Weapons That Are A Testimony; The Spirit, The Water, And The Blood

     Notice the picture above of David defeating Goliath in the name of the Lord Jesus with five smooth stones whose names are J E S U S. This message is about the testimonies in heaven and in earth that defeat and destroy the devil. Keep the focus daily on the Lord Jesus but don't ignore the devil. When Jesus cast out devils, Jesus didn't talk to the devils all day. Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. In other words think on the Lord Jesus and the KJV Word of God but don't ignore the devil.

     The Lord Jesus told the devils in the man living in the tombs of Gadarenes what is your name? When the devils said legion, Jesus said Go and was finished with those devils. The legion devils (6826 devils) went into swine and drowned in the water. A Roman legion was a body of soldiers during the time of Caesar Augustus that consisted of 6826 men; 6100 foot soldiers (infantry) and 726 horsemen (cavalry). 

     James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jesus said at Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

     1 John 5:7 speaks about the testimonies in heaven and in earth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. Now it's interesting to note that the Greek definition for the words listed above bear record and bear witness is to give a testimony. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Notice that the Spirit, the water, the blood, and the KJV Word of God give a word of testimony that overcomes and defeats the devil.

     The three weapons in the earth that give a word of testimony and overcome the devil are the Spirit, the water, and the blood of Jesus. Use these weapons daily to overcome and defeat the devils. Ephesians 6:12 says For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 2 Corinthians 10:3 tells us For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; 

     Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. In other words whenever a bad thought comes into our minds from the devil, tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and look by faith at Jesus on the cross of Calvary, and I promise you that instantly the bad thought will disappear, and you will receive peace. In fact try this, if anyone looks by faith at the cross of Jesus, it's impossible to think a bad thought, because the bad thought of the devil can't get through the blood of Jesus (the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever). 

     David used the name of the Lord Jesus who is the KJV Word of God to defeat the giant Goliath. Let's first learn how water in the earth is a weapon and gives a word of testimony to defeat the devil. Water is called the Word of God that is a weapon against the devil. Ephesians 5:26 says That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word (who is the Lord Jesus). David's weapon was Jesus and the Word of God (water) to defeat his enemy Goliath. Mark 16:17 tells us that the name of the Lord Jesus will cast out the devil. Mark 16:17 says And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name (the name of Jesus) shall they cast out devils.

      1 Samuel 17:45 says Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. Notice the result of how the Word of God who is the Lord Jesus called water in the earth testified and defeated the devil Goliath.1 Samuel 17:49 says And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

Brother Bob's Testimony About The Name Above All Names Called Jesus

     The name of Jesus is so powerful that according to Mark 16:17, the name of Jesus will cast out devils. Brother Bob needs to give you a blessed testimony about the name of Jesus. Forty years ago almost every week someone was breaking into my apartment and car and stealing things. Jesus told me to do what Mark 16:17 said and write on a piece of paper in bold black letters JESUS to make the devil flee because the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The Word of God is true. For forty years I've always put the name of JESUS on the outside door of my apartment and in my car I've always had an I LOVE JESUS air freshener, and for forty years nothing has been stolen or taken from my apartment or car except a bible that a thief who got convicted after he broke into my 1995 Toyota Tercel stole. I got so happy I wrote the name JESUS over my bed, on the bedroom door, bathroom door, on the kitchen wall, on the refrigerator and freezer, and on my cellphone and computer and I've really had a blessed apartment. Hallelujah thank you Father for naming your son JESUS. 

      Place the name Jesus on your front door (the outside of the front door for everyone to see), back door, bathroom door, bedroom door, on the kitchen wall, and over your bed and in Jesus name I promise that according to the Word of God, the devil will not harm your house or steal anything in your house. Place the name of Jesus on anything you do not want the devil to steal and the item you put the name of Jesus on will not be stolen or harmed. The name of Jesus will keep you and your belongings safe from any thief or harm. Every time you close your front door and see the name of Jesus, you will rejoice because the name Jesus protects your home from harm. The name of Jesus is better than any home security alarm.

     When I told a brother that I put the name Jesus on the outside of my home and that nothing for 43 years was ever harmed or stolen, the brother mocked and made fun of me saying how could a paper with black ink saying Jesus protect you. The next week that brother had 500 dollars stolen from his home and said Brother Bob I apologize because the name of Jesus casts out the devils. This brother told me that he would place the name of Jesus on his home and everything.

     Notice the picture above of Elijah who used the unquenchable fire of the Holy Spirit as a weapon to defeat the devils when he killed 450 false prophets of Baal and 400 false prophets of the groves. When anyone gets saved with the Lord Jesus, that person receives the Holy Spirit and fire. The fire of the Holy Spirit is a weapon to daily use  to burn up the root and branch of witchcraft and evil around you. The bible tells us that the fire of the Spirit is a weapon in the earth that burns up the root and branch of witchcraft and evil giving a word of testimony to overcome the devil.

     Malachi 4:1 says For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. Don't be afraid of the Spirit's fire because Isaiah 43:2 says When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. The three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace were not burned when they were thrown into the fire and no smell of smoke was upon them. Jesus the Son of God was with the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace and removed the chains on these Hebrew boys. The Holy Spirit's unquenchable fire is a weapon against the devil that will destroy the devil, but the fire of the Spirit will bless any saint and set that saint free. Hebrews 12:29 says For our God is a consuming fire.

     The fire of the Spirit is a weapon that will make the devil appear but the fire of the Spirit will also destroy the devil. Be like the Apostle Paul and shake the snake, destroying the devil with the Spirit's fire. Acts 28:3 speaks about when a snake bit Paul on the island of Melita and how Paul shook off the snake into the fire and destroyed the devil (represented by the snake). And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. 

     And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. We should all be like the Apostle Paul and when the devil appears, keep praising Jesus and shake the snake (the devil) back into God's fire that is a weapon to destroy the devils. Shake, shake, shake, Shake the devil off, In the name of Jesus I'm going to shake the devil off.

     The picture above of Elijah praying for God to answer his prayer by fire proves that God uses the weapon of fire to silence the devil. After the fire fell in the picture above the devil and his false prophets of Baal and the groves were destroyed. Elijah said at 1 Kings 18:37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there. I thought that water puts out fire but the Lord Jesus did a miracle with Elijah and the fire put out the water when the fire licked up the water in the trench.

     The blood of the Lamb Jesus is the most powerful weapon to overcome and defeat the devil. Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus), and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Pictured above we see that the children of God in Egypt believed that the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their door would protect them from the angel of death and any plague. God blessed the children of God in Egypt and caused the angel of death to pass over their houses when that angel saw the blood of the Lamb Jesus. 

     But the angel of death killed the firstborn children of the Egyptians because the Egyptians did not have the blood of the Lamb Jesus on their doors. Exodus 12:13 says And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

     I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this bible study will tell the devils daily that I am crucified with Jesus Christ according to Galatians 2:20. While you look by faith with your heart at Jesus Christ crucified daily say with Jesus' stripes I am healed according to Isaiah 53:5. Then ask the angels of God to daily in Jesus name send the blood of Jesus over yourself, your home, car, and anywhere you travel. Finally tell the devils daily that the blood of Jesus that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8 has overcome and defeated the devils.

      The blood of Jesus will protect people from any plague. Psalm 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

     The blood of Jesus is our greatest protection against the devils and this wicked world. Get saved with Jesus and overcome the devils and any trouble in this world. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. 1 John 5:11 promises that Jesus will give you eternal life. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Why Did Jesus Say To Forgive 70x7?

     To close out today's bible study, let's see how valuable the blood of the Lamb Jesus is to God. You might say what does the picture above saying 70x7 tell us. To understand the meaning of 70x7, let's look at some bible scriptures that use the numbers 70 and 7.

     First, let's look at what happened to Cain after he slew Abel. Genesis 4:15 says And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. God said 7 fold vengeance would be taken against anyone who slayed and shed Cain's blood.

     And five generations later, another man named Lamech slew a man to his wounding, and another young man to his hurt. After Lamech killed these two men, Lamech told his two wives, if Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. Genesis 4:23 says And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. God said 77 fold vengeance would be taken against anyone who slayed and shed Lamech's blood.

     Peter asked Jesus at Matthew 18:21, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Notice how valuable the shed blood of Cain, Lamech, and especially the Lord Jesus is to God. But God values and respects the blood of the Lamb Jesus 7 times more than Lamech's blood and 70 times more than Cain's blood. Friends, like God, we also need to respect the blood of Jesus that has cleansed us from all our sins.

     Notice that Jesus said to forgive 70x7 instead having 70+7 vengeance against your enemies. The multiplied forgiveness of 70x7=490 blessings to our enemies with Jesus is greater than the 70+7=77 vengeance under the law. Romans 10:4 says For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. The vengeance under the law was only a schoolmaster to reveal sin and bring sinners to Jesus by faith. Galatians 3:24 says Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. After salvation with Jesus we forgive our enemies 70x7 (seventy times seven) instead of returning 70+7 (seventy and sevenfold) vengeance.   

Why Does The Blood Of Jesus Speak Better Things Than The Blood Of Abel?

     The blood of Jesus that speaks about forgiveness of sin and love to our enemies is greater than the blood of Abel, Cain, and Lamech that speak about vengeance to our enemies under the law. 1 John 1:7 tells us how the blood of Jesus cleanses, forgives, and removes sin. But if we walk in the light, as He (Jesus) is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Therefore we can rejoice and say Hebrews 12:24. And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling (Jesus' precious blood shed at the cross of Calvary), that speaketh better things than that of Abel. After Cain killed his brother Abel, Abel's blood cried out for vengeance (Genesis 4:10). But Jesus' blood speaks better things than Abel's blood and tells us to have mercy and forgiveness to everyone (even our worst enemies) forgiving 70x7.  

     Jesus said at Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Romans 12:19 says Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine: I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

A Sermon About Olive Oil, The Name Of Jesus, And How Kathleen Kenyon Discovered The Walls Of Jericho

     Notice the pictures above of a Fitville sneaker and Bertolli extra virgin olive oil. The sneaker and the olive oil relate to the bible. Olive oil represents the Holy Spirit (that is one with the Lord Jesus) and is a weapon to be used against the devil to make the devil flee and give us joy, peace, and strength. When the Word of God tells us to do something that can not be reasoned with our minds, we should just obey the Word of God to get blessed. Romans 3:4 says Let God be true, and every man a liar.

     James 5:14 says Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil (olive oil and not Crisco) in the name of the Lord (the name of the Lord is Jesus because Jesus is God): And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. This bible verse is telling us to anoint ourselves with olive oil in the name of Jesus to receive the following blessings listed at James 5:14. When you anoint yourself with olive oil in the name of Jesus, you will be saved from sickness, raised up, and if you have committed any sins, they shall be forgiven.
   
     Place olive oil on the top of your head and on the bottoms of your shoes in Jesus name so that wherever you walk the devils will flee and witchcraft or evil will not harm you. Tap olive oil in Jesus name on your front door, back door, bedroom door, bathroom door, refrigerator, and on your computer and cellphone. 

     Drop olive oil in the name of Jesus around the sidewalk of your neighborhood and the devils will flee from your neighborhood. Place the name of Jesus on your front door and on anything you don't want the devil to steal and the devil will flee and won't steal anything. Jesus said at Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils. Praise God for the wonderful name of Jesus that protects us and gives us everlasting peace.

This doesn't make any sense to our minds but if we just believe God's Word, the olive oil by faith will save us, raise us up, and forgive our sins.

     Now a couple of more revelations about the olive oil. The olive oil makes things tangible in the natural realm and lets you feel the presence of the Lord Jesus. God is a Spirit that we can not see with our eyes, but the Lord Jesus uses olive oil to let us feel and see the presence of Jesus' power. The first thing any person does when he feels the olive oil is pray in Jesus name. Jesus said at John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name (Jesus), that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 

     Notice the picture above of modern day Jericho. Jericho's two layers of walls in the picture above (one layer above the ground and the other layer below the ground) that exist today have not been crumbled or destroyed. The Lord Jesus preserved these walls because Jericho's walls sunk into the ground (descending from a higher place to a lower place) and did not collapse, crumble, or disappear after Joshua walked around Jericho for seven days. The reason the Lord Jesus preserved these walls in modern day Jericho is to prove that the KJV Word of God is the truth.

     Most people think that the walls of Jericho crumbled, disappeared, were destroyed, and no longer exist. This is not true according to the Greek definition of what occurred at Jericho at Hebrews 11:30. The walls of Jericho sunk into the ground and exist today. Hebrews 11:30 says By faith the walls of Jericho fell down (the Greek definition of fell down is descended from a higher place to a lower place), after they were compasssed about seven days. In the 1950s a christian archeologist named Kathleen Kenyon found these sunken walls of Jericho pictured above and proved that God's Word is the truth because the walls of Jericho exist today. Therefore we learn that the walls of Jericho sank into the ground, allowing Joshua and his army to walk over the tops of these walls and conquer Jericho.
   
      In the 1950s christian archeologist Kathleen Kenyon proved that the bible is true and that the sunken walls of Jericho exist and remain standing below the ground at Jericho. Rahab's house that was attached to part of the wall of Jericho did not sink into the ground because Rahab feared God and blessed Joshua's spies. Kathleen Kenyon discovered Rahab's house attached to a wall in Jericho above the ground that was preserved and exists today in Jericho. Therefore God saved Rahab and her house when Joshua destroyed everything in Jericho except Rahab and her house. Joshua 2:15 talks about Rahab and says Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall.

     If you read the article linked above about Kathleen Kenyon and the walls of Jericho, you will discover that part of the wall in Jericho did not sink into the ground. Kathleen Kenyon stated this was the part of the wall that Rahab's house was attached to. The wall where Rahab lived did not sink into the ground. Hebrews 11:31 says By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. If you notice in the picture above a part of the Jericho wall is above the ground and this part of the wall above the ground is where Rahab's house existed. 

     Kathleen Kenyon actually found Rahab's house preserved on the north side of the city of Jericho built against the wall just like the bible tells us at Joshua 2:15. I say to any person anywhere in any nation that forevermore reads this bible study and doubts God's Word, just take a vacation to modern day Jericho and personally view Rahab's house attached to the wall of Jericho above the ground and the sunken walls of Jericho that Joshua walked over in his victory and I pray that after you see before your eyes the truth of God's Word pictured above at Jericho's walls, you will get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Notice the picture above of a family that is meditating on the Word of God. Like this family, let's meditate daily on the KJV Word of God. The Lord Jesus promises that you will prosper and have good success if you daily meditate on the KJV Word of God. In other words if you meditate and memorize the KJV Word of God, God will fix all your problems. Psalm 1:1 says Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 

     Note the following scriptures that tell us about the many benefits that we receive from daily meditating on the KJV Word of God. Psalm 119:130 says The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Acts 20:32 says And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Jeremiah 15:16 says Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Job 23:12 says Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

     Romans 15:4 says For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 2 Timothy 3:14 says But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Walk With Jesus Who Removes All Sin

     Notice the picture above of footprints in the sand and no person. This reminds me of Enoch who walked with God and he was not for God took him. Note the blessings that we receive when we daily walk with the Lord Jesus like Enoch. What a blessing it will be when the christians will be caught up in the clouds in the air to be with the Lord Jesus during the rapture and only footprints will remain on this earth. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 says For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel (this is Michael according to Jude 9), and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

     Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him. Genesis 5:22 says And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Hebrews 11:5 says By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Enoch's name means dedicated. Let's be dedicated and live holy lives for Jesus. If we are dedicated and live holy like Enoch we will be translated, not see death, and be caught up in the rapture to be with Jesus in the kingdom of God. 

     Let's be like Enoch and walk daily with the Lord Jesus by daily looking by faith with our hearts to Jesus Christ crucified. Every day tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and with Jesus' stripes I am healed. Daily thank the Lord Jesus for dying for you on the cross of Calvary to give you hope to overcome this world. According to Psalm 16:8 and Psalm 16:11, if you daily set the Word of God who is Jesus before you, you will not be moved, have fulness of joy, and pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:8 says I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:11 says Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

     Note the blessings that you receive when you live holy and walk daily with the Lord Jesus. Isaiah 41:10 says Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. David spoke about how Jesus' right hand will save us. Psalm 138:7 says Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. Romans 8:31 says What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 2 Thessalonians 3:16 says Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

     John 14:23 tells us that if we live holy and walk daily with the Lord Jesus, Jesus will be with us and give us everlasting peace. John 14:23 says Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and will come unto him, and make our (notice it says our and not my because Jesus is one with God and Jesus is God) abode with him. And if Jesus lives with us and makes His abode with us, we have everlasting peace. Jesus said at John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Confess That Jesus Is God, And Believe The Gospel,

That Jesus Died On The Cross For You, Was Buried, And Rose Again

     The Lord Jesus is called the bright morning star. Revelation 22:16 says I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. If you line up 10000 stars, the Lord Jesus is the chiefest among 10000 stars and shines the brightest. Song of Solomon 5:10 says My beloved (Jesus) is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. If you daily walk with the Lord Jesus and live holy, just the brightness of Jesus will destroy the devil and any trouble in this world. 2 Thessalonians 2:8 says And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.

     The NIV bible calls the devil a morning star like Jesus in Isaiah 14:12. I suggest that you check this out for yourselves at the website blueletterbible. This is not quoted correctly. The correct KJV reading of Isaiah 14:12 is How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning. how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations. There is only one true bright and morning star and his name is Jesus. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14 the devil is only transformed into an angel of light and appears like light but really is a liar and is only called the son of the morning.

     Notice the picture above of John the Baptist and Jesus and realize that only the Lord Jesus can take away our sins that separated us from God. John 1:29 says The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Initially sin separated people from God, but now anyone can come to God by faith in the Lord Jesus who removed sin by the sacrifice of Himself at the cross of Calvary. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Our sins separated us from God. Isaiah 59:1 says Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that He will not hear. But The Lord Jesus took our sins upon Himself and removed sins with His precious blood shed at the cross of Calvary. Now we can come boldly to the Father with no guilt and enter the holiest throne of grace by the blood of Jesus. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Hebrews 4:16 says Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 10:19 says Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.

     When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary the veil that separated the most holy place from the holy place was rent from the top to the bottom and Jesus' sacrifice on the cross now gives christians boldness to approach God in the most holy place with no guilt of sin. Matthew 27:50 says Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. The torn veil symbolized that through Jesus' death, the way into God's presence was now open to all believers in the Lord Jesus, and not just the high priest. Jesus said at John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

     Study the picture above where Jesus wrote on the ground and then saved the woman taken in adultery from stoning by saying at John 8:7 He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Since according to Romans 3:23 all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, no person could stone the woman because they were all sinners. But the Lord Jesus who is perfect and could have stoned the adulterous woman showed mercy. 1 Peter 2:22 tells us that Jesus is perfect saying Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth. Jesus said to the woman who committed adultery and to all of us who are sinners at John 8:11 Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

What Did Jesus Write On The Ground?

     John 8:3 speaks about Jesus writing on the ground and then saving a woman taken in the act of adultery from her accusers. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 

     So when they continued asking Him, he lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. and Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 

     The Lord Jesus wrote the names of the scribes and the Pharisees in the earth who found fault with the adulterous woman, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of Jeremiah 17:13. O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. By writing in the dust, Jesus was visually illustrating and fulfilling Jeremiah's prophecy, indicating that the accusers, by rejecting Him (the fountain of living waters mentioned just a chapter earlier at John 7:38) were the very people written in the earth.

     Jesus said at John 7:37 If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified. After Jesus spoke about the fountain of living waters that represents Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the scribes and Pharisees brought accusations against Jesus before the adulterous woman. Then Jesus wrote the names of the scribes and the Pharisees in the earth, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of Jeremiah 17:13. The names of the scribes and Pharisees who departed from Jesus were written in the earth because they had forsaken the Lord Jesus who is the fountain of living waters.

Why Christians Should Avoid The Catholic Pagan Rituals Of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, And Easter; The Lord Jesus Sees Everything And Yet Is Merciful

     Notice the picture above of an entrance to a hidden room behind a stone wall. Today we learn that no matter where anyone hides on this earth, the Lord Jesus sees everything. If you realized that the Lord Jesus was continuously watching you, would you keep doing certain sinful things in the dark when no person was watching you. I pray in Jesus name that anyone reading this will decide to daily live holy lives at all times when no person is watching. 2 Corinthians 7:1 says Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. James 1:21 says Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity (past sins before salvation with Jesus) of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

     Ezekiel saw the hidden sins of the people and encouraged everyone to live holy every day. Brother Bob asks everyone to stop sinning because Jesus sees everything we do in hidden secret places. If you have sinned in a dark, hidden, secret place, Jesus is merciful and will forgive you if you get saved. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. Proverbs 28:13 says He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. According to this bible verse, it is not enough to just confess your sins to receive mercy. You must also forsake and stop doing any type of sin to receive mercy.

     A battle is going on between the flesh and the spirit. Christians must daily crucify the flesh to live holy and walk in the spirit. Every day tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ and with Jesus' stripes I am healed. Jesus is not just a choice of religion. Jesus is your very life and survival. If a person yields to his flesh, he will die. If a person yields to the Lord Jesus, he will live. I pray in Jesus name that all those who forevermore read this bible study choose Jesus and live while they deny their flesh. A scripture that saved Brother Bob from sinning is Romans 8:13 that says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. And the scripture that proves Jesus is life is 1 John 5:11 that says And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

     Ezekiel looked through a hole in a stone wall like the one pictured above and saw the sins of the people who could not hide from the Lord Jesus. We should stop sinning and live holy every day because the Lord Jesus like Ezekiel sees everything. Ezekiel 8:6 says He said furthermore unto me, Son of Man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations. And He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall. Then said He unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And He said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.

     Ezekiel 8:12 further describes the sins that Ezekiel saw and says Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the Lord seeth us not; the Lord hath forsaken the earth. He said unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz (a pagan god). Then said He unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. 

     And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Ezekiel 8:18 pronounces God's judgment against these sinners and says Therefore, will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.

Why Ezekiel Condemned The Pagan Ritual of Weeping For The god Tammuz

     Weeping for Tammuz refers to a ritualistic mourning practice where women lamented the annual death of a Mesopotamian fertility god named Tammuz. Tammuz (also called Dumuzi) was an ancient Mesopotamian god of agriculture and vegetation. According to mythology, Tammuz died every year in the summer when the heat withered the crops and descended into the underworld. His return in the spring brought the renewal of life and fertility to the land. Tammuz was the lover or husband of the fertility goddess Ishtar (also called Inanna) who traveled every year to the underworld to rescue Tammuz. 

     Weeping for Tammuz was a ritual practiced every year as a forbidden lamentation for the dead performed by women to symbolize grief for the lost god Tammuz and to petition for his return in the spring. This ritual of mourning occurred in the mid summer fourth month on the Hebrew calendar named after him called Tammuz (around June or July). Participants would often engage in loud wailing, beating their breasts, and sometimes singing liturgical dirges that echoed Ishtar's grief. Some historical accounts suggest the use of idols shown weeping to heighten the emotional effect. 

     Ezekiel was shown a vision of women at the north gate of the temple of Jerusalem weeping for Tammuz. This act was condemned by God as a grievous sin because it brought pagan fertility rites into the sacred temple, representing spiritual unfaithfulness (adultery) by the Israelites. It highlighted how deeply foreign religious practices had infiltrated Jewish society before the Babylonian exile, leading to divine judgment.

The Catholic Rituals Of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, And Easter

Are Pagan Rituals Related To The Condemned Practice Of Weeping For Tammuz

     Shrove Tuesday popularly known as Pancake day is the final day for Catholics to examine their lives and seek forgiveness before entering a solemn 40 day period of fasting during Lent to prepare for Easter. Shrove Tuesday is called Pancake day where Catholics eat pancakes to use up rich indulgent ingredients like eggs, milk, sugar, and butter, which were traditionally forbidden during the Lenten fast. Shrove Tuesday involves a feasting before the fasting. Shrove Tuesday is called Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday in New Orleans America where Catholics have elaborate carnivals and parades and enjoy their favorite foods before Ash Wednesday and the 40 day Lent fast to prepare for Easter. Shrove Fat Tuesday will occur on February 17, 2026. 

     Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a 40 day liturgical season of prayer, fasting, and repentance leading up to Easter that will occur on February 18, 2026. During Ash Wednesday, ashes are placed on the foreheads of Catholics in the shape of a cross. These ashes are made by burning palm branches used in the previous years Palm Sunday services. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence from meat.

     Lent is the 40 day Catholic liturgical season of prayer, fasting, and repentance in preparation for Easter that will occur from February 18, 2026 to April 5, 2026. During Lent Catholics give up a specific habit or luxury (such as sweets, alcohol, or social media) for the duration of the 40 day Lent season.

Why Christians Should Avoid The Catholic Pagan Rituals Of Shrove Tuesday,

Ash Wednesday, Lent, And Easter That Relate To Weeping For The god Tammuz

     Christians should avoid the Catholic pagan rituals of Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Easter that relate to the pagan ritual of weeping for the god Tammuz. Before the Catholic church existed, christians celebrated Passover instead of Easter. Passover was not preceded by a 40 day fasting period called Lent. Lent was not observed in the first century church. Lent was first established by the Church at Rome during the Council of Nicea in AD 325, when Emperor Constantine officially recognized that Church as the Roman Empire's state religion. 

     To conciliate popularity and pacify pagans, Constantine and the Roman Catholic church took measures to get christian and pagan festivals amalgamated (merged together and unified). The Roman church replaced Passover with Easter, moving the pagan feast of Tammuz from the middle of summer to early spring, christianizing the feast of Tammuz. Lent moved with the Feast of Tammuz that allowed for a period of weeping and fasting before the pagan ritual of Easter.

     Lent originated as an ancient Babylonian mystery religion. The 40 days of fasting during Lent was borrowed from the worshippers that fasted and wept for the false god Tammuz. Among the pagans, fasting during Lent or the weeping for Tammuz was an indispensable preliminary to the great annual festival in commemoration of the death and resurrection of the false god Tammuz. Tammuz was the false messiah of the Babylonians (a satanic counterfeit of the Lord Jesus Christ). Christians should only worship the true Messiah who is the Lord Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary, was buried, and rose again after His resurrection.

     The observance of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Easter brought into the Catholic church the grossest corruption and the rankest superstition in connection with the fastings during Lent before Easter. Note that pagan women wept and gave up sins and vices during Lent before the feast of Tammuz. The pagans held wild "anything goes" celebrations like Shrove Fat Tuesday to make sure that they got in their share of debaucheries and perversities before their Lent season of fasting (what the world celebrates as Mardi Gras today). 

     The Lord Jesus never instituted the unholy Catholic ritual of Lent, a pagan observance connecting debauchery to the supposed resurrection of a false messiah called Tammuz. Lent may seem like a sincere, heartfelt religious observance. But it is deeply rooted in pagan ideas that counterfeit God's plan. Pagan observances like Lent can not be christianized or be made clean by men. 

     Avoid the pagan rituals of Shrove Fat Tuesday, the Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Easter that relate to the weeping for the god Tammuz. Colossians 2:20 says Wherefore if ye be dead with the Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in this world, are ye subject to ordinances (religious rules), Touch not; taste not; handle not (fastings during the Catholic pagan ritual of Lent); Which all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

     Notice the picture above of a hidden secret place inhabited by an unsaved fearful man fleeing from the Lord Jesus. But the Lord Jesus is everywhere and omniscient. When Jesus returns to this earth to rule and reign with a rod of iron during the millennium, the Lord Jesus will be exalted and men shall be humbled while they worship the Lord Jesus. Isaiah 2:17 says And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols He shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of His majesty, when He ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 

     Revelation 6:15 restates Isaiah's vision saying And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

      Escape the great day of the Lord Jesus' wrath during the seven year great tribulation. Get saved today and get caught up in the rapture before the seven year great tribulation on this earth. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Don't be like Pharaoh and say tomorrow take away my sin. One more day with the frogs in the bedchambers, ovens, and kneadingtroughs. Don't choose misery and keep sinning like Pharaoh. Instead get saved, stop sinning, and receive peace today with the Lord Jesus. Exodus 8:9 says And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.

 

     Notice the picture above of the prophet Nathan rebuking King David openly and saying Thou art the man. David thought he could hide his sin of getting Bathsheba pregnant by killing her husband Uriah the Hittite. But the Lord Jesus saw David's secret sins in the dark and rebuked David in the open. David suffered four-fold vengeance because of his sin of adultery with Bathsheba and lost 4 children (Bathsheba's first baby, Amnon, Absalom, and Adonijah). But the good news is that when David repented, the Lord Jesus had mercy on David and allowed Bathsheba to give birth to Solomon who later became the king of Israel. 

     The story about the picture above is at 2 Samuel 12:7 and says And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.   
   
     Jesus sees everything we do and saw all of David's sinful deeds. Matthew 10:26 says Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. Proverbs 15:3 says The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Hebrews 4:13 says Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. 

     Jeremiah 23:24 says Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord, Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. 
   
     If Jesus is everywhere and sees everything, deny your flesh and stop sinning. Psalm 139:8 tells us that Jesus is everywhere and sees everything. If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

     Don't be afraid of the dark because the Lord Jesus is the light in the thickest darkness. 2 Chronicles 6:1 says Then said Solomon, The Lord hath said that He would dwell in the thick darkness. Jesus said at John 8:12 I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Psalm 139:11 says If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Revelation 21:23 says And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb (Jesus) is the light thereof.

     When christians arrive at the kingdom of God, there will never be any more darkness or night. In the kingdom of God no one will ever get tired, have to sleep, or see any darkness. There will always be daylight, peace, strength, and joy for ever. Revelation 22:5 says And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Isaiah 60:19 says The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord (Jesus) shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord (Jesus) shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

I See Jesus In The Word Of God

     Whenever you look at the Word of God, you are looking at Jesus. This is because the Word of God is Jesus. Therefore all the stories in the Word of God are about the Lord Jesus. John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word and God because Revelation 19:13 says And He (Jesus) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God. How about the picture above of Brother Bob's favorite bird the eagle. The Word of God speaks a lot about eagles.

     First, let's all look at Isaiah 40:31 that says But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Back up a few verses to Isaiah 40:29 and claim this verse for yourself. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Also rejoice and say Habakkuk 3:19: The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.

     Now everyone meditate on the words of Jesus at John 12:32 that says And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. Now the Word is like putting a puzzle together and with the help of the Holy Ghost let's compare John 12:32 to Matthew 24:27 that says For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

     The carcase mentioned in Matthew 24:28 refers to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ crucified and the eagles represent the true believers in Jesus who live daily by remembering with their hearts Jesus Christ crucified. I pray in Jesus name that all my friends in all the many nations will do Matthew 24:28 and saints everywhere will look with their hearts like eagles to the true carcase Jesus Christ crucified. I claim in Jesus name that when we all look to Jesus Christ crucified we all will be gathered together.

     Only Jesus can bring all people together. Only Jesus was able to bring together Phillip a white man and the Ethiopian eunuch a black man. Only Jesus was able to bring together Peter a Jew and Cornelius a Roman Gentile centurion. A true test to see if you are saved is that you love all people from all nations irregardless of their color, creed, and background. Jesus when He was on this earth loved all types of people: Roman soldiers and Samaritans who at that time did not talk to Jews; rich people like Zacchaeus and Nicodemus and poor people like the humble fishermen Peter, James, and John.

     Remember the promise of Deuteronomy 32:11 that says As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. One day soon we all will be caught up on eagle's wings to be with Jesus forevermore in the clouds in the kingdom of God where our youth is renewed. Psalm 103:5 says Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. Like the eagles that fly very high, saved saints will be like eagles that shout for victory when we all reach heights above this troubled world in the kingdom of God forevermore. Get saved today with victory and peace. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

     Jesus showed Brother Bob that when we all get to the kingdom of God, our youth will be renewed like the eagle and also now on this earth. A person that is a baby or an elderly person of say 90 years old will be the perfect age with youth renewed forevermore in the kingdom of God. Can you just think of all the aborted babies that will appear as people in the kingdom of God. These babies will be like Jesus and be the perfect age of 30 forever. Philippians 3:21 says (Jesus) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. 

     I pray for doctors that for money abort innocent babies. These doctors need to repent of this sin. These abortions are wrong because these doctors are committing the abomination of shedding innocent blood listed at Proverbs 6:17 that God hates. I saw a vision once of a 90 year old man and 90 year old woman going to the kingdom of God while they rowed a boat. When the 90 year old man and the 90 year old woman reached the kingdom of God, the man become a strong young man of say 30 years old and the woman became a beautiful model of only 30 years old. 

     The title of today's bible study is I See Jesus In The Word. Notice the picture above of one of my favorite bible characters named Rizpah who reminds me of Mary Magdalene waiting to see Jesus resurrected. The Hebrew definition of Rizpah's name is hot coal and a spark to remind us all to seek Jesus like Mary Magdalene did when she searched for Jesus resurrected.

     Now to understand who Rizpah is we need to see the history of the Gibeonite people, Joshua, King Saul, and King David. Joshua 9 tells us that the Gibeonite people tricked Joshua into agreeing to a treaty to not harm and protect them. King Saul violated this treaty and slaughtered many Gibeonite people. The Gibeonite people reminded King David of King Saul's violation of the peace treaty created by Joshua. King David agreed to allow the Gibeonite people to take seven of King Saul's sons and hang them to death. Rizpah was the mother of two of these sons and Michal was the mother of the other five sons that were hung by the Gibeonites. Rizpah prayed for months and begged King David for a decent burial of the seven sons of King Saul. Every day Rizpah would prevent the birds and beasts from harming the bodies of the seven sons of Saul. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the bible records that Saul and Jonathan only were buried but Rizpah's two sons disappeared like Jesus and were raised from the dead because there is no mention that David buried Saul's seven sons killed by the Gibeonites.

     The story about Rizpah is recorded at 2 Samuel 21:8 that says But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the Lord: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest. And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night. 2 Samuel 21:13 only speaks about Saul and Jonathan's burial while there is no burial for Rizpah's two sons or Michal's five sons. 2 Ssmuel 21:13 says And he (David) brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

     Rizpah is truly the Mary Magdalene of the old testament. Like Mary Magdalene wanting a proper burial for Jesus, Rizpah also wanted a proper burial for her beloved sons. Like Mary Magdalene waiting at the tomb of the body of Jesus to find Jesus, Rizpah waited by her sons dead bodies hoping to one day see them buried and resurrected. I believe like Mary Magdalene who was honored for her faithful diligence to first see Jesus resurrected by risking her life around Roman soldiers (note that Mary Magdeline was braver than all the men disciples who were sissies and fled from the tomb of Jesus), Rizpah also risked her life around dangerous beasts at night and birds by day to see her sons buried and resurrected. To Brother Bob Mary Magdalene and Rizpah are heroes who by their diligent prayers were rewarded with the honor of seeing the resurrected glory of Jesus and their beloved sons.

     Note also that Mary Magdalene and Rizpah were prayer warriors who prayed in the early hours of the morning and all night and were rewarded for their diligent prayers. 2 Peter 1:10 says Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let's all be like Mary Magdalene and Rizpah and be diligent and keep remembering daily with our hearts Jesus Christ crucified while we praise Jesus daily. May Jesus reward us all with eternal peace and joy while we daily look for the resurrected Jesus like Mary Magdalene and Rizpah by our daily diligent prayers.

     Another bible story that reminds Brother Bob of Jesus Christ crucified is the story of when Samson killed a lion and then took honey out of the carcase of the lion that was surrounded by a swarm of bees. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the lion represented Jesus the Lion of the tribe of Judah who died for our sins (represented by Samson's sinful flesh). The honey in the carcase of the lion represents the sweetness of the Word of God that is Jesus. Psalm 19:10 tells us that Jesus or the Word of God is sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Also note that Jesus took the sting out of death and when Samson put his hand in a swarm of bees, Jesus took away any sting that could harm Samson and allowed Samson to enjoy the sweet honey. 1 Corinthians 15:55 says O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

     The story of the above picture is recorded at Judges 14:5 and says Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and behold, a young lion roared against him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well. And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion. And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.

     Now look at the picture above of Samson with the sweet honey of Jesus and wave your hands and praise Jesus. Thank Jesus for being that Lion of the tribe of Judah that died for your sins, taking away the sting of death, allowing you to enjoy the sweetness of a land flowing with milk and honey. Jesus showed Brother Bob that Jesus represents both the milk and honey because the milk and honey refer to the Word of God and the Word is Jesus. 1 Peter 2:2 says As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. And Psalm 19:10 tells us that the Word of God Jesus is sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

     And finally, I give you all Samson's riddle and the interpretation Jesus gave Brother Bob about Samson's riddle. Samson's riddle reminds Brother Bob of Jesus. Samson's riddle is recorded at Judges 14:14 and says And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the eater and the strong mentioned above represent the devil. The meat and the sweetness represent Jesus. The answer to Samson's riddle stated at Judges 14:18 is Jesus: What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion (the devil).  Jesus and the Word of God is sweeter than honey and the honeycomb (Psalm 19:10). Jesus is stronger than the devil who is only a little l lion (1 Peter 5:8); Jesus is a capital L Lion of the tribe of Juda (Revelation 5:5). 

     You see the devil tried to destroy Jesus at the cross, but Jesus turned the tables on the devil and destroyed the devil by dying on the cross. Like when the whale had to let loose of Jonah, the devil had to let loose of Jesus after the devil tried to swallow up Jesus at the cross of Calvary. Hebrews 2:14 says Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Jesus defeated the devil and said at Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. The devil doesn't even have the keys to his own house.

     When man in the above picture tried to build the tower of Babel above the Lord Jesus, man's plans failed and Jesus scattered man over the face of the earth with many languages in many nations. Genesis 11:6 says And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 

     Instead of  being proud, trying to rise above God building a tower of Babel up into space, be humble and bow down before the Lord Jesus in holy reverence. It's a waste of time and money when NASA builds rockets that travel to the moon and Mars to only discover a couple of moon and space rocks. God won't let man rise above Him into space. The planets in space are God's territory that man should leave alone. Stay humble and wait to be caught up to heaven during the rapture where only the Lord Jesus will be exalted. 

A Thumbprint On A Bible Is More Important Than A Footprint On The Moon   

     People might tell Brother Bob it's who you know to get promoted. But Brother Bob responds it's who I know (the Lord Jesus) to get promoted. Psalm 75:6 says For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another. Notice that the direction north is left out of the above verse. This is because when you look up north you look to the Lord Jesus. It's true man or the devil can not help us from the east, west, or south. Only the Lord Jesus can truly deliver and help us all. The outlooks bad, the downlooks worse, but the uplook is looking pretty good; and if you have the right uplook, you'll have the right outlook and win souls to our Lord Jesus. Instead of looking down all day at a cellphone texting and gossiping on facebook, look up to heaven for the soon return of our Lord Jesus during the rapture. Jesus said at Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption (Jesus) draweth nigh.

     Psalm 121:1 says I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 24:7 says Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.
