There Is A God In Heaven Part One

There Is A God In Heaven Who Sacrificed Himself For You And I

Today like Daniel who told King Nebuchadnezzar at Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets (to interpret dreams), Brother Bob will show you that there is a God in heaven that can bless us in many ways. First there is a God in heaven named Jesus who sacrificed Himself for you and I. This is proven by 1 Corinthians 5:7 that says For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. And 1 Peter 3:18 tells us For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

Friends, Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself for our sins on the cross at Calvary. Now the blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, today, and forever can wash away all our sins if we accept Jesus as our Lord by faith. 1 John 2:2 tells us And He (Jesus) is the propitiation (satisfaction to appease God) for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Right now get saved and become white as snow washed clean by the blood of Jesus where your sins will never be remembered. Repent, stop sinning, confess Jesus to be God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

A Poem Showing How Jesus Sacrificed Himself For You And I
The Cross Was His Own

He borrowed a room
On His way to the tomb the Passover feast to eat
They borrowed a cave
For Him a grave they borrowed the linen sheet
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own

He borrowed the ship in which to sit
To teach the crowd that pressed
He borrowed pots which were filled to their tops
And made wine the very best
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own

The thorns on His head were worn in my stead
For me the Saviour died
For guilt of my sin drove the nails in
When Him they crucified
But the crown that He wore
And the cross that He bore
Were His own, the cross was His own

Read Below David Livingstone's Response When Praised For His Sacrifice
As A Missionary To Lost Sinners In Africa

David Livingstone devoted his entire life to be a missionary in Africa in the 1800's winning millions of lost souls to Jesus. David Livingstone said people talk of the sacrifice I've made by spending so much of my life in Africa. Can that be called a sacrifice which is simply paid back as a small part of the great debt owing to our God which we can never repay.

Is that a sacrifice which brings its own reward of healthful activity, the consciousness of doing good, the peace of mind and a bright hope of a glorious destiny hereafter? Away with such a word, such a view, and such a thought. It's emphatically no sacrifice. Say rather it is a privilege.

Anxiety, sickness, suffering, or danger now and then with a foregoing of the common conveniences and charities of this life may make us pause and cause the spirit to waver and sink but let this only be for a moment. All these are nothing when compared with the glory which shall hereafter be revealed in and for us. Of this we ought not to talk when we remember the great sacrifice which He (Jesus) made who left His Father's throne on high to give Himself for us.

There Is A God In Heaven Who Sees And Knows Everything About Us

There is a God in heaven who sees and knows everything about us. Hebrews 4:13 says Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight; but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. And Job 34:21-22 says For His (Jesus') eyes are upon the ways of man and He seeth all his goings. There is no darkness nor shadow of death where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. In other words remember whenever we think no one's watching so I can sin in the dark, God is always watching everything and we need to daily deny our flesh and live holy for Jesus.

Jesus is Lord and can see all things. This was proven when Jesus said He saw Nathaniel under the fig tree before they met. Nathaniel said to Jesus at John 1:48 When knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

And think about Proverbs 15:3 before you sin. The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good. And think about Psalm 139 before you sin because Jesus knows everything about us. Psalm 139 says O Lord thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. And wow 1 John 3:20 tells us that God knoweth all things.

A Story About A Student Who Told His Teacher
Only God Knows The Answers For His Exam

An ill prepared college student was taking an economics exam
just before Christmas vacation.
And he wrote on his paper sarcastically
Only God knows the answer to these questions, Merry Christmas.
The professor graded the papers and wrote this note back to the student.
God gets 100. You get a 0. Happy New Year.

The most photographed site in Gatlinburg Tennesse is the sculptured head of Christ pictured above in Christus Gardens. This breathtaking marble figure of Christ is sculptured in such a way that the eyes appear to look in every direction. Regardless of where you stand the eyes of Jesus are upon you. Aren't you glad we have a Saviour named Jesus who always watches over us.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow And I Know He Watches Over Me
A Story About How God Comforts Us By Noticing The Tiny Sparrows

I glanced at the bird feeder and smiled. I could understand Jesus noticing if an eagle or a falcon or a hawk fell to the ground. These are the important birds that He created; the kind worth attending to. But a scrappy sparrow. They're a dime a dozen. Jesus said so Himself. Yet from thousands of bird species, the Lord chose the most insignificant, least noticed, scuffiest bird of all. A pint sized sparrow that even dedicated bird watchers ignore.

This thought alone should calm all our fears. We should feel significant and noticed because if God takes note of each humble sparrow; Who they are; Where they are and what they're doing; I know that He keeps tabs on me. Matthew 10:29 says Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. And Luke 12:6-7 says Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

There Is A God In Heaven Whose Word Is True
A Story About Why The Holiday Inn
Couldn't Build A Hotel On The Mount Of Olives

Years ago the Holiday Inn had planned to build a hotel at the Mount of Olives in Israel. They sent a group of engineers to prepare for the building of the hotel. After some investigation they said it could not be done. There is a geological fault under the Mount of Olives which is causing it to split.

Wow this proves that God's Word at Zechariah 14:3 is true that says Then shall the Lord go forth and fight against those nations as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives which is before Jerusalem on the east and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north and half of it toward the south.
