to his wife, the wife should be submissive to her husband and allow her husband to be the head and make the final decisions for the family.

To support what Brother Bob has stated above read Ephesians 5:22 that says Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and He is the saviour of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it.

I've enjoyed writing this bible study about blessed women in the bible. I hope that this bible study gives all my friends everywhere peace and strength everywhere. No Bad Thoughts Or Memories In The Kingdom Of God

Praise the Lord saints everywhere, today I want to encourage all my friends by telling you all that soon when we arrive at the kingdom of God, we will forget and have no memories of the bad things of this world. Now take time to meditate on one of Brother Bob's favorite bible verses from the prophet Isaiah at Isaiah 65:17 that says For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. This same verse appears in the new testament at Revelation 21:1 that says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Also note that Revelation 21:4 says And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; (now note the next part of this verse) for the former things are passed away.

It's like a woman after she gives birth to a baby. Once the baby is born the woman is so happy to see the child that she forgets all her labour and pains of this world. John 16:21 tells us a woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. Saint reading this anywhere realize that just a glimpse of Jesus in the kingdom of God will make all the bad memories of this life instantly disappear with no memory when all saints receive everlasting joy forever. Isaiah 35:10 says And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, (note the next part of this verse) and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Now look at the above picture of Lot fleeing from Sodom and Gomorrah with his two daughters where his wife turns into a pillar of salt. Realize that in the kingdom of God we all will no longer have to be vexed by the unclean conversation of sinners in this world like Lot. 1 Peter 2:7 says And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked; For that righteous man, dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds. This is because according to Revelation 21:27 it says And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Now Brother Bob will proceed to give you all examples of bad memories in this world that will never appear or be remembered in the kingdom of God with Jesus. Along with King David, saint reading this everywhere, you will no longer have to say in the kingdom of God Psalm 120:5 Woe is me that I sojourn in Mesech (people that take possession of me and scatter me), that I dwell in the tents of Kedar (darkness) (note that there is no darkness forever in the kingdom of God with Jesus because Revelation 22:5 says And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever). My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace but when I speak they are for war.

Now look at the picture above of Elijah in a cave feeling like he is all alone with no friends. Rejoice because soon in the kingdom of God we all will have innumerable friends and angels that worship Jesus forevermore in peace and joy. Hebrews 12:22 tells us But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. Praise the Lord saints everywhere, along with Elijah in the kingdom of God, we will no longer have to say what is written at 1 Kings 19:10 that says And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of Hosts, for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars and slain thy prophets with the sword and I even I only am left and they seek my life to take it away.

Saint reading this anywhere if you feel alone and rejected by this world be encouraged because Jesus will always be your friend forevermore. Look at the words of Jesus at John 15:14 that says Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants, for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Jesus truly is the faithful friend that sticketh closer than any brother in this world according to Proverbs 18:24 that says A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly; and there is a friend that sticketh (cleaves) closer than a brother. This kind of reminds Brother Bob of the Holy Ghost cloven tongues of fire that cleaves to us and stays with us forevermore when we believe Jesus is God.

Along with the prophet Elijah pictured above, the prophet Isaiah and all saints will no longer have to say in the kingdom of God Isaiah 6:5 that says Then said I, Woe is me, for I am undone because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts. Saint reading this anywhere, rejoice for the blood of Jesus will cleanse and remove all our uncleanness forever. Right now saint reading this lift up your hands to Jesus and be encouraged if you feel you have sinned and are not worthy to come to Jesus. Memorize 1 John 1:7 and say it out loud right now and realize that the blood of Jesus has cleansed and taken away forever all your sin and now you are pure and clean to approach God. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Brother Bob says let's all take hold of our ticket to heaven that is the blood of Jesus we receive by faith when we daily believe and remember Jesus Christ crucified with our hearts. I want you all now to meditate on Hebrews 10:19 that proves that the blood of Jesus is the ticket or way of access to enter the kingdom of God. Hebrews 10:19 says Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.

OK, take a look at the picture above of Delilah removing Samson's hair, making Samson weak because Samson became a friend of the world. Brother Bob has heard a lot of people say I wonder how much of the world I can enjoy while I still serve Jesus. Brother Bob says correction to this saying. We all should say How much Jesus can I enjoy while I deny the world. A praying man will quit sinning but a sinning man will quit praying. Persecuted piety is better than prospering profaneness. James 4:4 tells us Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Brother Bob tells all people if you fit into the world you are backsliding away from Jesus. When the world rejects you and separates you from their company, you are growing and getting closer to Jesus.

The sad part about the story of the picture above is that Samson was so full of the world, that Samson did not even realize that he had lost the Lord Jesus. It's sad when people choose the pleasures of this world instead of Jesus and become so lost that they can not even pray for themselves. Brother Bob wants all saints reading this to compare two scriptures and make a choice today. The scriptures are Hebrews 11:25 and Psalm 16:11. Hebrews 11:25 talks about Moses saying Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Psalm 16:11 says (Lord) thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.  I pray in Jesus name that all who forevermore read this bible study choose the pleasures forevermore with Jesus instead of the pleasures of sin for a season.

The bible verse about the picture of Samson above is at Judges 16:19 and says And she made him sleep upon her knees, and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him. Learn a lesson from this story saints and realize that just a little sin can take you to a place where you can not even find Jesus. Wow, Samson did not even realize that the Lord had departed from him. Galatians 5:9 says a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. This should say a little sin will eventually take over and control a person. Saints lets all daily deny even the smallest sin and live sanctified, holy, and consecrated lives to Jesus while we remember daily Jesus Christ crucified with our hearts.

Here's a couple more scriptures that prove that just a little sin can make a person lost needing the prayers of other saints and a miracle from Jesus to get back in fellowship with Jesus. Ecclesiastes 10:1 says Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour; so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour. Wow, one little fly or sin can ruin a person's reputation. But, if we do sin, thank you Lord Jesus for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us all from sin and purges our consciences from dead works to serve the living God (Hebrews 9:14). Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

Another example in the bible of people that became friends of the world and lost strength was the people of Ephraim. Just look at Hosea 7:8 that says Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people. Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not; yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. Ephraim like Samson did not realize that the Lord had departed and lost strength because Ephraim tried to mix into the world. 1 John 2:15 says Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Saint reading this, instead of trying to be like the world and enjoy its pleasures for a season, you should be concerned about where you will be after this world burns up and is destroyed. Right now get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Meditate now on Matthew 10:28 that says And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him (Jesus) which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Hypocrites who try to gain the riches of this world not blessing the poor have no hope proven by Job 27:8 that says For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

OK, to end up today's bible study Brother Bob gives you a picture above of corn and oil. The corn and oil are praising Jesus. The bible tells us that nature, the animals, the earth, and the heaven constantly praise Jesus. Hosea 2:21 says And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens and they shall hear the earth and the earth shall hear the corn and the wine and the oil and they shall hear Jezreel (what God has sown). You see the wonderful progression of praise in Hosea 2:21. First Jezreel and all that God has sown praise Jesus, then the corn, wine, and oil praise Jesus, then the earth praises Jesus, and finally all the heavens praise Jesus. When you get time read Psalm 148 about how all the creation praises Jesus.

Finally, look how Job stated that we can learn from beasts, fowls, and fishes how to praise Jesus. Job 12:7 says But ask now the beasts and they shall teach thee and the fowls of the air and they shall tell thee. Or speak to the earth and it shall teach thee and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee; who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this. When the birds sing, the birds are praising Jesus. When the flowers blossom, the flowers are praising Jesus. And finally when the fish jump in the ocean, the fish are leaping for joy and praising Jesus.

To end up this bible study I give you some quotes to ponder. Take time to think about these quotes given to Brother Bob from Jesus. Vessels that are empty swim at the top, when those that are full of gold sink to the bottom. After you read this make up your mind to bless the poor. You can't take the material weath and possessions of this world to heaven. Jesus told us to give to the poor and build treasure in heaven at Mark 10:21 that will last forever. Some people when Jesus comes to catch us up to the clouds will say I'm weighted down with my house, car, gold, silver, and material possessions and can not be caught up. Brother Bob says bless the poor and give away the things of this world to the poor and fly up quickly to be with Jesus in the air soon in the clouds to be forevermore with our Lord Jesus (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Finally a quote from Luther. Luther said two sights the devil delights in. To see a wicked man merry and a saint sorrowful. But, two sights do intolerably vex him. To see a sinner mournful for his sins and to see a saint joyful in his circumstances. Luther had some great quotes.

I enjoyed writing this bible study and I pray that it blesses my friends in the many nations that regularly read Brother Bob's bible studies. The Small But Mighty Weapons Of Jesus

Saints everywhere today Brother Bob starts off his bible study by asking you to meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:4 that says For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. And also note Ephesians 6:12 that says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This bible study will show all my friends everywhere how Jesus used small but mighty weapons in history to defeat the enemy the devil. Instead of swords, spears, and guns, Jesus used everyday ordinary objects like empty pitchers, lamps, trumpets, the jawbone of an ass, a sling and five smooth stones, an ox goad, and the Word of God to defeat the devil and produce victory. Remember Romans 8:31 says What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

For today's bible study, we see how Gideon relied on the Lord Jesus to give him a victory and not the power of a large army, spears, and swords. Gideon at first had 32000 men to fight against a great multitude of Midianites. Jesus humbled Gideon and told Gideon that 32000 men was too large an army to fight against the Midianites lest Israel vaunt themselves against the Lord. Judges 7:2 says And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

The instructions the Lord Jesus gave to Gideon are stated in Judges 7:3 that says Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people 22000; and there remained 10000. Wow, now Gideon only had 10000 men to fight the great multitude of Midianites. But Jesus let Gideon know that the Lord Jesus and not Gideon was going to defeat the Midianites and said 10000 men was still too many men to fight the Midianites.

Look at the picture above and the instructions Jesus gave to Gideon at Judges 7:5: So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were 300 men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.

Jesus told Gideon to just use the 300 men that lapped the water and put their hand to their mouth to fight the Midianites and 9700 men went home. It's interesting to note that Jesus did not use the lazy people who bowed down (only looking at the water and not attentive to their surroundings) but used the alert men who kept looking around for the enemy while they lapped the water putting their hand to their mouth.

And finally, to make sure Jesus got the glory in Gideon's victory, Jesus told Gideon to only use trumpets, empty pitchers, and lamps instead of swords and spears to defeat the Midianites. Wow, when Gideon obeyed the instructions of the Lord, blowing trumpets and showing lamps that were inside the pitchers that were broken with just 300 men, the Midianites were defeated by the Lord Jesus. Saint reading this be encouraged. 2 Chronicles 20:15 says And he said, Hearken ye all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 Chronicles 20:17 further states Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

OK, take a look at the above picture of another biblical hero David who trusted in the name of the Lord Jesus and used five smooth stones that Brother Bob names JESUS with a sling instead of Saul's armour, helmet of brass, and a coat of mail to defeat the giant Goliath. The wonderful story about the above picture is at 1 Samuel 17:38 that says And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; and he armed him with a coat of mail. And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. 1 Samuel 17:45 further states Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel whom thou hast defied.

Hallelujah, David won the victory over Goliath and used a small sling and five smooth stones instead of a sword and armour to defeat the giant Goliath. Saint reading this anywhere, if people around you who persecute you daily seem like giants, remember like David we can trust in the name of the Lord Jesus to give us victory over any giant in our lives. Mark 16:17 says And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils.

Now look at the above two pictures of Shamgar and Samson and remember that Jesus can create weapons from small ordinary objects and make the devil flee and give victory to his saints. Shamgar just used a simple ox goad (an instrument to prod and poke oxen) to defeat 600 men. Samson only used a simple jawbone of an ass to defeat an army of 1000 Philistines. Judges 3:31 says And after him was Shamgar (sword) the son of Anath (answer), which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel. Judges 15:15 says And he (Samson) found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. Saint reading this you might feel that you have only a little to work with to witness for Jesus. I claim in Jesus name all my friends everywhere will be blessed to use what small objects Jesus provides them with to effectively witness to multitudes of people everywhere.

Brother Bob must testify now. Brother Bob lives in a poor neighborhood in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with an old five year old computer out of a little one bedroom apartment. Yet Brother Bob is using what Jesus has provided (the tiny apartment and the small computer in poor little Reynoldsburg, Ohio) to reach half a million people in hundreds of nations over the internet to daily lift up Jesus. Ecclesiastes 11:1 says Cast thy bread (the Word of God) upon the waters (preach Jesus everywhere over the waters of this earth by the internet): for thou shalt find it after many days (see all the lost souls saved in heaven because you witnessed Jesus on the earth).

Everyone, isn't the above picture wonderful of a little girl meditating on the Word of God. We should all be like this little girl and every day take time to meditate on the Word of God Jesus and receive life. The bible promises that if anyone daily meditates on the Word of God day and night, whatsoever that person does, I mean whatsoever that person does shall prosper. Psalm 1:2 says But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth His fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Take time to look at the following scriptures that promise life and peace to us all if we take time daily to meditate and think on the Word of God. Acts 20:32 says And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.  So, first the Word of God will build us up. Psalm 119:130 says The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:11 says Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Second, the Word stops us from sinning and makes us smart. You see since Jesus is the Word, we get wisdom from the Word to be smarter than a Harvard graduate because Jesus is wisdom. This is proven by 1 Corinthians 1:30 that says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Look at Romans 15:4 that promises peace and comfort if we daily meditate on the Word of God. Romans 15:4 says For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Also, the Word of God causes us all to have joy and rejoice. Jeremiah 15:16 says Thy words were found, and I did eat them: and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Finally, the Word of God helps us all grow. 1 Peter 2:2 says As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Job 23:12 says Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

Colossians 3:16 tells us Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Saint reading this anywhere Brother Bob encourages you to do what Colossians 3:16 says and daily meditate on the Word of God and constantly listen to and sing hymns and spiritual songs to receive strength from Jesus. Brother Bob testifies to you all that each time I write these bible studies, I have praise music and spiritual songs playing to give Brother Bob peace while he writes these bible studies. When you work at a job, listen to spiritual songs and meditate on the Word of God and receive peace and strength daily to perform any job.

.
OK, to show all my friends everywhere the power of the Word, Brother Bob had to give you all the above picture of Jesus telling the devil at Matthew 4:4 It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. And look what happened when Jesus spoke the Word to the devil and said It Is Written at Matthew 4:11 that says Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto Him. I claim in Jesus name when we all meditate daily on the Word of God, the devil will leave us all and angels will come and minister unto us.

Jesus said at Mark 9:23 If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Now remember to believe and have faith one must hear the Word of God and then all things are possible for us. Romans 10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. It's interesting to note that the jailer who guarded Paul Silas got saved after he heard the Word of God and received faith to believe in the Lord Jesus. This is proven at Acts 16:30 that says And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Now notice the next verse where the Word was preached to the jailer to help him get saved and believe). And they spake unto him the Word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

For a final thought today, everyone take a look at the picture of John the Baptist above who received all his theological training in the wilderness of Judaea and not at a manmade seminary. 1 John 2:27 tells us But, the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.

You see the Holy Ghost anointing and not man qualifies you saint reading this anywhere to go forth and preach the gospel to all people. I remember one time a man told Brother Bob he would not listen to my preaching until I got a DD (Doctor of Divinity). I told the man that Brother Bob already had his DD and that Brother Bob was a devil disturber qualified by the Holy Ghost to preach the gospel to all nations with a PHD (A pentecostal hairdoo) along with the fact that Brother Bob had his BA and was born again. Even Jesus was told by Nathaniel that he was not qualified to preach. Nathaniel doubted Jesus and said at John 1:46 about Jesus Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?

Like John the Baptist pictured above who was trained in the wilderness of Judaea from the Lord Jesus away from man, the apostle Paul also received his training from the Lord Jesus in the desert of Arabia and not from man and the scholars of Jerusalem. This is stated at Galatians 1:15 that says But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace, To reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Brother Bob agrees with John the Baptist and the apostle Paul and tells you all that I'd rather be trained by Jesus and the Holy Ghost instead of man because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. 1 Corinthians 3:19 says For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. Let all those who forevermore read this bible study choose to be taught by the true wisdom who is Jesus stated at 1 Corinthians 1:30 instead of man.

Brother Bob has enjoyed writing this bible study and I pray in Jesus name it blesses all my friends in the many nations with great joy, peace, and strength. Resurrection To A Sure Reward

How about the picture above to start out this weeks bible study of the hope that the dead in Christ will be the first to rise and be with Jesus in the clouds in the air. The bible verse that is about the picture above is 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and says For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (which is Michael called the archangel at Jude 9), and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The prophet Isaiah spoke about the above picture and stated at Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust, for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. The prophet Hosea also spoke about the above picture and stated at Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave. I will redeem them from death. O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave I will be thy destruction. Repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Saint reading this anywhere right now wave your hands and praise Jesus for destroying death by dying for you at the cross. Hebrews 2:14 tells us Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. 1 Corinthians 15:25 says For He (Jesus) must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15:55 further states O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saint reading this anywhere, praise Jesus for giving us victory over death. Jesus told us at John 8:52 If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. DL Moody described leaving this earth to be with Jesus as just a shadow of death. Remember to make a shadow you need the Light Jesus. Try it once and go into a dark basement and in complete darkness there is no shadow. But when you turn on a light, then a shadow appears. Hallelujah, Jesus is that light that is with you evermore even in thick darkness. Death is just a shadow and you can walk through a shadow and feel no harm. Isn't it comforting to know that Jesus as God dwells in even the thickest darkness. 2 Chronicles 6:1 says Then said Solomon, The Lord hath said that He would dwell in the thick darkness. Psalm 139:11 says If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Brother Bob has devoted this bible study to the soon hope of all the graves of the dead in Christ busting wide open rising to be with Jesus forevermore. You might say why Brother Bob are you so into seeing graves busting wide open. My answer to all my friends everywhere is that this is our hope of getting out of this wicked world which is not our home. Hallelujah what a wonderful day when we see all the graves of the dead in Christ opened and empty with the dead in Christ rising to be with Jesus in the air. Saint reading this don't miss that open air campmeeting with Jesus soon to come when we all will rise to be with Jesus in the clouds and worship Jesus forevermore.

The above picture is biblical and many bible verses talk about the dead in Christ leaving their graves to rise to be with Jesus forevermore. Matthew 27:52 says And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose. And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Notice they appeared unto one another and recognized one another. Hallelujah, when we all reach Zion soon, we all will recognize our loved ones that have died in Christ. And look at the promise of 1 Corinthians 6:14 that says And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power.

John 6:39 speaks about the above picture and says And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. And I must quote the wonderful bible verse listed at 1 Corinthians 15:51 that says Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed; In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Saint, reading this today please choose Jesus right now, get saved, and in your heart by faith say Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose again. One day soon, like the picture above of Lazarus rising from the dead, all the people that have died, will come out of their graves to face either the resurrection of life or the resurrection of damnation. I pray in Jesus name any saint who forevermore reads this bible will accept Jesus as Lord, get saved, and believe Jesus died on the cross and rose for them so they can face a resurrection of life. John 5:28 says Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

A similar bible verse to John 5:28 was spoken by the prophet Daniel in the old testament. Daniel 12:2 says And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake; some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Take time to meditate on this wonderful gem from the word of God at Philippians 3:20 that says For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Now saint reading this anywhere since we know Jesus is soon to come, we must live holy and sanctified lives daily so we can be alert, awake, and sober when Jesus returns to take us home to the kingdom to live in peace forevermore. Romans 13:11 says And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. 2 Corinthians 7:1 tells us Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

You might say Brother Bob is there a reward at the resurrection so that I can overlook all the persecutions for Jesus that I endure in this wicked world. Brother Bob's answer to all this is yes most definitely there is a reward soon in the kingdom for all saints who overcome persecutions and trials of this evil world. Luke 6:22 says Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company; and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy.(In a prior bible study I told saints that are persecuted for Jesus to find the nearest restroom and leap for joy and I must clarify if you are in a Walmart restroom make sure the coast is clear with no one around and then leap for joy.) (I must testify that several times in crowded places I've leaped for joy for being hated by people for Jesus and even when crowds of people saw me they were blessed) for behold your reward is great in heaven; for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Mark 10:29 also speaks of a sure reward saints in Jesus will receive at the resurrection of the dead. Mark 10:29 says And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel's; But, he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life. Luke 6:21 says Blessed are ye that weep now, for ye shall laugh. Psalm 126:5 tells us They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jesus tells us if we as saints remember and bless the poor, that there is a sure reward in the kingdom for our kindness to many poor people. Luke 14:13 says But, when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and thou shalt be blessed for they can not recompense thee, for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Saint reading this if you are being persecuted for serving Jesus and need strength read these next two bible verses and when you read them, meditate on them and in Jesus name great strength will fill all your lives. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Romans 8:18 says For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Here's some more wonderful bible verses to strengthen saints that are being persecuted because of their faith in Jesus. Psalm 9:8 says For the needy shall not alway be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise O Lord, let not man prevail; let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men; Selah. Hebrews 10:36 says For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Philippians 1:6 tells us Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Acts 24:15 says And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God and toward men.

OK, to end up this weeks bible study, Brother Bob wants to share a revelation that Jesus is the tree of life in the City of God at the new Jerusalem. I asked Jesus once Lord how can the tree of life be in the midst of the street and on either side of the river in the city of God at the same time. Hallelujah, Jesus told me I am the tree of life for I am the way, the truth, and the life and Jesus said he was in every place of the city of God. Revelation 22:2 speaks about the picture above and says In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The tree of life was also spoken about by the prophet Ezekial in the old testament at Ezekial 47:12 that says And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees (notice Ezekial stated here that Jesus represents all trees along with the tree of life) for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed. It shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary, and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Since the prophet Ezekial stated that Jesus represents all trees, I encourage all my friends everywhere to meditate on the following two bible verses that speak of various trees that are truly trees about Jesus. The prophet Hosea stated at Hosea 14:6 His branches shall spread, and His beauty shall be as the olive tree, and His smell as Lebanon. They that dwell under His shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine; the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard Him and observed Him. I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. Song of Solomon 2:3 says As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons; I sat down under His shadow with great delight, and His fruit was sweet to my taste.
