Seven Reasons Why Jesus Left Heaven To Come To This Earth

Today we will learn the seven reasons why Jesus left heaven to come to this earth. The seven reasons why Jesus left heaven and came to this earth are to give us life, light, rest, division, judgment, fire, and finally to seek and to save that which was lost. Praise the Lord Jesus now while you read how Jesus became poor so we could become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 tells us For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich.

Friends, Jesus left the ivory palaces of heaven and came down to a barn in Bethlehem. Jesus left the presence of angels to come down to the presence of sinners. Jesus left the continuous praises of all the host of heaven and came down to this earth to hear the curses of men. Jesus left all the beauty of heaven to come down to all of the ugliness of this world and die for sinners on a wretched cross.

Now why would Jesus leave the glory of heaven and come down to this wicked world? First, pictured above we learn that Jesus came to this earth to give sinners abundant life. Jesus said at John 10:10 The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 1 John 5:11 also says And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Right now say thank you Lord Jesus for leaving heaven to come to earth and give me abundant life.

Second, Jesus came to this earth to cause division. Jesus said at Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on the earth? I tell you, Nay, but rather division. Friends Jesus came to inaugurate a warfare against the forces of evil. 1 Corinthians 10:3 says For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

Rejoice, neighbor reading this anywhere, Jesus has already defeated the devil at the cross of Calvary. The devil just tries to make people think there is a game to play and runs out on the field wearing his playing gear. Just tell the devil to look at the scoreboard saying game over devil you've lost; there is no game to play. My Lord Jesus defeated you forever by the blood of Jesus shed at the cross of Calvary. Tell the devil Hebrews 2:14 that the Lord Jesus through death on the cross destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil forevermore.

Third, pictured above we see that Jesus came to this earth to bring light. Jesus said at John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. Jesus proclaimed at John 8:12 I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

How comforting to know that when we get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and rose again, we walk in the light overcoming the depressing darkness of this world. Remember friends, everyday say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Tell the devil that the blood of Jesus has overcome and defeated you devil, evil must pass over me, and the blood of Jesus has cleansed me of all my sins. Daily ask Jesus to send multitudes of angels to bind the devil wherever you go, sending him to the pit of hell where he can not rise up again according to Psalm 140:10. Than in Jesus name ask the angels to daily send, loose, release, and cover your home, job, car, and anywhere you travel with the blood of Jesus.

Fourth, we learn that Jesus came to this earth to bring judgment. Jesus said at John 9:39 For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see, and that they which see might be made blind. Psalm 138:6 tells us Though the Lord be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly; but the proud He knoweth afar off. Friends stay humble and like John the Baptist say He (Jesus) must increase; but I must decrease. Remember, 1 Corinthians 3:7 says So then neither is he that planteth any thing; neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

OK, Fifth, Jesus came to this earth to give sinners rest. Jesus said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Neighbor, why not come to Jesus now today and receive rest? Leave your sins because Proverbs 13:15 says the way of transgressors is hard. But Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Jesus promised at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth; give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Alright, Sixth, Jesus came to this earth to send fire. Jesus said at Luke 12:49 I am come to send fire on the earth and what will I, if it be already kindled? How comforting to know that one day soon Jesus will cast the devil into the lake of fire where the devil will be tormented day and night forever and ever according to Revelation 20:10.

Finally, Seventh, the most important reason that Jesus came to this earth was to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10 tells us For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Above is one of Brother Bob's favorite pictures showing Jesus (the great shepherd) coming to this earth seeking to save any lost sheep.

Luke 15:4 describes the above picture saying What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with  me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Neighbor reading this anywhere, the main reason Jesus came to this earth was to find you my precious sinner friend and save you. Friends, Luke 15 tells us why Jesus left heaven to come to this earth; Jesus came to this earth seeking for lost sinners where a woman seeks for a lost coin, where a shepherd seeks for a lost sheep, and where a father seeks for a lost son.

To end up our bible study today, I give you a happy jingle to remember the above pictured scripture at Isaiah 1:18. Come (invitation) now (specification) and let us reason together (conversation) saith the Lord (declaration) though your sins be as scarlet (realization) they shall be as white as snow (purification); though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (transformation).

I had to add this classic gem from one of my favorite preachers J. Harold Smith. Don't be a tweedle dee, tweedle dum, pussy footin, compromisin, white washing, backscratching, ear tickling, soft soaping, tiptoein through the tulips. lovey dovey, feel good type of preacher, failing to tell people to repent and stop sinning.

I pray in Jesus name this bible study blesses multitudes of people all over this earth. Feel free to email Brother Bob anytime at rz9tlm@gmail.com or write to Brother Bob Malkin, 2233 Pinetree Lane, Apt. N., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. (614) 604-7133. Till we all meet again soon to lift up our Lord Jesus, everyone have a blessed day in Jesus name.
