More Things That Will Find You Out

More Things That Will Find You Out
1) Pride Will Find You Out

Pride is another thing that will find you out. The number one thing that the Lord Jesus hates is a proud look where people think they are better than others because of education or race. Proverbs 6:16 says These six things doth the Lord hate, yea seven are an abomination unto Him; A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Remember we are all equal and sinners before God and only Jesus who is perfect should be exalted and glorified. Like Paul say at 1 Corinthians 1:31 He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Notice what happens after a prejudice person is proud and thinks they are better than others. Proverbs 16:18 tells us that pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall. And Proverbs 11:2 tells us When pride cometh, then cometh shame. Notice that after pride cometh destruction and shame. Pride will find you out. Instead of being proud and selfish be humble and concerned about the needs of others. Philippians 2:3 tells us Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Remember James 4:10 says Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up. Luke 14:11 says For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Pride Found Sennacherib Out

Pride found Sennacherib out. Sennacherib was a proud king who sent threatening letters to King Hezekiah that he would soon conquer him. Hezekiah was humble and according to 2 Kings 19:14 Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it (Sennacherib's threatening letters) before the Lord. The Lord Jesus blessed Hezekiah's humble prayers and in one night just one angel killed 185000 enemy soldiers in Sennacherib's army. Then proud Sennacherib returned with shame of face to his own land where his own sons slew him. 2 Chronicles 32:21 says And the Lord sent an angel which cut off all the mighty men of valour in one night, and the leaders and the captains in the camp of the King of Assyria; So he (Sennacherib) returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels (his sons) slew him there with the sword.

Pride Found Nebuchadnezzar Out

Pride found Nebuchadnezzar out. Nebuchadnezzar was a proud king who tried to exalt himself and have people worship him like a god. Nebuchadnezzar's pride caused him to become an animal that went crazy in the wilderness for seven years. Nebuchadnezzar learned that shame follows pride. But after seven years, Nebuchadnezzar became a humble child of God, repenting where his mind was restored and he again became king.

Take time to read some of the most blessed words in the bible from King Nebuchadnezzar after he became a humble child of God exalting the Lord Jesus. Nebuchadnezzar learned that being humble and blessed with the Lord Jesus is better than the shame that follows pride. Daniel 4:33-37 says The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar; and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured Him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Daniel 4:35-37 goes on to say And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest thou? At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors, and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment; and those that walk in pride He is able to abase.

Pride Found Haman Out

Pride found Haman out. Haman was second in power in the Persian Empire. Everybody bowed down to Haman except Mordecai the Jew. Mordecai only bowed down to the God of heaven. Haman was so proud that because only one Jew named Mordecai wouldn't bow down to him, Haman made a gallows to hang Mordecai and made laws to destroy the Jews.  But after the King discovered that Mordecai had saved his life, when he learned that Haman wanted to hang Mordecai, the King had proud Haman hung on his own gallows and let the Jews defend themselves and survive. Haman learned that destruction follows pride.

Be Like Jesus Who Was The Most Humble Person Ever
Don't Let Pride Find You Out

Look to Jesus daily to avoid pride and become humble with many blessings. Because Jesus is the most humble person who died on the cross for all sinners, the name of Jesus is the name above all names. Rejoice and praise Jesus as I list the many ways that Jesus was humble and not proud. First Jesus didn't boast that He lived in a wealthy ivory palace in heaven described at Psalm 45:8; Instead Jesus said at Luke 9:58 Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head.

Next Jesus appeared as a humble lowly carpenter instead of a proud elegantly dressed king. Isaiah 53:2 tells us He (Jesus) hath no form nor comeliness, and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. Jesus was humble and didn't worry about His reputation or the opinions of people but according to Matthew 11:19 Jesus was a friend of publicans and sinners. Jesus was humble and boasted of no degrees from education, yet knowing all things as God the Jews proclaimed at Matthew 7:15 How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?

And Jesus didn't boast in pride about His superiority as God but instead said at Luke 22:27 I am among you as He that serveth. And Jesus proclaimed at Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Jesus was humble and gave all credit to the Father instead of exalting himself. Jesus said at John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing; as I hear I judge; and my judgment is just because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father, which hath sent me. Then Jesus said at John 6:38 For I came down from heaven not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me.

Finally, Jesus humbled Himself so much that He died on a cross to save wretched sinners like you and me. Phillipians 2:7 tells us Jesus made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Remember what our Lord Jesus told us at Proverbs 8:13; The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogancy and the evil way and the froward mouth do I (Jesus) hate. Decide today to get saved and follow humble Jesus and become blessed where you avoid the shame and destruction from pride. Right now repent, stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Determine today to follow the steps of humble Jesus to be blessed listed at 1 Peter 2:21 that says For even hereunto were ye called; because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps; Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth; Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.

More Things That Will Find You Out
2) Rejecting Jesus Christ Will Find You Out

The worst sin anyone could ever commit is rejecting Jesus Christ. Rejecting Jesus Christ is worse than murder, stealing, drinking, drugs, rape, adultery, and fornication. People can be forgiven for murder, stealing, drinking, drugs, rape, adultery, and fornication but will suffer trouble for these sins on earth. But when anyone rejects Jesus Christ they will forever suffer in the everlasting lake of fire and hell with no forgiveness. You might get by a day, month, or even several years rejecting Jesus, but sooner or later rejecting Jesus will find you out and send you to the lake of fire from the great white throne judgment. Don't commit the worst sin by rejecting Jesus. Remember trust Jesus and go to heaven; Trust anything else and got to hell.

Don't be like King Agrippa who rejected Jesus telling Paul at Acts 26:28 Almost thou persuadest me to be a christian. Almost only counts in horseshoes. There is no record that King Agrippa ever got saved. He's probably in hell.  And don't be like Felix who rejected Jesus telling Paul at Acts 24:25 When I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. Felix's convenient season to accept Jesus is not recorded and Felix is probably in hell.

Instead right now today accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour believing that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Remember Solomon's warning at Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Today (right now) is the day of salvation according to 2 Corinthians 6:2 that says I have heard thee in a time accepted and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee; behold now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation.

Jesus is telling everyone reading this at Revelation 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock; If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup with him, and he with me.  Make the choice to accept the Lord Jesus today and remember 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son (Jesus) hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. And also remember John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
