Obey Jesus Like Animals And Nature

Today, Brother Bob shows you all a picture of a group of rocks singing and praising Jesus. The picture is biblical and the bible says rocks and stones cry out and praise Jesus. Like the rocks and stones we all need to praise Jesus for dying for us all on the cross and giving us all hope to live in this wicked world. Luke 19:39 says And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, Master rebuke thy disciples. And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Isaiah 55:12 promises us For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. In other words, the birds in the mountains and hills praise Jesus with singing while the branches on the trees clap and wave their hands in the wind praising the Lord Jesus.

Now to anyone who reads this bible study forevermore I want to quote from a great writer named George Swinnock from 1649 and I want you to as you read this quote take a moment to think on the power of these words and realize how animals and nature praise, know, and obey Jesus. Here's the quote: Did Balaam's ass speak at God's command and reprove the madness of the prophet? Did ravens at God's command feed Elijah? Did caterpillars, locusts, frogs, and lice execute God's judgment upon Pharoah? Do fire, hail, snow, vapours, and stormy winds fulfill His word? Doth the earth open, the rocks rend, the stars fight in their courses, waters stand up in heaps as a wall, the moon stand still, the sun go backward, wildernesses tremble, things cross the course of nature to obey His pleasure and wilt thou not obey Him? Wilt thou be worse than these irrational and inanimate creatures?

Now after you read the above quote, here are the scriptures that describe George Swinnock's blessed quote. Notice the picture above is of a mule or ass that spoke and obeyed Jesus and rebuked Balaam and prevented Balaam from cursing God's people. Numbers 22:28 says And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee that thou hast smitten me these three times. We can all learn from the pictured mule or ass above who knows his Master Jesus according to the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah 1:3 says the ox knoweth his owner and the ass his master's crib. But Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

OK Brother Bob's next picture is of a crow or raven and yes this picture is biblical. Usually when Brother Bob does his morning jog, Brother Bob gets to see and hear several crows cawing. I usually think boy those birds sure make a lot of noise and racket, but Hallelujah Jesus can use the crows to bless us. When I look at these crows or ravens it reminds Brother Bob of Elijah and how the ravens obeyed Jesus and fed Elijah during a famine. 1 Kings 17:2 says And the word of the Lord came unto him saying, Get thee hence and turn thee eastward and hide thyself by the brook Cherith that is before Jordan. And it shall be that thou shalt drink of the brook and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. Lord Jesus help us all to be obedient like the ravens and go feed the hungry, visit the hurting, and take time for the poor people around us.

Why Are There No Dead Crows On Highways?
Because The Crows Always Signal Other Crows Saying
Car Car Car

Here's all the scriptures that George Swinnock in the above quote was referring to on how nature obeys Jesus. Just think when you read all these scriptures, if Jesus can control nature and make the earth open, rocks rent, the wilderness shake, the sun and moon to stand still, waters to stand upon an heap, and the stars to fight in their courses, Jesus surely will bless and fix all your problems. Psalm 29:8 says The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness. The Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. Psalm 148:8 says Fire and hail; snow and vapours; stormy wind filfilling His word.

Numbers 16:32 says And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up and their houses and all the men that appertained unto Korah and all their goods. Matthew 27:50 says Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. Joshua 3:13 says And it shall come to pass as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above and they shall stand upon an heap.

OK, now meditate on this next bible verse from Judges 5:20 that says They fought from heaven; The stars in their courses fought against Sisera. I encourage those reading this bible study to go to the website blueletterbible which will give you the Hebrew definition of the above verse. The word courses in Hebrew is defined as ladderway and Sisera is defined as battle. Jesus showed Brother Bob that the stars are the angels that fight the battle for us daily against the devil. Look at John 1:51 that says And He saith unto him, Verily, verily I say unto you, Hereafter, ye shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man. Jacob had a dream of a ladder going to heaven with the Father at the top of the ladder and angels going up and down the ladder. Well John 1:51 tells us all that the ladder is Jesus. Brother Bob always says CROSS WITH THE CROSS to God by Jesus.

Saint reading this Psalm 91 talks about angels and says at Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. The angels are coming down the ladderway or courses to fight the battle or Sisera for you all saints. Remember 2 Chronicles 20:15 and that Jesus is fighting your battle with His angels and anyone reading this bible study has the victory in every area of their life. 2 Chronicles 20:15 says And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem and thou King Jehoshaphat. Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; For the battle is not yours, but God's.

OK, everyone take a good look at the picture above of a sun setting in the west. Do you realize that Jesus was so powerful in the days of Isaiah and Hezekiah. Jesus made the sun go backwards and try to set in the east instead of the west. When I think about this and how Jesus walked on water it makes Brother Bob realize that with Jesus all things are possible. I claim to all that read this bible study if you are facing an impossible situation in Jesus name that Jesus can do anything and will totally fix your problem forevermore. Jesus told me to tell everyone that reads this bible study that they will be totally delivered from problems they've faced for many years instantly.

The bible verse that says Jesus caused the sun to go backward and set in the east is at Isaiah 38:8 and says Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned (turned back and went backwards) ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

Also, take note that Joshua which means the same as Jesus spoke to the sun and moon and the sun and moon stood still for an entire day. Remember saint if Jesus can stop the sun and moon, it is easy for Jesus to fix any problem you face. The scripture where Joshua or Jesus stopped the sun and moon is at Joshua 10:12 and says Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon and thou moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man for the Lord fought for Israel.

                    GOD                              JESUS                         LOVE

OK, now Brother Bob wants you all to look at the three words above. Jesus told Brother Bob to share a revelation given to Brother Bob from Jesus. Jesus showed me that we can only feel love from people that believe Jesus is God. I'll prove this from the bible. 1 John 4:8 says He that loveth not knoweth not God. For God Is Love. Now Jesus is God because John 10:30 states the words of Jesus to be I and my Father are one. 1 John 5:7 says For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (which is Jesus), and the Holy Ghost; AND THESE THREE ARE ONE. This scripture proves that Jesus is One with God and is God.

John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Revelation 19:13 tells us that the Word Jesus is God: And He (Jesus) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called the Word of God. John 1:14 tells us that the Word Jesus is God: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. full of grace and truth. God is called the I AM THAT I AM at Exodus 3:14 and Jesus stated He is God by calling Himself the I Am at John 8:58: Jesus said unto them Verily, verily I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am. Look at John 14:9 which proves that Jesus is God. John 14:9 says Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Since God is Jesus and God is Love, you can only see love around a person that believes Jesus is God. Now if someone thinks Jesus is just a man, teacher, prophet, and not God there is no love in that person.  Pray for Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews who do not believe Jesus is God. They all believe that Jesus is just a man, teacher and prophet and is not God. Therefore you will not feel love around Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews who believe Jesus is not God. You will feel love around saved christians in the church that believe that Jesus is God. But show the love of Jesus to Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, and Jews to save their souls for Jesus but speak out against their false doctrines.

Get Saved Today And Praise The Lord Jesus Like Animals And Nature
Repent, Decide To Stop Sinning, Confess That Jesus Is God
Believe The Gospel That Jesus Died On The Cross For You

Some Of Brother Bob's Heroes

Notice the picture above of happy midwives holding many newborn babies. This reminds me of some of my favorite heroes in the bible who were the midwives in Egypt. These midwives refused to obey Pharaoh's law to kill the Jewish baby boys because they feared God who forbid killing innocent children.

Brother Bob says obey the laws of your government. Don't speed in a car, pay your taxes, and do not steal. But when any government tells you to do anything that the Word of God forbids, disobey that law like the midwives in Egypt and the Lord Jesus will bless you and keep you alive. Proverbs 29:25 says The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

Exodus 1:16 speaks about the midwives in Egypt who got blessed because they obeyed the Word of God instead of Pharaoh's ungodly law to kill the Jewish baby boys. And he (Pharaoh) said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that He made them houses.

The doctors that commit thousands of abortions today to receive money that will not last should learn a valuable lesson from these midwives who lived in Egypt. The midwives were not afraid of Pharaoh and feared the Lord Jesus more than the rulers of Egypt and did not murder and kill innocent lives. One of the abominations listed at Proverbs 6:17 that God hates is hands that shed innocent blood. When a doctor performs an abortion and kills an innocent baby to receive money, that doctor sheds innocent blood and is guilty of premeditated murder. Doctors that perform abortions need to gets saved, repent, and stop performing abortions. Doctors need to get saved with Jesus and stop doing abortions and the blood of Jesus will wash away their sins.

Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning,
Confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel,
That Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again

The midwives in Egypt were heroes because they did not obey an ungodly law and feared the Lord Jesus more than the Pharaoh. Jesus honored the midwives and blessed them with houses and did not let Pharaoh harm them. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that a precious little baby is a life that exists in a womb for nine months. God told Jeremiah Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Luke1:41 tells us that when John the Baptist was in Elisabeth's womb, John was alive and recognized the Lord Jesus in Mary's womb and leaped for joy. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. Baby John the Baptist in Elisabeth's womb rejoiced and leaped for joy in the presence of baby Jesus in Mary's womb. Like John the Baptist, just the mention of Jesus should make anyone or anything (men, women, babies in the womb, rocks, hills, trees, and all creatures ) rejoice for ever.

Brother Bob was adopted and at birth my real parents did not want me but the real parents let Brother Bob be born. I say to all women reading this bible study who God forbid experienced rape, please allow your child to live and place the child up for adoption. The real parents of Brother Bob let him live and now Brother Bob's life blesses half a million people everywhere with the good news of Jesus Christ at preachbrotherbob. Every baby in a womb deserves a chance to live, get saved with the Lord Jesus, and become a blessing by witnessing Jesus everywhere.

Some other heroes that God honored are the apostles pictured above rejoicing and praising the Lord Jesus after they were beaten and persecuted for preaching about Jesus. Acts 5:40 says And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they cease not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

I pray in Jesus name if you have suffered persecution for preaching about Jesus like the apostles, that the Lord Jesus gives you joy and strength to continue witnessing Jesus everywhere. Over the years Brother Bob has preached to thousands of people at Walmart, laundromats, grocery stores, restaurants, and on the internet at preachbrotherbob. Be like the apostles and count it an honor to suffer shame for the name of Jesus. 1 Peter 4:14 says If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. People aren't speaking bad about you. Lost sinners in the world speak bad about the Lord Jesus in us and we should rejoice about this. Pray for these enemies of Jesus and ask Jesus to save and bless them.

Learn a lesson from another group of people from the churches of Macedonia mentioned at 2 Corinthians 8 who are heroes to Brother Bob who through poverty and persecution continued to bless the poor and serve the Lord Jesus. Like the people from the churches of Macedonia, let's obey Galatians 6:9 that says And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

2 Corinthians 8:1 says Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

Like the people of Macedonia and the apostles, bless the poor in your community and relieve the fatherless and widows in their affliction. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. When the apostles took up an offering at Acts 4:34 the money was distributed to every man according as he had need. Acts 4:34 says Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold. And laid them down at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. Don't be like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5 who were selfish, kept their money, did not help the poor, lied, and died. Instead bless the poor and receive treasure in heaven with eternal life in the kingdom of God.

The next hero in the bible that God honored is Moses pictured above. Moses left all the treasures of Egypt (palaces, riches, and luxuries) and chose to serve the Lord Jesus and lead the children of God out of the bondage of Egypt. Moses could have been the top ruler and Pharaoh of Egypt but Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.

Hebrews 11:24 says By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible. Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

My final picture for today's bible study and another hero that God honored is the jailer who Paul and Silas saved at Acts 16:27. The jailer who whipped Paul and Silas and locked them up in prison got saved and washed the stripes that he placed on Paul and Silas. When your enemy gets saved they become a new creature and a blessing to you. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The story about the jailer that got saved is at Acts 16:27. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

The story above made me think of the miser chief publican Zacchaeus who after he got saved gave away all his money to the poor. Zacchaeus got so happy when he got saved that if someone owed him $20, Zacchaeus paid him a fourfold blessing of $80 and totally forgot the $20 debt owed. I wish I could have seen the person who Zacchaeus approached thinking Zacchaeus was coming to get $20. Think about that person's joy when Zacchaeus rejoiced and gave that person $80, hugged the person, and said your debt is $0. The Lord Jesus can change your worst enemy and have him become a blessing to you. Jesus said at Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

I pray in Jesus name that this bible study blesses multitudes everywhere with great joy, peace, and strength. Jesus Is Powerful Yet Merciful

Notice the picture above that represents the Lord Jesus who is the powerful yet merciful judge. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. The bible tells us about the power of the Lord Jesus and yet how the Lord Jesus is merciful and longsuffering, wanting everyone to repent and get saved.

Nahum 1:3 says The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Notice the words slow to anger, and great in power. The Lord Jesus has great power, yet the Lord Jesus is slow to anger, giving sinners opportunities to repent and get saved. Get saved today and don't wait until the great white throne judgment where it will be too late to get saved.

The Lord Jesus is great in power and at the great white throne judgment, the Lord Jesus will judge and cast sinners who rejected the Lord Jesus into the lake of fire and it will be too late to get saved. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says For He (Jesus) saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Although the Lord Jesus can in a moment speak the whole creation into nothing, yet the Lord Jesus beareth many years with rebellious sinners. Before the beginning of the 1000 year millennium, the Lord Jesus will allow an angel to put the devil into the bottomless pit. After 1000 years at the end of the millennium, the devil will be allowed to come out of the bottomless pit to fight the Lord Jesus and the christians.

Why didn't the Lord Jesus destroy the devil before the millennium? It's because the Lord Jesus is longsuffering and gives people an extra 1000 years to repent and get saved. Revelation 20:10-11 tells us that after the devil is thrown into the lake of fire, the great white throne judgment occurs where it will be too late for anyone to get saved. Therefore the Lord Jesus lets the devil be around for 1000 years to be merciful and give everyone an extra 1000 years to repent and get saved.

Earlier during the time of Noah, God gave people the lifespan of Methuselah (969 years and nearly a millennium) to repent and get saved before the flood destroyed sinners. The Greek definition of the name Mathusala at Luke 3:37 is when he dies, there shall be an emission. Emission means to be sent forth. So when Enoch named his son Methuselah, Enoch prophesied the great flood by saying that when Methuselah dies, the flood shall come or be sent forth.

The following scriptures tell us that the Lord Jesus is longsuffering and wants everyone to repent and is delaying judgment to save sinners everywhere. 2 Peter 3:9 says The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Isaiah 48:9 says For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

Genesis 6:3 in the days of Noah says And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Notice the word yet in this scripture. Yet the Lord Jesus let man live 120 years. Merciful Jesus who could have destroyed every person on earth had mercy and allows people to be able to live for 120 years.

Nehemiah 9:30 says Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands. Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. Isaiah 42:14 says I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. Hebrews 10:31 says It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. Repent and get saved to escape the great wrath of the seven year tribulation.

Deny sin and live holy every day because the Lord Jesus sees every person's sins. No one can hide from the Lord Jesus who sees and punishes the sins of everyone unless they repent and get saved with Jesus. All people and christians if they keep sinning can die an early death. Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Lord Jesus sees everything so stop sinning, get saved, and receive joy, peace, and strength for ever with the Lord Jesus. Luke 12:2 says For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Proverbs 15:3 says The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Hebrews 4:13 says Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. 2 Chronicles 16:9 says For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

The devil lies to people and says you can sin because no one is around or watching but the Lord Jesus sees everything continuously. If someone saw how you lived in secret when no person was watching, would you be ashamed. Brother Bob says yes I've done many sinful things outside of the public's eye but Brother Bob says to himself and to everyone look to Jesus Christ crucified daily and stop sinning. The blood of Jesus will remove the guilt from your past sins and give you peace for ever.

Romans 8:13 says For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Everyone choose life today who is Jesus and deny your flesh daily. Jesus said at Luke 9:23 If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

2 Corinthians 7:1 says Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. James 1:21 says Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity (past sins before salvation) of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls.

Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Notice the two pictures above of Belshazzar feasting and the little children praying and mourning. Ecclesiastes 7:2 says It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Don't get so comfortable with your rich blessings that you forget about Jesus and stop blessing poor and needy orphans and widows. Men in a house of feasting are apt to be forgetful of their duty to God, themselves, and their neighbors. James 1:27 says Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Selfish Belshazzar pictured above did not realize that his days were numbered and the Lord Jesus took his finger and wrote MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN upon the wall and Daniel interpreted this at Daniel 5:26. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. Because of Belshazzar's sins, that night Belshazzar was slain.

The following scriptures tell us that when rich men feast and are selfish, failing to bless the poor, they forget the Lord Jesus. Let's bless those around us that need prayer, assistance, and a kind word to help them survive and overcome this troubled world. Proverbs 19:17 says He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Jesus said at Matthew 25:40 Verily, I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Isaiah 5:11 says Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them. And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the Lord, neither consider the operation of His hands.

Note the warning from Isaiah who says your sin will not be removed till ye die if you forget the poor and needy and are guilty of a fruit of the flesh called revelling that means sinning late into the night selfishly with loud music, alcohol, and drugs. The devil has people stay up all night drinking, sinning, and sleeping till noon while Jesus instead says wake up early, pray, stay sober, and be vigilant. Isaiah 22:12 says And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth. And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die. And it was revealed in my ears by the Lord of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord God of hosts.

The Greek definition for the fruit of the flesh called witchcraft is drug use. If you are dependent on drugs like marijuana or cocaine, there is hope for you if you get saved with the Lord Jesus. Get saved and let the Lord Jesus deliver you from the witchcraft of drugs. Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again. John 8:36 says If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Here's some more scriptures to prove that a selfish house of feasting causes people to forget Jesus and lose blessings. Amos 6:3 says Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David. That drink wine in bowels, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.

The Word of God tells us that a little with peace and contentment from Jesus and God's Word is better than the riches of many wicked. Psalm 37:16 says A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. Proverbs 15:16 says Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. Proverbs 16:8 says Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. Proverbs 15:17 says Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Proverbs 17:1 says Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.

Deuteronomy 8:11 says Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day: Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and the silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Remember the Lord Jesus and say Psalm 34:1. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Notice the picture above of a little boy thanking the Lord Jesus early in the morning. Everyone should be like this little boy and thank the Lord Jesus for dying on the cross of Calvary to remove their sins the first thing every morning when they get out of bed. Psalm 5:3 says My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. After you thank Jesus, tell the devil I am crucified with Jesus Christ while you look by faith at the cross of Calvary that is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Then say with Jesus' stripes I am healed.

Here's some more scriptures about thanking the Lord Jesus early every morning. Psalm 3:5 says I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me. Psalm 127:1 says Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 90:14 says O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Proverbs 8:17 says I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Wake up, live holy, and keep witnessing Jesus everywhere. O my soul canst thou not watch with thy Redeemer one hour when He ever liveth to make intercession for thee. Mark 14:37 says And He cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. Jesus said at Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Jesus Is An Awesome God

Study the picture above where Jesus wrote on the ground and then saved the woman taken in adultery from stoning by saying at John 8:7 He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Since according to Romans 3:23 all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, no person could stone the woman because they were all sinners. But the Lord Jesus who is perfect and could have stoned the adulterous woman showed mercy. 1 Peter 2:22 tells us that Jesus is perfect saying Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth. Jesus said to the woman who committed adultery and to all of us who are sinners at John 8:11 Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

What Did Jesus Write On The Ground?

John 8:3 speaks about Jesus writing on the ground and then saving a woman taken in the act of adultery from her accusers. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

So when they continued asking Him, he lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. and Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

The Lord Jesus wrote the names of the scribes and the Pharisees in the earth who found fault with the adulterous woman, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of Jeremiah 17:13. O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. By writing in the dust, Jesus was visually illustrating and fulfilling Jeremiah's prophecy, indicating that the accusers, by rejecting Him (the fountain of living waters mentioned just a chapter earlier at John 7:38) were the very people written in the earth.

Jesus said at John 7:37 If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified. After Jesus spoke about the fountain of living waters that represents Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the scribes and Pharisees brought accusations against Jesus before the adulterous woman. Then Jesus wrote the names of the scribes and the Pharisees in the earth, thereby fulfilling the prophecy of Jeremiah 17:13. The names of the scribes and Pharisees who departed from Jesus were written in the earth because they had forsaken the Lord Jesus who is the fountain of living waters.

OK, you all might say what does the above picture represent. Open your bibles to Proverbs 30:4 and realize that the Lord Jesus is so powerful that He can gather the wind in his fists. Proverbs 30:4 says Who hath ascended up into heaven or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of he earth? what is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell? I could shout for joy forever and give you the answer to the above question in one word (Jesus).

Proverbs 30:4 tells us that the Lord Jesus hath gathered the wind in His fists. In other words Jesus can hold the wind fast in His fists or let the wind loose by just opening His fists. What a powerful God the Lord Jesus is who can stop a tornado or cyclone by just gathering the wind in his fists.

And the name of Jesus is so powerful that according to Mark 16:17, the name of Jesus will cast out devils. Brother Bob needs to give you all a quick testimony about the name of Jesus. Forty years ago almost every week someone was breaking into my apartment and car and stealing things. Jesus told me to do what Mark 16:17 said and write on a piece of paper in bold black letters JESUS to make the devil flee because the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The Word of God is true. For forty years I've always put the name of JESUS on the outside door of my apartment and in my car I've always had an I LOVE JESUS air freshener, and for forty years nothing has been stolen or taken from my apartment or car except a bible that a thief who got convicted after he broke into my 1995 Toyota Tercel stole. I got so happy I wrote the name JESUS over my bed, on the bedroom door, bathroom door, on the kitchen wall, on the refrigerator and freezer, and on my cellphone and computer and I've really had a blessed apartment. Hallelujah thank you Father for naming your son JESUS.

Now to anyone who forevermore will read this blog, there is no excuse when someone says there is no God. Romans 1:20 says For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Psalm 14:1 says the fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Right now get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

All these things in nature praise Jesus and Brother Bob prays in Jesus name don't let a rock or any created object have more sense than any person reading this writing. Here's what praises Jesus according to Psalm 148: Heavens, heights, angels, hosts sun, moon, stars of light, heavens of heavens, waters that be above the heavens, dragons, deeps, fire, hail, snow, vapours, stormy wind, mountains, hills, fruitful trees, cedars, beasts, all cattle, (someone told me once that when cows kneel down they pray to Jesus), creeping things, flying fowl, kings of the earth, all people, princes, all judges, young men, maidens, old men, and children.

After reading this list, we learn that only Jesus can bring us all together. I've preached meetings where ninety year old grandparents rejoiced with little five year old children about Jesus. Jesus brings together all people (red, yellow, black, and white; they're all precious in His sight). Jesus said at John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. I've never met a person that regretted having the Lord Jesus in their life. Jesus always makes a person better and a blessing.

Psalm 104:1 says Bless the Lord, O my soul, O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: Who layeth the beams of His chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds His chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind. According to the picture above Jesus has a garment that is light because Jesus is the light. In the kingdom of God there is no night or darkness forever. Jesus will be the light of the kingdom of God. Revelation 22:5 says And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever. John 8:12 says Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The gospel good news is daily remembering Jesus Christ crucified, buried, and risen with your hearts and realizing that all your problems forevermore have been destroyed by Jesus at the cross (Hebrews 2:14) that is like a cup of cold water to a thirsty soul. The bible is like a jigsaw puzzle that we put together where we compare the old testament to the new testament and see Jesus. Now put these two scriptures together. First read Proverbs 25:25 that says As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. Now look at Romans 1:16 that says For I am not ashamed of the gospel (good news or glad tidings) of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The gospel message about the Lord Jesus is both power and like a refreshing cup of cold water to a thirsty soul. The gospel (the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ) is not a secret to be hoarded but a story to be heralded. The gospel is not something you go to church to hear but is something you take from church to tell lost sinners. Replace the Exit sign on your church door with the words You are now entering the mission field.

Get saved today with Jesus and don't be ashamed or feel guilty about your past sins because the blood of Jesus cleanses sinners and removes sin. 1 John 1:7 says But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Revelation 22:17 says And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. John 8:36 say If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Note two more powerful scriptures to meditate on that show how awesome Jesus is. First look at Job 26:7 that says He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in His thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. A puritan writer in the 1600s said that Jesus has the power to bring with just a breath the whole creation out of a barren womb of nothing. Psalm 33:8 says Let all the earth fear the Lord. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spake and it was done, He commanded and it stood fast.

Psalm 119:162 says I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. Some people get happy when they discover buried treasure or win millions of dollars in the lottery. But in Jesus name I say to all the saved saints who read this writing forevermore, shout, rejoice, and praise God because you discovered and received the best treasure (Jesus). 2 Corinthians 4:7 says But we have this treasure (Jesus) in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Getting Jesus is better than winning the lottery or having all the most expensive treasures and jewels that this world has to offer. And don't forget this gem given to us by the prophet Isaiah at Isaiah 55:12 that says For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. The birds are singing praises to Jesus in the mountains and the hills while the branches of the trees clap their hands in the wind offering praise to our Lord Jesus.

Psalm 33:6 says By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layeth up the depth in storehouses. Job 38:8 says Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it. And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

Swaddlingbands are linen cloths wrapped around new born infants to restrict, control, and calm the babies. Jesus made the thick darkness a swaddlingband to restrict, control, and calm the raging seas. The reason thick darkness is a swaddlingband for the raging sea is because soon in the kingdom of God no darkness and raging sea will exist around the light of Jesus that is seven times brighter than the sun. The raging sea will disappear into the thick darkness according to Revelation 21:1 that says And I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. No more sea with its storms, scares from sharks or squids, or sin that separates us from God. According to Revelation 22:1 only a peaceful pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, will proceed out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Finally look at the pictures of sheep in a pasture, corn in the valley, and birds. These pictures are very biblical. We can learn from the books of Job and Hosea that everything in the earth like sheep, corn, birds, and the heavens all look to Jesus and Jesus hears their cries. Job 12:7 says But ask now the beasts and they shall teach thee and the fowls of the air and they shall tell thee. Or speak to the earth and it shall teach thee and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee; Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this.

I ask you all to look at nature and the sheep in the pastures, the corn in the valleys, and the birds that all praise our Lord Jesus. Like these things in nature let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord (Psalm 150:6). Jesus hears you and will deliver you. Psalm 65:13 says The pastures are clothed with flocks (sheep); the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. If you walk through a cornfield, you will hear the corn praising the Lord Jesus while it stretches and grows. Birds have bills but they keep on singing.

Isaiah 65:24 declares And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Look at Hosea 2:21 that says And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel (God sows). A puritan writer in the 1600s wrote Jezreel (God) speaks to the corn, wine, and oil to nourish her. These speak to the earth, the earth speaks to the heavens, and the heavens speak to the Lord Jesus upon whom they depend. Romans 8:22 says For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

The Insignificant Holy Man Saves Nations

Notice the two pictures above of a 969 year old man named Methuselah (also called Mathusala) at Luke 3:37 and a picture of Noah's ark surrounded by the great flood. Biblical chronologies show that Methuselah died in the same year the flood began, marking his life as a countdown to that event.

Methuselah's son was Lamech and Lamech's son was Noah. So Methuselah was Noah's grandfather (Genesis 5:22-29). And per Methuselah's name, the flood could not occur until holy Methuselah died because Methuselah's name means when Methuselah dies, it (the flood) shall come forth. All I know is if I was living during Noah's time and found out that Methuselah had died, I'd run to the ark that Noah built for safety from the oncoming flood.

The bible proves that when Methuselah died at the age of 969, the flood occurred. Genesis 5:25 says that Methuselah was 187 years old when his son Lamech was born. Genesis 5:28 says that Lamech was 182 years old when his son Noah was born. Genesis 7:6 says that Noah was 600 years old when the flood occurred. 187+182+600=969 (proving that the flood occurred after Methuselah died at the age of 969). Genesis 5:27 says And all the days of Methuselah were 969 years: and he died.

Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah were among the first ten people that ever lived. It's incredible that the first ten people's Hebrew names talk about Jesus. This is because Jesus is the Word of God and the bible is all about Jesus.  At Genesis 5 the Hebrew definitions for Adam, Seth, Enos, and Cainan talk about Jesus saying A man was appointed to mortal sorrow. Then the Hebrew definitions for Mahalaleel, Jared, and Enoch talk about Jesus saying The blessed God shall come down teaching. Then the Hebrew definitions for Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah talk about Jesus saying His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort.

While holy Methuselah lived for 969 years the flood could not occur. Jewish tradition suggests that God delayed the flood for seven days after Methuselah's death to allow for an extra period of repentance. Genesis 7:4 says For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. Then God destroyed everything except Noah, the ark, the animals in the ark, and Noah's family.

God was longsuffering and gave the people of that time 969 years, the longest any man ever lived (nearly a millennium) plus an extra seven days after Methuselah's death to repent but unfortunately only Noah and his family repented and everyone else was destroyed. 2 Peter 3:9 says The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Take heed to the warning given at Hebrews 3:15 that says While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation (during the flood when people provoked and angered God by their rebelliousness). Get saved, repent, decide to stop sinning, confess that Jesus is God, and believe the gospel that Jesus died on the cross for you, was buried, and rose again.

The Lord Jesus is a carpenter like Noah who laid down his life as a foundation and has prepared mansions for christians in the kingdom of God. Jesus said at John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Every day look by faith with your hearts to Jesus Christ crucified and remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8). Every day say I am crucified with Jesus Christ and Jesus has destroyed for ever all my worries, fears, and problems at the cross of Calvary. Then say with Jesus' stripes I am healed (Isaiah 53:5). Luke 9:23 says And He (Jesus) said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Noah was a preacher and cried out and tried to warn everyone about the oncoming flood but no one listened to Noah except his own family. 2 Peter 2:5 says And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. Be like Noah and keep telling others to get saved with Jesus even with no converts outside of your own family. Keep witnessing Jesus everywhere and ignore the persecutions around you.

Notice the anointed picture above of Noah, his family, and the pairs of animals that survived the flood. It's amazing how the artist painted everything so accurate with all the pairs of animals. First notice that there are 8 people getting out of the ark (Noah, his wife, his 3 sons, and their wives) with a beautiful rainbow. Next notice the pairs of animals (two of each animal) 2 zebras, 2 bears, 2 giraffes, 2 rhinos, 2 elephants, 2 camels, 2 chimps, 2 lions, 2 rabbits, 2 penguins, 2 geese, 2 snakes, 2 foxes, 2 eagles flying, 2 quails, 2 sheep, 2 peacocks, 2 lizards, a rooster and a hen, 2 parrots, 2 robins, 2 kangaroos, 2 gorillas, 2 ostriches (struthiocamelus), 2 elks, 2 gazelles, 2 buffalo bisons, 2 seals, 2 chipmunks, 2 mice, 2 cougars, 2 crocodiles, and 2 ducks.

And how about some Noah humor. Noah was a blessed banker. He floated his stock while the whole world was in liquidation. When Noah's boys were fishing on the ark, Noah told his boys, "Go easy on the bait boys, we only have 2 worms." The money on Noah's ark was the following: The skunk brought in a scent, the duck brought in a bill, the doe brought in a buck, and the frog brought in a green back.

Next notice the picture above of Lot and his family escaping from burning Sodom and Gomorrah and going to the safe city of Zoar. Lot told God at Genesis 19:20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, is it not a little one? and my soul shall live. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee, escape thither; for I can not do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

Note that the meaning of Zoar is small and insignificant to this world. Today like in Lot's day only a few (small amount of saved people insignificant to this world) will escape the soon coming seven year tribulation. Matthew 7:13 says Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Like Lot and his daughters, choose to live righteous with the few small amount of holy Zoar people that are insignificant to this world, escaping the wrath of God's seven year tribulation. Luke 17:28 says Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man (Jesus) is revealed.

One holy man Lot spared a whole city Zoar from fire and destruction. The people in the city of Zoar's lives were saved because of one holy man's presence at Zoar named Lot. In Jesus name, let all those who read this live holy lives by looking to Jesus daily and be lights in this dark world and save nations and cities from destruction by the holy presence of Jesus in our lives. The only way to achieve holiness on a daily basis is through Jesus and not by our own efforts and works.

1 Corinthians 1:30 says But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. The Lord Jesus is sanctification and holiness. Therefore if we preach about the Lord Jesus and let the KJV Word of God shine through us, the presence of Jesus in christians will bless cities and nations everywhere. Matthew 5:16 says Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

The title of my message today is The Insignificant Holy Man Saves Nations. Thomas Brooks wrote about this in the 1600s by saying All in the family, all in the city, and all in the country fare better because of one holy man's presence. All in Laban's family did fare the better because of holy Jacob. And all in the city of Zoar did fare the better because of holy Lot. And all the Pharoah's court and the whole country of Egypt did fare the better because of holy Joseph.

Now meditate on this gem from Jeremiah 5:1 that says Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it. The answer to Jeremiah's parable above is Jesus who is the truth. According to Jeremiah 5:1 if a person witnesses Jesus everywhere, that person through Jesus will pardon and bless everyone in their city and nation.

Thomas Brooks in the 1600s commented on Jeremiah 5:1 and said 10 righteous souls could have saved Sodom and Gomorrah. But only 1 righteous soul could have saved Jerusalem. One saint who denies sin and refuses to be a friend of this wicked world can bless a city, nation, and a world of sinners from confusion and destruction. Psalm 33:12 says Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance. Proverbs 14:34 reads Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Psalm 9:17 says The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Notice the picture above of how one holy man Paul saved an entire ship's crew from drowning in a storm. The picture above shows us how we should treat our enemies. In the picture above Paul is saving the Roman soldier who imprisoned and persecuted Paul on the ship shown to be sinking. Everyone on the ship pictured above was saved because of the presence of holy Jesus in one holy man named Paul. One christian's holy life can save and bless multitudes of peoples and nations everywhere.

The story of the above picture and Paul's encouragement is at Acts 27:22 and says And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God (theophany visible manifestation of the Lord Jesus who Paul served and worshipped), whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. Holy Paul was the plank used by all that sailed with him to get safely to shore.

Another example of how holiness saves nations is at Isaiah 19:24 and how holy Israel during the millennium will cause Assyria and Egypt to be blessed. Isaiah 19:24 says In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

Notice the picture above of how one holy man Aaron praying with incense stopped a plague from killing the people of God. I pray that everyone reading this will obey Galatians 6:9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. People's lives around us are in the balance and our holy walk with Jesus and prayers for others will save people's lives. James 5:16 says Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Numbers 16:42 says And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Get ye up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces. And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly to the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun. And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people. And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
