God's Great Invitations For Salvation

God's Great Invitations For Salvation

The Lord Jesus gave many great invitations for salvation with eternal life, peace and joy in the Word of God. Jesus said at Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Jesus promised if you accept His free invitation of salvation by faith, His blood shed at the cross of Calvary will cleanse you from your sins and wash you white as snow (Revelation 1:5). Right now get saved and accept Jesus' great invitation of salvation; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

Jesus gave sinners another great invitation for salvation when He said at Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Whoever reads this anywhere on earth; You have a choice to either accept or reject Jesus' great invitation for salvation. If you remain neutral and do nothing about this blessed invitation it is a rejection that ends up in hell. Jesus said at Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth abroad. I pray in Jesus name that you accept Jesus' free invitation of salvation by faith and guarantee an eternal life of peace with Jesus in heaven.

Salvation is not in a plan; Salvation is in a person named Jesus. John 1:12 says But as many as received Him (Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. God's great invitation for salvation is only through one door named Jesus. Jesus said at John 10:9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.

Jesus was the one door in Noah's ark to be saved from the flood. Everyone had to enter Noah's ark through one door named Jesus to be saved. The snail had to crawl on the ground through the door to enter the ark; the eagle had to fly down to the door to enter the ark. And all sinners on this earth have to go through the door (Jesus) by faith to receive God's great invitation and gift of salvation. The ground is level at the foot of the cross. With Jesus there are no big I's and little you's. Good people and wicked people go through the same door Jesus to get saved; Rich people, poor people, young people, and old people go through the same door Jesus to get saved.

More Of God's Great Invitations For Salvation

The Lord Jesus gave several other great invitations for salvation. The Holy Spirit (that is Jesus) gave a great invitation for salvation at Revelation 22:17 that says And the Spirit and the bride say Come; And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. In other words, come as you are to Jesus (whosoever will) with your past sins and Jesus will receive you, save you, and remove all your sins past, present, and future.

Don't refuse to get saved with Jesus saying you have too much sin in your life that can not be overlooked and forgiven. Remember Revelation 1:5 says And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Notice that Revelation 1:5 does not say Unto Him that (first) washed us from our sins in His own blood and then loved us. Hallelujah, Revelation 1:5 says Unto Him that (first) loved us (as we were in our filthy sins) and then washed us from our sins in His own blood.

Another great invitation for salvation from Jesus occurred at Revelation 3:20 where Jesus said Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Just open the door for Jesus by faith and get saved no matter how you feel. Salvation is by faith in the true facts of God's Word and does not depend on your feelings.

To everyone that says I can't get saved until I feel that I'm saved
You don't feel salvation before you accept Jesus' invitation for salvation
You only feel salvation after you accept Jesus' invitation for salvation by faith

It's Not Feeling Faith Fact That Most People Want For Salvation

Be Like Zacchaeus And Quickly Receive God's Great Invitation For Salvation
Don't Be Like Esau And Reject God's Great Invitation For Salvation

Be like Zacchaeus and quickly receive God's great invitation for salvation. Luke 19:5 tells us And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him (in a sycomore tree), and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. This is the only place in the bible where a sinner was looking down at God and God (Jesus) was looking up at a sinner.

Jesus Said Zacchaeus Come On Down
Before The Price Is Right Was Ever Heard Of

Be like Zacchaeus and come down humbly from your pride while you make haste (come quickly) to Jesus and receive God's great invitation for salvation. Even though Jesus is high and lofty, Jesus will receive humble and contrite sinners that come to Him by faith. Isaiah 57:15 says For thus saith the high and lofty one that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy. I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Don't be like Esau and reject God's great invitation for salvation. You can delay getting saved and miss any future opportunity for salvation. Esau found no place of repentance (that is required for salvation according to 2 Corinthians 7:10) and could not find salvation though he sought it carefully with tears. Esau traded his birthright and salvation for his selfish need of hunger and a bowl of pottage (soup) and ended up in hell.

Hebrews 12:16 speaks about Esau saying Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place of repentance, thou he sought it carefully with tears. Don't be like Esau and delay getting saved risking eternity in hell with no future chance of salvation. Instead, get saved right now today. Jesus told us at 2 Corinthians 6:2 I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee; behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Don't Be Like George Wilson And Refuse An Invitation For Salvation
Prisoner George Wilson Refused A Pardon From President Andrew Jackson
Choosing To Stay In Prison Instead Of Being A Free Citizen

To View The Story About How Prisoner George Wilson Refused A Pardon

In 1829. George Wilson was sentenced to be hanged to death for murder. Before Mr. Wilson's hanging, influential friends pleaded for mercy to President Andrew Jackson on behalf of George Wilson. Subsequently, President Jackson issued a formal pardon dropping all charges. But when the pardon was presented to George Wilson by a warden for his freedom, George Wilson refused to accept the pardon, choosing to stay in prison ten more years instead of being a free citizen. This was the first time ever on record that a prisoner had refused a pardon.

This issue about how to handle a refusal of a pardon went before the United States Supreme Court for a ruling. Chief Justice John Marshall ruled that a pardon is an act of grace, proceeding from the power entrusted with the execution of the laws. But delivery is not completed without acceptance; It may then be rejected by the person to whom it is tendered and we have no power in Court to force it on him. In other words, a pardon is no good unless it is accepted by the one it is offered to.

History tells us that while George Wilson refused the pardon, he avoided being hung. A report in the National Gazette of Philadelphia dated January 14, 1841 suggests that George Wilson was in prison for ten years until released. He received another pardon from President Martin Van Buren that he accepted.

Don't be like George Wilson and refuse Jesus' pardon that sets you free from the prison of sin. Isaiah spoke Jesus' pardon at Isaiah 55:7 that says Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. Unlike George Wilson, accept Jesus' free pardon that not only pardons you (but abundantly pardons you with eternal peace and joy) and sets you free from sin, hell, and the lake of fire. Jesus promised us at John 10:10 I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. And Paul encouraged us at Ephesians 3:20 Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Like George Wilson who refused a pardon, we are all sinners without Jesus before salvation, enslaved in the devil's prison. Jesus told us at John 8:34 Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. But Jesus died on the cross at Calvary and gave sinners a free pardon and invitation for salvation. Today Jesus is offering you His free pardon to set you free from your sins with eternal life. All you have to do to receive this pardon is accept the pardon by faith for salvation. If you reject Jesus' free pardon, you will end up in hell.

Getting saved is as easy as ABC. A-Admit that you are a sinner. B- Believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. C-Confess that Jesus is God. Jesus Himself spoke His pardon to sinners at John 3:18 that says He that believeth on Him (Jesus) is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

King Solomon also stated Jesus' pardon at Proverbs 3:5 that says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord, and depart from evil; It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. Finally Paul stated Jesus' pardon at Romans 10:9 that says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will (unlike George Wilson) accept Jesus' free pardon, get saved, and be set free from sin, death, and hell.
