Jesus' First And Last Request

Friends, remember that Jesus' first and last request to everyone is to save and win souls. Every church should replace the exit sign on their church with the sign "You are now entering the mission field." Notice that in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts Jesus' first and last request is to save and win souls. I'm going to obey the Lord Jesus and tell everyone reading this bible study to get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Pictured above let's start with Matthew and see Jesus' first and last request. Matthew 4:19 states Jesus' first request to win souls. And He (Jesus) saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And Matthew 28:18 states Jesus' last request to win souls. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Therefore we see that according to Jesus, winning and saving souls for Jesus should be the most important goal for all christians. Singing in the choir, helping the babies in the church nursery, keeping the financial records for the church, and cleaning the church are important. But, according to Jesus, it's more important that christians travel everywhere and use this internet to win lost souls to our Lord Jesus. I agree with the blessed quote from CT Studd "Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell but I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of hell."

OK notice that Jesus' last request in the gospel of Mark is to save and win lost souls. Mark 16:15 says And He (Jesus) said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And wow Jesus last request in the gospel of Luke is also to save and win lost souls. Luke 24:47 says And that repentance and remisson of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses (for Jesus) (not Jehovah witnesses) of these things.

We see again in Mark and Luke that Jesus says that saving and winning souls should be the main goal for all christians. Remember, the last thing Jesus did on this earth before He died on the cross was save and win a lost soul (the thief that said Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom). Jesus told that thief To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Jesus saved this thief through the suffering and pain of the cross. Lord Jesus help everyone reading this to be like you and not allow a little suffering to stop them from winning souls and telling people everywhere about our Lord Jesus.

A Poem By Will Hougton

Lead me to some soul today
Teach me Lord just what to say

Friends of mine are lost in sin and can not find their way
Few there are who seem to care; Few there are who pray

Melt my heart; Fill my life
Give me one soul a day

Alright, let's see Jesus' last request in the gospel of John to save and win lost souls. John 20:21 says Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And the Father sent Jesus to seek and to save them that are lost according to Luke 19:10 that says For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. And Jesus' last request on this earth before He rose to glory was to save and win lost souls at Acts 1:8. This blessed scripture says But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me (unto Jesus) both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. In other words, Jesus told us to be witnesses for Him unto the uttermost part of the earth by preaching the good news of Jesus on this internet everywhere.

Remember according to Jesus the most important goal for all christians should be to save and win lost souls to our Lord Jesus. Everyone should win at least one soul a year to our Lord Jesus. Don't live a year without winning one person to our Lord. At least plant and water by preaching the Word of God and telling people everywhere about salvation through our Lord Jesus. Paul said at 1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Proverbs 11:30 says The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Let's obey our Lord Jesus' command to all his servants at Luke 14:23: And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Another Blessed Poem About Winning Souls To Our Lord Jesus

Let me see this world Dear Lord
As though I was looking through your eyes

A world of men who don't want you Lord
But a world for which you died

Let me stand high above my petty problems
And reach for souls hellbound eternally

For if once I could see this world the way you see
I'd just know I'd serve you more faithfully

A True Story About Pastor John Harper
One Of The Greatest Soul Winners For Our Lord Jesus

Pictured above we see one of the greatest soul winners that ever lived for our Lord Jesus named Pastor John Harper. During 1912 Pastor Harper won thousands of souls to our Lord Jesus in Scotland. After DL Moody invited Pastor Harper to come to America to preach a revival in Chicago, Pastor Harper traveled on a boat across the Atlantic Ocean to preach for a month in Chicago for DL Moody where thousands of souls got saved.

After Pastor Harper preached his Chicago revival, he took a train back to New England and got on a boat named the Titanic with his 5 year old little daughter to return to his home in Scotland. The Titanic hit an iceberg and began to sink. Pastor John Harper will forever be remembered as a hero that saved thousands of lives on the Titanic. While the Titanic was sinking, Pastor Harper allowed the women and the little children (including his little 5 year old girl) to safely board the limited number of lifeboats available.

While the Titanic kept sinking, Pastor John Harper shouted to everyone on the deck of the Titanic over and over again Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house (Acts 16:31). Pastor Harper asked a man are you saved? When the man replied No, Pastor Harper gave him his life jacket saying you need this more than me; if I die I'll go to heaven but if you die without Jesus you'll go to hell; therefore you need this life jacket more than me.

After the Titanic sank, Pastor John Harper grabbed onto a piece of wood and found himself floating in the Atlantic Ocean. While floating, Pastor Harper met another man floating on a piece of wood in the Atlantic Ocean. John Harper asked this man Are you saved? The man replied No and I don't want to be saved. Pastor Harper shouted to him Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

And then the waves took John Harper away from the lost man. But by some chance, coincidence, or maybe some divine providence, they met each other again floating in the Atlantic Ocean. Again, Pastor Harper told the lost man Are you saved now, you don't have much time left? Again the man replied No and I don't want to be saved. Pastor Harper screamed to him Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Then as John Harper floated away, the lost man saw Pastor Harper die and sink to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Four years later at a testimony meeting in Ontario, a young Scotsman rose in the meeting saying I am a survivor of the Titanic. When I was drifitng alone on a board in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, a man named Pastor John Harper floated by screaming Are you saved? When I said No I don't want to be saved, Pastor Harper replied Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Then after I saw Pastor John Harper die and sink to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, there alone on a board in the Atlantic Ocean with two miles of water underneath me, I got gloriously saved and made Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Then I was rescued by a lifeboat. I am Pastor John Harper's last convert. We should forever remember Pastor John Harper as the true hero of the Titanic that saved thousands for our Lord Jesus even until the last moment before he died.

I pray in Jesus name this bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength.
