Alright, today we will learn that the Day of Christ is not the Day Of The Lord. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 tells us what will happen on the Day of Christ pictured above. This scripture says Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the Day Of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

Note that the RSV (Revised Slandered Version) and NIV (Non Inspired Version) perversion translations of the bible substitute the Day of the Lord for the Day of Christ in 2 Thessalonians 2:2. Only the KJV King James bible correctly lists the Day Of Christ at 2 Thessalonians 2:2. This is a big deal. If this scripture said Day of the Lord, saints would have to go through the tribulation. And all the saints will not be here for one second of the tribulation mess. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 tells us only he who now letteth (restrains) will let (means the Holy Ghost in saints holds back and restrains the appearance of the antichrist) until he be taken out of the way (saints getting caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds), And then shall the Wicked be revealed (The antichrist can not be revealed to start the tribulation until the saints are caught up to Jesus and leave this earth). These RSV and NIV translated bibles need to be placed in the trash. Only read the KJV bible which is the most accurate translation of the Word of God in English.

OK, let's see what happens on the Day of Christ (not the Day of the Lord) by studying 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3. This scripture tells us three things will happen on the Day of Christ. First there will be a falling away; Second all the saints will be caught up and gathered together unto Jesus in the clouds to be judged at the Bema Seat Judgment (which is not the white throne judgment), and Third the very second the saints are caught up to Jesus in the clouds and leave this earth, the antichrist, the son of perdition who is the man of sin will be revealed on this earth and start the 7 year tribulation as he confirms a treaty with Israel.

OK, now let's see why the Day of the Lord is not the Day of Christ. Pictured above we see that 2 Peter 3:10 tells us what will happen on the Day of the Lord. This scripture says But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which, the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Also note that 2 Peter 3:8 says But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

According to 2 Peter 3:8-10 the Day of the Lord spans a period of around a thousand years or more. The Day of the Lord will begin when Jesus comes as a thief in the night as the saints are caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds. But notice also that the Day of the Lord also includes the 7 year tribulation, 1000 year millenial reign of Jesus on this earth, the great white throne judgment, and ends as the heavens pass away where the earth is burned up before Jesus creates a new heaven and new earth for the eternal kingdom.

You see what an error it is to substitute the Day of the Lord for the Day of Christ at 2 Thessalonians 2:2. If this was so, saints would have to live through the tribulation included in the Day of the Lord. And many bible verses say that saints will not have to live through any second of the tribulation wrath of God. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 tells us And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. Romans 5:9 tells us Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 tells us For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Revelation 3:10 says Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

And finally Luke 21:36 says Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass (the 7 year tribulation), and to stand before the Son of Man (at the bema seat judgment seat that occurs immediately when the saints are caught up to Jesus who appears in the clouds). This is stated at 2 Timothy 4:1 that says the Lord Jesus will judge the quick and the dead at His appearing (this is the dead in Christ and those that are alive and remain (the quick) who are caught up to be judged at the bema seat judgment and given rewards when Jesus appears in the clouds). Jesus said at Revelation 22:12 And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me (Jesus will give saints rewards when he first appears to them in the clouds where the saints are caught up) to give every man according as his work shall be.

Friends if anyone gets saved, repents, stops sinning, makes Jesus God of their life, and believes daily that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again, they will not be on this earth for one second of the tribulation (these saints will be on a honeymoon with Jesus in heaven and will return with Jesus on white horses at the end of the 7 year tribulation to watch Jesus throw the antichrist and false prophet alive in the lake of fire). After this, all the saints will rule and reign with King Jesus in Jerusalem Israel for 1000 years on this earth in blessed peace because the devil will be sealed up in a bottomless pit for 1000 years. After the devil comes out of the bottomless pit, Jesus will cast the devil into the lake of fire, and burn up this earth. Finally, Jesus will create a new heaven and a new earth for the kingdom where all the saints will live forevermore in peace.

In closing, let me explain how the bema seat judgment differs from the great white throne judgment. The first picture above speaks about the bema seat judgment for all saints who believe Jesus is God where rewards are given for all the good deeds done to win and save souls. 2 Corinthians 5:10 tells us For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15 describes what will happen to saints at the bema seat judgment that all saints must appear at immediately after the catching up to Jesus in the clouds. The scripture says Every man's work shall be made manifest, for the day (the Day of Christ) shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.

You see saints will be rewarded for their good works and the souls they saved on this earth at the bema seat judgment. But remember your good works don't save you. Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast. Daniel 12:3 says Jesus will reward saints with stars in their crowns for winning souls to the Lord Jesus. Daniel 12:3 says And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness, as the stars for ever and ever.

But, also note that at the bema judgment seat some saints will suffer loss and lose rewards for failing to minister to lost souls. Take heed to the warning at 2 John 2:8 that says Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. I believe saints will cry when they see souls that they failed to minister to cast into the lake of fire at the great white throne judgment. This is stated at Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

These saints will cry and remember that they failed to tell these lost souls about Jesus. Take heed; a saint that fails to wins souls will suffer loss at the bema seat judgment and see lost souls at the great white throne judgment cast into the lake of fire These saints' tears will not be wiped away from their eyes until after the 1000 year reign of Christ and the great white throne judgment when Jesus sets up the kingdom. Revelation 21:4 speaks about the kingdom saying And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.

Isaiah 65:17 also says that in the kingdom all bad memories of lost souls and any bad thoughts will be removed; the scripture says For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Remember to give your life purpose win souls to the Lord Jesus. Tell people everywhere to get saved, repent, stop sinning, make Jesus God of their lives, and believe daily that Jesus died for them on the cross, was buried, and rose again so you don't weep for lost sinners cast into the lake of fire at the great white throne judgment.

In closing, note that the second picture above of the great white throne judgment is not for saints but only for dead unbelievers who rejected Jesus as God. These unbelievers die twice. First they die and go to hell and finally they die the second death at the great white throne judgment and are cast into the lake of fire forevermore. Wow, saints that believe Jesus is God never die. But, unbelievers who reject Jesus as God die twice.

The great white throne judgment is described at Revelation 20:12-15 and says And I saw the dead (note this is for dead unbelievers in Jesus as God and not for the saved saints), small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it ; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
