Resurrection To A Sure Reward

How about the picture above to start out this weeks bible study of the hope that the dead in Christ will be the first to rise and be with Jesus in the clouds in the air. The bible verse that is about the picture above is 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and says For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (which is Michael called the archangel at Jude 9), and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The prophet Isaiah spoke about the above picture and stated at Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust, for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. The prophet Hosea also spoke about the above picture and stated at Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave. I will redeem them from death. O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave I will be thy destruction. Repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Saint reading this anywhere right now wave your hands and praise Jesus for destroying death by dying for you at the cross. Hebrews 2:14 tells us Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. 1 Corinthians 15:25 says For He (Jesus) must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15:55 further states O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saint reading this anywhere, praise Jesus for giving us victory over death. Jesus told us at John 8:52 If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. DL Moody described leaving this earth to be with Jesus as just a shadow of death. Remember to make a shadow you need the Light Jesus. Try it once and go into a dark basement and in complete darkness there is no shadow. But when you turn on a light, then a shadow appears. Hallelujah, Jesus is that light that is with you evermore even in thick darkness. Death is just a shadow and you can walk through a shadow and feel no harm. Isn't it comforting to know that Jesus as God dwells in even the thickest darkness. 2 Chronicles 6:1 says Then said Solomon, The Lord hath said that He would dwell in the thick darkness. Psalm 139:11 says If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Brother Bob has devoted this bible study to the soon hope of all the graves of the dead in Christ busting wide open rising to be with Jesus forevermore. You might say why Brother Bob are you so into seeing graves busting wide open. My answer to all my friends everywhere is that this is our hope of getting out of this wicked world which is not our home. Hallelujah what a wonderful day when we see all the graves of the dead in Christ opened and empty with the dead in Christ rising to be with Jesus in the air. Saint reading this don't miss that open air campmeeting with Jesus soon to come when we all will rise to be with Jesus in the clouds and worship Jesus forevermore.

The above picture is biblical and many bible verses talk about the dead in Christ leaving their graves to rise to be with Jesus forevermore. Matthew 27:52 says And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints which slept arose. And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Notice they appeared unto one another and recognized one another. Hallelujah, when we all reach Zion soon, we all will recognize our loved ones that have died in Christ. And look at the promise of 1 Corinthians 6:14 that says And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by His own power.

John 6:39 speaks about the above picture and says And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day. And I must quote the wonderful bible verse listed at 1 Corinthians 15:51 that says Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed; In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Saint, reading this today please choose Jesus right now, get saved, and in your heart by faith say Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose again. One day soon, like the picture above of Lazarus rising from the dead, all the people that have died, will come out of their graves to face either the resurrection of life or the resurrection of damnation. I pray in Jesus name any saint who forevermore reads this bible will accept Jesus as Lord, get saved, and believe Jesus died on the cross and rose for them so they can face a resurrection of life. John 5:28 says Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

A similar bible verse to John 5:28 was spoken by the prophet Daniel in the old testament. Daniel 12:2 says And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake; some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Take time to meditate on this wonderful gem from the word of God at Philippians 3:20 that says For our conversation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Now saint reading this anywhere since we know Jesus is soon to come, we must live holy and sanctified lives daily so we can be alert, awake, and sober when Jesus returns to take us home to the kingdom to live in peace forevermore. Romans 13:11 says And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. 2 Corinthians 7:1 tells us Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

You might say Brother Bob is there a reward at the resurrection so that I can overlook all the persecutions for Jesus that I endure in this wicked world. Brother Bob's answer to all this is yes most definitely there is a reward soon in the kingdom for all saints who overcome persecutions and trials of this evil world. Luke 6:22 says Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company; and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy.(In a prior bible study I told saints that are persecuted for Jesus to find the nearest restroom and leap for joy and I must clarify if you are in a Walmart restroom make sure the coast is clear with no one around and then leap for joy.) (I must testify that several times in crowded places I've leaped for joy for being hated by people for Jesus and even when crowds of people saw me they were blessed) for behold your reward is great in heaven; for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Mark 10:29 also speaks of a sure reward saints in Jesus will receive at the resurrection of the dead. Mark 10:29 says And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel's; But, he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life. Luke 6:21 says Blessed are ye that weep now, for ye shall laugh. Psalm 126:5 tells us They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jesus tells us if we as saints remember and bless the poor, that there is a sure reward in the kingdom for our kindness to many poor people. Luke 14:13 says But, when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and thou shalt be blessed for they can not recompense thee, for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Saint reading this if you are being persecuted for serving Jesus and need strength read these next two bible verses and when you read them, meditate on them and in Jesus name great strength will fill all your lives. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Romans 8:18 says For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Here's some more wonderful bible verses to strengthen saints that are being persecuted because of their faith in Jesus. Psalm 9:8 says For the needy shall not alway be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise O Lord, let not man prevail; let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, that the nations may know themselves to be but men; Selah. Hebrews 10:36 says For ye have need of patience, that after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Philippians 1:6 tells us Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Acts 24:15 says And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God and toward men.

OK, to end up this weeks bible study, Brother Bob wants to share a revelation that Jesus is the tree of life in the City of God at the new Jerusalem. I asked Jesus once Lord how can the tree of life be in the midst of the street and on either side of the river in the city of God at the same time. Hallelujah, Jesus told me I am the tree of life for I am the way, the truth, and the life and Jesus said he was in every place of the city of God. Revelation 22:2 speaks about the picture above and says In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The tree of life was also spoken about by the prophet Ezekial in the old testament at Ezekial 47:12 that says And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees (notice Ezekial stated here that Jesus represents all trees along with the tree of life) for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed. It shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary, and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Since the prophet Ezekial stated that Jesus represents all trees, I encourage all my friends everywhere to meditate on the following two bible verses that speak of various trees that are truly trees about Jesus. The prophet Hosea stated at Hosea 14:6 His branches shall spread, and His beauty shall be as the olive tree, and His smell as Lebanon. They that dwell under His shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine; the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard Him and observed Him. I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. Song of Solomon 2:3 says As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons; I sat down under His shadow with great delight, and His fruit was sweet to my taste.
