Numbers In The Bible

Revelations About Numbers In The Bible

God speaks to us by numbers in the bible. Each number represents a message that Jesus wants everyone to understand. This bible study will look at the first 13 numbers (and the number 40) and explain blessed hidden mysteries about these numbers. The Lord Jesus reveals mysteries in the bible by using numbers to convey revelations to us. Read this bible study and learn how each number conveys blessed messages about our Lord Jesus Christ in the KJV bible.

The Number 1 Represents Unity Or One Unit

Whenever you see the number 1 in the bible it represents unity or one unit. Notice all the 1s in the bible verse Genesis 11:1 about the Tower Of Babel that says And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. One represents unity or one unit several times in Ephesians 4:4-6 that says There is one body and one spirit even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is above all and through all and in you all.

By faith believe that the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost are one. In other words Jesus is one with God the Father which makes Jesus God. To be saved you must recognize Jesus to be God in the flesh and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again while you repent. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will get saved when they read this.

Don't try to use your mind to understand how Jesus can be God. Become like a little child and by faith with your heart accept the truth that Jesus is one with the Father and is God in the flesh. Don't try to reason in your mind how the Trinity of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. Just believe it by faith with your heart because the Trinity is a mystery that must be accepted by faith. If I pour water into three different cups there are three different cups but the same water. Likewise, the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost are three separate entities but are one.

The Number 2 Represents Union

Whenever you see the number 2 in the bible it represents the union of two coming together as one. For example we see the union of marriage where a man and a woman become one flesh seen at Mark 10:9 that says What therefore God hath joined together let not man put asunder. And if two people agree in prayer for anything to further God's will, it shall be done for them by the Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 says Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Remember, prayer is important to receive blessings from the Lord Jesus. The bible says we have not because we ask not. Jesus said Hitherto have ye not asked anything in my name. Ask that you might receive that your joy may be full. And the more people that agree in prayer will make the prayer stronger and hasten it's manifestation. Unfortunately most people prefer to hear preaching instead of attending a prayer meeting. I'd rather teach one man to pray than ten men to preach. I challenge anyone reading this to gather groups of people in prayer and watch how fast God answers the prayers with many blessings. Instead of wasting your time on a cellphone texting, watching facebook and youtube all day, meet with groups of people daily in prayer and God will bless you greatly.

The Number 3 Represents Trinity And Completeness

The number 3 in the bible represents Trinity and Completeness. God is a Trinity (1 God with 3 parts-Father, Son, and Holy Ghost). Man is a trinity (1 person with 3 parts-body, soul, and spirit). The Trinity about God having 3 parts was first mentioned in the beginning of time at Genesis 1:26: And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness. Notice God didn't say Let me make man in my image after my likeness. God is a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) that is One God with 3 parts.

We also see the Trinity of God in the picture above when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Matthew 3:16 says And Jesus (the Son) when He was baptized went up straightway out of the water and lo the heavens were opened unto Him and He saw (the Spirit) of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Him. And lo a voice from heaven saying ( the Father) This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.

Notice the following examples of trinity and completeness in nature and the bible. A bucket of water displays the trinity and can be either a liquid, solid, or vapor and be the same bucket of water. This is demonstrated with drinking water, frozen water, and boiling water. The sun (like Jesus) exhibits a trinity; 1) Light rays representing Jesus-you can see them but you can't feel them 2) Heat rays representing the Holy Spirit-you can feel them but you can't see them 3) Actinic rays representing the Father-you can't see or feel them. God like the sun is a trinity; 1) God has a body you can see and feel-Jesus 2) God has a soul you can't see or feel-The Father 3) God has a Spirit you can feel but not see-The Holy Spirit. And the cheribum 4 beasts (noted at Ezekial 10:14-15) before the throne of God continually praise Jesus with a trinity 1) Holy, holy, holy 2) Lord God Almighty 3) which was and is and is to come (Revelation 4:8).

Usually everything on this earth comes in threes to form completion. Since God is a trinity, everything in the world is a trinity and a manifestation of God. There's a red light, a yellow light, and a green light; There are only three answers: Yes No or Maybe; A family is a Father, Mother, and Child; We also have Breakfast Lunch and Dinner; Beginners Intermediate and Advanced; Morning Noon and Night; Left Right Center; Ready Set Go; Ready Aim Fire; and Positive Negative Neutral.

Bill Grady from his book Given By Inspiration gives the following blessed examples where three things signify completion. Goldilocks and the Three Bears; The Three Little Pigs; atmosphere, ionosphere, and stratosphere; electrons, protons, and neutrons; ABC, CBS, And NBC; 1,2,3-repeat after me; Veni, Vidi, Vici meaning I came, I saw, I conquered stated by Julius Caesar refering to a swift conclusive victory; small, medium, large; id, ego, superego; Huey, Dewey, and Louie; thesis, antithesis, and synthesis; snap, crackle, and pop; Prince, Paris, and Blanket (Michael Jackson's three kids); and the good, the bad, and the ugly.

And heres's some more blessed examples where three things signify completion. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness; the three R's (Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic); of the people, by the people, and for the people; Three Coins In The Fountain 1954 movie; three ring circus; three time loser; three strikes and you're out; the third time's a charm; three bean salad; three sheets to the wind (To be three sheets to the wind is to be drunk. The sheet is a line that controls the sails on a ship. If the line is not secured, the sail flops in the wind, and the ship loses headway and control. If all three sails are loose the ship is drunk and out of control); and finally you can click this youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bebLde5kcqo and sing the children's song Three Little Kittens Who Lost Their Mittens.

Here's some more examples where three things signify completion. The three kingdoms of nature according to Linnaeus are mineral, vegetable, and animal; The three parts of color are hue (the attribute of color, red blue, yellow), chroma (the purity or intensity of color) and value (the lightness or darkness of color); The three elements in music are rhythm, harmony, and melody. There are three dimensions (constituents of the universe) called time, space, and matter. Time is subdivided into past, present, and future. Space is subdivided into length, width, and height. The three primary elements of nature are earth, water, and fire. Energy is formed from proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Water (H2O) consists of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. The three major constituents of the earth's atmosphere (air) are nitrogen, oxygen, and argon.

The three parts of the Old Testament are the Law, the Writings, and the Prophets; The three parts of the New Testament are the Gospels, the Acts, and the Epistles; God's name is composed of three letters-I AM; God's three main attributes are omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence; Israel's three patriarchs are Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; The Holy Place of the tabernacle had the following three items: the seven candlesticks, the table of shewbread with 12 cakes, and the altar of incense. The Most Holy Place of the tabernacle had the following three items in the ark: the golden pot that had manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant (Hebrews 9:4); The bible was originally written in three languages; Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. The three major religions are Protestant, Greek Orthodox, and Catholic.

Here's some blessed revelations about the number three regarding Jesus, Paul, and John. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are visited by wise men who bring gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Jesus died on Calvary's middle cross between two thieves after three hours in darkness. Jesus then spends three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The ascended Lord Jesus Christ is now the only mediator between God and man. Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

After the Apostle Paul is saved, baptized, and called to preach, he is sent to Arabia for three years of study. He then embarks upon his specialized ministry proclaiming Christ's death, burial, and resurrection to the Gentiles. The themes of his epistles include: faith, hope, and charity; justification, sanctification, and glorification; and grace, mercy, and peace. While the words "Thrice was I beaten with rods" describe a portion of his suffering, his personal revelations included a trip to the third heaven. At death, his sole possessions consisted of a cloak, books, and parchments. The Apostle John wraps up things by telling us about the three woes (fifth, sixth, and seventh trumpets at Revelation 8:13; Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth), 666, Holy, Holy, Holy, and the new heavens, new earth, and new Jerusalem at Revelation 21:1-2.

And let's not forget some more biblical threes in the bible. There's the threefold cord that is not quickly broken at Ecclesiastes 4:12; the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace; Peter's three denials; Egypt, the Wilderness, and Canaan; natural, carnal, and spiritual; the Great Commission to go, teach, and baptize; and the shout of Jesus, the voice of the archangel Michael, and the trump of God at the rapture when the saints are caught up in the clouds to meet Jesus in the air. Also note God's mathematical organization where the number 3 first appears at Genesis 5:22 (5+2+2=9) (a multiple of 3); And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

And here's some more examples where three things signify completion. One side of the earth has North America, Central America, and South America while the other side of the earth has Europe, Asia, and Africa; Children study in three places; elementary school, junior high school, and high school;  We're under the sun, the moon, and the stars; People are light, medium, or heavy; Our bodies have three main parts; The head, the trunk, and the limbs (extremities); Three parts of the soul are mind, will, and emotion; There's Land Sea Air; Army Navy Air Force; Top Bottom Middle; Thought Word Deed; Motive Act Consequence; Shem Ham Japheth; Peter James John; The Pep Boys-Manny, Moe, and Jack; And finally there's Moe, Larry, and Curly.

The Number 4 Represents World And Earth

Whenever you see the number 4 in the bible it represents the world and the earth. Everything in the bible about the number 4 speaks about the world and this earth. For example there are 4 seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter). There are 4 directions (North, South, East, and West). There are 4 elements of matter (Earth, Water, Air, and Fire). There are 4 faces on this earth for the cheribum (man, lion, ox, and eagle). The fourth book of the bible (Numbers) speaks about a wilderness journey of the Jews through this world.

Every time we see the number 4 in the bible, it speaks about the world and the earth. Revelation 7:1-2 says And after these things I saw 4 angels standing on the 4 corners of the earth, holding the 4 winds of the earth that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. Revelation 14:6 says that all people dwelling on this earth belong to one of four categories (every nation and kindred and tongue and people). Jesus predicts four major judgments upon the earth at Matthew 24:6-7 (war, famine, pestilence, and earthquakes). And note that there were 4 rivers that flowed out of the Garden of Eden (Pison, Gihon, Hiddekel, and Euphrates).

The Number 5 Represents Death And Grace

Whenever you see the number 5 in the bible it represents death and grace. The first time the word died (from old age) appears in the bible (after Abel's death from Cain that was a homicide murder) is at Genesis 5:5 (5+5=10) (a multiple of 5) that says "And all the days that Adam lived were 930 years and he died." And in the new testament at Acts 5:5 Ananias gave up the ghost and died. Ananias was the first professing believer to die in the New Testament before Stephen died as a martyr for Jesus. Ananias' obituary entry is listed in the fifth verse of the fifth chapter of the fifth book in the New Testament at Acts 5:5; And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost; and great fear came on all them that heard these things. The fifth word-"words" (five letters) is a reference to Ananias' death sentence itself. And for what it's worth, "Sister Sapphira" dies five verses later at Acts 5:10 (2x5).

The first time the word die appears in the bible is at Genesis 2:17 (2+1+7=10) (a multiple of 5); But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. The first time the word death appears in the bible is at Genesis 21:16 (2+1+1+6=10) (a multiple of 5); And she went and sat down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot; for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice and wept. Truly Jesus has mathematically organized the KJV bible with many hidden mysteries revealed by the Holy Spirit.

And how about this revelation how the number 5 represents death. The book of Genesis starts out with life saying at Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth; Then the book of Genesis ends with death at Genesis 50:26 that says So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old, and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt. Now count the words in Genesis 50:26 and you'll discover 23 words (2+3=5) (5 being the number representing death). This mathematical genius of our Lord Jesus Christ only occurs in a KJV bible.

Jesus, death, and grace all have 5 letters. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and by Grace (God's Redemption At Christ's Expense) our sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus. Note also that satan and devil have 5 letters that represent death. Egypt and world have 5 letters where Egypt is a type of the world with death and trouble. And night (five letters) (a picture of death) was created at Genesis 1:5. David used five smooth stones for Goliath's death sentence. Death occurred at Joshua 10:16 and Joshua 10:26 when Joshua put his foot on the neck of 5 kings that were hung on 5 trees. And the fifth month is May where the distress signal given by pilots in planes to avoid death is Mayday, Mayday, Mayday taken from the French term venez m'aider meaning, "Come help me."

Genesis 5:1 lists the book of the generations of Adam where men died. Matthew 1:1 lists the book of the generation of Jesus Christ where no one's death is recorded. Study Genesis 5 and Matthew 1 and note the many deaths listed at Genesis 5 from Adam and no deaths listed with Jesus at Matthew 1 (truly incredible that no one dies with Jesus). A sin nature with death comes from Adam while eternal life and peace comes from Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 (1+5+2+2=10) (a multiple of 5) explains the difference between Adam's book of generations and Jesus' book of generation. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Romans 5:17 also says For if by one man's offence (Adam) death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

Many men have their ages listed at death in the bible. But there is only one woman listed in the bible whose age was recorded upon her death (Sarah). This is a great bible trivia question. Note that Genesis 23:1 says And Sarah (5 letters) was an hundred and seven and twenty (127) (1+2+7=10) (a multiple of 5 representing death) years old; these were the years of the life of Sarah. The greatest love occurred when Jesus died on the cross of Calvary for sinners stated at John 15:13 (1+5+1+3=10) (a multiple of 5); Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. The first 5 books of the bible called the Pentateuch Law (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) represent death from the knowledge of sin. Romans 7:9 says For I was alive without the law once, but when the commandment (Pentateuch Law) came, sin revived and I died.

The brazen altar of the Old Testament where thousands of animals were sacrificed by priests measured five cubits long and five cubits wide according to Exodus 27:1. Jesus' five meager garments at the cross are described at John 19:23; Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also His coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. Jesus' five meager garments at the cross were exchanged after the soldiers cast lots for five major wounds (four nail wounds in Jesus' wrists and feet and one wound from a spear that pierced Jesus' side).

Hebrews 2:14 says Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Note that the devil (five letters), formerly the anointed fifth cherub that covereth at Ezekial 28:14 who five times proclaimed I will at Isaiah 14:13-14 had the power of death (five letters) and the ability to put people into the grave (five letters).

But rejoice because there will be five downs for the devil because of the devil's five proud I wills at Isaiah 14:13-14. The first down from the third heaven to the second heaven is noted at Isaiah 14:15 that says Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. The second down from the second heaven to the first heaven is noted at Luke 10:18 that says I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. The third down from the first heaven to earth is noted at Revelation 12:9 that says And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The fourth down from the earth to the bottomless pit is noted at Revelation 20:2-3 that says And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him. And finally the fifth down for the devil from the bottomless pit to the lake of fire is noted at Revelation 20:10 that says And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Hallelujah five downs for the devil who is defeated forever.

Abner, Asahel, and Amasa all suffered death from a spear under their 5th rib (the scripture references are 2 Samuel 2:23, 2 Samuel 3:27, and 2 Samuel 20:10). Abner was the commander of Saul's army who wanted Saul's son Ish-Bosheth to defeat David; After Abner killed Asahel (Joab's brother) in self defense, Joab got revenge for his brother Asahel and killed Abner (even though Abner repented and promised loyalty to the house of David instead of the house of Saul). Amasa was the captain for Absalom's rebel army against David; After Joab killed Absalom, David forgave Amasa and promoted Amasa above Joab; Finally jealous Joab killed Amasa.

Next let's see what happened to Joab. When David neared the end of his reign, Joab offered his allegiance to David's eldest son, Adonijah, rather than to the eventual king, Solomon (1 Kings 1:1-27). On the brink of his death, David told Solomon to have Joab killed, citing Joab's past betrayals and the blood that he was guilty of. Solomon ordered Joab's death by the hand of Benaiah (1 Kings 2:29-34). Hearing this Joab fled to the Tent of Tabernacle and told Benaiah that he would die there. Benaiah killed Joab there and thereby replaced him as commander of the army. All of these deaths occurred because David committed adultery with Bathsheba and murdered her husband Uriah. David suffered four-fold vengeance and lost 4 children (Bathsheba's first baby, Amnon, Absalom, and Adonijah). But because David repented, God blessed David's son Solomon to become the king.

Benjamin received 5 times more than his brethren by grace. Genesis 45:22 says To all of them he (Joseph) gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and 5 changes of raiment. This grace was bestowed upon Benjamin because his mother Rachel suffered death when he was born.

The Number 6 Represents Man Or Beast

Whenever you see the number 6 in the bible it represents man or beast. Revelation 13:18 tells us that the number 6 is the number for a man or the beast (antichrist). This scripture says Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six (666). And isn't it interesting the the number 666 for the mark of the beast is mentioned at Revelation 13 verse 18 that is (6+6+6).

Truly the number 6 represents man and beast. God created both man and beast on the 6th day. The 6th book of the old testament is named after a man (Joshua). And note that Joshua has 6 letters. And wow the 6th book of the new testament is Romans and has the word man in it and also has 6 letters.  And if you open your bible to Romans 6:6 guess what the 6th word is (wow it's man in the KJV bible). The blessed scripture reads Knowing this that our old man (6th word is man) is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Now note that the NIV perversion bible misquotes Romans 6:6 and substitutes the word self for man as the 7th word instead of the blessed 6th word man in the KJV bible. Romans 6:6 in the NIV says For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves to sin. This is why people should only read a KJV bible that is the most accurate bible. Don't read any translated bible that denies the Diety of Jesus saying Jesus is not God. The NIV bible deletes 1 John 5:7 that says in the KJV that the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one claiming that Jesus (the Word) is God. The NIV misquotes 1 Timothy 3:16 saying Jesus is not God claiming he (not God) was manifest in the flesh. The KJV version of 1 Timothy 3:16 correctly states that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh.

Also note the following places in the old testament that the beast's number 666 with rebellion is mentioned. At Ezra 2:13 (2+1+3=6) 666 is mentioned; The children of Adonikam (defined as The Lord of the Rebellion-a type of Antichrist), six hundred sixty and six. At 1 Kings 10:14 (1+1+4=6) 666 is also mentioned; Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold. The 666 talents of gold displayed Solomon's rebellious sin of multiplying gold stated at Deuteronomy 17:17; Neither shall he multiply wives to himself (Solomon, truly a ladies man, sinned by having 700 wives and 300 concubines noted at 1 Kings 11:3), that his heart turn not away, neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold. Finally we see 666 in the new testament at John 6:66 that deals with many rebellious disciples who turned away from Jesus Christ and stopped following Him; From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.

And how about this amazing revelation: There are 66 books in the bible. And if you read from John 1:1 to John 1:5 (In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...) that is talking about the bible Word Jesus there are exactly 66 words from John 1:1 to John 1:5 (note that John 1:6 is not talking about the Word Jesus but about John the Baptist).

And note that the book of Isaiah has 66 chapters each corresponding to one of the 66 books of the  bible. This only occurs in a King James bible and not any of the original bible manuscripts before 1611. The first book of the bible begins at Genesis 1:1 saying In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the first chapter of Isaiah at Isaiah 1:2 says Hear O heavens and give ear O earth. The last book of the bible at Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And the last chapter of Isaiah at Isaiah 66:22 says For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

And notice that the split between the old and new testaments of a KJV bible occur after the 39th book. Isn't it amazing that the prophet Isaiah knew to divide and split his book at Chapter 39 where Chapter 40 mentions John the Baptist and the new testament before the entire bible was completed. If you look at the 40th book of the bible Matthew chapter 3 it is talking about John the Baptist. OK take a look at Isaiah 40:3 and it also is talking about John the Baptist saying The voice of him (John the Baptist) that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

This proves that the 1611 KJV bible is the best translation of the bible because it was the 7th English translation after Jesus died on the cross. And Psalm 12:6 declares The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. Note that the 6 prior English bible translations leading up to the 7th pure and perfect 1611 KJV bible translation are listed as follows: 1) Tyndale 2) Matthew 3) Coverdale 4) Geneva 5) Bishops and 6) Great Bible. Also 6 historical bible translations leading up to the 7th pure and perfect 1611 KJV bible translation are listed as follows: 1) Hebrew 2) Aramaic 3) Syriac in Antioch 4) Greek 5) Latin and 6) German by Luther. Therefore preach, read, and study only from a 1611 KJV bible (purified seven times) that is the 7th best, pure, and perfect translation that God has preserved from this generation forever. According to Revelation 3:10, the Philadelphia church that existed during 1611 KEPT and preserved the perfect KJV translation from this generation forever. The scripture promises Because thou (the Philadelphia church) hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

One other note about the number 6. Nebuchadnezzar's image that he built was 60 cubits high and 6 cubits wide. Daniel 3:1 says Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold whose height was threescore cubits (60 cubits) and the breadth thereof (6 cubits) he set it up in the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. This image was a shadow type of the image of the beast antichrist in the book of Revelation that was worshipped by man.

Notice that from Daniel 3:1 to Daniel 3:7 the words set up (talking about Nebuchadnezzar's image) appear 6 times. And 6 instruments (cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer) were played at Daniel 3:5 before people fell down and worshipped the image that Nebuchadnezzar set up. Note that the cornet is today's trumpet, the sackbut is today's trombone, and the psaltery and dulcimer (zither stringed instruments) are like today's sacred steel guitars.

The Number 7 Represents Completion Or Perfection

Whenever you see the number 7 in the bible it represents completion or perfection. God completed His creation of the heavens and earth on the 7th day and rested on the Sabbath. Perfect Jesus said it is finished and completed when Jesus spoke 7 sayings from the cross at Calvary. The 7 seals, trumpets, and vials will bring a completion to the 7 year tribulation.

There are 31,102 verses in the KJV bible that complete the KJV bible. These numbers add up to 7. (3+1+1+0+2=7) (truly an amazing quinky dinky from the KJV bible). Next note historically how the KJV bible was completed. The KJV bible was commissioned or ordered by King James of England to be created in 1604. The first printed KJV bible was finished and completed 7 years later in 1611.

Lamech is the only man in the bible that lived 777 years stated at Genesis 5:31; And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years, and he died. Lamech's death at the age of 777 signified the completion of the antediluvian time period chronicled in the bible between the fall of man and the Genesis flood survived by Noah and his family in the ark.

And note that God uses the number 7 to complete time periods. First when God completed creation it was a week of days completed in 7 days. When God completed the time period for the Feasts it was a week of weeks completed in 7 weeks from the Feast of Firstfruits to the Feast of Pentecost. Then there was a week of months that was completed in 7 months from Passover to Tabernacles. Then a week of years occurred that was completed in 7 years. This happened when God told the Jews that they could plant for 6 years and on the 7th year rest. When the 7th year occurred the fields were left vacant so that the nutrients and minerals could be replenished.  And then there was a week of weeks (7x7 or 49) of years that was completed in 49 years. This is where we see that the 50th year is called the blessed year of jubilee. And finally we see a week of millenniums that will be completed in 7000 years which will be the total time period for human history.

A couple more notes about the number 7. Note the plan God gave Joshua to conquer Jericho. First Joshua and his army walked around Jericho once for 6 days. Then on the 7th day Joshua and his army walked around Jericho 7 times and shouted to create a complete victory where the walls of Jericho fell down. And how about this incredible revelation about 3+4=7. If we look at the meanings of these numbers above we see that God Divinity did something in the world for completion and perfection.

And yet some more notes about the number 7. There are 7 colors that complete a rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). And there are 7 notes to complete a musical scale (not counting the flats and sharps which are just variations of the notes) (do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, and begin again with do) and at the 8th note octave (higher or lower depending on which direction you move your fingers) a new beginning occurs where the scale repeats.

There are 7 colors for painting pictures; 3 primary colors that are red, yellow, and blue; 3 secondary colors that are orange, green, and purple; and one more color that is black. There are 7 openings on our face; 2 for the ears, 2 for the eyes, 2 for the nose, and 1 for the mouth. There are 7 days that complete a week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).

The Number 8 Represents A New Beginning

Whenever you see the number 8 in the bible it represents a new beginning that follows completion and the number 7. After the feast of tabernacles that lasted 7 days, a Holy Convocation occurred on the 8th day. This Holy Convocation (a sacred assembling or "calling together" of God's people that is commanded in the Mosaic Law and held on special religious days) started a new cycle or new beginning. 2 Peter 2:5 says that Noah was the 8th person who started populating a new earth with a new beginning of 8 people on the ark after the flood. After the millennium that includes the 7000 years of history, a new beginning will occur after the Lord Jesus destroys this heaven and earth with fire and creates a new heaven and earth with the kingdom of God that would start during the year 8000.

God made the following 8 major covenants: 1) Edenic Covenant 2) Adamic Covenant 3) Noahic Covenant 4) Abrahamic Covenant 5) The Land Covenant (where God promises to give Israel to Abraham and the Jews forever at Genesis 15:18 from the river of Egypt to the river Euphrates in Iraq) 6) Mosaic Covenant 7) Davidic Covenant 8) New Covenant. Note that the 8th Covenant is called the New Covenant representing a new beginning where Israel and the Jews will accept the Lord Jesus as their Messiah. And it's amazing that this New Covenant is stated at Hebrews 8:8; For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

John 3:3-8 speaks about the new birth and how to be born again. Read the verses below for John 3:3-8 and rejoice when you see that the word born appears 8 times (noted by quotations) representing a new birth and beginning for a christian who gets saved and born again. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be "born" again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto Him, How can a man be "born" when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be "born." Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee Except a man be "born" of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is "born" of the flesh is flesh; and that which is "born" of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be "born" again; The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and whither it goeth; so is everyone that is "born" of the Spirit.

A couple more notes about the number 8. On the 8th day after Isaac was born, Abraham started a new beginning or new thing by circumcising Isaac. Genesis 17:12 says And he that is 8 days old shall be circumcised among you every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house or bought with money of any stranger which is not of thy seed.

After salvation with Jesus, people experience a new beginning as a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) by a spiritual circumcision described at Colossians 2:11; In (Jesus) whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. This spiritual circumcision is described at Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (note that the Word of God is the sword used in spiritual circumcision to separate your soul and spirit from your flesh joints and marrow so you recognize sin and repent), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Finally, notice the anointed picture above of Noah, his family, and the pairs of animals. It's amazing how the artist painted everything so accurate with all the pairs of animals. First notice that there are 8 people getting out of the ark (Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and their wives) with a beautiful rainbow. Next notice the pairs of animals (two of each animal) 2 zebras, 2 bears, 2 giraffes, 2 rhinos, 2 elephants, 2 camels, 2 chimps, 2 lions, 2 rabbits, 2 penguins, 2 geese, 2 snakes, 2 foxes, 2 eagles flying, 2 quails, 2 sheep, 2 peacocks, 2 lizards, a rooster and a hen, 2 parrots, 2 robins, 2 kangaroos, 2 gorillas, 2 ostriches (struthiocamelus), 2 elks, 2 gazelles, 2 buffalo bisons, 2 seals, 2 chipmunks, 2 mice, 2 cougars, 2 crocodiles, and 2 ducks.

And how about some Noah humor. Noah was a blessed banker. He floated his stock while the whole world was in liquidation. When Noah's boys were fishing on the ark, Noah told his boys, Go easy on the bait boys, we only have 2 worms. The money on Noah's ark was the following: The skunk brought in a scent, the duck brought in a bill, the doe brought in a buck, and the frog brought in a green back.

The Number 9 Represents Fruit

Whenever you see the number 9 in the bible it represents fruit. Genesis 9:1 says Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. The Holy Spirit lists 9 fruit at Galatians 5:22 (5+2+2=9) that says But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance noted in two verses from Galatians 5:22-23 (2+2+2+3=9). And isn't it incredible that the 9th book of the new testament is Galatians (and the word Galatians has 9 letters). And isn't it interesting that women carry babies in their wombs for 9 months because 9 is a fruit bearing number. And isn't it amazing that Abraham was 99 when 90 year old Sarah bore fruit and the seed Isaac was born.

Note these other blessed examples of how the number 9 represents fruitful blessings. The most fruitful king in Israel's history (David) is anointed king by Samuel in the book of 1 Samuel that is the ninth book of the bible. The most fruitful christian (Paul) gets born again in the ninth chapter of Acts. And America became a fruitful nation when 99 Pilgrims first saw Cape Cod, Massachusetts from the Mayflower (nine letters) on November 9, 1620 (Ninth Day) (In The Year 1+6+2+0=9).

And how about this for the number 9. The King James 1611 Holy Bible is my mother and brought forth good fruit when Brother Bob got born again in 1982. 1 Peter 1:23 says Being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. And when anyone preaches from a 1611 King James Bible they will bear fruit and win many souls to our Lord Jesus. Now notice that all the words about the 1611 KJV bible have 9 letters in them (King James has 9 letters, Holy Bible has 9 letters, Word Of God has 9 letters, and Scripture has 9 letters). And hallelujah if you add up 1611 you get 9. Truly the King James Bible represents the number 9 and bears much fruit when innumerable lost sinners become saved after they hear the KJV bible preached.

The first promise about the fruitful virgin birth of Jesus is noted at Genesis 3:15 (3+1+5=9); And I will put enmity between thee (the devil) and the woman (Eve), and between thy seed (the devil's seed) and her (Eve's) seed (Jesus); it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel. Jesus spoke about bringing forth much fruit at John 12:24 (1+2+2+4=9); Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone, but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Bill Grady from his book Given By Inspiration notes that the number 9 is the most fruitful blessed number when compared to numbers 1 through 8. Only the number 9 can result in the following blessed result. Try this blessed exercise with the number 9. Whenever you multiply 9 by any number up to infinity, the numbers in the sum will either total 9, or eventually add up to 9, a rather remarkable phenomenon, indeed. Thus we see that 9 x 3=27 (2+7=9); 9 x 7=63 (6+3=9); 9 x 475=4275 (4+2+7+5=18, and 1+8=9); 9 x 3547248=31925232; (3+1+9+2+5+2+3+2=27, and 2+7=9); ad infinitum (again and again in the same way forever). Now how's that for a mathematical blessing.

The Number 10 Represents Gentiles

Whenever you see the number 10 in the bible it represents Gentiles. The first mention about the word Gentiles occurs at Genesis 10:5. And in the new testament the door of salvation was opened to the Gentile Cornelius at Acts 10. Revelation 17:12 speaks about 10 Gentile kings that receive power with the antichrist. The scripture says And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet, but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

Hebrews 10:16 talks about a Gentile Covenant with the saved church of God that occurs separate from the 8th New Covenant with saved Jews noted at Hebrews 8:10. Hebrews 10:16 says This is the covenant that I will make with them (the saved church made up of Jews and Gentiles) after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Note that the bible at 1 Corinthians 10:32 tells us that there are three classes of people; 1) Unsaved Jews 2) Unsaved Gentiles 3) The Church made up of saved Jews and Gentiles; Give none offence, neither to the Jews (not modern Hebrew Israelites), nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.

For most of history Gentiles (Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans) have ruled the world. For a short time though King David and the Jews ruled the world. Eventually though the Jews and Israel will again rise to power when King Jesus rules this earth with a rod of iron for 1000 blessed years. And how about this incredible revelation about 4+6=10. If we look at the meaning of these numbers above we see that man working with the world creates Gentile kings and rulers for most of this earth's history.

The Number 11 Represents Judgment And Crisis

Whenever you see the number 11 in the bible it represents judgment. In Genesis 11 Nimrod and his armies rebelled against God by building the tower of Babel. God judged Nimrod by confusing their language. And Jesus was 33 years old (3 11s) (judged for the sins of mankind) when He died for our sins on the cross of Calvary.

The number 11 also represents a crisis. In the parable of the workers in the vineyard at Matthew 20:6, we see an 11th hour crisis when the workers complained saying no man hath hired us. People call 911 (9+1+1=11) to report an emergency crisis. The biggest crisis in American history occurred on September 11, 2001 when American Airlines Flight 11 hit the Twin Towers (shaped like an 11) in New York City (New York City has 11 letters), where New York was the 11th state to join the Union.

The Number 12 Represents Israel And The Jews

Whenever you see the number 12 in the bible it represents Israel and the Jews. The first Jew mentioned in the bible (Abram) is at Genesis 12:1. All the following examples about the number 12 relate to Israel and the Jews. There are 12 tribes of Israel pictured above. The Jewish ritual called circumcision has 12 letters. There are 12 precious gemstones in the high priests breastplate. There are 12 cakes of shewbread. There were 12 spies sent to Canaan by Moses. Joshua placed 12 stones in the bed of Jordan for a memorial. Elijah built an altar of 12 stones. Jesus had 12 disciples. Jesus could have sent 12 legions of angels to stop the crucifixion. Jesus healed Jairus' daughter who was 12 years old. Finally during the tribulation there will be 144000 Jewish witnesses (12x12000).

Matthew 19:28 proves that the number 12 represents Israel and the Jews; And Jesus said unto them (the 12 disciples), Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration (kingdom of God that occurs after the first sinful world is destroyed by fire) when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

The Number 13 Represents Rebellion And Sin

Whenever you see the number 13 in the bible it represents rebellion and sin. The first time the word thirteenth appears in a KJV bible it speaks about rebellion at Genesis 14:4 that says Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. Nimrod was the 13th person from Adam (Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Ham, Cush, and 13th Nimrod) who rebelled against God by building the tower of Babel. Genesis 10:8 says Cush (Ham's son) begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. The first time the word thirteen appears in a KJV bible it speaks about rebellion from a wild man named Ishmael at Genesis 17:25: And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. Genesis 16:12 describes Ishmael saying And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

And isn't it interesting that God is mentioned in the first 12 verses of Genesis 1 but mysteriously disappears off the pages of the bible at Genesis 1:13 that just says And the evening and the morning were the third day. And wow God reappears again at Genesis 1:14. Truly the number 13 leaves God out and represents rebellion. This is why most elevators in buildings skip Floor 13 and only have Floors 12 and 14. And it's also interesting that most airports have no 13th gate. People try to avoid the number 13 that represents rebellion and forgets God.

And wow Judas Iscariot who rebelled and betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver has exactly 13 letters in his name. And isn't it amazing that Jesus spake exactly 13 words about Judas Isacariot at John 6:70 that says "Have not I chosen you twelve and one of you is a devil". And this bible verse says 12 and one that equals 13. And then look at the fact that Jesus spoke these words about Judas Iscariot at John 6:70 (6+7+0=13 again). Jesus identified the traitor Judas Isacariot with the sop (calling Judas the SOP Son of Perdition) at John 13:26 (13x2=26); Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the Son of Simon.

Also note that the harlot's description at Revelation 17:5 has exactly 13 words that says MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And the word dragon occurs 13 times in the book of Revelation. The curse of the law is mentioned at Galatians 3:13. Satan shows up at Mark 1:13. The number 666 for the beast is found at Revelation 13:18 (1+3+1+8=13). 13 evils in the human heart are listed at Mark 7:21-22 that are evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. Finally there are 39 books in the old testament (13x3) and the last word of the old testament is curse.

Bill Grady from his book Given by Inspiration notes that while about 85% of the thirteens in Scripture represent rebellion and refer to something bad, one can be a rebel for God. Paul was the greatest rebel of the church age, being the thirteenth apostle, called in the thirteenth chapter of Acts, who goes on to write 13 books that begin with the word Paul: (Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon), with 1 Corinthians 13:13 being the heart of his ministry.

Paul starts out at Acts 13:1-2 as Saul in second position under Barnabas' teaching; Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger; and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul (notice that Saul is listed last training under Barnabas). As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. Saul is in second position where Barnabas is the trainer and Saul is the trainee. Saul in training has his Hebrew name Saul and not his Roman name Paul that he uses to reach the Gentiles with Jesus.

But when you arrive at Acts 13:43,46 Barnabas and Saul has changed to Paul and Barnabas; Paul becomes the ultimate rebel for Jesus and top enchilada while he preaches with his Roman name Paul instead of Saul. These scriptures say Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you; but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Saul became Paul (the greatest rebel of the church age) taking charge and leadership over Barnabas when John (Mark) returned to Jerusalem at Acts 13:13 (Wow this proves that 13 is the number for rebellion); Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; and John (Mark) departing from them returned to Jerusalem. John (Mark) eventually repented for deserting Paul and wrote the blessed gospel of Mark. To sum it all up we see that Acts 13 is when Saul goes into the Lord's work and Acts 13:13 is when Paul is commissioned to be the top rebel banana for our Lord Jesus.

Be like Paul and be a blessed rebel for Jesus preaching against dead religious traditions and wicked governmental laws. An old Japanese missionary used to say that the duty of every christian in any age is to discern the spirit of the age and then to go diametrically opposed to it. Remember if you are a friend of the world, you are an enemy of God (James 4:4); Don't flow downstream with the world's current; Instead rebel upstream preaching about Jesus against the world's sinful current.

Thirteen colonies rebelled against Great Britain to form the United States of America. One of America's earliest flags had thirteen stripes, thirteen stars, and thirteen letters (Don't Tread On Me). After the church is caught up in the rapture, a remnant of Tribulation saints will continue to be rebels for God by resisting and not taking the mark of the Beast Antichrist, being rallied by those thirteen words in the thirteenth verse of the thirteenth chapter of the book of Hebrews: "Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach" (Hebrews 13:13).

And isn't it incredible that the first time the word sinner appears in a KJV bible at Genesis 13:13, it's speaking about sodomites (homosexuals and lesbians) who are wicked, rebellious, and exceedingly sinful. Homosexuality has 13 letters. And it's amazing that Genesis 13:13 has exactly 13 words in the bible verse. "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly." This proves that God speaks through numbers to reveal hidden mysteries and revelations about the bible. Please note that I don't hate homosexuals and lesbians (I pray that they stop sinning and get saved with Jesus); I only speak out against the sin of homosexuality and lesbianism. According to Genesis 13:13 sodomy is not only sinful (it's exceedingly sinful) and must be avoided to be blessed with our Lord Jesus.

The Number 40 Represents Testing And Trials

The number 40 represents testing and trials. Note the following examples where God tested people in the bible with trials. It rained 40 days and 40 nights during the flood when Noah was on the ark; Moses was tested 40 years in Egypt, 40 years in the desert, and 40 years with Israel in the wilderness; The 12 spies spied the land of Canaan for 40 days; The reigns of Saul, David, and Solomon each lasted for 40 years; Goliath defied Israel for 40 days; Nineveh was given 40 days to repent; Elijah fasted 40 days and 40 nights; Jesus was tempted 40 days in the wilderness.

Jesus appeared 12 times during 40 days after His resurrection. Acts 1:2-3 says Until the day in which He (Jesus) was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen: To whom also He (Jesus) shewed Himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. The link below is a good summary about the 12 appearances of Jesus after his resurrection.

All of the examples above about the number 40 show us that God was not hasty in His judgment and gave men ample time for a fair trial. And one final revelation about the number 40 minus one and the number 39. When Jesus was whipped with 39  stripes before His crucifixion it was because punishment by flogging or whipping was limited by law to 40 stripes save 1. Now the reason Jesus took 39 stripes was so that saints could rejoice daily and say By Jesus' stripes I am healed. Medical science has proven that there are 39 categories of every illness that ever existed. Look this up on google and you will see that there are 39 categories of sickness. Therefore the 39 stripes that Jesus took at the cross cover every type of sickness anyone could ever have and truly when we say daily I am crucified with Jesus Christ we can claim the promise that By Jesus' stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Right now rejoice, say, and believe the promise of 1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

  1. Thanks Bob!
Romans 11:11 is a judgment verse. It holds out hope for the remnant Jews that will believe:
"Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy."
