Making The Right Choices

Making The Right Choices
Choose Jesus And Live With Peace
Reject Jesus And Die With Misery

Everyone has to make a choice in this life about the Lord Jesus. Either you accept Jesus and live with peace or you reject Jesus and die with misery. Deuteronomy 30:16 speaks about choosing or rejecting our Lord Jesus; In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce (announce) unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

A Wise Statement About Everyone's Choice Between Life And Death
God's voting for you
The devil is voting against you
And you have the deciding vote
To accept the Lord Jesus and live or reject the Lord Jesus and die

Adam And Eve Had To Choose Between Life And Death

God offered Adam and Eve the choice between the tree of life or death from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God warned Adam and Eve that they would die if they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Unfortunately the devil tempted Eve who chose to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the curse of sin came upon the world. This sin blocked man from the tree of eternal life until Jesus removed our sins at the cross of Calvary and offered lost sinners His perfect righteousness, salvation, and eternal life.

Like Adam and Eve, we all have a choice to make between life with Jesus or death with the devil. Jesus will lead you to heaven and the devil will lead you to hell. Notice the contrast between heaven and hell. In heaven saved saints will be shouting and rejoicing with perfect food, perfect weather, perfect atmosphere, perfect family, perfect mansions, enjoying Jesus forever with no troubles or problems. In hell and the lake of fire there is weeping and gnashing of teeth with torment and misery forever.

When you make your choice to accept or reject Jesus there is no middle ground (in other words making no decision to accept or reject Jesus amounts to a rejection of Jesus). Jesus said at Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Jesus also said that Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters (you can't serve Jesus and the devil at the same time; You have to choose to either serve Jesus or the devil): for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (the fading riches offered by the devil).

I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will choose salvation and life with Jesus right now. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Joshua 24:15 speaks about the choice between life with Jesus or death with the devil. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Why Accepting Eternal Life With Jesus Is The Best Choice For Anyone
Note the benefits below that Jesus offers who is better than anything on this earth
I've never met a person that regretted having Jesus in their life

In infancy Jesus startled a king; In boyhood Jesus puzzled learned doctors
In manhood Jesus ruled the course of nature; He walked on the water
And told the sea to lay down and go to sleep

Jesus healed multitudes without medicine and made no charges for His services
Jesus never wrote a book and yet all the libraries of the world
could not hold all the books about Him

Jesus never wrote a song yet He has furnished the theme
for more songs than all the songwriters combined together
Jesus never founded a college yet all the schools together
cannot boast of as many students as He has

Jesus never practiced medicine and yet He has healed
more broken hearts than all the doctors have healed broken bodies
Great men have come and gone
But Jesus stands high above every man that ever lived

The Choice Between The Resurrection Of Life
And the Resurrection Of Damnation

John 5:28 says that everyone has to make a choice to accept Jesus and receive the resurrection of life or reject Jesus and receive the resurrection of damnation. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. After this life on earth, everyone that ever died will live again forever somewhere, sometime, at some place. If they accept Jesus, they will be in peaceful heaven forever; If they reject Jesus, they will be tormented with the devil forever in the lake of fire.

Anyone that accepts Jesus will be blessed by the first resurrection of life. Revelation 20:6 says Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. But all the dead people that rejected Jesus will be cast into the lake of fire at the Great White Throne Judgment after the Millennium and experience the resurrection of damnation.

The Choice Between The Bema Judgment Seat Of Christ
And The Great White Throne Judgment

If anyone accepts the Lord Jesus, they will appear before the Bema Judgment Seat of Christ. The Bema Judgment Seat of Christ is not to determine amounts of punishment but amounts of rewards. When saints get saved, their salvation is fixed the very second that they get saved with a fixed destination to heaven. The Bema Judgment Seat of Christ is about service with rewards or loss of rewards and not about salvation (2 Corinthians 5:10). On the other hand, if anyone rejects the Lord Jesus, they will appear before the Great White Throne Judgment that only determines amounts of punishment (Revelation 20:11-15). All the unbelievers that rejected Jesus will be cast into the lake of fire at the Great White Throne Judgment.

Finally note that everyone has a choice between heaven and hell that is eternal. Everyone's choice during this vapour of life on earth determines where you will spend eternity. Reject Jesus and go to hell with no exit. Accept Jesus who is the one door to heaven and receive eternal life with peace. Jesus said at John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. My prayer in Jesus name is that anyone that reads the warnings in this bible study will choose Jesus, get saved, and receive eternal life with peace.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel,
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Be Like Desmond Doss And Pray Please Lord Help Me Get One More

The Story Of How Medic Desmond Doss Saved 75 Injured Soldiers
Be Like Desmond Doss And Pray Please Lord Help Me Get One More
Mel Gibson Made The 2016 Movie Hacksaw Ridge About Desmond Doss

Desmond Doss was motivated to serve his country during World War II after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Desmond refused to touch a gun per his religious beliefs. Instead he wanted to serve his country as a medic. The army viewed Doss as a conscientious objector. But Doss said that he was a conscientious cooperater. Unfortunately his fellow infantrymen and drill sergeant did not see it that way.

When Doss arrived for basic training at Fort Jackson South Carolina, he quickly became an outcast from the rest of the recruits. His slight stature and shyness did not improve the situation and many soldiers believed that he would be a major liability in battle. Desmond Doss was nicknamed "the coward" and faced regular beatings from his fellow enlisted men and verbal taunting from his commanding officers and drill sergeant. The goal was to wash him out of boot camp. And everyone was joining in.

Desmond encouraged himself daily by saying Luke 21:17-19: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. Private Doss told everyone I want to be like Jesus in saving lives instead of taking lives. This is the reason I joined the Army to serve as a medic. After a tortuous bootcamp experience, Doss eventually made it to the field of battle as a medic in Okinawa, Japan.

In April 1945 Private Doss and his fellow soldiers fought the Japanese at the Maeda Escarpment pictured above (a battlefield located on top of a sheer 400 foot cliff). The site became known as Hacksaw Ridge. A treacherous rope ladder was the only way up the sheer cliff. The Americans stormed the ridge and took the escarpment for less than a day. The next morning the Japanese emerged from catacomb tunnels and drove the US soldiers off the escarpment and back down the rope ladder. Hundreds of wounded soldiers were left behind. Medic Doss was faced with a decision to either abandon the ridge or risk losing his life saving his fellow servicemen. He chose the latter and reentered the battlefield searching for the lost and wounded.

Desmond Doss was a hero that risked his life for 12 hours successfully saving 75 wounded soldiers. When Doss would find a soldier alive, he would take him back to the edge of the cliff and hoist him down to safety using ropes. Pictured above Doss demonstrated the double bowline knot that he used to lower 75 men down Hacksaw Ridge to safety. Every time Desmond would save a man's life, he would pray out loud, "Please Lord help me get one more. Help me get one more." This went on all day and all night. In the end, Private Doss saved 75 men (including wounded Japanese soldiers) before saving himself.

A Japanese soldier testified that when he could have killed Doss, the bullets would not come out of his rifle. Jesus did not allow any stray bullets to hit Doss for 12 straight hours while he did this miraculous task. Private Doss rescued the men that persecuted him at boot camp. Many of these soldiers had Doss' heroics to thank for their very lives. Doss "the coward" became the bravest man at Hacksaw Ridge. Doss' commanding officer said that he had misjudged Doss and wondered if he could ever forgive him. Doss forgave his captain who was rescued by Doss and they became the best of friends. This captain told Doss on the TV show This Is Your Life, "Doss I owe you my life."

Eventually the Americans tried to take Hacksaw Ridge again. While they waited to climb the wall, pictured above a radio call broke the silence before the assault with a General asking "Why haven't you started climbing the ridge?" The captain answered "We're waiting for Private Doss to finish his prayers." Hacksaw Ridge was eventually taken and the Japanese were defeated a few months later.

After Doss returned to America, he became the first conscientious objector to be awarded the Medal of Honor. President Truman was so excited to meet Doss that he walked right up to him to shake his hand instead of waiting for the soldier to come to him during the awards ceremony. Fellow soldiers told this story about their gratitude to Desmond Doss. After Doss lost his personal bible on the battlefield, hundreds of his comrades risked their lives and found Doss' bible on the battlefield. All the soldiers had great joy when Doss rejoiced and smiled after receiving his found bible.

Like Desmond Doss Pray Please Lord Help Me Get One More Lost Soul
Help Me Get One More Soul Saved For Jesus On This World's Battlefield
Like Brother Bob On This Internet Tell People Everywhere

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

Say The Prayer Below Inspired By Desmond Doss' Prayer
Please Lord Help Me Get One More

Lord Jesus give us strength to serve you one more day
Help us preach your gospel one more time and win one more soul to the Lord
Give every mother strength to comfort her children one more time

Help those called to preach to prepare one more sermon that is faithful to the truth
Enable us to encourage one more brother or sister to overcome the devil
Help us to visit and encourage one more neighbor, widow, or orphan
Empower every saint to offer up one more prayer for a rebellious son or parent

One more soul to win; One more discouraged person to lift up
One more need to meet; One more truth to teach; One more battle to win
Lord Jesus give us your grace and strength one more time and forever
to shine your glory to this lost world of sinners

Be Like Desmond Doss And Pray Please Lord Help Me Get One More

After an interview, Desmond Doss described what kept him going for 12 straight hours to save the lives of 75 Americans (including wounded Japanese soldiers). He humbly said "I was praying the whole time, Please Lord help me get one more, Help me get one more." This should be the mindset of every christian trying to win souls for Jesus. Billions of lost sinners on this earth need someone willing to say Please Lord help me get one more soul saved while they offer salvation with Jesus everywhere.

Mark 8:36 says For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? In other words one saved soul is worth more than all the billions of dollars, palaces, gold, or silver on this earth. Jesus also told us about the precious value of one saved soul at Luke 15:10 that says Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth (in other words Jesus Himself rejoices in the presence of the angels when a soul is saved). After reading this are you willing to be like Desmond Doss and pray Please Lord Jesus help me get one more lost soul saved? Give me the strength Lord Jesus to go everywhere and tell people all over this earth about salvation with Jesus.

Be like Jesus when you witness to save lost sinners. Jesus considered every lost soul precious (no matter how wicked they lived). Jesus was willing to die on the cross and shed His precious blood to purchase and redeem lost souls from the eternal torment of hell. Mark 10:45 says For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many.

How foolish it is to play Russian roulette with a lost soul. How wasteful for us to spend our lives on things that won't have lasting eternal value. We cannot gain the world, and even if we could, not only would it not satisfy us, but we could not keep it. Many have tried, but all you will ever gain is a little bit of this world. How cheaply some people sell out. 1 Timothy 6:6 says But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

If you want to know how much you really have, then add up every thing you possess that money can not buy and death cannot take away. Obey Jesus' command at Mark 10:21 and build up treasure in heaven by giving to the poor. Finally consider the reality of eternity and lost souls all around you that will either spend eternity with Jesus in heaven or eternity in hell and the lake of fire.

You might be the only Jesus that anyone sees or hears on this earth to get saved and escape the torment of hell. Paul said at 2 Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. Like Desmond Doss and Paul let's all say 1 Corinthians 9:19: For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. Be a good soldier for Jesus like Desmond Doss and obey 2 Timothy 2:3: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength. Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World

This Sermon Was Inspired After Listening To Pastor Steve Cowgill

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
1) Christians Have A Peculiar Birth

First christians are peculiar to the world because they have a peculiar birth. A sinner becomes a christian and born again by choice. No one has a choice about his first physical birth. Brother Bob does not remember when he came out of his mother's womb on July 21, 1962. But Brother Bob remembers when he got saved and born again on June 2, 1983 after he saw his father survive from drowning on a canoe. The next day when my dad said Jesus is real, Brother Bob got saved. Getting saved with Jesus was the best decision Brother Bob ever made during his life.

Like Brother Bob all christians have a peculiar birth by choice that they remember unlike their physical birth that is not remembered. Christians remember when they got saved, where they got saved, how they got saved, and why they got saved. The reason sinners get saved is to escape the everlasting torment of hell fire. Right now make a choice to get saved and receive peace with our Lord Jesus. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

1 Peter 2:9 says that christians are peculiar to the world. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praise of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Getting born again with Jesus is a choice made by sinners that is peculiar to the world. John 1:12 speaks about a christian's peculiar birth by choice saying But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Here are some more scriptures that speak about a christian's peculiar birth by choice. Romans 10:13 says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. John 6:37 says All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. People can reject and cast you out, but Jesus will never cast out anyone that comes to Him by faith. Finally Joshua 24:15 speaks about the christian's peculiar birth by choice saying And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

And Sing The Words Below For The Song
I've Had A Birth I Can't Remember And One I Can't Forget

When I came into this old world; I just can't recall
I don't remember anything about my birth at all

But one night down on my knees in prayer; Oh I never will regret
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

Unto the world it made no difference; Some even frowned
But the angels rejoiced when my name was written down

Unworthy of His mercy; Still He paid my debt
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

It never made the morning paper; It never made the evening news
When I took off this old man and I put on the new
My sins were cast into forgetfulness far as east is from the west
I've had a birth I can't remember and one I can't forget

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
2) Christians Have A Peculiar Book

Second christians are peculiar to the world because they have a peculiar book called the 1611 King James (KJV) bible. The KJV bible is peculiar because it's absolutely perfect with no mistakes. The 1611 KJV bible is God's infallible, inerrant, inspired, indestructable, perfect, and preserved Word of God without one contradiction, mistake, or error in it described by Psalm 19:7; The law of the Lord (KJV bible) is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. Proverbs 30:5 says Every Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Like the girl pictured above, if you read your KJV bible before people in a restaurant or carry your KJV bible for all to see at Walmart, Sam's Club, or any downtown crowded city street, you'll learn quickly why the KJV bible is peculiar. You're guaranteed to get some stares and glares. People won't pay attention to anyone carrying a newspaper downtown, but they'll notice you carrying a KJV bible. It's good to carry a KJV bible, but just the anointing on a man's life will get him noticed. Proverbs 18:16 says A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Peter and John's anointing made room for them and got them noticed. Acts 4:13 says Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The KJV bible (that is the Lord Jesus) is peculiar because it never changes and lasts forever. The Lord Jesus said at Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Jesus said at Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it's alive and gives life. Hebrews 4:12 says For the Word of God is quick (alive), and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Jesus said at John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Choose to daily read and memorize the KJV bible because it is the only book that has survived from the beginning of time and will remain forever in the kingdom of God.

Psalm 12:6 says The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. The 1611 KJV bible is peculiar because it's the seventh perfect translation that God will keep and preserve from this generation forever. There were six prior bibles (Hebrew, Syriac, Aramaic, Greek, Latin, and German) before the perfect seventh English KJV bible; There were six prior English bibles (Tyndale, Matthew, Coverdale, Geneva, Bishops, and Great Bible) before the perfect seventh English KJV bible. Any other subsequent bible translation after the 1611 KJV bible is flawed and not perfect. The Philadelphia church that existed when the 1611 KJV bible was created kept and preserved the KJV bible according to Revelation 3:10: Because thou hast kept the Word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it records history before it happens. The man of God at 1 Kings 13:1-3 spoke about Josiah before Josiah was born. The man of God said at 1 Kings 13:2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the Lord; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.

Tell somebody "Who is the greatest king that ever lived beside Jesus?" Most people will say David, Solomon, or Hezekiah.  But outside of Jesus, Josiah is the greatest king to ever live on this earth. 2 Kings 23:25 says And like unto him (Josiah) was there no king before him, that turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him. The man of God's prophecy happened. Josiah was born, became king, and burned down idols, while he stopped sodomy same sex marriage and condemned the innocent killing of babies (abortion in our modern society).

Isaiah in the KJV bible spoke about Cyrus before Cyrus was born. During the Babylonian captivity Isaiah said a man named Cyrus would free the Jews from Babylonian captivity and allow the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. This occurred after Babylonian king Belshazzar drank wine from the golden vessels of the temple. After Belshazzar saw the writing on the wall Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin, (God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians), the kingdom of Babylon was divided and given to Cyrus of the Medes and Persians. Then Cyrus allowed the Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. Isaiah accurately spoke about Cyrus hundreds of years earlier at Isaiah 44:28-Isaiah 45:1-7.

The KJV bible is peculiar because it declares that man is sinful and only the Lord Jesus is perfect. This is peculiar because an arrogant proud man would not declare that man is sinful. But many KJV bible verses declare that man is sinful needing a Saviour named Jesus for salvation. Isaiah 64:6 says But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says There is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. DL Moody said I've never met a man that gave me more trouble than myself. Every morning when you look in the mirror at yourself say "Now what are you up to today."

Here are some more scriptures that declare that man is sinful from the peculiar KJV bible. Psalm 39:5 says Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Romans 3:10 says As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
3) Christians Have Peculiar Behavior

Third christians are peculiar to the world because they have peculiar behavior that displays kindness to lost sinners by a holy lifestyle. After salvation 2 Corinthians 7:1 says Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Titus 2:12 says Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Christians need to be examples of holiness to lost sinners to win souls to Jesus. Christians are the only example of Jesus anyone ever sees. 2 Corinthians 3:2 says Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. In other words christians shouldn't curse, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and pot, fornicate, and gossip. Christians should be peculiar to the world with behavior that shows no bitterness or envy. Christians should daily practice Matthew 5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Christians have peculiar behavior. They don't act like the world, dress like the world, or look like the world. If you get your thrills from the world, you are walking away from Jesus. If the world rejects you, you are getting closer to Jesus. James 4:4 says Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. It's easy to flow downstream with the ungodly world's current. Instead go upstream against the world's current and live for Jesus daily. An old Japanese missionary used to say that the duty of every christian in any age is to discern the spirit of the age and then to go diametrically opposed to it.

Don't be like Peter who warmed himself by the fire of this world and denied Jesus three times. Mark 14:54 says And Peter followed Him (Jesus) afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. Peter denied that he knew Jesus to a maid on the porch, a damsel in the palace, and then to Malchus (who remembered that Jesus healed his ear that was injured by Peter). And after the cock crew twice, Peter denied Jesus thrice.

You had a preachin' chicken and a chicken preacher face to face. All this happened because Peter got too close to the warmth of this fading world. Don't be like Peter and get too comfortable with this fading world where you fail to serve and witness Jesus to lost sinners. Mark 14:71 says But he (Peter) began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man (Jesus) of whom ye speak. And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
4) Christians Fight A Peculiar Battle

Fourth christians are peculiar to the world because they fight a peculiar battle. Christians use unusual weapons to fight the devil. Christians' weapons are not guns, knives, hand grenades, or fists. The weapons christians use to fight the devil are the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, prayer, and the Word of God. Christians fight a spiritual warfare with spiritual weapons (not physical weapons). 2 Corinthians 10:3 says For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Ephesians 6:12 says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The most powerful weapon against the devil is the blood of Jesus. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Every day say in Jesus name send the angels to bind the devil around me and send him to the pit. Then by faith say in Jesus name have the angels of God send (loose) the blood of Jesus over my home, car, job, and wherever I travel every day. The blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8) is a fence of protection that keeps the devil away from christians.

Be a good soldier for Jesus daily and fight the good fight of faith. 2 Timothy 2:3 says Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Obey James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Rejoice and say Proverbs 28:1: The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Use the name of Jesus to cast out devils. Mark 16:17 says And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils.

Why Christians Are Peculiar To The World
5) Christians Receive Peculiar Blessings

Fifth christians are peculiar to the world because they receive peculiar blessings. Proverbs 10:22 says The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 28:20 says A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Rejoice and claim the blessing promised by Ephesians 3:20: Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Christians might be peculiar to the world but christians are precious treasures and jewels to God. The Lord Jesus said at Malachi 3:17 And they (christians) shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Quit Your Fretting

Quit Your Fretting
1) The Cure For Worry Is Faith

Don't worry; Quit your fretting. Psalm 37:1-8 says fret not three times. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. In other words keep your eyes on Jesus and off the people. Wait on Jesus to fix your problems and worry will disappear. Whatever you need just ask for it in Jesus name and Jesus will fix the problem. Jesus said at John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name (Jesus), that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Psalm 37:4 says Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Jeremiah 32:17 tells us that there is nothing too hard with God. Ah Lord God. behold thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Jesus said at Matthew 19:26 With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. When man says no, God says yes. Jesus can fix anything by faith.

Psalm 37:7 says Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. In other words the cure for fretting and worrying is resting and trusting in Jesus. Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

When you rest, wait, and trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit will speak to you with answers to your problems. Isaiah 30:21 describes how the Holy Spirit speaks to us saying And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Don't Hurry, Worry, And Bury
Instead Cure Worry By Faith
Worry Ends Where Faith Begins

Keep Moving and Working For Jesus And You Won't Worry
Every Day Pray, Study The Word Of God, And Attend Church When You Can
This Will Allow You To Rest In Jesus Free From Worry

They say that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. Keep moving and working for Jesus and you won't worry. Isaiah 26:3 says Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee (Lord Jesus): because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. Proverbs 23:21 says For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Blessed Is The Man Who Is Too Busy To Worry In The Daytime
And Too Sleepy To Worry At Night

With Jesus we will find rest and peace to overcome worry. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus also said at Mark 6:31 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.

Quit Your Fretting
2) Why Worry When You Can Pray

Worry is a conversation you have with yourself
about things you can not change
Prayer is a conversation you have with God
about things He can change

No one can pray and worry at the same time
When we worry, we aren't praying
When we pray, we aren't worrying

Don't Worry About Temporary Problems In This World
Instead Be Concerned About Where You Will Spend Eternity
After This Momentary Vapour Of Life On This Earth

A survey asked Americans to say what worries them the most. More than 70% said that they worried about wasting too much time watching TV and chatting for hours on facebook and cellphones. Some worried about not reading enough books. Some worried about failing to attend church and not being active enough in community affairs. But no one was concerned about their personal sins and a future judgment determining where they would spend eternity (either in peaceful heaven with Jesus or in hell tormented forever after rejecting Jesus). Don't be like most people who spend four years in college studying for a career that lasts about fifty years and fail to take five minutes to decide where they will spend eternity. Decide right now to get saved and spend eternity with Jesus in peaceful heaven forever. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

3) Overcome Worry By Daily Giving Your Problems To Jesus
Because No Matter What Happens We Win With Jesus

Overcome worry by daily giving your problems to Jesus because no matter what happens we win with Jesus. Psalm 55:22 says Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Let go and let God. Every day by faith say I am crucified with Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:20) and see your problems crucified and destroyed on the cross of Calvary with Jesus that is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). 1 Peter 5:7 says Casting all your care upon Him (Jesus); for He careth for you. And note the payoff stated at 1 Peter 5:10: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Christians don't need to worry because we always win with Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. Because we win with Jesus, step out in faith without worrying by letting your light for Jesus shine everywhere while you travel and preach God's Word wherever God leads you trusting Jesus to keep you safe from danger at all times. Obey Matthew 5:16 that says Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

3) Some Blessed Sayings To Help You Overcome Worry

An entire sea of water can't sink a ship
unless it gets inside of the ship
Similarly, the negativity of the world can't put you down
unless you allow it to get inside of you

Birds can fly around your head in the air
Just don't let them make a nest there

You can't change the past
But you can ruin the present
By worrying about the future

Worry is the advanced interest paid on troubles that seldom come

Worry is like a rocking chair
It will give you something to do but it won't get you anywhere

George Muller said
The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith
The beginning of faith is the end of anxiety

4) To Overcome Worry Take No Thought About Your Needs
Just Trust Jesus Daily For Your Needs
And Like The Sparrows Jesus Will Fix Everything And Take Care Of You

To overcome worry take no thought about your needs. Jesus will provide all your needs if you daily deny sin and walk with Jesus. Jesus said at Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls (birds) of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? It's amazing how Jesus feeds millions of birds every day. Jesus told us that we are much better than birds and that He will feed us daily and take care of all our needs. Jesus told us at Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 6:28 says And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

A Blessed Poem Encouraging Us Not To Worry
By Taking No Thought For Our Needs

Just as noisy common sparrows can be found most anywhere
Unto some just worthless creatures; If they perish who would care

Yet our heavenly Father numbers every creature great and small
Caring even for the sparrows; Marking when to earth they fall

If his childrens' hairs are numbered; Why should we be filled with fear
He has promised all that's needful; And in trouble to be near

Don't Worry And Complain Like A Monk Who Complained For 30 Years
Instead Take No Thought For Your Needs And Thank Jesus For All Your Needs

A monk agreed to live in a monastery for 30 years
and only say two words every 10 years
Note that a monastery is a home for unwed fathers

After 10 years the monk said Bed Hard
After 20 years the monk said Food Bad
After 30 years the monk said I Quit
After 30 years everyone said I'm glad that monk's gone
All he did was complain for 30 years
