Who Else Purchased A Field Like Jesus To Claim A Treasure

Last week we studied how Jesus bought the world as a field with his own blood to claim his saints as treasure. Today we will look at how other people in the bible like Jesus purchased fields to claim treasure. God put all these stories in the bible about people purchasing fields to claim treasure to encourage us that Jesus owns this world and his treasured saints who are freed from any claim or bondage by the devil. Pictured above we see that the first time a field is mentioned in the bible occurred when Cain and Abel made offerings to God. Genesis 4:8 says And Cain talked with his brother Abel, and it came to pass when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and slew him. And the Lord said unto Cain, where is Abel thy brother? And he said I know not, Am I my brother's keeper? And He said, what hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

OK, note that Cain whose name means possession tried to claim possession of the field or world by killing his brother Abel whose name means breath. But, Abel's blood breathed out from the ground to God claiming ownership of the field as a sign that thousands of years later the blood of Jesus would speak better things than the blood of Abel as it bought the field or world and claimed to the devil that His treasured saints belong to Jesus' peaceful kingdom forevermore. Hebrews 12:24 tells us And to Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. Right now praise our Lord Jesus for buying all His treasured saints with His blood that speaks as evidence to the devil that all believers in Jesus as Lord are free from any bondage by the devil forevermore.

OK, pictured above we see that Abraham also like Jesus purchased a cave named Machpelah (defined as double portion) in the end of a field in Mamre (defined as strength) owned by Ephron, son of Zohar, the Hittite who was a descendant of the sons of Heth (defined as terror) to claim a burial ground for his treasured wife Sarah. Like Abraham, Jesus purchased the field or world with His blood to claim his bride (the treasured buried and living saints) as His wife to live with Him forevermore in peace in the kingdom.  Genesis 23 tells us that after Sarah died at age 127, Abraham wanted to bury her. A man named Ephron, son of Zohar, owned a cave in the end of his field named Machpelah which was in Mamre. At Mamre, the angels spoke to Abraham fifty years earlier and told him he was going to have a baby.

When Abraham asked Ephron if he could bury his wife Sarah at Machpelah, Ephron said take it, I'll give it to you. Abraham said, No, I want to buy it. Ephron said, but you're a prince of God, you can have this cave, my field, and any sepulchre you want in the whole country. Abraham said, No, I want the cave of Machpelah to be mine. I want to own and have the title to the cave of Machpelah after I buy it. I don't want there to be any doubt about who owns the cave of Machpelah in the field of Mamre.  Then Abraham asked Ephron, If you were going to sell Machpelah, what would you ask for it. Ephron said, Well, 400 shekels of silver; Pictured above Abraham weighed 400 pieces of silver (click click click click) and paid Ephron saying now Machpelah is mine and is not a gift. Abraham said now without a doubt I own Machpelah.

OK, pictured above, after Abraham purchased Machpelah, he buried his treasured wife Sarah in the cave of Machpelah at the end of the field in Mamre. Note that when Abraham purchased Machpelah, like Jesus, he bought the entire field or world (all the trees and all the borders round about of the field of Mamre). Genesis 23:17 says And the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about were made sure unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth before all that went in at the gate of this city, in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

As a final commentary about Machpelah defined as double portion and Mamre defined as strength, note that the saints like Sarah are buried treasure in this world and will receive a double portion of strength as Jesus claims His hidden treasured saints in this world and takes them to the blessed kingdom. Finally, note like Jesus, Abraham claimed his buried wife Sarah as his treasure before the sons of Heth (defined as the terror of this world) and the devil as a witness to this wicked world that any buried or living saint as the bride of Christ in this world belongs to Jesus as God.

OK, pictured above is what the cave of Machpelah looks like today in 2014. You might say Brother Bob why can't I see the cave of Machpelah in the picture above? The reason you can't see the cave of Machpelah is because a muslim mosque named Ibrahimi seen above has been built on the top of the blessed tombs of the patriarchs and matriarchs. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah are all buried in the cave of Machpelah which is also called the cave of the patriarchs and matriarchs. The only matriarch missing from the cave of Machpelah is Rachel, who is believed to be buried near Bethlehem, where she died during childbirth. Joseph also is not buried in the cave of  Machpelah because Joseph was buried in Shechem much later after the children of Israel came out of Egypt and returned to the promised land.

The following scriptures show us who is currently buried at the cave of Machpelah. Genesis 25:7 proves that Abraham is buried at Machpelah and says And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived; 175 years. Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre.

Genesis 49:29 shows us that Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob and Leah are also buried in the cave of Machpelah and says And he (Jacob) charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite. In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace. There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife, and there I buried Leah.

Now note again that pictured above the muslim mosque of Ibrahimi is sitting on top of the cave of Machpelah and the tombs of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebekah, and Leah. Today in 2014, the muslims have forbidden any entrance into the cave of Machpelah to view the patriarchs' and matriarchs' tombs. But Brother Bob has news for these muslims. One day soon Jesus is gonna come to this world and the muslim mosque of Ibrahimi is gonna crumble and the graves of the saints are gonna open up all over this world, and old Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebekah, and Leah are gonna run again.

Everyone buried in the cave of Machpelah is a part of the kingdom of God and the devil can't do a thing about it. The fact is, Jesus is gonna come and scattered all over the world are graves of his children and there ain't nothing gonna hold them bodies down. Today, the Jews, presidents, kings, queens, and mighty leaders of this world might be scared of the mosque of Ibrahimi, the Dome of the Rock , and the mosque of Omar in Jerusalem; But when Jesus comes, them things is going down brothers and sisters. The twin towers in New York City that fell down in 2001 ain't gonna be nothing compared to what Jesus is gonna do to Ibrahimi, the Dome Of The Rock, and the mosque of Omar. When Jesus comes back to this earth, Jesus will flatten that whole muslim mess and the saints will rule and reign with Jesus for 1000 years and forevermore in the blessed kingdom of God.

Friends, buddah, allah, and any muslim gods are just little g gods of this world. And there's all sorts of little g gods today in this world. But there's only one big G God named Jesus. And that's why the bible calls God with a big G, the God of gods. Deuteronomy 10:17 says For the Lord your God (Jesus) is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty and and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.

Everyone, now let's look at yet another example pictured above of Hosea who like Jesus purchased a bride named Gomer for only 15 pieces of silver. Like Hosea, Jesus married and purchased His treasured bride saints when we were wicked sinners like the prostitute Gomer. God told Hosea to marry a prostitute named Gomer, and Hosea obeyed the Lord and married Gomer. Hosea 1:2 says The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms; for the land hath committed great whoredom; departing from the Lord. So he went and took Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, which conceived and bare him a son.

But, after Hosea married Gomer the prostitute, Gomer left Hosea and again became a prostitute of the world. But, after the world took everything away from Gomer, the people in the world decided to sell Gomer as a slave. God said to Hosea, your wife's ready to come home now. She's run her course. She'll call you Ishi now which means husband. She'll come back now if you'll go get her. The world's selling her as a slave; Go down now to the used whore dealer and buy back Gomer as your friend.

Friends, like Hosea, when Jesus bought us as sinners with His blood, Jesus called us all friends and not slaves or servants. Jesus said at John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you; Henceforth, I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth, but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

OK, pictured above we see what happened when Hosea purchased Gomer from the used whore dealer of the world. When Hosea got to the slave auction, the auctioneer said, Here's a big strong woman; Hosea said No, I don't want her; Next the auctioneer said Here's a beautiful model, a perfect 10; Hosea again said No, I don't want her; The auctioneer looked at Hosea and said What's the matter with you are you crazy; You mean to say you don't want this strong woman who can work or this beautiful model who is a perfect 10; Hosea said No, have you got anything else. The auctioneer said yes we got an old wore out woman down here named Gomer ruined by the world and worth nothing. We'll sell her to you for bread and water. Hosea said, Well ah I'll take her. The used whore dealer looked at Hosea and said boy here's one of them suckers, we caught him at the car lot at the right time .

Friends, Jesus was like Hosea who bought us when the world rejected us as sinners. Jesus ignored the mockings and persecutions of this world and paid His blood to purchase his treasured saints to be his bride forevermore, overlooking their sins, as Hosea overlooked Gomer's sins. Right now say thank you Lord Jesus for buying me with your blood when I was a worthless sinner like Gomer, claiming me to be your blessed treasured bride forevermore.

The bible speaks of the above picture at Hosea 3 that says Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. So I bought her to me for 15 pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley. And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days, thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man, so will I also be for thee.

For my final picture today we see yet another person named Jacob in the bible who bought a field to claim a treasured saint who wandered away from home named Dinah. After Jacob bought a field in Shechem where Dinah his daughter was defiled, pictured above Jacob erected there an altar and called it Elelohe Israel which means The Mighty God of Israel. Genesis 33:18 says And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram, and pitched his tent before the city. And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for 100 pieces of money. And he erected there an altar, and called it Elelohe Israel.

Also note that Jacob like Jesus as God had a claim to the world or Shechem before he bought the field. Before Jacob bought the field of Shechem, Jacob stole his older brother Esau's birthright for a bowl of soup. Then Jacob stole Esau's blessing from his blind daddy Isaac by imitating his brother Esau. After Jacob bought the field of Shechem, he backed up and said, this is my land anyway, I got it by birthright; it's my land anyway, I got it by Isaac's blessing, but now it's my land because I bought it. Jesus also told the devil, these treasured saints belong to me because I created them, but now they truly belong to me because I bought them with my blood.
