Why Children Receive Jesus Better Than Adults

Make Laws That Allow Prayer And Bible Reading In Schools Everywhere

     Dr. MR DeHann (founder of the Radio Bible Class and Editor of Our Daily Bread) once quoted these startling figures of the last century. After the age of 35, only one person in 50000 receives Jesus. After 45, only one in 300000. After 75, only one in 700000. Most people after the age of 45 are set in their ways and usually reject Jesus. Most of the people that got saved after Brother Bob witnessed Jesus to them were under the age of 25. And most of them were waiters and waitresses at Cracker Barrel restaurants that Brother Bob witnessed Jesus to during his travels preaching. 

     This is why parents and preachers need to tell young people everywhere under the age of 25 about Jesus. Most schools and teachers in America have removed Jesus from the classes. Children don't pray anymore in schools and teachers and children are not allowed to have bibles in their classes. But prisoners are allowed to have bibles in jail. This is backwards and wrong because if bibles were allowed in schools, the children would stay out of jail and live for Jesus. The only hope for children today is for parents and preachers to preach Jesus to them and win souls. 

     Remember the words of our Lord Jesus at Matthew 19:14. Suffer (allow) little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Don't allow the devil to prevent children from hearing about Jesus. Make laws that allow prayer and bible reading in schools everywhere for children. Speak out against laws that remove prayer and bibles from schools. When prayer and bibles were allowed in schools before 1960, there was no violence or school shootings. Tell children to pray in school and read their bibles without distracting others.

      A preacher once said that of the 253 converts that he remembered-Saved under 20 years of age-138, Between 20 and 30 years-85, Between 30 and 40 years-22, Between 40 and 50 years-4, Between 50 and 60 years-3, Between 60 and 70 years-1. But remember there is always hope for anyone to be saved while they are breathing. I've seen 70, 80, and 90 year olds get gloriously saved after years of witnessing. 

     Don't quit witnessing Jesus to everyone of all ages. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. You might get slandered and persecuted by lost sinners. But rejoice because our temporary persecutions will be forgotten when we rejoice in heaven forever for sinners that got saved by our persistent witnessing about the Lord Jesus. 

     Be like DL Moody who would not go to bed one night of his life unless he talked to at least one soul that day about becoming a christian and being born again. Every day he would not go to bed unless he confronted a human being somewhere in his path of life about their need to be saved. And DL Moody led over 1000000 people to Jesus all over this earth. 

     Luke 15:10 says Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. In other words the Lord Jesus and innumerable angels rejoice when one sinner repents and gets saved. James 5:20 says Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. Jude 22 says And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

During Jesus' Triumphal Entry Children Praised Jesus And Adults Complained

     During Jesus' final week in Jerusalem when he entered the Eastern Gate on a colt on Palm Sunday (called the Triumphal Entry) adults and religious leaders grew increasingly hostile, but children openly worshipped the Lord Jesus. Matthew 21:15 tells us that children filled the temple courts shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David." The chief priests and scribes became indignant and angry. They asked Jesus to silence the children. Jesus defended the children's perfected praise and told the adults if the children did not praise Him that the stones would praise him.

     Matthew 21:15 says And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Luke 19:40 says And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Like little children, give the Lord Jesus a sacrifice of praise and ignore persecutions from adults and this world. Don't let a rock outpraise you. Obey Hebrews 13:15 that says By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Like Little Children Worship the Lord Jesus With Perfected Praise

To Still The Enemy And Avenger Devil

     Notice the picture above and open your bibles to Psalm 8:2 and Matthew 21:16. Let's learn some blessed revelations from these scriptures. Psalm 8:2 says Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Matthew 21:16 says And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? Let's place the two scriptures together like a puzzle and realize that Jesus told us the correct way to say Psalm 8:2. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

     The little child in the picture above is praising Jesus with a perfect praise that stills and destroys the devil. Saints I encourage you to be like this little child and praise the Lord Jesus to still and destroy the devil. James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jesus said at Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Praise is a weapon that defeats the devil. Jehoshaphat sang praises to the Lord Jesus and defeated the devil and his enemies. Keep praising the Lord Jesus and the devil will flee and be destroyed.

Jesus Did Not Let The Adult Disciples 

Stop Parents From Bringing Children To Praise Jesus

     Jesus did not let the adult disciples stop parents from bringing children to praise Jesus. The disciples closest to Jesus often misunderstood his mission, while children simply wanted to be near Jesus. Parents brought young children and infants to Jesus to be touched and receive a blessing. The children were eager and receptive to Jesus' presence. The disciples (the adult inner circle) rebuked the parents and tried to drive the children away. Jesus was much displeased with the disciples and told them that they needed to receive the kingdom of God as a little child.

     Mark 10:13 explains how children receive Jesus better than adults. And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Receive Jesus Like Little Children

And Become The Greatest In The Kingdom Of Heaven

     The adult disciples were arguing about who would be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. When Jesus called a little child to stand among the disciples, the child came willingly and received Jesus. Jesus told the adult disciples to humble themselves like this little child to become the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 

     Matthew 18:1 explains how children receive Jesus better than adults. At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him the midst of them, And he said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. What Is The Value Of A Soul?

     Matthew 16:26 gives us the answer to the question What is the value of a soul? The blessed scripture says For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? In other words the value of a soul is worth more than all the silver, gold, riches, money, and real estate in this world. A saved soul in peace forever with Jesus in heaven is worth more than the wealth of the richest billionaire on this earth. 

     A rich man named Dives was one of the wealthiest men to ever live and learned about the value of a soul. The bible tells us that Dives died and went to hell after he refused to help a begger named Lazarus by denying him a crumb of bread. Because Dives did not give Lazarus a crumb of bread on the earth, God did not give Dives a drop of water in hell. When Lazarus died he was comforted in paradise with father Abraham. When Dives died he was tormented in hell and the lake of fire forever. 

     After Dives died, his five brothers were fighting over who would inherit his wealth. Now note that the rich man Dives in hell wasn't worried about his real estate or his billions of dollars on earth. Dives was only concerned about the souls of his five lost brothers on earth. His five brothers souls were worth more to Dives than all the billions of his dollars and earthly wealth. Truly Dives learned that what shall it profit his five brothers if they gained the whole world and lost their souls. 

     Dives said at Luke 16:27 I pray thee therefore, father (Abraham), that thou wouldest send him (Lazarus) to my fathers house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. 

     The following scriptures tell us that the value of a soul is worth more than all the fading riches and billions of dollars in this troubled world. Jesus said at Luke 12:15 Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Proverbs 11:4 says Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. The infinite value of a saved soul with Jesus is greater than all the material wealth, gold, silver, and billions of dollars in this fading world. With Jesus, saved christians will live in a jasper city of pure gold clear glass and walk on a street of pure gold transparent glass, surrounded by a rainbow of precious valuable gemstones that measures 3000 miles. The valuable large precious gemstones in heaven are greater than anything on this earth.

     Praise the Lord Jesus for creating an infinite universe that is unsearchable. The sun is so large that it could contain 1.3 million earths. And there are stars in space so large like Antares that they could easily hold 343 million suns (or an astonishing 453 trillion earths) inside the hollow shell of Antares. The giant star pictured above named Antares is said to be so large that if it were a hollow ball and the sun and earth were put inside it, the earth could continue its orbit around the sun and never come even close to the outer edge of Antares. If the sun were a single grain of sand, Antares would be a sphere roughly the size of a large beach ball. The earth would be a microscopic speck completely invisible in comparison to the sun and Antares.

     And note that the earth is traveling at a speed of 67000 miles an hour around the sun while the earth's equator is turning at 1000 miles an hour while the earth wobbles every year at a 22 degree angle. In other words the earth is moving 18.5 miles every time I snap my finger around the sun. And all this is happening while the earth revolves around the sun once every year at a distance of 93 million miles away. And while all this is occurring the sun and the eight planets of our milky way galaxy, (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto that is now called a dwarf planet) are moving north at a speed of 43000 miles an hour.

     Search Google for this information and you will be amazed at these facts causing you to praise the Lord Jesus for His infinite power and wisdom that is unsearchable. Romans 11:33 says O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God. How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out. Psalm 147:4 says He (the Lord Jesus) telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names (there are billions of stars and the Lord Jesus knows the names of every star). Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite. Jesus and God's Word is not boring and when we get to heaven we will learn infinite wisdom about Jesus forever with joy.

     And what's even more amazing is that NASA sent Voyager 1 and II to the outer limits of the milky way galaxy past Neptune. Voyager 1 has not yet passed the orbit of Pluto. Notice the picture above taken by Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990 from beyond Neptune of the earth from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) where the earth is just a pale blue dot. This picture reminds us how small and special our planet is among the vastness of infinite space. Yet the Lord Jesus loved us, came down to earth from the third heaven past the milky way galaxy, and died on the cross of Calvary so we could escape this troubled world and get saved. 

     Currently Voyager I has reached the outer limits of the milky way galaxy and is in interstellar space between the next closest major spiral galaxy called Andromeda. Right now praise the Lord Jesus for all the galaxies that He created. There are other worlds and galaxies and life that exist outside of our earth. This is proven by Hebrews 1:2 that says (God) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds (not just our world but many worlds). Right now praise our Lord Jesus and like David say Psalm 139:6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Choose To Rejoice And Praise Jesus

Rejoice About How The Mercy Of God Is Measured

     Rejoice about how the mercy of God is measured. Psalm 103:11 says For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. First let's look at the height of God's mercy to lost sinners. The hubble telescope has viewed billions of stars above us that are 200 million light years away (note that a light year is 5.9 trillion miles). It has also viewed galaxies 50 million light years away. But to find out the height of God's mercy to lost sinners, one must travel above the stars and galaxies to God's mercy seat in the third heaven's kingdom of God.

     Jesus showed us the height of God's mercy when He traveled from the throne room of the third heaven and came down past the stars and galaxies to this earth. Jesus became a man and died for our sins on the cross of Calvary. Then Jesus took His own blood that He shed at the cross all the way back to the third heaven past the stars and galaxies and put His own blood on God's mercy seat so every sinner could have mercy and get their sins removed forever. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

     Psalm 103:12 also measures the mercy of God. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He (Jesus) removed our transgressions from us. Notice that the bible does not say that God's mercy is measured from the north to the south. This is because there are end points at the North and South Poles on this earth. But there are no end points to the east or to the west. 

     When you go east, you go east with no end. When you go west, you go west with no end. God has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west where they can never be found. One day the devil went east looking for our sins and kept walking east and couldn't find our sins. Then the devil went west looking for our sins and kept walking west and couldn't find our sins. And the devil will never find christians' past, present, or future sins because Jesus removed them as far as the east is from the west. To sum it all up, God's mercy is infinite with Jesus vertically from the earth to God's mercy seat in the third heaven and horizontally from the east to the west.

I Said A Prayer For You Today

     I said a prayer for you today and know God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart although he spoke no word. I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I know you wouldn't mind. I asked him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.

     I asked that he'd be near you at the start of every new day. To grant you health and blessings and friends to bless your way. I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small. But it was for his loving care I prayed for most of all.
