How Christians Can Defeat Sin

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
First Realize That Christians Can Sin

To defeat sin, first realize that christians can sin. Then rejoice that when anyone is saved with Jesus repenting and deciding to stop sinning, the blood of Jesus will cleanse away all sin and make that person white as snow. 1 John 1:7-10 speaking to christians tells us that christians can sin; But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us. Right now defeat sin; Get saved; Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

All people have two choices after they sin. Lost people without Jesus can by just good works choose to pay for their sins forever in the lake of fire and never be forgiven. Or lost people can choose to believe in Jesus where Jesus will redeem and pay for their sins with His own blood and forgive them forever with eternal peace. Without Jesus under the law, Job 10:14 says If I sin, then thou (Lord Jesus) markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity. But with Jesus according to Hebrews 10:17 Jesus tells us And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Some people say that christians can not sin according to 1 John 5:18 that says We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Note that this is saying that a christian's soul and spirit can not sin after salvation. But a christian's body and flesh can sin after salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 tells us that everyone has a body, soul, and spirit. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. At salvation, a person's soul and spirit are redeemed and no longer sin. But at salvation, a person's body can keep sinning (lost as a golf ball in high weeds) and will not be redeemed until the rapture when Jesus appears in the clouds. Romans 8:23 says that christians groan within themselves waiting (until the rapture) for the adoption; to wit the redemption of our body. Then after the rapture christians will receive glorified bodies that will no longer sin.

The apostle Paul explained that the flesh that can sin wars against the soul and spirit of christians. Even Paul the greatest christian that lived admitted that his body could sin. Paul said at Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me. Paul went on to say at Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am? Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Stop Feeling Guilty Because Of Past Sins
Realize That Sin After Salvation Will Not Remove Your Salvation
Once Saved Always Saved

Many christians believe that when a saved person sins that they lose their salvation. After salvation sin will not cause a christian to lose his salvation. Once saved always saved. We are not saved by our good works and constantly trying to regain salvation after we sin. We are saved by faith in Jesus alone; Ephesians 2:8 says For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Good works don't save; Only faith in Jesus saves.  And Titus 3:5 says Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His mercy He (Jesus) saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Finally 2 Timothy 1:9 says Who hath saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works but according to His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

Now I'm not giving christians permission to sin. If you are a christian and you sin, you won't lose your salvation, but you will suffer trouble and might even die when you keep sinning without repenting. Romans 6:1 says What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound. God forbid; How shall we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein. And Romans 13:14 tells us But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof. In other words daily deny your flesh and try to stop sinning. Remember Philippians 3:12 tells us to deny sin daily and strive for perfection; Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after if that I may apprehend (take hold of) that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

But remember good works don't save. If you got to heaven and boasted that your good works saved you, you would not need Jesus to die for you on the cross and save you. It's wrong to tell a drunk; If drinking causes you to be lost, then to quit drinking would cause you to be saved. Instead tell a drunk the truth; A person is lost because they don't believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore to get saved that person must believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus said at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. And Acts 4:12 says Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name (Jesus) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Trying to save yourself by good works after every sin is a works salvation that does not save. These people trying to get saved without Jesus by good works incorrectly say if living wrong takes you to hell, then living right will take you to heaven. No living right by good works without Jesus will take people to hell. The only way to get saved is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ without the merits of the flesh. You do good works after salvation to let others see Jesus glorified in you. After salvation, your good works will be rewarded after the rapture at the Bema judgment seat. I would not work my soul to save for this my Lord has done; But I would work like any slave for love of His dear Son. You don't work to be saved; You work because you are saved. Little Johnny could be a good boy and go to hell without Jesus. But little Bobby could be a bad boy and go to heaven with Jesus after a one time repentance.

Take time to read the following scriptures that promise eternal security and once saved always saved. Jesus said at John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish; Neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand; My Father which gave them me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I might look like a rooster, but I ain't ever been plucked from God's hand. Praise God that I'm not holding Jesus because my sins after salvation would not secure me. Instead, thank you Lord Jesus that (Lord Jesus) you are holding me with eternal security and no man (not even myself) can remove thy salvation.

Here are some more scriptures that proclaim once saved always saved. After salvation, sin will not remove salvation. 1 Peter 1:5 says Who are kept by the power of God (not our own power with good works) through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 2 Timothy 1:12 says For the which cause I also suffer these things, nevertheless I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He (Jesus and not ourselves with good works) is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. John 6:37 says All that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out (after salvation God will not cast out a christian when he sins). Ephesians 4:30 says And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Realize That Sin Removes The Joy Of Salvation
Also Realize That Sin Removes Fellowship With God

To defeat sin, next realize that sin will remove the joy of salvation. After David sinned by committing adultery with Bathsheba and murdering Uriah the Hittite, David lost the joy of God's salvation. This is why David prayed at Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy (God's not his by good works) salvation and uphold me with thy free spirit. Like David, don't allow sin (bitterness and unforgiveness) to remove God's joy of salvation. Remember the joy of the Lord is your strength according to Nehemiah 8:10.

And to defeat sin, realize that sin removes fellowship with God. Psalm 66:18 says If I regard iniquity (sin) in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. In fact the bible says that God does not hear the prayers of wicked sinners that are lost without Jesus. Proverbs 15:8 says The sacrifice (prayer) of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord; but the prayer of the upright is His delight. Therefore every time you are tempted by the devil to sin, deny the sin so God can hear and grant all your prayer requests. Remember daily do three things ( Word, Prayer, and Church) to deny sin and get blessed.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Realize That Sin Can Ruin Your Testimony

To defeat sin, next realize that sin can ruin your testimony. God will forget our sins after repentance but unfortunately most people will remember our sins. We forget what we ought to remember and remember what we ought to forget. Most people read 3 bible verses and forget them after 3 minutes; But most people will remember a preacher's one small sin for 50 years.

Solomon warned us to avoid small sins that could ruin your testimony. Ecclesiastes 10:1 says Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour; so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. In other words, sin can stop a person from witnessing for Jesus and ruin that person's testimony where people will not have the knowledge of God. Remember daily deny sin; don't waste time sinning; Instead witness Jesus everywhere and win souls for our Lord Jesus.

Remember after salvation it's wrong to say I'm saved and I can sin and do what I want. After salvation God owns you and you need to live for Jesus to have joy and peace. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price (Jesus' blood); therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Realize That Sin Will Remove Rewards In Heaven
Realize That Sin Will Remove The Millennial Inheritance

To defeat sin, next realize that sin will remove rewards in heaven. After the rapture, all christians must appear before the bema judgment seat of Jesus Christ. Christians will either receive a reward for their good works or suffer loss because they sinned and failed to live for Jesus. 2 John 8 says Look to yourselves that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

2 Corinthians 5:10 talks about the bema judgment seat saying For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. And 1 Corinthians 3:13 says Every man's work shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is; If any man's work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.

Sin also can remove a christian's millennial inheritance. According to Luke 19:15-27 christians that were faithful with pounds from Jesus, were blessed to rule over cities in the millennium. Therefore if you are faithful to Jesus and deny sin daily, Jesus will bless you during the millennium to be a mayor or governor over a city. 2 Timothy 2:11 says It is a faithful saying, For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him; If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He will also deny us; If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful; He cannot deny Himself. If you suffer with Jesus on earth, you will rule with Jesus during the thousand year millennium.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Realize That Sin Causes Sickness And Death

To defeat sin, realize that sin causes sickness and death. Romans 8:13 warns us For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. A christian that committed fornication with his father's wife died but was saved. 1 Corinthians 5:5 tells us that this christian was delivered to satan for the destruction of the flesh that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. If christians keep on sinning when they know they are doing wrong, God can take them home to heaven quickly before they can finish their blessed work for Jesus on this earth. Don't sin and avoid sickness and death by staying in the Word, praying, and going to church.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Remember God Will Chastise And Correct
Christians For Sinning

Remember that after a christian sins, God will wake them up to defeat sin by chastising and correcting them like a kind Father. After a christian sins, God chastens and corrects them because He loves them and wants them to stop sinning. A proof that you are saved is when God chastises you after you sin. Hebrews 12:8 says But if ye be without chastisement whereof all are partakers (in other words all saved people get chastened after they sin) then are ye bastards and not sons. It's a blessing to be chastised by God and corrected by the Word of God to avoid sin, trouble, and death.

Don't make excuses for your sin. Don't cover or hide your sins. Repent and confess your sins to God and receive forgiveness. And then forsake and stop sinning to receive God's mercy. Proverbs 28:13 says He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.  Remember a fault denied is twice committed. Be like David at Psalm 51:4 and admit you are a sinner to God. Tell God Against thee, thee only have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest and be clear when thou judgest.

How Christians Can Defeat Sin
Start Over and Forget Your Past Sins
Washed Away Forever By The Blood Of Jesus

To defeat sin, start over and forget your past sins washed away forever by the blood of Jesus. Remember God forgives you so forgive yourself and start living again for Jesus. Right now say the blessed quote from Carl Bard; Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. Determine today that you will start your life over new with Jesus with no guilt because your sins are washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Make a decision to obey Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

The Many Hopes With Jesus

The Many Hopes With Jesus
1) The Blessed Hope

With Jesus there are many hopes to encourage us with joy and strength every day. Without Jesus in the world there is no hope for encouragement. Hebrews 6:19 says Which hope (with Jesus) we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. In other words with Jesus our hope is like a sure stedfast anchor where storms and troubles around us will not move us or take away our peace. But without Jesus in the world according to Ephesians 2:12 people have no hope without God in the world. 1 Corinthians 15:19 tells us If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Right now get saved and receive everlasting hope with peace, strength, and joy with Jesus. Repent, decide to stop sinning, confess Jesus to be God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

The first hope with Jesus is called The Blessed Hope defined at Titus 2:13 that says Looking for that blessed hope (the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ in the clouds to rapture out the saints of God). Saints with Jesus have a blessed hope that one day soon Jesus will appear in the clouds where all the christians will be caught up to be with Jesus forever in peace. And Jesus encouraged christians that this blessed hope of His return would occur. Jesus promised at John 14 Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me; In my Father's house are many mansions (not rooms falsely stated in every corrupt translated bible; We're gonna get mansions according to the KJV bible and not just one dinky room). If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you; And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also. and whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

We know that the blessed hope where Jesus will return in the clouds and the saints get caught up to meet Jesus will occur because our hope is in God's Word that is the truth. Romans 15:4 tells us For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. King David told us at Psalm 119:81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation; But I hope in thy Word. And then Psalm 119:114 says Thou art my hiding place and my shield, I hope in thy Word.

Finally we serve our Lord Jesus who is called the God of Hope. Only Jesus gives us hope of eternal peace and joy forever; Mohammed, Buddha, or any other false religion do not offer any hope. But Romans 15:13 promises Now the God of hope (Jesus) fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. I've never met anyone that regretted having Jesus in their life. Jesus always makes a person better with joy, encouragement, and hope to overcome any trouble in this world.

History tells us that when sailors had trouble sailing around Africa to India, they named the troubled seas around Africa the Cape of Tempest. But Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias who successfully sailed around Africa to India renamed the peaceful seas around Africa the Cape of Good Hope. And saved saints with captain Jesus (according to Hebrews 2:10) have a good hope that will safely take them through the troubled storms of this life on the old ship of Zion that will soon sail into the beautiful harbor of heaven and dock safely. Right now claim the promise of 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace Himself (Jesus) give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
2) The Hope Of Having A New Body

The next hope with Jesus is the hope of having a new body. Philippians 3:20 tells us For our conversation is in heaven from whence also we look for the Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Saints will receive their new glorified bodies during the rapture. 1 John 3 tells us Beloved now are we the sons of God, and it doth not ye appear what we shall be; But we know that when He (Jesus) shall appear (during the rapture in the clouds) we shall be like Him (receiving glorious new bodies) for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

Everyone has a body, soul, and spirit. When a person gets saved their soul and spirit is redeemed. And soon when the rapture occurs and saints are caught up to be with Jesus, the saints' bodies will be redeemed where they will receive new glorified bodies fashioned like Jesus' glorious body. Romans 8:23 tells us that saints groan within themselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (at the rapture). In other words, when a saint dies before the rapture, their soul and spirit remains alive with Jesus in heaven while their fleshly body remains on the earth waiting for the rapture to receive a glorified body. 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us when a saint is absent from his body, his soul and spirit is present with the Lord.

Now when Jesus returns during the rapture, Jesus will bring with him the souls and spirits of the saints that died in Christ. This is promised at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 that says For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus (the dead in Christ) will God bring with him. Then at the rapture all the dead in Christ will receive glorified bodies for their souls. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 promises For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (instantly receiving glorified bodies) together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

A group in Melbourne Florida launched a rocket into outer space that contained the ashes of 10,330 dead people. This rocket continuously orbited 1900 miles above the earth. There was a reflective surface on the rocket that could be viewed through telescopes on earth by beloved relatives. Brother Bob says don't put my body or what remains of my body into a rocket to orbit this fading earth; Soon Brother Bob is leaving this earthly body and I'll have a new glorious body that will fly higher than any earthly rocket out of the milky way galaxy and above all the planets and stars to live in the new heaven with Jesus forever.

With Jesus our earthly remains don't need to be placed in a rocket constantly orbiting this fading earth. And our earthly remains don't need to be frozen for an earthly scientist to recreate life in the future. Everything on this earth (rockets with ashes of dead people and frozen remains of dead people) will all be burned up and vanish away. But with Jesus, after this earth gets burned up, saints will have new glorified bodies and live forever in the new heaven and new earth with Jesus in the glorious kingdom. 2 Peter 3:12 tells us Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of the Lord, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Nevertheless, we according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. And Isaiah 65:17 promises For behold, I (Jesus) create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.  Finally Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Now remember when a saved saint dies and leaves this earth to be with Jesus, their grave, tomb, or cemetery plot is only a temporary borrowed place.  Ain't no grave gonna hold a saints body down. Every saint buried in a temporary grave will soon be raised with new glorified bodies to live in heaven with Jesus forever. Remember Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb because Jesus only planned on staying there for three days. And after three days Jesus rose and He is no longer in the borrowed tomb. The angels proclaimed He is not here, for He is risen, as He said.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
3) The Hope Of A Reunion With Our Christian Friends And Family

The third hope with Jesus is the hope of a reunion with our christian friends and family. According to 1 Thessalonians 4:17 the first people we will meet in heaven will be our saved friends and family that will happen at the great reunion campmeeting in the clouds during the rapture. The scripture says Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them (the dead in Christ) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. How encouraging that before we all meet Jesus in the air, we can travel with our saved friends and family to praise Jesus forever. I'm glad I won't be alone to meet Jesus; I'll be with all my saved friends and family at the great reunion in the clouds to meet our Lord Jesus.

And how comforting to realize that we'll all know and recognize each other in heaven. 1 Corinthians 13:12 promises For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known. Moses died and God buried Moses where no one knew the location of Moses' grave. But on the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter, James, and John knew and recognized Moses and Elijah standing by transfigured Jesus. Like Moses who lives forever after death and burial in a grave, saints will live forever and be known and recognized in heaven in their glorious bodies. What an encouraging hope of seeing blessed saints like David, Moses, Elijah, Paul, DL Moody, CT Studd, Gladys Aylward, Julius Hickerson, Jim Elliott, and John Bunyan.  How encouraging that with Jesus there is hope after death and the grave. The wicked without Jesus have no hope after death and the grave. Proverbs 14:32 declares The wicked is driven away in his wickedness; but the righteous hath hope in his death.

On earth, when families have reunions, there usually is a blessed dinner with the finest foods. But the heavenly reunion of all the saints is better than any earthly reunion. At the heavenly reunion, there's gonna be a marriage supper that is better than any earthly supper or dinner. This marriage supper of the Lamb has been prepared for all the saints by Jesus; And Jesus is going to personally serve all the saints with this glorious feast. Revelation 19:9 tells us Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And Psalm 84:10 tells us For a day in thy courts (with Jesus in heaven) is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
4) The Hope Of Being Presented Faultless To Jesus In Heaven

The fourth hope with Jesus is the hope of being presented faultless to Jesus in heaven. After a person gets saved with Jesus, the blood of Jesus removes away all sin to be remembered no more. Isaiah 1:18 says Come now and let us reason together saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. When saints appear before Jesus, they will be faultless where all their sins will be washed away by the blood of Jesus. Jude 24 says Now unto Him (Jesus) that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

Even if the devil shows Jesus all the sins we did during our lives, Jesus will tell the devil that all His saved saints are faultless. Now that's a hope to rejoice about; We've all done some sins that deserve punishment in hell; But the blood of Jesus cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:9) and Jesus proclaims that all His saints are faultless.

Think about the blessed exchange that we received from our Lord Jesus. Jesus took our sin and gave the saints His perfect faultless righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says For He (the Father) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. The law couldn't save us and make us faultless; Only Jesus could give us hope of being faultless. This is stated at Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect but the bringing in of a better hope did (with Jesus) by the which we draw nigh unto God.

To sum it all up; The reason we are faultless is because our hope is in Jesus. The following bible verses tell us to have hope in Jesus which will make us faultless. Psalm 39:7 says And now Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee. Colossians 1:27 says To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. And 1 Timothy 1:1 says Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.

Now while you are hoping in Jesus, rejoice and sing My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame; but wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid Rock I stand; All other ground is sinking sand; All other ground is sinking sand. When He shall come with trumpet sound; Oh may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone; Faultless to stand before the throne.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
5) The Hope Of Eternal Life

The fifth hope with Jesus is the hope of eternal life. Titus 1:2 promises In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. And Titus 3:7 promises That being justified by His grace we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Right now say this quote and rejoice; When the mountains are gone; When the seas stop their waves; When the rivers stop running; and when the stars fall, I'll be alive forever praising Jesus in peace because I have the hope of eternal life.

The Many Hopes With Jesus
6) The Hope Of An Inheritance Reserved In Heaven

The final hope with Jesus is the hope of an inheritance reserved in heaven. 1 Peter 1:3 tells us Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled and that fadeth not away reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Saints have the hope of an inheritance in heaven because they are joint heirs with Jesus. In other words, everything Jesus owns belongs to His joint heir saints. Romans 8:16 tells us The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.

Saved saints have a lively hope to receive an inheritance in heaven that fadeth not away. Each saint will inherit property in heaven with their names on mansion doors that they will own forever without a mortgage or rent payment. Each mansion will exist forever on a street of pure gold transparent glass in a city of pure gold clear glass where there will never be night; it will always be day with Jesus; and there will never be any more pain, sickness, bad thoughts, or funerals.
