The Empty Cocoon

Let's learn what happens to people who repent, stop sinning, believe Jesus is God, and trust daily in Jesus crucified after they leave their earthly bodies. First remember that saved believers in Jesus as God never die; Jesus said at John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die: Believest thou this? But unbelievers who reject Jesus as God die twice. First unbelievers in Jesus as God die and go to hell. This is proven by the rich man who refused to help Lazarus. When this rich man died he immediately went to hell. Then at the great white throne judgment, all the dead unbelievers are delivered up to the Judge Jesus and experience the second death where they are cast into the lake of fire.

How comforting to know that saints overcome with Jesus according to John 16:33: These things I (Jesus) have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Therefore according to Revelation 2:11 saved saints are overcomers receiving this blessed promise: He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death (lake of fire). Saved saints with Jesus never die.

OK, to understand what happens to a saint who believes Jesus is God when they leave this earth remember that all saints have a body, soul, and spirit. 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. According to this scripture the very second a saint leaves his body on this earth, their soul and spirit is immediately present with the Lord Jesus. That saint is no longer in his cocoon shell body the very instant he leaves this earth. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 that saint's whole spirit and soul and body is preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now take time to look at the above picture of a caterpillar who leaves his cocoon and becomes a beautiful glorious butterfly. This change from a caterpillar in a cocoon to a butterfly is what saved saints experience when they leave this earth. The very moment that a saint leaves his empty cocoon shell body, he is in his glorious new body with Jesus. Note that when any saint leaves his earthly body, time no longer limits that saint. Isaiah 57:15 says that God inhabiteth eternity; Therefore when any saint is absent from the body, they are present with the Lord in eternity not limited by time. They can go back in time, have time stand still, or go forward in time beyond all time dispensations to receive their glorified body in the kingdom of God billions of years into the future. That saint is promised eternal life and can travel billions of years into the future rejoicing in his glorious body with our Lord Jesus forevermore.

According to time limitations, all the saints of Jesus Christ (dead and alive) will receive their glorified bodies during the rapture. This is stated at Philippians 3:20-21: For our conversation (defined as citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (that appears at the rapture): Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. After death, the bodies of sinners and the dead in Christ remain seen on present earth limited by time: The souls and spirits of the dead in Christ live forever with Jesus while the souls and spirits of unbelieving sinners go to hell and the lake of fire.

Like the beautiful butterfly pictured above with two wings who no longer is a caterpillar, saints also receive blessed glorious bodies when they leave their vile earthly bodies. Pictured above Philippians 3:21 promises Who (Jesus) shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby His is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

I've had many people ask Brother Bob how are the dead in Christ raised up? The bible asks this question and gives us the answer. 1 Corinthians 15:35-38 tells us But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die; And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain. But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased Him, and to every seed his own body. According to this scripture, by faith we know that Jesus will give a saint a glorious body the very instant he leaves his earthly body.

How comforting to know that according to the third picture, when saints are absent from the body, they immediately become present with the Lord in a glorious body. These dead in Christ can travel instantly in time to where their sleeping bodies transform into glorious bodies as they are caught up to be with Jesus in the clouds blessed by eternal peace forevermore.

Take time to carefully and slowly read the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 that says But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (the dead in Christ), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him (note that these dead in Christ are not in their graves; they are alive with Jesus who brings their souls and spirits alive with Him in the clouds to be united to their glorious bodies that were sleeping during the catching up of the saints). But remember, the dead in Christ are not limited by time and can instantly move to the catching up where they receive whole glorious bodies, souls, and spirits like Jesus. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord Jesus in a glorious body in eternity not limited by time in eternal peace.

People have also asked Brother Bob what happens to the dead in Christ who have been cremated where their ashes are cast into the depths of the ocean? Jesus showed Brother Bob that the answer to this question can be found by looking at how a caterpillar leaves his cocoon to become a butterfly. The butterfly is no longer in his shell cocoon; the butterfly is free from his earthly cocoon shell and can fly in glory to heaven in his glorious body.

Like the butterflies, the dead in Christ are no longer in their cocoon shell earthly bodies. If you go to a wake and see a loved one in a coffin, that saint like the butterfly is not in his earthly cocoon shell. And if a loved one gets burned and cremated, they are not in that cocoon shell. If I take a caterpillar's cocoon, crumble it up, throw it to the ground, burn it, and scatter the ashes over the ocean; that butterfly is alive and flying in his glorious body with two wings.

From this we learn that if any dead person in Christ is cremated, burned, and reduced to ashes that are cast into an ocean, like the butterfly, they are flying free in their glorious bodies. Remember it doesn't matter what I do to a cocoon; crumble the cocoon, burn the cocoon, or scatter the cocoon's ashes over an ocean; the butterfly exists and is flying free in his glorious body. It doesn't matter what anyone does to our earthly cocoon shell bodies after we leave this earth. When Brother Bob leaves this earth, I don't care what anyone does with my cocoon shell body. My cocoon will be empty and I'll be flying free like a butterfly in my glorious peaceful body with my Lord Jesus forevermore.

Alright, as you look at the pictures above, remember our glorious bodies will be fashioned like Jesus' glorious body. 2 Corinthians 5 tells us that we are naked in our earthly bodies; but we become clothed when we receive our glorious bodies. The scripture says For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven. If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. When we get our glorified bodies, it will be like putting clothes on and no longer feeling naked in our earthly bodies.

How comforting to know that in the first picture above like Jesus our tombs will be empty with empty cocoon shells. Buddha and Mohammed are still in their graves; but glory to God, Jesus is not in His tomb. Scientists have found no trace of the DNA flesh of Jesus after searching every piece of dirt in Jesus' tomb (no bone fragments, no pieces of hair, nothing but dirt). I got news for these scientists; let them look through every piece of dirt in Jesus' tomb; they'll never find any trace of Jesus' flesh from His tomb because Jesus is risen and lives forevermore. The angel proclaimed He is not here: for He is risen, as He said (Matthew 28:6). And Romans 8:11 promises saved saints But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (bring to life) your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Like Jesus, saved saints will have glorified bodies fashioned like unto Jesus' glorified 30 year old perfect body. Babies, elderly, and young saved people will receive new perfect glorified 30 year old bodies. Our new glorified bodies will be infinitely better than the best time anyone experienced on this earth. I once saw a movie of an elderly man and an elderly woman rowing on a boat to heaven. When they arrived at heaven, the woman was a beautiful model and the man became young and strong with perfect healthy restored bodies forever. And all the saved saints will recognize one another with great joy. 1 Corinthians 13:12 tells us For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Let's take a look at what Jesus' glorified body looks like in the second picture above. When Jesus appeared in His glorified body to the disciples, Jesus had flesh and bones (not flesh and blood because flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God). And note that Jesus in his glorified body was able to travel through walls and closed doors and eat fish and a honeycomb. Like Jesus, saved saints' glorified bodies will travel through closed doors and walls and can eat food.

The second picture where Jesus appeared in His glorified body to the disciples is at Luke 24:39. Jesus said to the disciples Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when He had thus spoken, He shewed them His hands and His feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, He said unto them Have ye here any meat? And they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before them.

For our final thought today about the glorified bodies that old testament saints will soon receive, lets look at the above picture and the prophet Ezekial's vision of the valley of dry bones for the whole house of Israel. Ezekial saw all the old testament saints' dry bones receiving glorified bodies of new sinew, flesh, and skin as they lived and became a great army for our Lord Jesus.

Ezekial 37:7-10 tells us how these old testament saints will receive glorious bodies. The scripture says So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

Ezekial 37:9 goes on to say Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breathe, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Ezekial 37:11 says Then He (the Lord Jesus) said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves.

This rapture of old testament saints will occur along with the rapture of the bride church when Jesus appears in the clouds. Note though that an earlier rapture of 144000 old testament Jewish saints (called firstfruits) occurs earlier after Jesus is resurrected from the cross (See 1 Corinthians 15:22-23, Matthew 27:52-53, and Revelation 14:4). The order of raptures is Jesus first, the 144000 who are firstfruits, then the bride church with the rest of the old testament saints called the harvest, and finally the tribulation saints called the gleanings.

Divine Revelations From Our Lord Jesus Christ

For our first revelation today let's look at Proverbs 28:1 pictured above that says The wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righteous are bold as a lion. Neighbor, keep living every day with our Lord Jesus and stop sinning and wicked people will flee from you when no man pursueth. Psalm 68:1 promises Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let them also that hate him flee before him. I a'int chasin the devil, but he runs away from me anyway. Just keep living for Jesus and then you'll look around you and all your enemies will scatter and disappear. Only when we sin and forget Jesus do our enemies appear and troubles occur.

Notice that one must be righteous and bold as a lion to stand and not flee from our enemies. And the only way we can be righteous is with Jesus; and the only way we can be bold as the lion of the tribe of Judah is with Jesus. Jesus is righteous because 1 Corinthians 1:30 says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Juda because Revelation 5:5 says And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda (Jesus), the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Friend reading this anywhere, get saved with Jesus today and become righteous and bold as a lion where your enemies flee and disappear. All you have to do is repent, stop sinning, make Jesus God of your life and daily believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again. Each day say I am crucified with Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Tell the devil the blood of Jesus has overcome and defeated you, cleansed me of all my sins, and evil must pass over me.

The two pictures above prove that only Jesus remains standing as the bold righteous Lion of the tribe of Juda while all sinners flee when no man pursueth. In the first picture above Jesus in the garden of Gesthemane was the only one left standing bold as the Lion of the tribe of Juda, while everyone else fled when no man pursued. The bible says at Mark 14:50 And they (his disciples and everyone), all forsook him and fled.

And even a young man in a linen cloth fled away naked from Jesus through the garden of Gesthamene. Mark 14:51 tells us And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on Him; And he left his linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

Notice also in the second picture above only Jesus remained standing while all sinners fled when no man pursued and did not stone the woman caught in the act of adultery. At John 8:7 Jesus told the crowd that wanted to stone a woman for committing adultery He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Then John 8:9 says And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

Now Jesus was the only one left standing with the adulterous woman because only Jesus had no sin. Hebrews 4:15 proclaims that Jesus was yet without sin. Since Jesus had no sin, Jesus could have stoned and killed the adulterous woman. (He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her). But Jesus showed mercy and loved this woman. Jesus told this woman at John 8:11 Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more.

We learn from these stories that only saved people who repent and accept Jesus as God in their lives remain standing as bold righteous lions that enemies flee from when no man pursueth. Jesus is the answer. Just the brightness of Jesus' coming again to be King of this earth for a thousand years will destroy the antichrist. 2 Thessalonians 2:8 says the Lord Jesus shall destroy (the antichrist) with (just) the brightness of His coming.

For our second revelation today, notice in the picture above that there are 66 books in the bible. 39 old testament books and 27 new testament books. Also notice that the book of Isaiah has 66 chapters which relate to each book of the bible. The first 39 chapters of Isaiah relate to the 39 books of the old testament. The last 27 chapters of Isaiah (Isaiah 40-66) relate to the 27 books of the new testament.

For example Isaiah 40 speaks about Matthew which is the 40'th book of the bible and first book of the new testament. Note that Isaiah 40:3 speaks about John the Baptist saying the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isn't it amazing that Matthew Chapter 3 also talks about John the Baptist saying In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea. And wow, it's verse 3 of Isaiah 40 that speaks about John the Baptist. Isaiah 40 verse 3 is a reflection of Matthew chapter 3 both about John the Baptist. The bible truly is a blessed book that will remain forever.

Now notice that the 66'th book of the bible is the book of Revelation. And wow Isaiah 66 speaks about the book of Revelation's new heaven and new earth. Isaiah 66:22 says For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. Revelation 21:1 says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

For our third revelation today as you look at the picture above, Brother Bob asks you this question. What is the only food that never spoils and can be preserved for thousands of years? The answer is honey. There is a jar of honey that is 5500 years old that is fresh and will never spoil. It would be an honor for Brother Bob to eat this 5500 year old honey.

The reason honey never spoils is because the Word (Jesus) is sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb according to Psalm 19:10. The Word Jesus like honey never spoils and remains forever. Psalm 119:89 says For ever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven. Jesus said at Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Friend reading this anywhere; Think about this. The only book that has lasted from the beginning of time until today is the bible. Many kings, nations, and rulers have faded away. But the Word of God and Jesus has always remained like honey. The bible is like forever opening a christmas present where you constantly receive new blessings.

It's amazing to me that I'm never bored with the bible. I could read the same bible verse a thousand times and Jesus could reveal a new revelation each time. But the fading riches and things of this world become boring and wax old. Thank you Jesus that we always learn something new from your Word that never grows old or boring. Friends everywhere keep searching for the infinite new truths revealed by the Word of God. You will never be bored about the bible. John 21:25 proves that there are infinite new truths to learn from the Word of God saying And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

SOME BLESSED SAYINGS

The one letter that separates a sinner from a saint is the letter L
Sinners love the world
Saints love the word

Not the blood+water
Not the blood+works
Not the blood+wafers
But the Blood of Christ+nothing

They asked a 95 year old saint Do you love Jesus?
He replied, I'll tell you something better.
Jesus loves me.

I pray in Jesus name these teaching bless multitudes on this earth with peace and strength. The Faith Of Jairus

SOME THOUGHTS BEFORE TODAY'S BIBLE STUDY

A POEM ABOUT HUCKLEBERRY FINN

Finn and Huck were best of friends
When Finn up and died
They said
No need to worry
Huck (will bury) Finn

A STORY ABOUT A 45 YEAR OLD MAN WHO DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO CHURCH

A mother told her 45 year old son Get up it's time to go to church.
The son rolled over in his bed and said
Give me one good reason why I should go to church today.
The mother replied
I'll give you three good reasons.
Number 1-Your're saved and saved people should go to church.
Number 2-You're 45 years old and a 45 year old knows that he belongs in church.
Number 3-You're the Pastor, what am I gonna tell everybody if you don't get out of bed and go to church.

The story above is an example of what we are seeing in these last days when the love of many is waxing cold with a great falling away before the appearance of the antichrist. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 tells us Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. Many people today have rejected the God that became a man (Jesus) and are getting ready for the man who will claim to be God (the beast antichrist).

But friends be of good cheer, 2 Thessalonians 2:7 promises he who now letteth (holds back) will let (hold back the appearance of the antichrist), until he be taken out of the way (saints getting caught up before the tribulation) and then shall the Wicked be revealed (the antichrist can't be revealed to start the tribulation with a peace treaty with Israel stated in Daniel 9:27 until the saints are caught up to be with Jesus). Saints won't be on this earth for one second of the tribulation mess hallelujah. I a'int lookin for the antichrist; I'm lookin for the Christ.

OK, for today's lesson let's see how the faith of a father named Jairus healed and raised his daughter from the dead. Mark 5:22 describes the first picture above saying And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and when he saw Him (Jesus) he fell at his feet. And besought Him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death; I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him, and much people followed Him, and thronged Him.

Note that Jairus did not go to the pharmacy or a doctor to have his daughter healed. Jairus went to the feet of Jesus to heal his daughter by faith. As a result, Jairus' faith by trusting Jesus to heal his daughter raised his little girl from the dead. Jesus went to Jairus' house and raised his little girl from the dead by saying Talitha cumi Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

Notice also in the second picture above another man who by faith got healed at the feet of Jesus. A wild crazy man in the tombs of the Gadarenes who ran around a cemetery naked all day got healed at the feet of Jesus. Luke 8:35 describes how this crazy nut got healed saying that they found the man, out of whom the spirits were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind, and they were afraid. Notice that when this nut got at the feet of Jesus, he got saved and in his right mind by putting on clothes. Jesus causes people to cover up their flesh and have a right mind where they no longer are insane and show off their flesh to the world. After this crazy man of Gadarenes got saved, he wrote and published books in the city of Decapolis where his testimony saved multitudes.

Friend reading this anywhere today, I pray in Jesus name that you be like Jairus and the blessed man from Gadarenes and worship Jesus as God at the feet of Jesus. Right now get saved, repent, stop sinning, and confess Jesus as your God, believing that Jesus died for you on the cross, was buried, and rose again.

OK, let's look again at how Jairus' faith healed his daughter. When Jairus faced trouble and needed a miracle for his dead daughter, Jairus sought help from Jesus instead of anyone in this unreliable world. Jairus remembered the promises of Psalm 107 pictured above and how the children of Israel cried unto the Lord Jesus (instead of unreliable friends and doctors of the world) and were delivered out of all their troubles. Like Jairus and the children of Israel, friend anywhere cry to Jesus for help (not anyone in this world) when you are in trouble, and Jesus will deliver you out of all your distresses.

Take time to read below what happened each time the children of Israel cried unto the Lord Jesus for help from their troubles in Psalm 107. Psalm  107:4 says They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way, they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. Psalm 107:12 goes on to say Therefore He brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help (friend if you also have none to help call on Jesus and he will save you) Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

Then Psalm 107:18 says Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble; and He saveth them out of their distresses. And finally Psalm 107:25 tells us For He commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven; they go down again to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like  a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and He bringeth them out of their distresses. CONCLUSION: Call unto Jesus like Jairus instead of this world whenever you face trouble, and Jesus will save you out of all your distresses.

OK, let's talk some more about how the faith and prayers of Jairus healed and raised his daughter from the dead. After Jairus asked Jesus to come to his house and heal his daughter, Mark 5:35 says a ruler of the synagogue told Jairus, Thy daughter is dead; why troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the ruler of the synagogue (Jairus), Be not afraid, only believe. Like Jairus, if we face troubles in this world, if we trust in Jesus, Jesus will tell us be not afraid, only believe.

Our faith in the Lord Jesus will overcome any problem in this world, and Jesus will deliver us out of all our troubles. 1 John 5:4 tells us For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (note that it's our faith in Jesus that overcomes any trouble in this world). Every day say I am crucified with Christ and covered by the blood of Jesus. Tell the devil the blood of Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever has overcome and defeated you devil, evil must pass over me, and the blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sins. Who is he that overcometh the world; but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Alright, let's continue with today's story about how Jairus' faith healed his daughter. Pictured above we see that when Jesus arrived at Jairus' house, Mark 5:40 says many laughed Him to scorn. But when He (Jesus) had put them all out, He taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with Him (Peter, James, and John), and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And He took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Note that the little girl could not pray for herself. It was her daddy Jairus' prayers and faith that caused Jesus to heal and raise his daughter from the dead. Remember our prayers for anyone in trouble will save and heal them. Four men's faith and prayers by lowering their crippled friend through a roof to Jesus healed the lame man. Jesus said he saw their (the four men's) faith, not his (the lame man's faith) and healed the crippled man. Question? How many men did it take to patch the roof after the lame man was healed by Jesus at Mark 2. Answer: No less than 5. The 4 men and the healed lame man were happy to patch the roof after the crippled man took up his bed and walked.

Like Jairus, there were other examples where people's prayers and faith healed their friends. Many people in a church prayed day and night that Peter would be set free from prison. Their prayers caused an angel to break the prison chains on Peter and open three iron gates and set Peter free from prison. Aaron, Hur, and Moses' prayers for Joshua allowed Joshua to get the victory over the enemy Amalekites.

Jairus' faith reminds me of Noah pictured above. Noah told the people in his land for 120 years to repent, stop sinning, and get on the ark he was building to escape a flood coming to destroy the world. Notice the man in the picture above pointing to his head mocking Noah calling him a lunatic. Noah ignored the persecutions and mockings and kept building the ark. As a result, Noah and his family were saved from the flood while all his persecutors and mockers were destroyed in a flood.

Jairus, like Noah, had to have faith when people laughed and mocked saying Jairus, your daughter is dead and not sleeping like Jesus says. But Jairus chose to ignore the mocking and persecutions; as a result, Jairus' faith caused Jesus to heal his daughter. Note that Jesus did not allow any of these mocking unbelievers to witness the raising of Jairus' little daughter from the dead. Mark 5:40 says Jesus put out all the scoffers and did not allow them to enter Jairus' house. People that mock Jesus in unbelief do not see miracles; only believers who have faith in Jesus to deliver them from the troubles of this world will witness supernatural miracles and rejoice. Only Peter, James, John, Jairus, Jairus' wife, and Jesus who had faith to believe the impossible witnessed the damel's miracle of being raised from the dead.

Finally, we see that Jairus had faith to trust in one word from Jesus (arise). When Jesus told Jairus' daugher arise, the little girl was raised from the dead. Friend reading this anywhere be like Jairus and have faith to daily believe the promises of God's Word. One day soon, Jesus will say to all the dead in Christ who are sleeping like this little damsel arise, and the dead in Christ will be caught up to the clouds to live in peace forevermore with those that are alive and remaining on this earth. Ephesians 5:14 tells us Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

It's a blessing to know that anyone who is a christian and believes Jesus is God does not die. Jesus says that christians who believe Jesus is God sleep and do not die. How comforting to know that to be absent form the body is to be present with the Lord. Now christians are like caterpillars in cocoon fleshly bodies. But soon we will leave our cocoon fleshly bodies and get glorified new bodies with wings like a butterfly and fly away to be at peace with our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4 says the dead in Christ are sleeping and will one day soon awake from their sleep and live forevermore with Jesus in the kingdom. But, unbelievers who do not believe Jesus is God die twice. First an unbeliever dies on this earth and is buried and goes to hell. Then unbelievers in Jesus as God die a second death at the great white throne judgment where unbelievers in Jesus as God are cast into the lake of fire.

SINCE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT FAITH HERE'S
A STORY ABOUT A BLIND MAN AND HIS LAMP

One day a blind man pictured above was walking with his lamp.
A friend asked the blind man
Why are you carrying a Lamp if you are blind?
The blind man replied
Even though I can't see anyone passing by me
I carry this Lamp to protect me from harm
so no man steps on me.

Saints also by faith need to daily carry the Lamp Jesus with them
walking by faith and not by sight
for protection from the unseen principalities, powers,
rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12 says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. But be of good cheer, Jesus promised at John 16:33 with Jesus saints will overcome this world.

FAITH BELIEVES THE INVISIBLE
RECEIVES THE INCREDIBLE
DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE

A LITTLE STORY ABOUT THE FAITH OF PILOTS

Pilots of planes use instruments to fly by faith when they cannot see.
Saints must be like these pilots and live by faith and not by sight.
When the world and friends around us fail;
Saints like these pilots can mount up with wings as eagles
and faithfully fly in peace above the troubles of this world
by the instrument of the Word of God.
