Some Would He Did

Today's message is titled some would He did. Some men would scarcely die for a righteous man and perhaps peradventure even dare to die for a good man. But our Lord Jesus did die (not just for righteous and good people); Jesus died for us when we were yet sinners. The bible states this at Romans 5:6-8 that says For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The greatest love was when our Lord Jesus died on the cross for sinners. John 15:13 says Greater love hath no man than this, that a man (Jesus) lay down his life for His friends (on the cross). 1 John 3:16 says Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. Everyone is looking for the love of God to be preached at their church. Only when churches and ministers preach about love and the cross of Jesus (instead of empty prosperity messages about money) will people feel love. 1 John 4:10 tells us that Jesus' death on the cross is love: 1 John 4:10 says Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He (The Father) loved us, and sent His Son (Jesus) to be the propitiation (appeasing sacrifice by Jesus on the cross to satisfy God) for our sins.

And Jesus loved sinners by becoming a willing sacrifice for them on the cross where he with joy died for them on the cross to set them free from the bondage of sin, the devil, and hell. John 10:17-18 proves that Jesus, unlike people, was willing to die on a cross for sinners to save their souls from hell. Jesus said Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Some men would scarcely or perhaps peradventure
die for a righteous or good man

Maximilian Kolbe died for Franciszek Gajowniczek (Francis)
and saved Francis' life

One man other than Jesus who died for a friend was Maximilian Kolbe. Maximilian Kolbe was in the German Auschwitz concentration camp in 1941. Maximilian was a single christian minister that never married. The rule of the Nazis at Auschwitz was if one prisoner escaped, ten men would be randomly chosen and locked in a cellar until they starved to death.

After a man escaped from the camp, the Nazis chose ten men to die of starvation in a cellar. One of the chosen men Franciszek Gajowniczek (Francis) was a married man with a wife and children. After Francis was chosen, Francis began to sob uncontrollably, begging for his life. Francis kept saying My wife, my children; My wife, my children.

When the ten men stepped forward to be escorted to a cellar to die of starvation, Maximilian Kolbe said that he wanted to take Francis' place and die for Francis. Maximilian said I don't have a wife; I don't have children. I want to take Francis' place. Francis was so stunned by what Maximilian did that he was speechless. Francis later regreted that he didn't tell Maximilian thank you.

Maximilian Kolbe was locked in a cellar among ten people to starve to death. Maximilian outlasted the other nine men and finally a Nazi soldier killed Maximilian Kolbe. Francis survived and was reunited with his wife and children. Francis lived to be 95 and before he died in 1997, Francis said that there was not a day in his life that he did not tell someone else about what Maximilian Kolbe had done for him.

Like Francis, there should not be a day in any saved saint's life that they do not tell someone else that Jesus died on a cross for their sins so they could live forever in the peaceful kingdom of God. Like Francis, Brother Bob tells everyone reading this to get saved, repent, stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

While we were yet sinners
Christ died for us

Jesus died for my good friend David Berkowitz
The former murderer called the Son of Sam
Who is now saved and called the Son of Hope

Some men like Maximilian Kolbe would die for a good man named Franciszek Gajowniczek. But Jesus died for sinners like my good friend of 10 years David Berkowitz ( a former murderer who now is saved and has blessed 500000, a half a million people, with the good news of our Lord Jesus). And the blood of Jesus has cleansed David Berkowitz of all his former sins and made him white as snow.

I'm honored to say that David Berkowitz is my good friend who I've written letters to for over 10 years. David will definitely be in heaven forever because he repented, confessed everywhere that Jesus is God, and daily tells everyone to believe the gospel that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again. There have been times in my life, when the only encouragement I received was from a letter from David Berkowitz whose prayers from prison kept Brother Bob alive. You can read about David Berkowitz's salvation and writings for Jesus at his website titled ariseandshine.org. David's website ariseandshine.org has Brother Bob's approval where you can read David's journal and writings about our Lord Jesus.

Remember someone can murder, kill, rape, and do evil; but if they repent and confess that Jesus is God and believe the gospel, they are saved and go to heaven. On the other hand, someone can be good, help everyone, and go to church every Sunday; but if they don't believe and confess that Jesus is God and believe the gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus), they die and go to hell. Good people without Jesus go to hell. Wicked sinners that repent and confess that Jesus is God and believe the gospel go to heaven like my good friend David Berkowitz.

I pray in Jesus name this little bible study blesses multitudes all over this earth with great joy, peace, and strength. Feel free to email Brother Bob anytime at rz9tlm@gmail.com or write to Brother Bob Malkin, 2233 Pinetree Lane, Apt. N., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. (614) 604-7133. Till we all meet again soon to lift up our Lord Jesus, everyone have a blessed day in Jesus name.
