Fix Your Eyes On Jesus

For this week's bible study notice the picture above and let us all be like the little children and keep looking to Jesus constantly. Here's some wonderful scriptures that tell us all to constantly fix all our eyes on Jesus Christ crucified with our hearts daily. Psalm 25:15 says Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 34:5 says They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Now Brother Bob says look again at the picture above and I claim in Jesus name wherever anyone is reading this bible study Lord Jesus let that person know that you are constantly watching over them and protecting them from all troubles. People might sleep and forget Jesus but Jesus never sleeps and like a shepherd is constantly watching over you all and preserving you all from all troubles. Psalm 121:4 says Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:7 says The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Here are a couple of Brother Bob's favorite all time scriptures about how Jesus loves us and never forgets us like a mother remembering her little baby and how unfortunately some christians forget Jesus spoken by the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah. Isaiah 49:15 says Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Jeremiah 2:32 says Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Brother Bob often asks people I meet in the supermarket or on a crowded bus, when was the last time you thought on the Word of God or took time to talk to Jesus. Unfortunately some people have answered weeks, months, and sometimes years ago. I encourage all who read this bible study to abide by Psalm 1 and delight yourself daily in the Word of God and meditate on the Word of God day and night. Joshua 1:8 tells us that we all will be prosperous and have good success if we all just take time daily to talk to Jesus and study his wonderful Word.

Brother Bob encourages all who read these words to be excited and joyful about the Word of God like you discovered a great treasure. Psalm 119:162 says I rejoice at thy Word, as one that findeth great spoil. Matthew 13:45 says Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Brother Bob tells you all that the pearl of great price is Jesus and when we give all we have to the poor widows and orphans we build treasure in heaven and eventually obtain Jesus who is the pearl of great price.

Remember, when we all see the kingdom of God some day, each of the twelve gates will have a pearl in them. Gate means door and Hallelujah Jesus is the door or gate to enter the glorious kingdom of God. An oyster creates a pearl when some dirt or sand gets in his shell and irritates the oyster and the oyster produces a pearl. Jesus suffered and was irritated at the cross of Calvary because of all our dirty filthy sins and removed our sins forever by His precious blood creating a beautiful pearl at each of the twelve gates of the kingdom of God.

Everyone, take a look at the picture above of how the soldiers that came to take Jesus to the cross fell backward showing that Jesus willingly offered himself to be sacrificed for all our sins on the cross. No man could kill or harm Jesus because Jesus is God. Jesus loved us all so much that Jesus himself rejoiced to die for us all at the cross of Calvary to deliver us all from sin and give us all eternal life. Philippians 2:8 says And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

The Holy Spirit showed Brother Bob that no man could kill Jesus because Jesus represents life. When Jesus was on the earth, Jesus put the undertakers out of business because no one died in the presence of Jesus. Jesus raised the widow of Nain's son from his bier (coffin) and raised Lazarus from the dead after Lazarus was in a tomb for four days. People tried to kill Jesus. The Pharisees tried to throw Jesus off a cliff or brow but Jesus walked right through the midst of the Pharisees unharmed. The Pharisees tried to kill Jesus on the cross by poisoning Jesus with vinegar but Hallelujah Jesus only tasted but did not drink the vinegar. Also Jesus had already given up the ghost before they came to try to break his legs. Therefore the Roman soldiers did not break Jesus' legs or any of Jesus' bones. If the Roman soldiers broke Jesus' legs, the Roman soldiers would have killed Jesus.  Hallelujah, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of Psalm 34:20: He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. Saint reading this Jesus loved you and gave His own life so you could live today. Today right now get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

OK, now take a look at the picture above again of the soldiers. An ancient puritan writer wrote that the soldiers or officers that went to apprehend Jesus were apprehended by Jesus. This quote reminds Brother Bob of Philippians 3:12 that says Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Like the soldiers above people try by works to apprehend or come to Jesus but Jesus by grace apprehends or saves us all. We didn't choose Jesus. Jesus chose us all by grace when we believe in Jesus Christ crucified with our hearts daily and accept his free gift of salvation. Ephesians 1:4 says According because He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Ephesians 2 8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The scripture that refers to the picture above is at John 18:6 and reads As soon then as He had said unto them, I am He, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Also, Brother Bob discovered that when the soldiers went to arrest Jesus the Pharisees got frustrated because the soldiers got saved and could not arrest Jesus. John 7:43 says So there was division among the people because of Him. And some of them would have taken Him; but no man laid hands on Him. Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought Him? The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? Wow, the soldiers who tried to arrest Jesus and crucify Jesus got saved.

OK, to end up this lesson about the soldiers who got saved by Jesus, the Holy Ghost gave Brother Bob a vision of how the actual blood of Jesus saved the soldiers that crucified Jesus. Here is a listing of all the soldiers that had the actual blood of Jesus cover them when they crucified Jesus that I believe cleansed them and washed the soldiers from their sins. Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. 1) The soldiers pounding the nails into Jesus' hands and feet had the blood of Jesus spray all over them. 2) The soldier placing the crown of thorns on the head of Jesus got the blood of Jesus on his hands. 3) The soldiers casting lots for the garment Jesus wore got the blood of Jesus on their hands because Jesus' garment was covered with blood from the stripes on his body. 4) Finally, after the soldier pierced Jesus' side, the blood of Jesus and water came out like a river on that soldier and washed the soldier from his sins.

Notice, not just blood came out of Jesus' side, but blood and water because the blood of Jesus washes us all from our sins. One of Brother Bob's favorite songs is There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Immanuel's veins; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains. And glory to Jesus, the fountain of Jesus' blood was recorded by the prophet Zechariah at Zechariah 13:1 that says In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.  Brother Bob believes the soldier that pierced Jesus' side got saved and washed by the actual blood of Jesus because Mark 15:39 says And when the centurion, which stood over against Him, saw that He so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

OK, to end up this weeks bible study, I give you all a picture of money with wings. Again, you might all say Brother Bob is at it again. But yes this picture is very scriptural. Proverbs 23:5 says Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. A puritan writer wrote in 1644 "Rich men have passed over this life, as men do pass over sleep, imagining themselves to have golden mountains and rocks of diamonds, but when they awake at the day of death, they find themselves to have nothing." Brother Bob encourages all who forevermore read this bible study to look to Jesus and the Word that lasts forever and not on money that flies away and disappears.

Take heed to the warning of Psalm 76:5 and do not trust and love money more than Jesus. Psalm 76:5 says The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands. In Hebrew this means that later in life, the stouthearted rich men found nothing in their hands. Hallelujah Jesus, money might disappear, but thank you Lord Jesus, you never change and remain forever and the true reward for us all is Jesus.

Saint reading this rejoice while you read these scriptures that prove that Jesus will last forever and never change. Malachi 3:6 says For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Psalm 119:89 says For ever O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven. Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Revelation 1:4 says John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne. Lets all be like the Apostle Paul and say Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of  the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. I pray in Jesus name saint after you read this that you can lift your hands to Jesus and say Lord Jesus I only need Jesus and rejoice in my reward Jesus only.

Finally, to end this week's bible study, Brother Bob asks you all a question. Do you want to do something good today? Brother Bob says the answer to this question is Thank God and Jesus because Psalm 92:1 says It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Also, Brother Bob gives you all a shortcut to put on the armor of God. Romans 13:14 says But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. In other words when you daily say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and look with your heart by faith at the cross of Calvary, you have put on the whole armor of God that is Jesus (who is the armour of light). Romans 13:12 says The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light (Jesus). And Jesus said at John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Finally here are two of Brother Bob's favorite quotes. 1) "A praying man will quit sinning but a sinning man will quit praying." 2) "Persecuted piety is better than prospering profaneness."
